Session 110

Race to the finish

With that, they crashed through the doors of the tower.

Inside, they found a staircase awaiting them. They charged forth, taking two to three steps at a time. Most of those capable of flight began their ascent.

"Took you people fucking long enough." Julie shouted and laughed. "No matter. When this is over, I'll be in the right."

"Sure, you fucking bimbo!" Fatemon screamed and flipped the sky off. Afterwards, he mumbled something to the ground. What it was, I'm not entirely sure.

Almost right on cue, MoonLilithmon appeared. The only real difference between her and a regular lilithmon was the inclusion of clothes.

"Boo!" the sole 'lilithmon' taunted, not at all amused by the comparison. "At least I grew out of that phase!"

Her master rolls his eyes and they pull out their weapons.

Nazer Blade!

A purple blade formed in the girl's hands, which she then threw at her opponent and watched them shatter. The mob then continued their way up, only to be faced by a new threat in the form of Evil TK.

"Really?" a large part of the group announced and some shook their heads.

"Waa." their opponent taunted and got a bullet to the brain.

The actual Evil TK shook his head, only to do a double take.

"Wait. I thought I came later." he remarked and got a laugh from a doppelganger.

"What were you expecting?" his doppelganger responded and flipped TK off. "You were weak, a joke. You couldn't even save your friends and you won't be able to save this world."

"So what?" TK answered and forced up the courage to crack a smile. "I would like to see you try."

He got no answer.

"That's what I thought."

They pushed their opponent to the side and headed upwards. While they did that, the author made a quick glance behind him. Somehow, their guests had been booted out. Which, made things far harder for no apparently good reason. Of course, he had a sneaking suspicion who may have been behind this.

"Jestery booted them out." Jestery remarked as the group made their way up, only to be faced by DarkRosemon. "Especially that whore. She never did anything right. Jestery bet she can't even die properly when the time comes."

Before the author could respond to Jestery's latest comment, a bolt of lightning then entered the body of the jester. She turned around, finding some slut dressed in a yellow and pink dress. The sort that one would see idols wearing at a concert.

"That whore was a far better woman than you will ever fucking be." the idol boasted and clamped her mike tightly, using her free hand to start up the device attached to it. Which began to play 'Solar Flare Sherbet' from the first 'season' of Pripara. Which is the best season of PriPara. But I digress.

"Is Fake Daisy challenging Jestery for later?" Jestery mocked, seeming more than ready to crush

"Absolutely."

With that, 'Daisy' launched forth another lightning bolt as Chaos followed right behind, managing to force herself back into Chaosanamon after so long. "Okay then." the author remarked and took a deep breath, only for ClockworkBiyomon to appear up in the air. She let out a squawk and swooped down towards the crowd, grabbing Makoto up in the process.

"Just my luck." the luckster remarked and gave his teammates a wave. "I'll handle her. You guys keep going!"

He took a deep breath and fired one final shot, cracking a smile as both he and the bird shot down towards the floor of the tower. Somehow, within all of that,

"You idiot…" Evil TK remarked and shook his head, taking a deep breath afterward. "May you rest in peace."

They continued onward, coming face to face with a Kimeramon. Unlike those seen at the sandpits, this one was mute and possibly a runt. It went down with little trouble or effort, being quite unremarkable when you got down to it.

Up they went, finding things to be clear. Or would've, if a large 'airship'

Gomamon warp digivolve too… Belphemon Rage Mode!

"You won't destroy us this time!" a voice announced as a demon lord and his destined braced themselves to hold it up for everyone else to pass through.

"This is it. End this for us." the man announced and let out a chuckle, giving his partner a chuckle.

"Indeed." Belphemon answered. "Thanks for everything."

"You too."

With the last of the group now past, that particular walkway buckled and they fell. But they were fine with that.

Their next opponent was Myotismon, who got knocked off the walkway and joined the handful of others down there. This was followed by a blonde haired cowgirl of all people. She probably had a name and stuff, but had been forgotten by all who knew her. Suicide is never the answer. Fuck.

"I want my guns back!" she then announced and charged forth without a care. "Give me my guns!"

Alice let out a sigh and fired both her pistols off, knocking the girl into the pile.

"Thanks for the guns." she remarked and turned her attention to the author. "Wait, why were those weapons even left there in the first place?"

The author let out a laugh.

"Partly so statues looked less silly and as backup arms for those that lost theirs in the previous battle."

