Hello everyone ! This chapter include everyone classes, stats and everything else, they will be written like this if you don't want to read them, this chapter will be very long because of that.

Chapter 3: A Story to tell

A new day has begun inside The Great Valley, after the group of seven and their parents woke up and eat they made their way to another place, they were currently in the group of seven spot talking to each other.

Grandpa Longneck: "Light told us a lot and I wonder what more can he tell us about this situation, he seems to know a lot more but it looks like he can't tell us everything"

Grandma Longneck: "The way I see it he probably wants to protect everyone, with what he have done yesterday"

Mr Threehorn: "Speaking of last day the first thing I'm going to ask him is how the hell did he make that fire appear out of nowhere, there were no black sky puffies and no sky fire in the sky either, I even check with other dinosaurs in the area when that happened!"

Tria: "Only one thing to do is to wait for him to come here, he knows the way here right?"

Mama Flyer: "Yes! I show him yesterday"

The kids: "We saw him, he should be here any second now!"

Light: "Hello everyone! I hope everyone sleep well"

Mama Swimmer: "Yes we did Light, and we hope that you can answer all our questions today"

Light: "Like I said yesterday, your world is in grave peril for Him and his army of monsters and only courageous dinosaurs can beat him"

Grandma Longneck: "You keep saying Him but do you know at least his name?"

Light: "Sadly no… no one was able to live long enough to know it"

Tria: "I know you need courageous dinosaurs to beat him but yesterday you said to us that tails, horns and even claws don't hurt them so what can we do?"

Light: "Well technically they can hurt them but it would take all the dinosaurs in the Great Valley to beat one of the strong ones, meanwhile they will be attacked from every angle so… it's a bad idea!"

Mama Flyer: "So you must have a way to beat them if that isn't enough…right?"

Light: "Affirmative! I have come with weapons and magic for the courageous one to beat this menace"

Grandpa Longneck: "Weapons and…magic? What are these things Light?"

Light: "Well weapons is if you remember from yesterday are something like the stick I use to defeat the monsters with"

Mr Threehorn: "Glad you say it now I can ask, what was that wall of fire that appears out of nowhere, it was you is it not!?"

Light: "That was magic! It's a force that is inside of everyone and can be summoned to do a large number of things and depend on the person using it!"

Littlefoot: "If you have all of that why you can't do something about it? We need all the help we can get"

Light: "I wish I could but there are two problems with that!"

Grandma Longneck: "And what are those problems?"

Light: "Well… I already try to do it my world with three of my friends before Him came to reign here and we lost… I'm the only one left!"

Cera: "And the other?"

Light: "There's one thing you don't know about Him but only persons of the world he is in can beat him, normally all be lost because you have no way of defeating him before I came here but there's no way that's happening again here!"

Grandpa Longneck: "Anyway like you said earlier we need courageous ones to do it but that will let The Great Valley in danger"

Light: "Indeed! But no needs for that because I already sensed everyone inside the Great Valley and the one that I choose are there!"

The kids: "You mean…us?!"

The grow-ups: "You're kidding right? There's no way that we let kids do that especially if there are our kids!"

Light: "But I feel it! And these kids have more experience of adventure which surpasses everyone from what I gather here by the other dinosaurs"

The kids: "Ok we will do it! If it is the only way to save the Great Valley but... how we do it?"

Light: "Each one of you come in front of me, I will attribute the power needed to do just that!"

Ruby: "I will go first! First I will go!"

Ruby walks in front of Light, he puts his paw on her forehead and close his eyes for a minute and a second after he let his paw of Ruby forehead she feels a rush of power in her entire being.

Ruby: "I feel like I can run for hours! Hours I can run now!"

Light: "Now if you place your hand on your heart you will have all the information of what you can do now, try it!"

Ruby do has she was told and place her hand on her heart, when she does that a menu appears in front of her scaring everyone around and herself except Light.

Everyone except Light: "What is that?"

Light: "It's the menu, that will show you a number of information about yourself and what you are capable"

Ruby: "It's great and all but I don't understand a thing and I'm sure everyone else does! Everyone else doesn't understand a thing but it's great!"

Light: "Oh sorry I forgot that dinosaurs can't read but don't worry I will arrange that now!"

With a snap of his fingers Light makes everyone here able to read everything they read.

Light: "That should do it!"

Everyone except Light: "Wow I can read everything now thanks Light!"

Ruby: "Light what is a Priest? A Priest is what?"

Light: "It's the role you have in the group, a Priest is a person that stays in the back while healing or using supporting spells to help the others in the group and can also damage enemies with wind spells, I hope it suit you!"

