Hey everyone! I was playing around with this idea and I decided why the heck not. So here's a little something spooky to start off the festive season. Enjoy, and a Happy Halloween!

"Argh!"

Danny cried out as he was slammed into a wall. He shook his head to clear his mind and opened his eyes to find Skulker floating in front of him. "Ready to surrender, welp?" he taunted.

The hero just groaned in annoyance before blasting an ecto-ray at him, "You could've chosen any time to hunt me down, but the weekend before the big English paper is due? Really?"

"I am a hunter! I pounce when you least expect it!" the ghost responded before firing a missile from his suit at him.

Danny launched into the sky and easily dodged the weapon. "Not so much unexpected, more just inconvenient," he sighed before creating an ecto charged snowball to pack a little more punch. He threw it at Skulker, sending him flying down into the street, where Sam and Tucker had just arrived with their spare thermos.

Skulker just growled as he sat up in the destroyed pavement, a malicious grin crossing his face, "Then perhaps I should rid you of your human burdens." He raised his arm and a few projectiles shot out of a barrel on his wrist.

Danny wasn't quick enough to dodge all of them, one planting itself on his bicep. He yelped in protest before noticing Skulker advancing quickly. Thinking fast, he dodged the attack and blasted Skulker back into the pavement, using his own momentum against him.

The hunter landed with a grunt and Tucker took this opportunity to uncap the thermos and quickly capture Skulker while he was still down. "Sorry we took so long man," Tucker said, capping the thermos, "We had to ditch Valerie."

"You guys saved my butt, so we'll call it even," Danny smiled, slightly out of breath from the fight he'd just finished. Sam smiled back and made a comment about something, but suddenly, Danny couldn't hear her through the loud ringing in his ears.

He grunted, cradling his head in his hands and cutting off Sam mid sentence as his arm began to burn. He looked down at the dart still in his skin and quickly, and stupidly, pulled it out, ripping his suit a bit and revealing a significant cut.

"Danny?"

His eyes snapped open, but they weren't his. Bright red had replaced green as his gaze now held a menacing glare. His teeth clenched and hands grabbing at his hair. He felt another wave of burning sensation flow through his jaw, the pain making him clench his teeth even more.

He looked up and growled at his friends, making them step back in sudden fear. This made him pause and he frantically looked around the two, backing away from the pair. With one more bewildered glare, he turned away from them and flew up into the sky, disappearing into the clouds.

"That… was weird," Tucker was the one to break the silence, "What's wrong with Danny?"

Sam slowly shook her head, still staring at where her friend once was, "If I know anything about Danny, it's that that thing is not our friend," she turned to Tucker, "That was what almost hurt us when Freakshow came to town."

He noticed the dart laying on the ground and picked it up, mindful of its sharp needle. "Whatever it is, we have to find a way to fix it. Did you see the way Danny looked at us?" he shivered, "We just have to find out where he went, then we can start figuring out what happened."

Sam's expression suddenly grew very worried. "Tucker," she said tentatively,"Where does Danny go when he's having a rough day or feeling down?"

His eyes widened before he met her concerned gaze, "Oh crud."

"Bye Elsa! We'll be back later tonight!"

"Goodbye!" Elsa called back from her room as she heard the front door close, leaving her alone in the house. She was grateful for the time alone. It allowed her to focus on editing her English paper. She loved her family but sometimes, no matter what she did, they were so distracting.

So she sat at her desk with her laptop open and a cup of tea nearby. Her balcony doors were open, letting the fresh early fall breeze sweep through her room, and one of Danny's sweatshirts practically swallowed her small shoulders, the sleeves going over her hands as she worked. She was correcting her intro paragraph when something suddenly crashed into her bedroom.

Now, living in a ghost-attack-prone town, it could only be one of two things. 1) a ghost had stumbled upon her house or 2) her ghost hero boyfriend was paying her a visit.

She jumped at the initial noise before relaxing at the sight of white hair. Ghost hero boyfriend it is. Elsa smiled as she turned in her chair to greet him but paused when she saw him still on his hands and knees, breathing heavily with the occasional grunt. Thinking he was hurt, she lept to her feet and rushed to his side.

"Danny?" she asked carefully, "Are you hurt?"

At the sound of her voice, he froze, and there was nothing but tense silence filling the room. Danny's head snapped up, revealing his startlingly red eyes that made Elsa step back. She backed away from him as he got to his feet, his shoulders rising and falling with each labored breath as he glared at her. "Danny?" she asked.

