(Originally Began: April 5th, 2020)

Pikatwig: Before we begin today's chapter, I would like to give well wishes to Rio Komiya, who plays Juru Atsuta/KirameiRed in Mashin Sentai Kirameiger. He has recently been confirmed to be carrying the virus that has been a current outbreak all over the world (and I am refusing to name it to avoid upsetting anybody). Production on Kirameiger and all other Toei shows have been halted while they disinfect the studio. We currently know there are enough episodes of Kirameiger and Zero-One filmed to last up until May. All we can do right now is wish Komiya-san and everybody else at Toei well.

KKD: This leaves me concerned for the situation in regards to the next Reiwa Era Rider season, but that's neither here nor there, but I'm looking forward to what's coming up.

Pikatwig: Also, for some reason, there's a giant robot in Kirameiger that is not only part train… but also part dinosaur.

KKD: ...what?

Pikatwig: I mean… you could make the case it's supposed to be based on Godzilla rather than a dinosaur, but still…

KKD: *looks at it* ...I mean… it's kinda in the name of the mode that it is a dinosaur… albeit old school T-Rex with the bipedal look for the sake of the suit actor, but still...

Pikatwig: Onto something a bit more silly/cute. The week the second episode of Kirameiger aired, Super Hero Time opened up with a little disclaimer from Aruto and Juru reminding the kids to wash their hands.

KKD: And… to gargle apparently. I don't get that one, maybe it's something we here in the States know nothing about, but still. Good call.

Pikatwig: Basically, it's a Japanese superstition that a clean throat prevents a cold. Kind of like how, in America, having a scarf around your neck will prevent you from getting sick in the winter.

KKD: I guess that makes sense.

Pikatwig: Heck, the Pokémon Company made an image advising the same thing.

KKD: Huh...

Pikatwig: Anyway, next chapter of RWBY Zero-One. Yay.

KKD: Nice. Hopefully things will go smoothly for our leads. Disclaimer, START!

"You… absolute… utter… IDIOT!" Commander Yaiba shouted at Yang.

"...what?" Yang responded.

"Don't you 'what' me! You managed to use the ShotRiser and transform into a Kamen Rider without authorization!" Commander Yaiba yelled, "And what's worse is that those things get DNA locked!"

"...that sounds like a design flaw…" Blake commented.

"So…" Yang began to speak, "These things get DNA locked how?"

"It happens as soon as you put the belt on in its full mode a-"

Yang then quickly took the second ShotRiser belt, slapped it on Blake's waist, and slid the ShotRiser into position. She then happily beamed, "There we go. Blake gets to be a Rider as well. Happy?!"

"Wh-Yang?! I wou-... I-I mean, that's hardly what the commander was…" Blake stammered out.

Commander Yaiba looked ready to try to strangle Yang for what she had just done, but she stopped herself, taking some deep breaths long enough to cool off. She then sat down and let out a heavy exhale, "...fine. Fine. I can work with this… Blake is a Rider. Good thing there's a person who's a Rider that I can actually TRUST!"

"Um…" Blake muttered.

"Belladonna, you're dismissed for the evening. Don't bother coming in tomorrow… you're not fired, but I don't want you in tomorrow. Xiao Long… meet an hour and a half earlier than normal. If you're late, I'll have your head…" Commander Yaiba told the duo.

Yang scowled in response, but simply saluted with Blake as the two left without another word.

Meanwhile, far far away, a campsite was set up for the White Fang. Adam looked over the dozen or so people that were still working for him.

"Alright then, Faunus. Today, we are going to show the world just how much of a waste those machines really are… and, additionally, how much humans should fear us…" Adam told the people around him, all the Faunus cheering as the red-haired Faunus stood in front of them.

A destroyed HumaGear clattered against the ground, which caused Adam to smirk gleefully. He then witnessed his team get to work on gathering supplies into the vehicles for another mission.

"Sir, what of these… Kamen Rider things?" one Faunus asked.

Adam gave a somewhat annoyed scoff in response, "We will deal with them when the time comes. For now, just be ready for our next move…"

"Yes sir."

File 04: From Shadows! The Third Kamen Rider Dashes Forward!

Morning eventually arrived and Blake rubbed her tired eyes a bit as she woke up. She saw that Yang was gone, as were the keys to her motorcycle, and that she was currently alone. Blake nervously started her morning routine a little before she proceeded to pick up her phone and dial up Ruby.

"Moshi-moshi?" Ruby called out.

"Good morning, Ruby," Blake greeted.

"Ohaiyo, Blake," she beamed.

"Stay off the phone!" Fukuzoe shouted.

Blake simply sighed, "Did I call at a bad time?"

"No. Me and Penny-"

"Penny and I…" Weiss corrected.

"Penny and I... are going to be making a delivery today, and we're going to a sushi joint that I actually have a coupon for. It's gonna run out today… so… do you wanna go with me and Penny? Or would Yang like to go?"

"Yang is occupied with something. She got the commander pretty angry…" Blake informed.

"...how bad?"

"She's not home right now. I don't know what she's going through right now, but the commander told me to stay away. ...I'll probably need to make sure I have the med kit out for when Yang gets back…" Blake explained, taking a moment to write down that fact so she wouldn't forget, "As for me? ...sure, why not? I don't have anything to do right now."

"Awesome! I'll text you the location in a bit."

Blake then hung up and proceeded to grab some casual wear for her trip. She paused upon looking at a bow that was nearby, then proceeded to tie it over her cat ear.

Blake eventually showed up at the sushi joint and headed in to find Ruby and Penny. When she found the two, Penny had just taken away a plate of sushi from Ruby and she could hear that Penny was saying something about making a deal regarding a HumaGear. Blake could then see the HumaGear was standing by the counter. The HumaGear looked fairly standard, nothing too out of the ordinary, but what stood out was how it was dressed as a chef.

"Penny, I didn't get to eat anything before we got to work. Plus, I asked Blake to show up so we could eat together…" Ruby reminded.