Ruby: "Why there are so many numbers between things like HP? So many numbers there seems to be!"

Light: "That is your characteristics, HP mean Health Points, it's the amount which determine the pain you can take before fainting, MP mean Magic Points, it's the number which determine the amount of magic you can do before you run out and when it does you can't use it anymore, Strength is the amount of force you have to damage other monsters, Defence is the amount of resilience you have against damage taken by monsters, Agility is how fast you act in a battle, Magic is the amount damaging spells do to monsters and Wisdom is the amount of protection against damaging spells and the strength of healing spells!"

Ruby: "And what are all these words after? There seems to be a lot of grey ones! A lot of grey ones there seems to be!"

Light: "These are your spells and skills Ruby, spells are all the magic you can use in battle and the skills are special technique you can use with your weapon in battle as well, the grey ones are just the ones you can't use right now but when you will become stronger you will have access to them!"

Light: "There is a special thing about Priest, although they don't have any points in Magic their damaging spells deals damage based on their Wisdom stat! Now I will give you a weapon and a shield for your protection"

Light handed to Ruby a curved stick with a line connecting the two end of the stick, a round thing which surface seems to be skin but not the skin of dinosaurs with a handle in the middle and a little long quiver which surface is the same as the thing before with a lot of feathers stacking just above the opening, she of course along with the others doesn't know the name of the three objects until Light said to them.

Light: "This curved stick is a bow and the round thing is a shield! You place your hand in the middle of the thing behind the shield to take a hold of it! When you take an arrow from the quiver which is the thing here that is a little long and place it in the middle and stretched the line you will add speed, power and travel distance to the arrow, after you choose your target and let loose of the arrow, it will react like this!"

Light did everything he said and targets a tree not far away from the group and let loose of the arrow, in a couple of seconds the arrow travels to the destination and everyone cannot believe seeing the trunk of the tree with an arrow in middle of it.

Light: "Also the quiver is magic and will replenish by itself! You will need to train a bit to do what I just did but I believe in you, so you can begin to train if you want I will just need you later! The bow is named a Short Bow and the shield is named a Leather Shield!"

Ruby did what he told and takes a couple of steps away from the group and begins to train with the bow, her left hand in the middle of the bow and the handle of the shield on her elbow, her right hand which is already on the top of the quiver to take the first arrow so she can begin to shoot at the tree trunk.

Ruby: "I will train until there's no need train with the bow! With the bow I will train until there's no need to train!"

Light: "Alright! Who's next?"

Ducky: "I want to be next yep, yep, yep!"

Ducky walks in front of Light and everything that happen before repeats itself for her, after that she runs in a pond not far away and begins to swim in it.

Ducky: "The water feels like the wind when it touches my skin it is! it is!"

Ducky return to the group and place her hand on her heart which makes her menu appear in an instant.

Ducky: "Light what is a Minstrel?"

Light: "A Minstrel is a person in the middle of the group that cause trouble in the monsters group like making them sleep but they can also support the group with healing spells and even use damaging spells! Minstrel are always happy so I hope you like it!"

Light: "Now I will give your weapon and shield"

Light gave a couple of feather connected to a little handle and a Leather Shield, Ducky and the others have no idea what the feather thing is until Light said to her.

Light: "The feathers connected to the little handle is a fan, you might think that feathers can't do much but they're actually sharp enough to do some damage!"

Ducky takes the feather fan with her right hand and the handle of the shield with her left hand.

Light: "Who's next?"

Chomper: "I'm next! I want to save my parents, my friends and everyone in the Valley!"

Light: "You certainly not a normal Sharpteeth and that made you different from everyone of your kind in a good way!"

Once again Chomper walks until he is in front of Light and everything repeats itself again like before, after that Chomper runs and jumps everywhere for a minute before he calm himself.

Chomper: "I feel a lot stronger than before!"

Chomper place his clawed hands on his heart which made the menu appears suddenly again.

Chomper: "Light! What is a Monk?"

Light: "A Monk is a person in the group who is in front for the battle but unlike the other members in the front they have master the control of theirs instincts and use them to get stronger but can't use magic, something you do everyday here despite your true nature! Now here's your weapon and Leather Shield."

Light gives Chomper a Leather Shield and a glove with 3 claws made of stone on top of it with a handle inside the glove, but everyone except Light doesn't know this until he said.

Light: "This is a claw like yours Chomper but unlike yours these ones are placed on a glove so there's more reach to hit enemies with and these one are made of stones!"