A good chunk of the crowd 'fell' over, unamused by that last bit of trivia and continued on. Next up was some weird bug digimon whose name is an absolute pain in the butt to even type out, getting reduced to edible piece to be feasted on later.

"I have returned, digidestined!"

Somehow, this person had forgotten that most people didn't even know what that even was or the proper term to be called. So Kyoushi and the rest decided to take the time to educate him while the rest dealt with Daemon. Which was a piece of cake, especially with the group they had.

The succubus trio came next.

Yumi Barrage!

Lily let out forth arrow after arrow, not stopping until she was certain the trio had gone down. It did feel a little odd shooting herself though.

"Don't remind me." the succubus remarked as a demonic looking dude stepped forward with his wrench. "What's your problem?"

He didn't answer, especially since the horde of past digimon adventure villains appeared.
"Eat wrench." the dude announced as he charges toward Devimon, sinking his wrench into the fallen angel's skull. The other members of this horde took a couple steps back, only to quickly fall to the might of the forgotten character.

He motioned for the rest of them to head on. They did just that, finding another horde. Demon Lords this time. Second to the royal knights in use, one would at least expect them to be a bit of a threat… if this were some other universe. But since this was the digitalverse, they were hardly anything more than a piece of cake to deal with.

Helter Skelter!

Bastemon began belly dancing, seeming to at least catch the attention of the opponents and join in. Sadly, all that results from that is them falling into

"You got this?" Kuro inquired and got a nod. "Sounds good."

Next was Nagamon, who got a bullet from TK.

"In all seriousness, what was their big deal?" the gentlemanly asshole inquired, only to get a sigh from Sachiko.

"If I had to take a guess, it was probably something petty." the geomancer remarked as a very late demon swooped down, only to be taken care of by Usagi.

"You couldn't be on time, could you?" the former complaints girl announced and wrapped her hook around the opponent's leg, flinging her into a nearby wall. "I did it! I did it!"

And while I'm not sure if my assistant should be celebrating such an accomplishment, it was nice to see her at least in good spirits. Of course, that didn't stop her gyroid friend from keeping a close eye on her.
"Yeah..." Chacha remarked. "You sure did…"

She took a deep breath and turned her focus away from Usagi. While Mahora still hung in her mind, she was willing to fight alongside her 'sidekick'.

They headed upwards, finding themselves staring down Lord Hazardmon and Rune. Strangely, this copy of Rune didn't have his pet super ultimates. Not that such overpowered toys would even exist, still.

Hazard Slice!

Blade: Flame!

A pair of blades swung through the air, ready to take on their counterparts on.

"Huh." Lord Hazardmon teased as he made a quick glance towards his counterpart. "Never did I think I would be fighting beside you for a second time."

"Sure breadhead." Rune answered and cracked a questionable smile."You know how I feel."

"I wouldn't want it any other way."

They fought like old friends, going down with their opponents. But not before embracing each other as they fell over the railings.

"Aww…" Jestery remarked and took a snapshot. "Sucks to be them."

What remained of the group headed on, actually getting quite a bit further before the next threat appeared in the form of DarkSeraphimon. Who still seemed quite mad about the whole 'Adventureland' mess. Which last I heard, hadn't seen a single customer. Even after Jestery had the park to herself for an entire day.

Heavenly Arrow!

Toxic Spray!

Somewhere in the middle of the arrow's trajectory, it got coated in some sort of toxin and slammed into the mega.

"For Nora." a cardboard angel remarked and took a deep breath. "I will not let you take us down!"

She and Letorramon charged forth, knocking their opponent over the edge. The rest of the group headed on, only to be faced by the lucky ones. Or would've, if an airship hadn't sailed through the castle. Though, it did also take out what remained of the 'tamers' of Alpha in the process. Which at least left their digimon alive.

"Dammit." at least one person (probably the author) announced as a second Jestery appeared.

"How dare you, Julie!" Jestery screamed and flung her duplicate into the opposite wall. "You will pay."

An aura of energy engulfed the jester as she dashed up the next couple flights of stairs, dealing with a the Digital Despair bosses in the process. Of course, that left the large corrupted version of Chaos up next.

"Team up?" Daisy inquired and Chaos signed something to her. "Uh… translator?"

Sachiko let out a groan. For once in what seemed like forever, she wanted kick his person's ass. Not because they were treating her friend in a way that either of them would want, but because she saw where this was going and didn't want it going that particular way.

"She says yes, you idiot." the geomancer answered and tapped her spear against the ground, launching the trio up at the opponent. The rest of the group headed onward and were faced with a floating goldfish of all things.