"Well, until Blake gets here, you're on the clock," Penny told her.

"Hey, young president?" another sushi chef, this one being a fairly old Faunus that had cat-like claws, "I'm backing out of the contract. Take him back."

"Eh? But why?" Ruby asked.

"Because it's a robot…"

"Sounds to me like he doesn't understand," Blake stated, finally deciding to make her presence known.

"Oh, hi Blake," Ruby greeted rather casually.

"Ruby-shachō. At least be somewhat more formal, even around familiar faces," Penny requested.

"There's a great value in HumaGears," Blake continued, taking a seat, "Just give him a chance."

"That's strangely optimistic for an A.I.M.S. member…" Penny muttered.

Meanwhile, over at the ruins of Daybreak Town, Horobi was watching footage of Kamen Rider Zero-One and Kamen Rider Vulcan that had been taken from the perspective of the Magia. He then turned over to another monitor to watch some fight footage of Team RWBY in the Vytal Festival. Jin eventually joined him in watching the footage.

"It would appear these girls are a dangerous factor once together… now that Red is Zero-One, and A.I.M.S. has a Rider of their own…" Horobi muttered.

"Well, if you think so, are you really going to ignore them?" Jin checked, "One of our human peons did tell us we should take care of them while we still can."

"...they are still separate in factions as of now. They are of little concern to us. Our plans can proceed without interruption…" Horobi spoke.

He then heard a loud roar similar to a bear and exhaled, "...the Grimm… if you'd expect humans to be useful at anything, it'd be clearing those things out..."

"True that…" Jin added before Horobi handed him a Zetsume Rise Key, "O~h."

"Another HumaGear has to be awakened, per the will of the Ark. Go deal with that while I deal with the Grimm nuisance…" Horobi instructed.

"Before you deal with that… there's some information I'd like to present you," Roman declared, walking over and handing a paper to Horobi, "Looks like we have more problems to deal with already…"

Horobi took the paper and saw that it, basically, was a declaration of war on the HumaGears made by the White Fang. "Hmph. It's nothing. Just a group of bugs to be squashed on our way to making life extinct…"

"Just felt like giving you the heads up before they strike with us unaware…"

Horobi paid Roman's warning no further mind as he exited their base…

=POISON…=

Back over at Hiden Intelligence's main office, Weiss had taken a moment to step out of the main meeting room. This left Fukuzoe, his HumaGear assistant, and one other employee on their own in the room.

"That darn excuse of a CEO… she's treating this like she's still in school and can slack off whenever she wants. And what is she even thinking by making a delivery in person?!" Fukuzoe shouted.

"This is so she can keep an eye out for the terrorist group should they decide to make a move. Additionally, Korenosuke had been known to do that as well…" the HumaGear assistant explained in a monotone voice.

"So that's why she headed to Sinceri-Sushi…" the other employee noted.

"Sinceri-Sushi, a three star-sushis restaurant currently run by a Faunus. It is the second-highest starred restaurant run by a Faunus in all of Remnant. The owner has been in search of an heir ever since he hurt his back," the HumaGear explained.

"So… what do you think we should do?" the other employee asked.

"Sanzo, we are going to leave them be. The company will look good if she contracts with him. And if it doesn't, we can use that as pretext to force our so-called president to step down," Fukuzoe concluded.

Before they could say or do anything else, Weiss re-entered the office. She paid the three no mind as she picked up some paperwork and walked out without another word.

"And what to do of our shachō's advisor girlfriend?" Sanzo asked.

"She has said the advisor is not her girlfriend. Numerous times…" the HumaGear assistant reminded.

"Well, as long as she helps us and the shachō, I see no reason to worry about her. No matter what happens, I benefit from it all," Fukuzoe smirked.

Weiss then re-entered the room with another paper in her hand, but only placed the paper on Ruby's desk and then added on a sign that indicated it was not to be disturbed.

"Well… thanks for trying to help, Blake…" Ruby shrugged as she and Blake were now sitting at another table in the sushi place, "I'll try and talk to the guy a bit more after we eat. I haven't been able to eat anything all day…"

"We do have to co-exist with machines given the current environment," Blake shrugged, "It is the way it is. It's all up to how people and Faunus decide to live with HumaGears."

Ruby nodded a bit before looking over the menu. She then turned towards Blake with a calm look, "How have you been emotionally lately?"

"Alright. Yang is an anchor for me and I'm an anchor for her," Blake stated.

"Anybody knows Yang would need one of those…" Penny muttered.

Yang, meanwhile, was running her 400th lap around the A.I.M.S. base, looking a bit tired, but refused to slow down.

"Another 400, Xiao Long. You need to prove yourself if you truly wish to be a Rider," Commander Yaiba shouted, then blowing a whistle.

'Since I know saying this will probably just make things worse… I'm going to think it. Screw you, commander. Your 'training' is nothing but an excuse to make me suffer…' Yang thought.

"So… those belts get DNA locked, huh?" Ruby commented, "That… seems like a heavy security flaw…"

"That's what I said…" Blake sighed, "Originally, the commander wanted that in place to make sure that if somebody in A.I.M.S. used it, it would only be able to be used by a trustworthy agent. ...she wasn't expecting Yang to be, well…"

"Yang?"

"Pretty much…"

"Yang always had a knack for breaking things…" Ruby stated, "Her mechanical arm would've been broken several times over had it not been for Oiji-san making it…"

"Your grandfather made it?" Penny asked.

"Only because I begged him over and over again for nearly a week straight…" Ruby exhaled.

"Hi Yang…" an eight-year old Ruby greeted, "Um… how are you?"

Yang refused to meet Ruby to her eyes, just bitterly looking down towards her missing arm.

"Well… Oiji-san brought something to help cheer you up…" Ruby informed.

Yang still refused to look up, even as Ruby showed her a box that was wrapped in yellow. Yang sighed as she opened the box and looked inside to find a mechanical version of a right arm with an autograph that read 'Take off towards your dreams. Korenosuke'.

