Without further ado, let the chapter begin!

"Raffy, do you have visual on the cookies?" Violeta whispered through her walkie talkie. She and Ava were hiding in the tree house. They peeked out of the window to look for the cookies.

The grownups were at a table chatting with each other with a few plates of food in front of them. The kids couldn't find any cookies anywhere and they heard Rafael's voice from the walkie talkie.

Rafael said, "I spot them inside the house! I need some help with getting our cousins distracted!"

Violeta grinned and said, "We're on our way hermano."

Violeta motioned for Ava to followed her out and they quickly climbed down the steps. Before the kids could hurry inside, they heard Circe asked, "Violeta? Where are you two going? And where's Raffy?"

"I'm taking Ava to the bathroom! I think Raffy is talking to Julio about something about school." Violeta lied.

Circe raised an eyebrow and said, "Okay...But remember not to eat any cookies. We're waiting for the pizza to be deliver here. We don't want you kids to spoil your appetite."

Violeta gave a salute and hurried inside the house with Ava.

In the living room, their older cousins were sitting on the couch chatting away. Well, Lucia and Rosie were talking about stuff while Julio was focused on playing a game on his phone that combining numbers.

The kids quietly tiptoed past the couch and they jumped when they heard Rosie asked, "Where are you two going?"

"Nowhere!" The girls replied and glanced at the kitchen. Rafael was motioning for them to keep them distracted. However, Lucia began to giggle, "Raffy, we see you."

Rafael groaned quietly and crawled out from under the table.

"You know your mom told your two to not have any cookies yet." Julio said without looking away from his screen.

The kids began to pout but Rosie started to smile, "You kids can have one cookie. But you can't tell anyone that we let you kids have one."

The kids cheered happily and hurried to the kitchen to get the cookies.

"We said one cookie!" Lucia warned.

"Sorry!" The kids exclaimed and hurried to place the cookies back to where they found them.

Lucia made sure they returned the cookies before they heard Rex called out, "Hey Rosie! Can you come out a second?"

"Oooo." The kids began to say, thinking that Rosie got in trouble.

Rosie quietly gulped, she's starting to think that she might be in trouble for something. She wasn't sure what but she guessed it must be something. She got up and exit the house.

"Am I in trouble?" Rosie cautiously said while her parents looked at her.

"No? What did you do?" Rebecca asked and Rosie quickly denied, "Nothing."

Rosie took a mental note to not let her parents find out that she looking to adopt a dog at a shelter. But she knew that she'll eventually tell her parents about it soon.

Rex quickly pulled a chair out for Rosie to sit and smiled, "So Rosie, since you're graduating this year, what do you want to do? Your parents said that you hadn't decided what to do to celebrate."

Rosie figured out what he meant. When Julio and Lucia graduated from high school, Caesar and Beverly let the twins decided what they wanted to do. Julio wanted to throw a party at the house, while Lucia wanted to go hang out with her friends out of state. Now it was time for Rosie to decide what she wants to do. She did say that she wants the whole family to get involve with the celebration too.

Like a small reunion before she goes to move into her college dorm.

"What about a party? We can have it anywhere you want." Beverly suggested.

Rosie crossed her arms and admitted, "I'm not too fond of parties."

"Come on kiddo! You only live once! Just invite your friends over and we'll make sure you're having fun." Rex said as he ruffled her face.

Rosie started to look gloomy and looked away awkwardly. Rosie calmly said, "Uncle Rex, think about what you just said right now."

Rex raised an eyebrow and noticed everyone giving him dark glares. He suddenly realized what he said and nervously smiled, "But you have a bunch of friends now, right?"

For some strange reason, Rosie has a problem with making friends throughout the years. There were times that Rosie had a few friends, but they were Ryan's friends that accept Rosie into their group when they were younger. When Ryan ended some friendships, that's when Rosie got excluded. Sure, Rosie has Farron as her friend now, but it was only because her mom had to help her out on that one.

"Well, I have Farron as a friend. There's Aaron but he's my boyfriend now. Unfortunately, Emily can't hang out because she's in another state. So, a party is out of the question." Rosie bluntly said and grabbed a cupcake. She handed it to a tiny hand that was reaching out from under the table.

Ava popped her head out from under the table and smiled, "What about going to Disney World?!"

"Yeah! Disney World!" Violeta agreed and popped her head out from the other side of the table. Rafael appeared from behind Rosie's chair and grinned, "Are we going to Magic Kingdom? Or Hollywood Studios? Or are we going to Epcot or Animal Kingdom?"

Rosie giggled at the kids' excitement but sigh, "I really hate to burst your bubbles kids but that's not happening."

The kids immediately looked bummed out and Ava winced, "Why not?"

"You know dad hates going to Disney World. So, I won't make him suffer by taking him to the magical place on Earth." Rosie said.

Six was grateful that Rosie wasn't going to pick Disney for her graduation gift. However, he did notice the vacant and dull look in her eyes. Rosie always has a smile on her face and would look happy. The only thing that stands out is the look in her eyes. That's what gives away whenever she would be sad or upset.

"If it means that much to you, I guess we can go just this once." Six admitted and resists the urge to make a face.

Rosie looked up at him and looked hopeful. She cautiously said, "We don't have to go dad. If you don't feel like going then we can plan something else."

"I think your father wants to see you act like a kid again if we do go." Rebecca smiled.

"Going to Disney does sound like fun. Its going to be the kids' first time going." Circe admitted and the kids got even more excited.

Rosie felt her body shake in excitement and said, "Can we really go dad? You have to promise! No take back!"

"You know I am a man of my word." Six promised and Rosie squealed happily as she immediately got up from her seat. She gave her father a big hug and smiled, "Thank you daddy! This will be the best family trip ever!"