He didn't respond, but he started to follow her as she moved, backing her up against the wall. Her back met the hard surface and she cursed her luck for getting herself cornered. "Danny stop it, you're scaring me."

He got closer and slammed his hands onto the wall on either side of her, making a startling noise and causing a couple picture frames to fall off the wall and clatter onto the floor as he growled.

Elsa flinched at the action, turning away from him in confusion and fear of what the hell was going on. She couldn't make sense of any of it. But her heart stopped as he growled again, his eyes dangerous, and leaned closer to her.

"Daniel, please!" she shook her head at him, "Stop!"

And he did. He froze in place, his eyes wide and distant. He blinked, looking back at her.

There, she saw it. She saw her boyfriend in those ruby eyes that didn't belong to him. He backed away from her, peering at her as if trying to remember who she was.

"Pr-Princess?"

His voice was so soft and unsure, it made Elsa's heart flutter. "Danny…" she breathed, still pressed up against the wall.

He noticed her body language and shook his head, "I-I can't… Argh!" he fell to the floor at the foot of her bed with a sudden cry of pain, his head falling into his hands. After of few moments of him remaining in the same place, Elsa thought it safe enough to carefully approach him, testing an inch at a time. She noticed his breathing, like he had to work for each breath, and his skin that seemed paler than usual and slightly sweaty. He seemed panicked, lost even, like he couldn't see through his own eyes.

Her heart went out to him as she watched her boyfriend flounder for a coherent sentence at the foot of her bed. The fear was clear in his eyes and all caution was thrown to the wind as she stepped slightly closer.

"Hey hey, shh," she soothed him, "It's me, it's Elsa. I'm here."

Danny looked up at her through pleading red eyes and practically sobbed, "Everything hurts…"

Her heart broke at his plea for help. She knelt down next to him carefully, not wanting to provoke another scary outburst. It was then that she saw the cut on his arm bleeding pure ectoplasm. She stared at it for a moment, confused, before she watched as he suddenly groaned in pain and cradled his jaw in his hands.

In an instant, nothing mattered more than helping him. "Danny, what can I do?"

He looked over at her with uncertain eyes, almost as if he was unsure of the answer. "I-I want… I need… blood."

The way he said the word made her shiver. As he spoke, she could make out a set of fangs that had elongated in his mouth. She was thrown off by his answer, caught fully off guard as the words took a second to process in her brain, but she saw the desperation in his eyes as he searched for a way to make the pain in his body stop.

Elsa wanted to make it stop. "Here," she offered her arm and pulled up her sleeve to reveal her skin and the veins beneath it.

She watched as his eyes widened and his nostrils flared, his upper lip beginning to curl up into a snarl. But then he covered his nose and mouth and turned away from her, mustering up the little strength he had to stand and try and resist.

He was easily caught by her. She stood as well and took his hand, keeping him from moving away from her. She could feel him start to shake and he was beginning to look worse and worse as the seconds ticked by. All fear of him or his actions was gone completely, not even a lingering thought staying in her mind. Instead, she wanted to care for him, help him. He seemed like a lost child who didn't know what to do or how to act. She pulled him back to her and he weakly compiled, but he kept his head turned away.

"I-I… might hurt… you," he shook his head, "C-Can't hurt you."

She sat down at the edge of her bed, not letting go of his hand and bringing him down with her, "No, Danny it's okay. I want you to," she assured with a smile. He still looked cautious, obviously not wanting to hurt her. Elsa then took off her sweatshirt and revealed the tank top underneath.

She let one strap fall before reaching out and taking his chin in her hand. "See?" she gently led his head into the crook of her neck. She felt him stiffen, but he made no move to resist. She turned her head so her lips brushed against his ear, "Doesn't it smell good?"

He took a deep long breath and sighed at the wonderful smell that pulsed just under her skin. He wanted it so bad. He needed it. So Danny took her in his arms suddenly, making her gasp as she was slightly lifted off the bed. His hand hesitantly moved to cup the back of her neck. He lifted his head slightly and pressed a soft kiss to her cheek, making her relax and melt into his hold.

His nose fell back into the juncture of her shoulder and her neck. His brain was just swimming with a need to drink and the girl he cared for most was offering herself to her. That's what made it ten times more intense for him as he placed a sweet kiss on her skin. A low growl rumbled against her neck as he punctured the spot with his teeth.

Elsa gasped. It was an uncomfortable pinch when the fangs pressed through her skin, and that's the only part all the movies and TV shows and books got right. The feeling afterwards, however, was pure pleasure.