"...Gramps…" Yang muttered.

"And I had to pick up mechanical skills in order to make sure it didn't get too heavily damaged…" Ruby recalled.

"Is that how you were able to craft Crescent Rose so easily?" Blake inquired.

"Yeah. Oiji-san and Qrow taught me all I know about mechanics," Ruby beamed.

"...where is your uncle anyway? We haven't seen him since the Vytal Festival…"

All Ruby could do was shrug her shoulders in response, "I seriously have no idea. He didn't even bother to show up to the funeral, but Yang's dad managed to find the time to do it."

"Strange…" Blake muttered.

"Are you two going to order yet or are you just going to keep yammering?" the Faunus owner asked.

"Sorry," Ruby called out.

"I'll take a couple orders of Chutoro, Unagi, Salmon, Ebi, your special for the day, and some Uni as well," Blake answered.

"...you know, I'd hate to see you and a person who claims 'fish are friends, not food' in the same room…" Ruby remarked before she looked over the list to determine what she would eat.

"At least two of those will be for Yang. If I have a hunch about what the commander will make her do, she'll need something later… plus, a reward for not blowing the commander's head off…"

Yang collapsed from her run, exhausted from the 1,200 laps, 700 push-ups, 350 pull-ups, and nearly 10,000 jumping jacks.

"You're not done, Xiao Long," Commander Yaiba stated.

"...I have a break…" Yang growled.

"You're not authorized to have your break yet. Get back to work."

"...do your order take full priority over my right for a break? Or do you just enjoy seeing other people suffer?" Yang managed to utter.

"You still have 200 more laps to do. Slack off for even a minute, and you'll see how mean I can be to your girlfriend."

This got Yang's eyes to turn red before she shot back up and pinned the commander against a wall, "You're lucky I don't kill you myself. You and the government may sign my paycheck, but I know when you're abusing your staff. And that is stepping over the line. ...I'll do a thousand laps this time. But you lay off on Blake, or you can forget your prejudice against Faunus and worry about what I'll do to you."

"Have I ever shown any signs of prejudice against Faunus? Where's your proof there?"

"...you showed hesitation in hiring Blake, you won't promote Blake any further than she already is, and you even wanted to be the Rider instead of her. Why do you THINK that I put that belt on her?"

"...in order, one, that was because of her background, not her species. Two, I can't promote her any higher than another commander because I don't have that authority. And three, that was a joke. Learn to take one, Xiao Long…"

"...forget it. I'll do your damn laps… just make sure I can punch at least one thing before this torture is through," Yang growled, dropping Yaiba before running with determination, and reaching speeds that almost rivaled her sister.

Ruby, Blake, and Penny soon left the sushi place, the sushi-making HumaGear in tow.

"You'd think Faunus and HumaGears would get along more easily since they're both discriminated against, but no~..." Ruby exhaled.

"It's not so much discriminating against species as it is a generational view, Ruby," Blake stated, "Although I do kind of get that view… there is a fear that if machines get too good, it will leave organics too lazy and without much to strive for."

"I get it, but still…" Ruby sighed, "Well… we did try. Maybe we can try again later…"

Blake nodded her head a little before she saw some signs plastered along the walls of the main Hiden Intelligence building and paled upon seeing the symbol on it.

"Uh… Ruby?" Blake called out, then motioning towards the signs.

"...that's bad…" Ruby muttered.

Blake eventually got back to the A.I.M.S. base with one of the signs in tow. She then saw Yang had fallen onto the ground, sweating buckets, and a large machine of some sorts laying nearby in pieces.

"Yang…?" Blake called out.

"Blake… are you a hallucination brought on by heat or really there…?" Yang questioned.

"...I don't know. I'm not your reflection in this… mirror-age," Blake quipped as Yang stared.

After a moment, Yang broke out laughing, gripping her stomach as she got up and smiling at her girlfriend.

"...I've been spending too much time with you and Ruby…" Blake figured.

"So? Not my problem."

"...dare I ask what the commander did to you?" Blake inquired.

"Had me running around and doing exercises for… pretty much as long as I left the apartment…" Yang informed her as she walked over to a container of water and was set to dump it over herself, but quickly stopped to see what the label said. She then put it down on the ground, "Nice try, Commander. I thought I smelled sewage somewhere."

"Dangit…" Commander Yaiba muttered.

"Commander. Be honest. What is your problem with me?" Yang asked.

"Do you want me to go chronologically or alphabetically about my reasons?"

"...nevermind. I'm going to go take a shower… away from here since I have a feeling you messed up the water," Yang stated, walking off.

"Wait! Yang?" Blake called out, "There's something important I have to tell you."

"I'll talk later," Yang shouted back.

Blake exhaled and turned towards the commander, "Well, I hope you're happy. Your little stunt has left us one Rider short when the White Fang are planning something big against the HumaGears."

"And you know this how?"

Blake then handed Commander Yaiba a piece of paper that was filled with text about how the White Fang were going to destroy HumaGears all over Remnant, ensuring that the HumaGear market would be crippled.

"...it's her own fault. Had she not done what she did, then there wouldn't be a problem," Commander Yaiba stated.

"With all due respect, Commander, if you would stop complaining over her problems, maybe she would be a little more willing to listen to you…" Blake explained.

The commander said nothing in response to Blake, silence filling the area between them. Blake eventually sighed and walked off to go find Yang.

"What do you think the White Fang wants with the HumaGears?" Weiss asked the board of Hiden Intelligence.

"Your guess is as good as ours," one employee admitted, "We don't abuse anybody and all the Faunus we do employee are treated equally. Korenosuke made sure of that."

"Unlike her company…" Fukuzoe muttered, giving a glance towards Weiss.

"...you crossed a line there," Ruby stated in a tone that was calm, yet had hidden fury underneath it, "Her company has changed over the years she's been in charge. And we're currently partners, so unless you want to lose the benefits you get from that partnership, I'd suggest you pipe down…"

Fukuzoe simply kept quiet and sat right back into his seat before the meeting continued.