"I got this!" a voice announced and Swaggy McSwaggypants charged through the crowd, slamming his banana into the fish. For the resulting sight, it was quite anticlimactic. One would've at least expected the dinosaur to at least do something cool or maybe interesting with the fish. But that wasn't the case, with it coming across as more of a curbstomp than anything.

Yet they continued upwards, making a bit more progress before they were faced by NekoGamblermon Despair Mode.

"Let's do this." Alice remarked as her fiancee swooped down towards the beast…

Only for the two to watch five beams of energy just appear out of nowhere and slam into their chosen opponent.

"I guess that works?" Elena remarked and Alice sighed, turning her attention to Blossom and his troupe of creatures in magical girl costumes.

"Surprise! Did you really think that nefarious jester would be our end?! I think not!" the 'magical boy' announced to the group as his mother let out a sigh.

But they continued onwards, finding both Talos and Sir D-Bag in their way.

"Surprise, motherfuckers! I have returned!" the douche announced to the world and was promptly kicked out.

"Good riddance." Officer EMT announced as Yami appeared, who he just picked up and flung out with Talos. "What possessed him to become an angel? He supposedly immortal to begin with."
"Beats me." the author remarked as they headed up, the timekeeper awaiting them further up.

"I'll handle this." Evil TK remarked and let out a deep breath, firing both his guns into the copy. He wanted to shout at the copy, ask him why he did what he did. But the gentlemanly asshole knew the answer he would get wouldn't be worth all the time he had spent fighting. Yet he still shouted, letting out how he felt without a second thought. Once he had gotten that out of his system, TK took one more shot as tears began to fall down his face.

"You deserved better." he whispered and rejoined the group. For once, they actually made it up quite a bit before they were faced with their next threat: A large white horse thing being ridden by a smaller pink cat. Said pink cat was currently doing a crossword

"Uh... this is an actual threat right?" someone inquired, possibly to make sure that they weren't high at the moment. And to answer their question, they were.

Judg-

Before they could even get their attack off, Officer EMT ran them over. Of course, Hera and Death were up next.

"What the fuck over?!" Hera screamed as she tackled her duplicate. Death did something similar, using her scythe to tear her duplicate apart.

"Okay then."

The now much smaller group were still doing quite well, even if it did seem to dwindle down quite fast.

Their next opponent were the angelic trio in their unfulfilled and unfinished glory.

"You know what, we have better things to do at this particular moment." one of them announced and they jumped down, joining their 'friends' at the bottom. With their 'defeat', that left just the members of the order.

First up, was Shade.

Flare Blitz!

Wood Hammer!

A bird made of flames dashed up the stairs to the opponent, carrying a girl holding a weird-looking hammer. Which she then threw at the order scientist. Somehow, this was more enough to defeat him and bring their next opponent, Cora.

"Boo!" Jestery announced and teleported her away, hopefully to a better place. "Oh wait…"

Somehow, the jester had forgotten that they were supposed to be defeating these people. So she teleported the copy of her assistant back and gave her a slight push.

"Is that better now?" she inquired as copies of Fatemon and Chacha appeared, only to be torn to shreds by Gentleman. At the very least, he could've given their counterparts a chance at fighting. But oh well.

Despair came next, only to just spontaneously combust.

"She was useless. And doesn't count." Julie announced and everyone rolled their eyes, finding Devi to be the next on the chopping block. Yet, all he seemed to do was stand in place without a second thought. So the group pushed him out of the way and climbed a few flights of stairs, finding themselves staring down the corpses of Alice's parents and a cactus.

"Uh… sorry?" the blackgatomon from earlier remarked and got a sigh from Alice.

They headed up, finding the Gostelows next. Who were promptly flung into the pile below. They didn't really deserve to get a proper battle, especially after all that happened.

The top finally came into view after that, with everyone's pace seeming to speed up. Not that I can blame them. After all this shit, I too would want a piece of this crazy woman.

But as they reached this fabled destination, the author found he was the only one there. And, someone had built a house at the top of all of this. Possibly to mock them.

"Now then." Julie announced as he made his way over to the house. "Let's settle this, shall we?

.

On a totally unrelated note, a woman in another world feels her presence being called. She exits her cafe and begins to fly up into the sky, not at all caring about the cold against her emerald green cloak. At the moment, those sort of pleasantries came second to possibly saving the world. She quickly becomes a dot in the sky as what appeared to be a portal hovered slightly above the ground. From it, a wagon pops out.

Notes:

Well that was a cheap move.