While Chomper equips the shield and the claw glove, Light notices something strange about Chomper, it takes him a couple of seconds before Light can see what was wrong and grins before he talks again.

Light: "Chomper you are really unique you know that?"

Chomper: "What do you mean by that?"

Light: "Well look at your friends who already have a weapon and how they use it then look how you are using yours, you will see!"

Chomper: "But nothing is wrong, they use their weapons like I do!"

Light: "Look at their hands, then yours now I hope you will see"

Chomper: "…Wait! I found it! They use their right hand while I take mine with my left, I'm sorry for this mistake let me fix tha…"

Light: "Nothing's wrong Chomper, you're left handed that's all!"

Chomper: "Left handed? What's that?"

Light: "It means that unlike 90% of the dinosaur you use your left hand more than your right hand"

Chomper: "Now that you mention it, it's true! I do use my left hand a lot more thank you for telling me!"

Chomper having his left hand occupied with the stone claws he puts the handle of the shield on his right hand before he returns to his friend.

Light: "Next one, in front of me thanks"

Petrie: "Me don't want to do it because it's scary but Petrie want to be with his friends!"

Light: "Fear and courage are connected young one! They can't be one without the other, sure you can be scared but every time they were dangers around your friends you did what you have to do to save them despite the danger itself and that is enough to prove that you are a courageous one!"

Petrie walks in front of Light and like before everything happens like before, suddenly Petrie fly into the sky for a couple of minutes and said while he was flying.

Petrie: "Me could fly all day like that!"

Petrie lands again and put one of his little claws of his wings on his heart, like before a menu suddenly appears again.

Petrie: "Me ask Light what is a Mage?"

Light: "A Mage is in the back of the group and launchs powerful damaging spells and can help the others with support spells like making one stronger or lowering the monsters defence but they are not the person with the most strength and defence"

Light: "Now I will give your weapon and a Leather Shield"

Light gives a Leather Shield along with the stick he used against the monsters yesterday which Petrie takes and hold the staff with his right wing claws and the shield with his left wing claws.

Light: "If you remember yesterday I use this stick to defeat the monsters with! It's called an Oak Staff and will help you use your spells!"

Petrie: "Me doing what you did yesterday? Me can't believe it!"

Light: "Yes Petrie! And you certainly will be stronger than me one day, I believe in you!"

Spike walks in front of Light just after Petrie left and everything happens again, then Spike lifts one of his front paws on his heart and a menu appears in front of him like the other one.

Spike: "Grunt?"

Light: "A Warrior is a person in the front of the group and protects the others with their strengths and their defences, but they can't use magic except for skills and are kind of slow, I hope you will like it!"

Spike's spells:

Light: "Here is your Leather Shield and this!"

Light handed to Spike a Leather Shield and a handle connected to a thick stick with small spikes on the surface, but before Spike takes them Light said.

Light: "This thick stick is an Oak Club, I hope you like the spikes on them!"

While Spike equips the club and the shield Light saw that Spike have the handle in his mouth and the thick part was on the left side.

Light: "It seems that Chomper is not the only left handed on your group little ones, Spike is one too with the way he handles his weapon, what are the odds?"

Light: "Also Spike, sorry to tell you this but to use your skills you will need to say the name of the skills so you will need to talk"

Ducky: "Spike only said my name once and what was when I fall a long time ago, it was the only time he talks between his hatching and have not talk after the accident either"

Light: "Well Spike lives on his world inside of his head but it is necessary to him to talk otherwise you will have problems against the monsters and Him, but don't worry it should be only several minutes to gather enough magic to make him talks"

It takes a minute for Spike after he has open his mouth with the weapon in it to say something. He has his weapon on his left like Light said earlier and the shield on his right forepaw.

Spike: "I-I-I'm-hungry!"

Everyone except Light: "Spike!... you…talk!"

Spike: "Mom? Can I go eat?"

Mama: "Of course honey"

Light: "Well it's very basic talking but that will do"

Cera: "I'm the next one! Sorry Littlefoot"

Cera walks in front of Light and like always everything happens again, then Cera lifts one of her front paw on her heart and a menu appears like all the other time.

Cera: "Oh great! I'm also a warrior, I would have be glad to have be a different one like the others!"

Light: "But every person is different like I said, look your characteristic and you will see that they are not the same as Spike"

Light: "Here's your weapon and the Leather Shield for you!"

Light gives Cera a Leather Shield and a long handle which looks like it was made from a orange stone with the tip having three spikes that look like horns, everyone have no idea what it was until Light said.