"I'd advise that we beef up security," Ruby spoke up, "Humans, Faunus, HumaGears, the whole nine yards."

"What if a Faunus ends up being a double agent or a HumaGear gets hacked into?" one employee asked.

Ruby was about to say something, but then stopped herself to think it over a bit as those possibilities didn't occur to her. She gave a thoughtful look as she mulled it over before giving a nervous look towards Weiss that simply read 'help me'.

"We will personally select the Faunus and HumaGear in order to assure that there are no issues," Weiss explained.

"What she said," Ruby quickly added.

"Smooth, shachō. If we didn't know any better, we'd say that Schnee here was the president and not you," Fukuzoe remarked, "Heck, you went up to train to use a sword with her, she'd make a better Zero-One than you."

"Be quiet…" Penny warned, "We know you wanted to be the president instead, you're not hiding anything. If you wish to keep your skin long enough to see a possibility of becoming president, then I suggest you shut up and respect your authorities!"

Fukuzoe meekly hid underneath the table in response to this, Penny simply nodded as she regained her cheery smile.

"...are we sure that she hasn't been compromised?" another employee questioned in a fearful tone.

"I'm fine," Penny assured, "Ruby-shachō can account for my location all day. If anyone else were acting out of line, then I'm liable to lose my temper. Yang showed me it's a good way to keep people in line."

"...I don't know if you learning from Yang of all people is a good idea…" Weiss stated.

"So the White Fang want to smash HumaGears as well?" Yang remarked as she saw the threat image that the White Fang had made, "What won't they try to destroy?"

"I'll admit that I'm worried…" Blake stated with a slight gulp before she felt Yang put a hand on her shoulder, "...eh?"

"I'll be with you to keep you safe like you keep me safe. Remember our promise?" Yang asked.

"To protect each-other…"

"Ping-pong," Yang smiled, making Blake giggle a bit before Yang gave her a kiss to the cheek, "As long as we're together, we'll be safe."

Blake nodded a little in response to her girlfriend's remark, and she couldn't help but pull her into a hug.

Back over at the Hiden Intelligence base, the sushi-making HumaGear was waiting within a docking area as some people were discussing reassignment for him.

"Sorry things didn't work out, Tila," one Hiden Intelligence employee apologized, "We'll find something for you, don't worry."

"I understand, life is what it is," the HumaGear, Tila, said in a calm tone. Suddenly, there was a loud shattering sound, and he looked around, "Eh?"

"Found you~," Jin beamed as he quickly skipped over to Tila's side, "You're looking for a new job, huh? Don't worry, I got you."

"Intruder alert!" the employee shouted, only for Jin to aim a gun at his head, "You have ten minutes to get the hell out of the building or-"

"If you know what's good for you, human, then shut your mouth. If you don't, I'll make sure to turn you into a rotting corpse. Are we clear?" Jin threatened, earning a nod from the human, "Good."

Jin then slapped a corruption belt onto Tila, "Now we're friends…"

The corruption quickly took a hold of Tila as his headphones flashed red, "Connected to Metsuboujinrai-Dotto-Netto…"

"Good… now go get rid of the life of this planet," Jin beamed before turning towards the employee in the same room, "Why not start with him?"

"We got an intruder alert in the employee induction area," Penny told Ruby and Weiss.

The two former Huntresses gave a quick nod to each-other, grabbed their weapons, and made a run for the area. After about two minutes, the two arrived to see the area had been damaged, some people were hiding in fear, windows were shattered, and there was one human that was very clearly dead. Ruby put her weapon away, approached the human, and then looked over him. After a moment, Ruby proceeded to close his still open eyes and mumbled something.

"...Ruby?" Weiss eventually spoke.

"...yeah?" Ruby responded, "Don't worry. I'll make sure the police know this happened. It's going to be a long day, I can tell…"

With that, Ruby began to walk out of the area in order to figure out what happened. Weiss and Penny then quickly walked after her, the former confused as to what she did.

"What was it you whispered?"

"...something Soreo told me after the HumaGear version of my mom died…" Ruby explained before she pointed out towards the sky, "Second star to the right and straight on until morning…"

Ruby, Yang, Soreo, Korenosuke, and many others had gathered to the funeral service of those who had passed in the Daybreak Town Incident. However, the HumaGear Summer Rose had been buried in a special area, and was mourned on a different day from everyone else. Ruby had been crying her eyes out at what happened before Soreo approached her.

"Ruby-chan… I'm so sorry this happened…" he told her in a comforting tone, "But… she's in a better place…"

"...where…?" Ruby whimpered.

He then pointed out towards the night sky, making Ruby look up at a particular star that seemed to shine a brighter shine than most of the others.

"A place where one never passes on. Second star to the right… and straight on until morning…" he told her.

"I say that if somebody passes and I'm aware of it… I even said it when I thought that Penny had passed, and when I managed to go to Pyr… Pyr… uh… her... hometown and see where they held a memorial…" Ruby informed, rubbing away some stray tears, Weiss nodding as she placed a hand on her shoulder, "I'm okay. I'm okay. I promise."

"Alright," Weiss nodded, "I see why you wish to bid farewell to people. But let's try and make sure the police know about this attack and then see if we can find who did it."

"Right," Ruby nodded.

Blake and Yang roamed around Vale's capital city in order to see if they could locate any signs of the White Fang, although nothing much was visible until they saw people running away from something. Blake and Yang quickly exchanged a nod towards each-other, then charged towards where people were running from.

The duo then saw Tila was walking forward, flanked by the Magia grunts, standing with an air of destruction and fear around it.

"Magia…" Blake muttered.

Yang quickly opened fire with her ShotRiser, blasting the turned HumaGear at rapid fire, but the blasts didn't seem to harm Tila all that much.

"Kill all life on this planet..." Tila muttered as he took out a light blue Zetsumerise Key.

=NEOHI…=

He then loaded it into the belt.