Elsa's head lulled back into his hand as she sighed in content as he drank from her, her fingers digging into his shoulders. She arched her body further against his as warm wonderful fire stemmed from his lips, traveled to her heart, and washed through her whole body. She let out a moan when she felt his grip tighten on her, his name falling from her lips in a breathy mantra.

"Danny."

Now she understood the pictures and paintings of vampires holding women close to them on a soft bed, because it felt good.

After a little while, she began to feel a little lightheaded and she began to lean more into his arms for support, her grip on him slipping. That's what drew him away from her neck, taking his warmth with him. But she breathed heavily, somehow feeling content. She felt Danny lick over the spot he drank from in a caring and sweet matter, as if he was cleaning the spot or taking care of her.

She sat up all the way as Danny started to move away, but Elsa's unsteadiness on her own kept him close to support her. He stared at her for a moment before turning intangible and going through the floor. A few moments later, he reappeared, a glass of orange juice in his hand, one of her favorites.

Elsa couldn't help but laugh ever so slightly as he handed her the glass, nodding for her to drink it. Once she started to, he tentatively moved to sit behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his head on her shoulder. "Feel better?" she asked, turning back to look at him.

He nodded and paused. Then he reached over and took her free hand, squeezing it tight, " … Sorry…"

"It's okay," she assured him, leaning against him as she finished her orange juice, feeling a little better, "I wanted to help you."

He shook his head, his hold on her tightening as he hid his face in her shoulder, "Scared… not… n-not myself."

It seemed like it was hard for him to speak, like he couldn't fit the words out. She looked over at him in surprise before setting down her empty glass on the floor, beginning to feel more steady. She turned around to face him and opened her arms.

He stared at her with big, worried eyes, before quickly leaning into her, accepting the comfort as she held him. He was frightened and confused, but he had her by his side, that brought him at least some comfort.

"My hero," she praised him softly as she ran her fingers through his hair to soothe him, "My brave, strong hero. It'll be okay."

His response was closing his eyes and nuzzling further into her. She laughed before accepting the wonderful warmth he offered.

The peaceful moment was interrupted by a banging on the front door, making both Elsa and Danny jump. It soon stopped by the sound of the door opening and footsteps thundering up the stairs. Sam and Tucker then burst into the room. "Let her go!" Sam shouted as she fired at Danny, making him jump back off the bed.

"Wait!" Elsa got to her feet and turned to Sam, "I'm-"

"In the middle of something Elsa," Sam said as she hurriedly shoved her out of the way and took aim at Danny with her ecto gun.

Danny narrowed his eyes and growled as he watched Elsa stumble back into Tucker, who caught her and quickly told her they'd used the spare key to get in. A protective instinct like he'd never known flooded through him and he moved to attack. After all, it was Elsa's blood that was running through his veins - his loyalties were to her.

Tucker moved forward and readied the thermos, but Elsa jumped in between them in order to stop the fight, "Guys, don't!"

Both sides froze and lowered their defenses. Tucker blinked, "B-But, he's dangerous. Elsa, get away from him!"

"He's just scared," she urged them before she shrugged, "He doesn't know anymore than us." She turned to him to find his eyes unsure and afraid as he watched his friends' every movement. She smiled at him softly and took his hand, "Don't be scared, Danny."

He seemed to relax under her touch and Sam and Tucker watched with fascination as Danny, even in his crazed state, treated her with care and looked at her like she was his whole world. But Sam gasped when she noticed something, "Elsa, what's that on your neck?!"

She only blinked back at the goth before turning to look in her vanity mirror. Sure enough, there on the side of her neck was an ugly bruise right where Danny had bit her.

Tucker's eyes widened has he finally noticed the fangs in Danny's mouth, "Did… Did he-?"

But he stopped short when Danny's hand suddenly grabbed Elsa's neck. Both his and Sam's grip on their weapons tightened as Danny turned her head to the side to look at the mark himself. All his anger and hostility melted away in an instant as he looked up to meet her eyes. "Sorry…" he said, looking like a puppy with its tail between its legs.

Her hand touched his chin delicately as she shook her head, "Danny, I'm fine, really. I let you, remember?"

He nodded hesitantly before leaning his cheek into her hand, nuzzling it softly.

Sam and Tucker watched in awe at the way the two interacted. Tucker blinked before looking at his friend, "Why doesn't he remember us?"

Elsa shrugged, "I'm not sure he remembers me, but I am the one who fed him."

"We need to fix this," Sam stated and Tucker nodded.

"Danny was hit with a dart in his fight with Skulker earlier today, and ever since he wasn't himself," he just shrugged, "I tried to analyze what was in the dart with whatever tech I had but there's no way I can figure it all out without advanced equipment, not to mention a serious ecto-scientist."