Light: "The long handle with three spikes is a spear and that spear is called a Bronze Lance, bronze is a orange rock you found in caves, if you take the handle at the other end of the spikes you will a long reach to be able to strike your enemies with, It look like a Threehorn, I hope you like it!"

Cera takes the handle on her mouth with the spikes on the right side and the shield on her left front paw.

(Bronze Lance ATK 8/ Leather Shield DEF 4) (In case you are wandering where I got it it's from Dragon Quest XI but has 17 ATK while Dragon Quest IX have a Iron Lance which is also 17 ATK so I took it and reduce it, it was that or a Bamboo Pole which is 6 ATK)

Littlefoot: "It's my turn then!"

Littlefoot walks in front of Light and for the last time everything happens one last time for him, suddenly a ray of light coming from the Bright Circle touched him for only a couple of seconds before it disappears, after the ray of light has disappears everyone except Light.

Everyone except Light: "What was that?"

Light: "No… it's impossible… Littlefoot check your menu, if it is was I think this is we will know right away but... that happens to one in a million of person in the world!"

Littlefoot did as his was told and lifts one of his front paw on his heart, the menu appears in front of him for everyone to see it, when Light saw the information on the menu he said to him.

Light: "Littlefoot… consider yourself very lucky, you are a Hero!"

Littlefoot: "Ok… what is that?"

Light: "Well like I said it's very rare but a Hero is in the front of the group and they're strong and resilient but not as strong and defensive like the Monk or the Warrior, they are fast and can use magic like damaging spells and support spells but they are not as fast and can't use magic as well like the Priest or the Mage but they have spells that neither of them can use so it's very powerful!"

Light: "There is only one weapon for a Hero, take the Leather Shield and this!"

Light gives a Leather Shield and a handle with a sword guard, the rest of the weapon seems to be from an orange rock like the bronze from before but it is lighter and a little less stronger and durable than the bronze from earlier, of course everyone doesn't know this until Light said.

Light: "This is a Copper Sword, it's made from a similar orange rock from the caves and it is even lighter and more common than bronze but it's a little less strong and durable that bronze itself! After the handle you have the part that protect if there's a clash of weapons and the rest of the weapon have both side sharp enough to slash monsters with!"

Littlefoot takes the sword handle in his mouth with the blade part of the weapon in the right side and the shield on his left front paw.

(Copper Sword ATK 7/ Leather Shield DEF 4)

Light: Now that's done Petrie and Ruby come here, I will need the both of you next, Littlefoot and Ducky watch closely because that will help you later!"

Petrie and Ruby walks in front of Light while the other kids ant their parents watch behind.

Light: "You two are the only ones capable of doing magic right now! Littlefoot and Ducky will need to become a little stronger before they can as well, Petrie you have the first damaging spell of the fire group which is named Frizz, despite being the weakest of all the damaging spell Frizz is the most difficult to learn and when someone learns it the other will be more easy to learn but they will difficult too. Now Petrie I will need you to concentrate as much as you can to use the magic inside of you while placing your staff in front of you and when you have gathered enough magic you shout the spell name while pointing the staff at me!"

Petrie: "Me don't want to hurt you Light!"

Light: "Don't worry I can take it Petrie, now begin to concentrate"

Petrie closes his eyes and begins to concentrate like he was told, it takes several minutes until a green circle appears around Petrie like yesterday for Light, when Light and everyone else saw it Light said.

Light: "Yes Petrie! Concentrate a little more! You're almost there!"

Petrie continues to concentrate with his eyes closed, this time it only takes a couple of minutes for the second bigger circle with strange lines between them to appear, when Light saw this he said to him.

Light: "The spell is ready! Now launch it Petrie!"

Petrie opens his eyes and screams the spell name with his Oak staff pointing towards Light.

Petrie: "FRIZZ!"

Suddenly a little ball of fire appears on the tip of the staff, she launchs herself in the direction of Light and hit him in one second, Light moves back two steps before he returns where he was before leaving just a grey spot on his chest.

Light: "Congratulation Petrie! You can now use magic!"

Light: "Now Ruby! I want you to do everything Petrie did but you have access to the Heal spell, you will use it on me to heal the damage did by Petrie! It's a support spells that like his name suggest it can heal other persons from little scrapes and little claw marks on their bodies!"

Ruby closed her eyes and begins to concentrate like Light said, in a couple of minutes the first green circle appears around Ruby, when everyone saw it Light said to her.

Light: "Just a little more Ruby, you're almost there!"