"Metsuboujinrai-Dotto-Netto… not the group we were looking for, but I'll take it…" Yang muttered, then she proceeded to continue the onslaught of bullets.

Blake quickly joined in the attack, having taken out a gun with a blade lodged on the top while holding the sheath, to fire as much as she possibly could at the foe. However, the HumaGear activated the belt that was around it and easily endured the fire.

=ZETSUME RISE!=

The HumaGear roared as he gained the main Magia bodysuit, with a silver white armor akin to a cephalopod, almost looking squid-like, in addition to what looked to be yellow eyes, and many silver colored tentacles. Yang quickly dodged out of the way of one of the tentacles and scoffed.

"This is really awkward. No way am I going to get stuck with this guy in one of those scenarios from one of your naughty books, Blake," Yang stated as she got out the belt for her ShotRiser.

"...don't say something like that in public, you idiot…" Blake growled.

Yang paid what her girlfriend said no mind as she got out the Shooting Wolf Progrise Key.

=BULLET!=

Yang then began to try to force it open, struggling like before.

"Yang, that's not how that's supposed to open!" Blake yelled.

The blonde said nothing as she managed to force it open and load it into her ShotRiser.

=AUTHORISE!=

=KAMEN... RIDER!=

"TRANSFORM!" Yang yelled, firing the ShotRiser.

=SHOTRISE!=

The bullet deflected the tentacles away from Yang before she punched it out of the air, also firing the Ember Celica to knock the Magia back a bit, then she became encased in armor.

=SHOOTING WO~LF~!=

=The elevation increases as the bullet is fired.=

Vulcan quickly opened fire on the Magia, the Rider roaring as she tried to focus on shooting as much as possible. Blake then charged in, swinging the sword of her weapon at the Magia's back, managing to stun it a bit and provide an opening for Vulcan before the Magia gave an annoyed growl at the two. The kaijin then swung his blades at the two and managed to knock Vulcan back a bit, yet the attack seemed to swing clean through Blake. The two A.I.M.S. members continued to strike down on the Magia, yet it wasn't deterred as it continued to try and counter them.

Ruby and Penny were roaming around trying to find any signs of the attackers, but they came up with nothing. They continued for a while before they heard a battle nearby, with them both quickly rushing over to see Vulcan and Blake fighting the Magia.

"Looks like we found the trouble," Ruby remarked, quickly getting on her Driver.

=ZERO-ONE DRIVER!=

Blake rolled out of the way of the Magia's attack, but it managed to take a swing at her… only for it to just phase right through Blake. It gave a confused look before making an attempt to smack her again, only for it to just keep phasing through. The Magia was then shot right in the back by Blake, revealing the one the Magia was trying to hit to be a duplicate made by Blake's Semblance.

=JUMP!=

=AUTHORISE!=

Ruby quickly flipped open the Progrise Key and slotted it in.

=PROGRISE!=

"Henshin!" Ruby yelled, jumping over to where the battle was, quickly being surrounded by yellow energy.

=TO-BIA GA RISE! RISING HOPPER~!=

=A jump to the sky turns to a Rider Kick.=

Ruby turned into Zero-One, managing to land nearby before hopping up and slashing at the Magia. Vulcan simply watched this attack, taking a moment to put a bit of space between herself and Zero-One, as the yellow Rider landed on the ground. Penny stood at the area where Ruby had jumped down from and kept an eye on the battle.

"You're late," Vulcan stated in a bit of a blunt tone.

"Sorry, sorry," Zero-One apologized, barely dodging the attacks from the Magia.

Vulcan simply kept firing her ShotRiser at the monster, only for it to disarm her and shove her away.

"Alright… how about this?" Zero-One retorted, folding her weapon into its briefcase mode.

=CHARGE RISE!=

She then unfolded it quickly and then pressed a button on the inside.

=FULL CHARGE!=

=KABAN SLASH!=

Zero-One then fired off a crescent shaped energy slash that knocked the monster over and sliced off two of the tentacles… which then flopped over onto Zero-One and latched onto her.

"HEY! Whoa, bad touch! Don't make this worse than it needs to be! Gah! Can't get it off!" Zero-One yelled, trying to get the limbs off of her.

The Magia just stared for a moment, then quickly used some ink as a sort of smokescreen to get away. Vulcan just sighed for a bit and groaned before just smacking the air in annoyance.

"Get off of me!" Zero-One yelled, still stuck to the tentacle, still struggling to get the limbs off of her.

"I'll get them off," Blake sighed, walking over and slicing them off of Zero-One with her blade.

"That was filth. FILTH!" Zero-One yelled, clearly freaked out by what just happened.

Blake could only roll her eyes a little bit in response, as they looked to see the Magia was indeed long gone. She just gave off a small sigh as both Riders reverted back to normal.

"That… was gross…" Ruby stated.

"Still can't believe that happened to you…" Yang exhaled.

Back at the office, Ruby exhaled as she finished filing the incident report about the attack and handed it off to the police.

"So, not only is there a dead employee on your hands, and you failed to make a contract, but you failed to catch the terrorists," Fukuzoe remarked with a noticeable smile.

"Why are you smiling?!" Ruby snapped in response.

"Reviewing our P&L, it has impacted our company," the HumaGear assistant to Fukuzoe chimed in.

Ruby gave an annoyed exhale in response to this before she put her hands at the back of her head in thought, "This isn't helping things with that squid…"

Meanwhile, Penny stood in the datascape of Zea with the information presented by the battle with the Magia.

"We're going to need to find a good counter to this. Uploading the battle data for analysis," she stated as the information was sent up and analyzed by the satellite.

Back down on Remnant, a machine quickly got to work with a 3D printing of a new Progrise Key, this one being a teal blue in color with an image of a shark on it. Once finished, Penny picked it up, examining the Key closely before turning to see Ruby approach, clearly stressed from everything that just happened.

"Ruby-shachō. We have a new Progrise Key that should help us in dealing with the Magia," Penny informed, presenting the item to Ruby.