"So this is where your sources said that we could find the child?" Zane cautiously asked as he looked around the vacant town.

Biowulf said, "There's been rumors going around town about a child causing some fires to appear. Since this is a small town, they didn't think it involves nanites. So Providence wouldn't know about this."

Zane raised an eyebrow and tried to figure out where the child could be hiding at. Something came to his mind and he questioned, "Do you have anymore information? Like what's the gender of the child or the age?"

"All I could get is that the child is a toddler."

Zane mentally groaned, out of any of the age groups, why did it have to be a toddler? He was obviously not great with kids. Look at what Zane did with his sister at the first few years of her life? Zane ordered, "Biowulf, go get Breach over here. If I find the child then I might need someone to help me."

Biowulf obeyed his command and left his side.

Zane started to walk through the streets and stopped near a boarded up building.

This brought him back some unpleasant memories.

Suddenly, Zane heard a faint whimper coming from inside the building. He raised an eyebrow, the child must be inside the house.

"Okay Zane. I got this." Zane mumbled and looked around for an opening.

There was an opening by the window at the back of the house. Zane looked through the broken window and called out, "Hey, is anyone in there?"

Zane quickly ducked when a large fireball flew over his head. He heard the toddler's cried growing even more louder as the child was clearly getting more scared.

"Hey calm down!" Zane warned but backed away when more fireballs kept coming out of the window.

"Having a little bit of trouble Zaney?" Breach taunt as she appeared right beside Zane.

Zane jumped but glared at her, "Can you make a portal appear in front of Rosalind?"

"Of course I can. I really want to see Lindy again." Breach grinned and formed her crimson portal in front of them.

Zane moved his head through the portal and looked around. He noticed that the portal was inside of Rosie's room. The lights were off but Zane spotted Rosie in her bed. She was sleeping peacefully and Zane exit the portal.

"Hey Rosalind." Zane said as he roughly shook her.

Rosie grabbed the knife from under her bed and threw it at Zane as she was waking up. Zane quickly dodge and glared at her, "Hey!"

"What are you doing here?! Mom! Dad!" Rosie yelled but Zane grabbed her wrist and dragged her to the portal.

Zane complained, "Now I have no time to explain. Let's go!"

Zane pushed her to the portal and they were in front of the house. Before Rosie can yell at Zane, she heard the toddler's cries from inside the boarded house. She saw the fire balls coming out of the window and it slowly stopped.

"What did you do?" Rosie mumbled.

Zane argued, "I was just checking my sources about a child make fires appear. Supposedly the child's mother was one of the people that the mad doctor experimented on with the nanites. Since you love kids, you can calm it down."

Rosie glared at him. She wants to argue with him but hearing the child's cries broke her heart even more.

Without much options, Rosie slowly approached the broken window and calmly said, "Hi sweetheart? Are you okay?"

The cries slowly faded away, the only thing she could hear was faint sniffles.

Rosie peeked through the window and noticed a little boy was hiding behind a broken sofa. She immediately became overwhelmed with strong instincts and started to climb through the window.

"Its okay sweetie." Rosie whispered.

She felt her heart bursting when the little boy started to reach for her and started crying again. Rosie carefully picked up the toddler, she held him close and pat his back.

Rosie started to felt something hot dripped on her shoulder. She kept flinching as the liquid felt like tiny droplets of burning lava. The little boy kept burying his face in her shoulder and that's when she felt more of the warmth.

"This is strange. You seem fine but yet you're burning up like crazy." Rosie whispered until Zane looked through the window.

Zane remarked, "Good luck with that. I don't want to be around when Providence shows up."

"What? Zane, you can't just leave me alone." Rosie quietly hissed until Zane disappeared with Breach.

Rosie resist the urge to mutter some curse words, she held the toddler closer and kept trying to calm him down.

"Just when I think nothing weird can happen after we capture Van Kleiss and Michael." Rosie admitted.

She was at the Providence base with her parents, the toddler and a little girl.

After Rosie waited for half an hour at the town, her parents finally found her and had a small squadron of agents ready to capture Zane. She had to explain to her parents about what happen and all she knows.

During the time that Rosie was waiting for help to arrive, she met with a little girl.

The little girl is the toddler's big sister, she was sent to another room to answer some questions.

"Aidan, you need to let me go." Rosie whispered to the young boy.

Aidan stubbornly shook his head and cling onto her tightly. Rosie sigh quietly and looked at her mother. "Does he really have nanites?" Rosie asked. Rebecca finished with the testing and said, "He does have some active nanites but its not altering his DNA to turn him EVO. Although it doesn't explain how he gained his fire abilities. It would make sense if he was born with these powers. His body temperature isn't normal."

Rosie got up and adjust Aidan to hold him near her hip. She held him with one arm and moved her hair back with her free hand.

"What about Samantha? Does she have nanites in her too?" Rosie asked.

Rebecca looked through her clipboard and said, "Samantha has no nanites, which doesn't make any sense. If her mother was one of Michael's test subjects then both kids should have gotten some powers."

Rosie yawned tiredly, "Well we need to interrogate him to find out how many people did he experiment on. I have a feeling its more than what he's telling us."

"You need to go back home and go to bed. You have school tomorrow and I know you wouldn't want to miss your classes tomorrow." Rebecca suggested.

"I would mom, but I need to know what's going to happen to the kids?" Rosie asked.

Rebecca smiled, "Don't worry about the kids. They'll be safe here until we figure out what's going on."

Rosie nodded slowly nodded and looked relieved to see Aidan was sound asleep in his arms. She handed the little boy to her mother and stretched tiredly, "I'll see if Agent Calan can escort me back home."