Ruby continues to concentrate and like before the second bigger circle with strange lines between the two appears in a couple of minutes after the last.

Light: "The spell is ready! Now Ruby scream the spell name and extend your hand to me like you would do it to stop someone!"

Ruby: "HEAL!"

Suddenly a green little light shot from Ruby's left hand and reach Light in a couple of seconds, when the light touched him a green fog appears around him but the fog is not wide so everyone can see Light just fine despite the fog, in a couple of second after the light touched him the grey spot from earlier disappears on his chest, when he saw the result he said to Ruby.

Light: "Congratulation Ruby! As you can see my chest is normal again, you can also use magic now!"

After Light has said that everyone looks around them and notices that The Bright Circle has already passed the Great Valley walls and that the sky was orange now.

Grandpa Longneck: "Look at the time everyone, it seems that we passed lunch time and it's almost time for dinner now, this talk has taken most of the day"

Light: "Yes and now it is the time for me to return in my world but I have one thing to give to Ruby & Petrie, one thing for everyone to hold their weapon and shield while you're travelling, also there's one more thing about the monsters and another thing about Him that I didn't tell you earlier!"

Tria: "What do you mean by that?"

Light: "Well I will give both Ruby and Petrie all the knowledge about all of their spells and skills along with the way to teach others magic and all the knowledge i have about the monsters and Him!"

Light walks in front of Petrie and Ruby and begins to concentrate, several minutes after he extend his hands and touch Petrie and Ruby's forehead, like he said Petrie and Ruby feels all the information inside their brains in a instant.

Petrie & Ruby: That's a lot to remember but this will help us for sure!"

Light then shows everyone a leather holster with a metal handle on it to place the weapon and the shield inside, of course no one knows what it was or how to use it before Light said.

Light: "This is a holster, you use it by placing it on your shoulder where you will use your right or left hand depending on the person to take them, for example Littlefoot, Cera, Petrie, Ducky and Ruby will need to place theirs like this!"

Light then puts the holster around his chest with the handle on the back of his right shoulder and turns around so that everyone can see what it looks like from behind, then Light takes off the holster and grabs four other holsters and gives one to Littlefoot, Cera, Petrie, Ducky and Ruby, just after they have it they do what Light has done and puts their respective weapon and shield inside the handle, having done that Cera said to Light.

Cera: "That's better! I was beginning to feel stupid having that spear inside my mouth, thank you Light"

Light: "As for Spike and Chomper, they will need to place yours on your shoulder like that!"

Light grabs another holster and place it around his chest again, but this time the holster is on his left shoulder with the handle on the back, then he turns around again to show Chomper and Spike what it looks like from behind, he then takes off the holster and grabs another one, he then gives one to Chomper and Spike, like before with the others have done the both of them puts their respective weapon and shield inside the handle, after he did that Spike said to Light.

Spike: "I prefer using mouth to eat with"

Light chuckles upon hearing that, he then said to Littlefoot and his best friends.

Light: "When you face monsters little ones the monsters will not attack before you choose what to do in your turn unless they ambush you from behind, when that is done the fastest in the battle will attack first, then everyone follows after depending on their Agility and when everyone is done you will continue to choose until all the monsters are defeated; Finally I suggest that Littlefoot, Cera, Spike and Chomper to be in the front while Ducky is in the middle and behind them, Petrie and Ruby will be placed behind Ducky, the monsters will attack the front more often than the middle and the back group but they can still attack you so you need to be cautious"

The kids nods their head to show that they understand all of it.

Light: "Now the thing about Him is that along with the monsters, he can also control other dinosaurs so you will probably saw them on you adventure"

The kids: "Thanks for everything you did for us Light!"

Light: "All of you have the right to be happy here, now one last thing before I go, your weapons and shields are also magic and will change form when you will become stronger!"

Light then walks a couple of steps away from the dinosaurs, with his right hand he creates a blue circle light, then he turns around one last time before he leaves the group and said to them.

Light: "I hope you will all succeed little ones, this is probably the last time we will see each other but who knows what the future hold from us? Now your quest has begun!"

And with that Light walks inside the blue light which disappears after he crossed it.

Littlefoot: "We will do everything we can right everyone?"

Cera, Spike, Ducky, Petrie, Chomper & Ruby: "Yeah!"

Grandpa Longneck: "Come now little ones! You need to eat your dinner and sleep well tonight for your adventure tomorrow"

With that said the kids follows their parents to eat and Ruby & Chomper made the way to the Secret Caverns so they can eat together.