"Thanks," Ruby responded, accepting the key. She then sighed a bit as she was still feeling awkward from what happened with the monster, "W-Well… any luck with tracking that thing down?"

"We are searching for that monster… though, Yang told me that if we do find it, she wants first crack at it," Penny informed, "I… don't know why, but she told me that.

"Well, that certainly sounds like Yang to me," Ruby sighed, taking a seat.

Evening soon rolled around, with Blake and Yang still searching for the Magia without success.

"Dammit. This whole thing is seriously starting to get on my nerves!" Yang nearly yelled.

"The Magia, the White Fang, what happened to Ruby, or some combination thereof?" Blake asked.

"Last one."

"I see… well, hopefully, we can find that Magia before Ruby does…" Blake commented.

"Yea… but it's still going to be tough to beat… we're going to need something sharp to cut it down to size…" Yang stated.

Blake simply thought over what Yang said for a moment and then just exhaled.

"That was not intended as a pun. I promise. I know that may sound bad but I legitimately didn't mean that one…"

All Blake did was roll her eyes in response, Yang sighing over how much of a dead end they were currently at.

"I think it would help if we knew where that thing was likely to attack…" Yang spoke aloud without a thought, "If we could at least guess where it is going to be, we could at least set up… a plan of some kind…"

"If we had an idea… of where it would attack…" Blake muttered before she snapped her fingers, "I have a hunch."

"Where?" Yang checked.

"Follow me."

"Oh… weh…" Ruby exhaled.

Weiss and Penny then both snickered a little bit at that.

"What?"

"I'm sorry… 'weh'?" Weiss asked.

"Oh, I was just tired…" Ruby admitted.

"That was a funny way to display that…" Weiss smiled.

Ruby couldn't help but giggle a little bit in response. Her phone then began to buzz a little and she quickly picked it up, "Moshi-moshi?"

"Where did that monster first appear?" Blake asked.

"Uh… inside the Hiden building and I saw it was Tila. Why?"

"My hunch is right on then. Meet up with me and Yang at the sushi place. If my hunch is accurate, he'll be going there."

Ruby nodded before motioning for Weiss and Penny to follow her.

Blake and Yang both ran over from the east, while Ruby, Weiss, and Penny arrived from the west. Both groups kept their eyes open for anything out of the ordinary, before they started to hear screaming.

"You were right," Yang whispered.

The Magia, flanked by several grunts, began to approach the sushi place. Blake quickly ran forward and began to shoot at them with her ShotRiser, making it stumble back a bit as she kept up the fire, Weiss taking notice of the changer in Blake's hand.

"Blake…?" Weiss muttered.

"I'm not going to let anybody else be hurt… human… Faunus… HumaGear…" Blake started, putting on the same silver belt that Yang had, "I am going to protect them!"

Thus, she docked in the ShotRiser.

=SHOTRISER!=

Blake then took out an orange Progrise Key, seemed to spin it around a bit, then pressed the button to make it ready.

=DASH!=

Blake loaded the unopened Key into her ShotRiser, making it flash to life.

=AUTHORISE!=

=KAMEN… RIDER!=

Blake took a calming breath as she moved her hand to the trigger and centered her thoughts…

An infant Blake was carried out of a burning building by a mostly red colored Rider. Once she was safely away, she waved towards the Rider. The Rider responded simply by giving her a thumbs up.

"Transform!"

=SHOTRISE!=

The energy formed discs around Blake before she started to run, the discs attaching to her body, forming a white suit on her body with yellow eyes, but her right leg, right side of the torso, and her helmet around her face were orange with cheetah designs.

=RUSHING CHE~ETAH!=

=Try to outrun this demon? You'll get left in the dust.=

"Kamen Rider Valkyrie…" the new Rider declared, "Now eliminating targets!"

Valkyrie then charged forward and began to attack the incoming swarms of machines. She mostly punched and kicked at them, but also ended up using a high amount of agility to make the attacks from the grunts hit each-other instead of her.

"You got this, hun!" Yang shouted out.

"You knew?" Weiss quickly questioned.

"I kinda made her be the other Rider for our group…" Yang admitted.

"That's… news to me…" Weiss admitted.

As the remaining four watched Valkyrie fight, Yang soon noticed something was going on. The Magia began to approach the group, but Yang quickly opened fire on it with the Ember Celicas. The squid countered with its tentacles before Yang rushed in and punched it away from Ruby, Weiss, and Penny.

"No you don't…" Yang growled, her eyes slowly turning red, and then she quickly pulled out the Shotriser.

=SHOTRISER!=

Yang then got out her Progrise Key and began to force it open, which Valkyrie quickly noticed as she turned around.

"Yang, that's not how you-"

=BULLET!=

=AUTHORISE!=

"Transform!"

=SHOTRISE!=

=SHOOTING WO~LF~!=

=The elevation increases as the bullet is fired.=

Kamen Rider Vulcan let off a small growl before she ran right into the Magia and punched it back a fair distance.

"I can handle this on my own. You got those grunts?" Vulcan quickly questioned.

"Child's play," Valkyrie assured.

Vulcan then continued to punch at the Magia, before Ruby quickly got out her own Driver and readied herself for battle.

=ZERO-ONE DRIVER!=

"Don't forget the new Key!" Penny quickly yelled.

"Got it," Ruby nodded, quickly showing she had it slotted on her side. Ruby then proceeded to ready the Rising Hopper Key and smiled.

=JUMP!=

=AUTHORISE!=

The yellow beam quickly came shooting down towards her and caused the grasshopper mecha to spawn in nearby.

"And let me tell you two something. Instead of what you're saying, you gotta say this," Ruby told both of her fellow Riders, "Henshin!"

=PROGRISE!=

=TO-BIA GA RISE! RISING HOPPER~!=

=A jump to the sky turns to a Rider Kick.=

Zero-One then rushed in in an attempt to aid Vulcan, but the Magia simply dodged out of the way and caused Zero-One to go tumbling into Vulcan.

"Okay… sorry…" Zero-One quickly apologized.