Elsa sighed heavily as she glanced at Danny before turning to the others, "Well, there's only one person I can think of who can help Danny."

Vlad Masters stared right into the red eyes of Danny Phantom and saw no traces of the hero he used to fight.

"And what exactly do you want me to do?" he turned to the teenagers that were gathered around him.

Sam narrowed her eyes, "Fix it! You've studied ghosts your whole life. There must be something you can do."

"Mr. Masters please," Elsa spoke softly, trying to reason with the man, "I know you and Danny are enemies, but I also know you wouldn't want him seriously hurt." Even if it was for personal gain.

He seemed to think about this and he turned to look at Danny one more time. The boy only responded with a glare and a snarl, revealing his fangs. Vlad's eyes widened before he turned to the teens, "You said he was hit by a dart?"

Tucker nodded, reaching into his bag and carefully retrieving the dart. He handed it over to the man and he inspected it for a moment before moving over to the bookshelf in his office. After pulling a certain book out, the wall opened and turned to reveal a mini lab. He silently placed the dart into a container and ran a computer program. "And there's no signs of any pain?"

Elsa looked uneasy, "Well…"

Her voice caused the older man to look at her, but he stopped when he noticed the mark on her neck, "Did… did he feed from you?"

She froze and placed her hand over the mark, having not thought to cover it up in their rush to cure whatever was happening to Danny, "Yes."

He blinked back at her, "And… you didn't… you're not… how are you still alive?"

"What do you mean 'still alive?'" Sam demanded.

Vlad glanced at the ghost boy again, "That dart seems to have contained a serum that would inhibit Daniel's human half from being accessible to him, turning him into a full ghost. Naturally, the change is not easy, and his body would crave human blood to replenish all the blood that's being lost," he looked straight at Elsa, "If a ghost wants blood, it'll usually take all of it."

Elsa shook her head at him, "But, he knew who I was. He was so gentle."

"Then there's still a bit of Daniel Fenton in there and we still have time," Vlad nodded, "I can reverse engineer the serum to create a cure, but," he quickly took his handkerchief and swiped a bit from Danny's wound, "I need a sample of his blood."

Danny gaped him before growling and looking at Elsa, like a little kid who was looking for someone to do something in retaliation. She just scoffed and shook her head with a small smile, "Don't give me that look."

Tucker shook his head, "I don't like this. We shouldn't trust him."

Sam crossed her arms, "I agree, we don't know what he'll put in the antidote."

"Danny Phantom is a very powerful hero, powerful enough to best me on good days," Vlad admitted as he began to work, but he turned to the four of them with a solemn look, "If Daniel loses his humanity, who knows what havoc his ghost could spread."

Tucker looked to his friends before taking out the thermos, "But why would Skulker even want Danny to be a full ghost."

Sam thought for a moment, "Skulker's always hunting ghosts. Danny is not just a ghost. Maybe he thought it would give him the home field advantage."

Tucker scoffed as he twirled the thermos on his finger, "Fat chance. Danny would kick his butt anyway."

And then the thermos fell to the floor with a clang, the side flashing the word "release."

"Tucker!" both Sam and Elsa yelled at him as green mist swirled into the air and Skulker materialized in the air.

"Haha!" his voice boomed through the room, "Fools! You cannot contain the ghost zone's greatest hunter! For my plan is sure to-Argh!"

An ectoblast suddenly knocked him back into a wall. Everyone look to see that Elsa had taken Sam's gun and just shot at him. She handed her gun back to her friend and the other two sprung into action to try and hold Skulker back while Vlad finished the formula.

"Of all the times to forget my ecto gun," Elsa huffed.

Vlad scoffed in retaliation as his hands moved furiously across the keyboard to try and finish the antidote, "Of all the times for a villian to show up."

But Elsa's eyes found Danny as he began to zero in on Skulker fighting his friends. "Danny, don't," she reached over and held his shoulder, already knowing what he was thinking, "Don't exert yourself."

Skulker then flew over and knocked the girl away from him. She cried out as she flew back into the door of the office.

"Little minx can't help but get in the way," Skulker spat out before Sam and Tucker began to distract him again, trying to keep him away from Danny.

But Danny looked over at Elsa who was rubbing her shoulder in pain. He rushed to her and moved to help her up. It was strange, like he could feel her pain. His gaze lowered to the ground, "My fault… all my fault."

She looked up at him and shook her head, "What? Danny, no. I'm fine. See?"

