I don't own digimon.

Session 89

WTF

Issacmon took a deep breath.

For as annoying as being in a jail cell was, he was finally able to take in a cup of tea. Which in his book, somehow balanced out being imprisoned in such a plain enclosure. At the very least, they could've taken the time to

On the other side of the bar, a human sat in a chair. Currently, they were fiddling with what appeared to be a picture of some sort. Compared to his room, there seemed to be slightly more going on. Machines of all sorts could just be made out, but their uses seemed to elude Issacmon. Not that he was willing to give it much thought.

"Who are you?" a police officer inquired. "We have no records of you in our systems. If anything, you could tell us your story."

Issacmon only sighed and focused in on the officer. Currently, he was eating some sort of pastry, possibly a muffin. He had hoped for a part of it, but doubted that such a piece would come to him.

"It all began a long time ago, in a place called the digital world…" the 'angel' started and focused his gaze off into space.

.

Primary Village.

The place where almost all digimon begin their lives. There, we come upon a plain purple egg. One or two quick rubs later, a light blue blob of jelly attempting to pass itself off as a ghost from pac-man appeared in a stone cradle.

"Hi!" the poyomon greeted, only to be fed a fish by Elecmon. Which the baby digimon proceeded to spit out. "Tee, tee!"

"You want tea, then?" Elecmon inquired and took a deep breath, watching the baby digimon give a nod. "Fine. I'll get you some tea."

With that, he walked away and returned with a tiny tea cup for the baby digimon. After mumbling something about being out of tea, the caretaker seemed to grow smaller and smaller until he faded out of sight. It was the last time he had ever saw of Elecmon. If he had been slightly more mature, maybe he would've gone searching for the caretaker. But no, he whined a whole bunch until he turned into a tokomon. He began to wander about the digital world after that, making the occasional friend here and there. Yet, it all felt meaningless in the grand scheme of things. What's the point of a drifter without a reason to really drift?

Of course, purpose quickly came to the whitish pink pig in the form of a portal on the ground. Which proceeded to suck him up and drop him out into a large square enclosure. Said enclosure was decorated with black walls and an orange carpet, that seemed to somehow complement all the wood furniture housed within. There were the usual staples such as the bed and the tables, along with a variety of wooden cups and plates. Heck, he could just make out a vast variety of wooden silverware to boot.

A young boy sat in the middle of all of it, playing with what appeared wooden teddy bear and tiger. For some reason, he seemed quite surprised by Tokomon's arrival.

"Hello?" the boy had greeted as he took the pig and his teacup in. "Are you my partner?"

Tokomon gave a confused glance, unsure of how to answer the kid's question. On one hoof, he was just as confused as the boy. But by that same argument, he could use that to take advantage of this situation for his own personal gain.

"I'll be your partner, but it'll cost you." he explained and held the teacup up. "Bring me some tea."

The boy seemed to stare at him for a couple seconds, letting a sigh out afterwards.

"Fine." the boy answered and made his way towards the door, giving the pig a quick glance before exiting. Tokomon chose to wait, pretending to be a plush toy for the time. In retrospect, maybe he should been a wind-up toy. At the very least, those were given some attention by people.

Seconds turned into minutes, combining into hours. Those combined once more, choosing to become days. By that point, they all had congealed together into what seemed to be a month. After that, he could only watch as person after person passed him up. And then Joey showed up. Right away, Tokomon could tell there was something different. Though, it could be the sign he had put up actually working for once.

"Uh hello there… Tokomon?" the child greeted and held up a metal tea kettle. "I brought you some tea."

Very carefully, he poured the brown liquid into the cup and watched the pig drink it up.

"What do you think?" Joey inquired as he watched the pig perk up.

"Amazing." Tokomon answered and was engulfed in a cocoon of light. When that disappeared, a slightly larger purple pig with ear wing things had taken it's place.

"Tokomon?"

"Tsukaimon, now." the former tokomon explained and flew up to his newfound master's shoulder. What followed, was the two getting shuffled around from home to home. And then the mess in Vegas, bringing us more or less to this point.

.

"Interesting." the officer remarked and let out a chuckle, only for the room to twist in shape. "Just as I thought."

Issacmon gave the man a confused glance, unsure what he was even talking about.

"Who are you?" the champion called out and got a laugh in return. He watched the man shift in shape, taking on the form of a familiar red creature. "Elecmon?"
"In the flesh." the caretaker digimon remarked as he stepped towards the cage. "Because of you, I ended up here."

"Here?"

Elecmon laughed and cracked a smile at Issacmon.

"This is an Infectors Base." Elecmon explained as his body began to mutate once more, his skin taking on gooey appearance as his body became all blob-like. "This is my home now. Soon, my children will join me"

Blessed Bubbles!

Issacmon responded by blowing bubbles at the creature. Which worked as well as one expected it to be. If anything, the attack probably strengthened the opponent.

Holy Fog!

Issacmon closed his eyes, somehow bringing forth a white mist. He took a deep breath and returned his focus to Elecmon.

"I'm sorry." he answered and walked towards the opponent. "Is there anything that I can get for you?"

Elecmon gave a confused glance to the angel and laughed.

"It's too late now, sonny." he snarled and slammed part of his body against the ground. "You made your choice a long time ago. Now, you need to understand the consequences of that choice."

Issacmon didn't listen, choosing instead to pull out his teacup.

"I would like to give you this back." Issacmon explained and held the cup out. "While I doubt this will change anything, it's better you having it than me."

Elecmon rolled his eyes, snatching the teacup away.

"See? That wasn't too hard." the caretaker remarked, only to watch Issacmon unleashed a torrent of Blessed Bubbles on him. "You idiot!"

With that, the digimon melted away as Issacmon watched on. Once he had paid his respects, a portal appeared and pulled him in.

Notes:

This is an absolute mess of a chapter. Yet, I'm kind of fine with that. Not a fun one to write, but necessary.

Next Time: Space Elevators and Polly. It makes perfect sense, somehow.