"Don't worry, just go and start hitting things," Vulcan told her.

"Gotcha," Zero-One nodded.

(Insert Song: From Shadows)

Valkyrie dashed towards the grunts with blinding speeds, bashing them with her shoulders with her speed. The grunts attempted to shoot at her, but she was effortlessly able to dodge out of the way. She followed it up by pushing a crate to keep the blasts away from her, then returned fire towards them.

"You can't stop me," she boldly declared.

The grunts charged towards her, but by the time they had managed to reach her, she effortlessly got out of the way. This was followed up with several blasts from the Shotriser and a few melee attacks.

"Penny," Valkyrie shouted out.

"Yeah?"

"You have Ruby's weapon with you, right?"

Penny then took out the Attache Calibur, realized what she was getting at, and tossed it towards her. Valkyrie caught it, unfolded it, and got out a slightly darker orange Progrise Key that depicted a stag beetle.

=SCISSORS!=

The grunts charged towards her, but she was able to get out of the way with ease and load in the Progrise Key.

=Progrise Key confirmed. Ready to utilize.=

=Stag Beetle's Ability!=

The top of the Attache Calibur began to charge with orange energy as Valkyrie slowly eased herself into a motion that would let her move quickly. The grunts then rushed in to try and attack before the Rider just smirked under her helmet.

The Rider then charged forward, with energy constructs of beetle horns forming at the top of the sword. She then skidded to a stop in front of several of the grunts, swung the sword down, and let the construct horns clamp down.

The grunts let out a painful growl before she pulled back and took another swing right at them.

グ カバンストラッシ

=EXCITING KABAN STRASH!=

Some of the grunts then just blew up into smoking remains. However, a few of the grunts were still there.

"They just don't know when to quit…" Valkyrie remarked, handing the sword back over to Penny. The Rider then pulled out her ShotRiser and readied another finisher by pressing down on the Progrise Key's button.

=DASH!=

She then kneeled down, ready to sprint forward.

=RUSHING BLAST!=

Valkyrie then ran around the field of grunts, firing at the center of them to make a large energy orb grow and spark out to the grunts.

She then came to a halt with her hand on the ground as the energy erupted with the grunts.

グ ブラースト

=RUSHING BLAST!=

"And that's… how it's done," Valkyrie declared. She then quickly headed off.

(End Insert Song)

Vulcan continued to shoot at the Magia, while Zero-One simply evaded its attacks. The battle took the three to a nearby river, which they all ended up standing in after a bit.

"I'm not getting stuck in that filth again! Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!" Zero-One declared, jumping out of the way.

"You better have a trick up your sleeve…" Vulcan responded, keeping the fire up.

Zero-One then nodded her head and got out the brand new Progrise Key, "This."

=FANG!=

=AUTHORISE!=

The Magia sent an ink blast right towards Zero-One, only for it to get intercepted by a construct of a shark. Zero-One then watched it dive into the water and swim around, "Let's do this, same-chan!"

Zero-One then loaded in the new Progrise Key.

=PROGRISE!=

=KIRIKIRIBAI! KIRIKIRIBAI! BITI~NG SHA~RK!=

=Fangs that can chomp through concrete.=

As the shark construct flipped, Zero-One's armor folded back from her chest and helmet, the faceplate flipping around as chains attached to the shark and formed new cerulean armor with some magenta accents, though her eyes remained silver.

"It's time to take a bite out of this problem!" Zero-One joked.

"...does not compute…" the Magia stated in a blunt tone.

"Oi. Not the time for that!" Vulcan commented.

The Magia then used the chance to fling its limbs towards the duo, but Zero-One used the fins on her gauntlets to slice clean through them. The Magia kept this up until there were none left for it to fire.

"Whoa, that was not bad…" Vulcan smiled.

"I guess you can be say… you gotta be squiddin' me!" Zero-One joked, earning a snicker from Vulcan.

"KILL!" the Magia yelled in anger, but it was then kicked away by Vulcan.

"Omae o tome rareru no wa tada hitori... atashi da!" Zero-One declared, then pressing in on the Progrise Key.

=BITING IMPACT!=

After some more slashing, Zero-One kicked the Magia into the air as more energy fin blades formed near her arms. Then, she jumped up and slashed the monster a few more times with the energy fins.

Zero-One slashed the kaijin before landing safely, the squid flailing as it started to spark and then blew up.

グ インパクト

=BITING IMPACT!=

Zero-One jumped up out of joy in her victory, only for some water to splash onto Vulcan. She then turned towards her, "Gomen."

"It's fine, I guess," Vulcan sighed as she brushed a bit of water off of herself, only to then splash some towards Zero-One, "Now we're even."

"Hey-hey!" Zero-One giggled before returning fire.

Valkyrie saw the two half-sisters playing around before removing her Progrise Key from the ShotRiser and approached the two of them. Suddenly, there was a sound of a sword being carried along the ground. Everybody turned to see a figure that none of them wanted to see again, being a man with a black outfit and wearing a mask over his face, only revealing his hair.

"Adam…" Zero-One muttered.

"So, you Kamen Riders know who I am…" Adam muttered as he simply walked towards them, but stopped a fair distance away from the three, "And yet, I know nothing of you."

"...Zero-One. Sore ga atashi no nada! (That's who I am!)" she declared.

Adam didn't seem to fully understand her, giving a bit of a quirk of his head, but nonetheless looked towards Blake, who seemed to step away from him, "Your days are numbered, Kamen Riders. You and that traitorous scum."

Vulcan then opened fire on Adam, who swatted the blasts away with his blade. The Faunus just scoffed in response to this feeble attack by Vulcan. He then quickly threw a smoke bomb down and, when it cleared, Adam was gone.

"...you ok, Blake?" Vulcan asked, proceeding to revert back into Yang.

"Been better," she sighed as she gently held onto one of Yang's hands, "...sorry."

"Hey. Don't worry about it. I know you're scared… it'll be ok…" Yang assured her.