He didn't listen to her, red eyes turning murderous as he looked at Skulker. He growled before launching at the ghost with a speed unlike anything anyone had seen. He tackled the ghost to the ground and berated him with attacks, his bare fists denting and scraping the metal of Skulker's armor.

The ghost pushed Danny off of him and began to fight back, firing and striking what he could. But he couldn't get a hit on Danny, he was just too fast. He yelled out as his hands charged with green ecto energy and fired at Skulker unrelentlessly.

Sam, Tucker, Elsa, and Vlad all gawked as Danny began ripping apart the ghost's metal armor piece by piece, sparing nothing. He'd never fought like that before and, suddenly, they understood why.

His humanity was gone.

He stopped when there was nothing left and held up the small weak ghost in his fist. He wasn't out of breath and hatred burned in his eyes. He charged his other hand up, eyes not wavering from the ghost as his intentions were made clear.

"Danny, wait!" Elsa called out to him before approaching him carefully, letting Tucker hand her the thermos. She reached out and took the arm that was charged with ecto energy, making him pause in his actions. She quickly used the thermos to capture the ghost and handed it off to Sam.

She was surprised when she felt two hands grip her upper arms and turn her back to Danny. "Need," he started as he stared right into her eyes and held her tight, "Need to… protect."

Her heart softened at his intentions and she smiled reassuringly at him, "Danny, I'm okay. Really. I would tell you if I wasn't."

"Finished," Vlad huffed as he pulled out a small vial, "Just have him drink it and he'll be fine."

Elsa moved over to take it a looked up at the older man, "Thank you Mr. Masters."

"Don't ever mention it," Vlad narrowed his eyes, "And I mean ever."

The teens took that as their cue to leave and they did. "You guys can go," Elsa offered, "I can take Danny home."

Sam gave her a wary look, "Are you sure?"

Elsa just smirked, "I think I can handle him on my own."

"Okay," Tucker compiled before pointing a finger at her, "Let us know if the antidote backfires, and if you need anything, don't hesitate."

She smiled, "I won't." She gripped the antidote tightly in her hand before turning to Danny. "You think you could take us to your house Danny?" she asked.

A small smile spread on his face and he silently took her in his arms before launching up into the sky without another word. Elsa couldn't contain her yelp of surprise, or stop herself from gripping Danny tightly as he flew faster than he'd ever gone with her. It was certainly not one of their relaxing night rides.

She huffed when they finally arrived and Danny phased them into his room. She wobbled on her feet for a moment before sitting on the bed. Danny just stood there at attention, watching her. She sighed before patting the space next to her.

"Here," she offered him the vial as he sat, "Drink this. It'll make you feel better."

He took it, but looked at her with uncertainty. She knew exactly what he was thinking. Should they trust it? After all, it was Vlad who'd "helped" them.

Unfortunately, they had no other choice.

So, he took her hand in his and drank what was in the vial. It took a few seconds but he suddenly seemed very tired. His eyes drooped and he began to sway a little. Elsa was quick to catch him and lay him down on the bed. Soon, he was knocked out, asleep on his bed.

Elsa watched him carefully as he slept, making sure his parents didn't come home and find Danny Phantom on their son's bed. That would be hard to explain.

But she stopped when a flash of white light came from the bed and she looked over to find Danny Fenton sleeping soundly and peacefully. She sighed in relief and moved over to the sleeping ghost boy, sitting beside him and brushing away his bangs.

He blinked a bit, tiredly looking at her, "Elsa?" he began to sit up and look around, "Wha-What happened?"

"Sh," she smiled, ecstatic he was okay as she pushed him back down onto the bed, "Everything's fine. Just go back to sleep, okay? We'll talk later."

He closed his tired eyes and nodded, but not before grabbing Elsa and pulling her down with him. She laughed as he snuggled up to her and held him as he went back to sleep, beyond grateful that he was back to normal and safe.

"Wait wait wait wait," Danny shook his head as he started at his girlfriend, "You're telling me that I turned into a vampire?!"

"And drank my blood," she finished with a smirk before blush covered her cheeks, "I didn't mind."

He blinked at her, "Didn't it hurt? Oh god, Elsa I'm so sorry."

"No," she shook her head as she leered at him, "It didn't." He blinked at her, not fully understanding, before she shook her head and waved him off. "Eat," she gestured to the plate of food sitting in front of him, "It'll help you feel better."

A full, genuine smile spread across his face as he gazed adoringly at her, "What would I do without you?"

"Well, for one thing, you'd still be a vampire-ghost."

"Love you too, princess."