Zero-One then turned back into Ruby and walked off to give the couple a bit of space.

"Adam, what exactly are you intending to… do?" one of the Faunus generals under him asked.

"I have a cunning plan," he stated.

"...which is… what?"

"It's so cunning that, to say it, would ruin it."

"...you have no idea what you're intending to do, do you?" the general inquired, only to get a sword near his neck, "Shutting up."

"You know what's good for you, Larry. And before you protest, your name is now Larry. So shut up."

With that, Adam walked off without another word. The general now known as Larry just sighed sadly.

"Well… that was quite a day…" Ruby sighed as she and the others went back to the sushi place.

"Hey, Hiden girl," the Faunus owner called out.

"Yeah?"

"...I've thought about it a bit more… and I want to give the HumaGear thing a chance. So… let me know when you can bring him back around," he informed.

"...why the change of heart?" Ruby couldn't help but ask.

"I thought about what you and your friend said a bit more…" he admitted, "So, I'd like to take the contract."

"Great. Um… something happened to the HumaGear we made, but the contract says we have 24 hours to get you a replacement as soon as we possibly can. Are you willing to at least wait a day?"

"Sure."

Ruby smiled, quickly high-fiving with Weiss and Penny, the trio looking a bit happy, "I'm all tens and cools with that!"

The owner simply titled his head, while Yang tried her best to stifle her laughter.

"It's a joke, sir. It's a play on how 'ten' and 'cool' are like the word 'tentacle', as in what goes into squid sushi," Penny explained.

"Don't explain the joke!" Ruby responded.

Blake couldn't help but start laughing at the two of them a bit before the whole group joined in, eventually ordering some food.

Meanwhile, Commander Yaiba was in a dimly lit room with another person, who was simply playing chess.

"So, you've managed to gain two Kamen Riders compared to Hiden's one. It's a step in the right direction," the man stated, moving a pawn on the chess board, "And we have confirmed that Magia are roaming around."

"Indeed, sir. We are currently making sure that they are stopped."

"Good…" the man stated, simply moving another pawn, "This plan… will go correctly. It is 1000% certain…"

PROGRISE KEY RECAP CORNER

"Salutations, readers! It's time to recap more Progrise Keys!" Penny happily declared.

"And we have a note with a message from the writers that says both 'sorry for the delay' and 'we are not subjecting Penny to what happened to Izu or what may happen to her in Volume 8'. ...I don't know what either of those mean, but they wanted us to relay that to you," Ruby informed.

"I see… I do not wish to know about that, so let us proceed with the show! First off, we have Ruby's new Progrise Key, Biting Shark with the ability of 'Fang'. It's meant for slicey action and is capable of going underwater. Very good combat Key, and good utility purposes. Plus, a shark's bite has been calculated to be approximately 18,000 newtons of force, equaling approximately 4,050 lbs of force," Penny explained.

"Dilly-dally-shilly-shally," Blake commented as she walked on in.

Ruby couldn't help but snicker at what Blake said.

"What are you referencing?" Penny asked.

"Some movie Yang and I watched recently. Advent Fantasy or something," Blake shrugged.

"Next up, we have the two Progrise Keys used by our third Rider in her debut as a Rider! First off, Rushing Cheetah with the ability 'Dash'! It's based off the cheetah, being capable of reaching top speeds of about 60 miles an hour."

"And, finally, Exciting Stag with the ability 'Scissors'. It's based off of the stag beetle, which the mandibles are primarily from the males and only used for competition between rivals over mates and territory."

"Where did you even get that, Blake?" Ruby asked.

"I don't know since the authors haven't explained it yet. So, for now, let's say there's a simple explanation for that."

Ruby just sighed in response to that.

"Well, that's all the time for today. Join us back here next time!" Penny cheerily smiled.

Pikatwig: Given how every movie/special related story I've announced has been delayed, I'm done announcing release windows. It'll be done when it's done.

KKD: Yea, let's just keep it that way. I've kinda figured I'd never get something released in terms of stories if I promise a date myself.

Pikatwig: Yeah. Anyway, yeah. The two stories that were originally meant for a Super Hero Time partnership are crossing over. I'm honestly a little surprised there were no Digimon Gashats back in Ex-Aid since that is an IP that Toei owns and Bandai makes toys for. Seemed like it would've been a logical jump.

KKD: You would think, but I think it's a little harder to do that sort of thing with how Digimon isn't as popular as Pac-Man and the like.

Pikatwig: Eh. Also, as of us writing this, Muk is unaware we're intending to do this. So… can't wait to see what his reaction will be in the review.

KKD: Well, here's hoping it's good at least.

Pikatwig: Now then, I apologize for the wait. We just got busy with other things. You'd think that with us being stuck inside all the time, we'd have more time. No, not really. But, whatever. Blake is the third Rider and I'm surprised nobody guessed it. I thought that, of all three, Blake being the Rider with an animal in a similar genus to a cat would be an obvious guess. Then again, the things I tend to think are obvious aren't always.

KKD: Well we did make Ruby the grasshopper Rider and Yang the wolf Rider, so with how we mixed things up, I guess they thought we'd get the original or even Weiss to be the cheetah Rider for some reason. I dunno.

Pikatwig: Then again, one review said that Weiss could fit into Thouser's position with the combat style and weapon. Just mentioning that. Anyway, this was fun, even if it took a while. And, I'll openly admit, I have no real idea what we're going to actually be doing with Adam in the long run. We'll figure out something, but for now… no real clue.

KKD: I'm sure we'll figure it out as we go along.

Pikatwig: Also, the "general Larry" thing was meant as a reference to something Sean did in his streams. Basically, a character who constantly messes up and makes mistakes, is dubbed "Larry". The ultimate Larry in all of video games is King Knight from Shovel Knight. ...long story.

KKD: I see…

Pikatwig: Anyway, my favorite part was the twist with Blake using a different Progrise Key for a finisher. I thought that was fun.

KKD: Yea, it was pretty fun, honestly.

Pikatwig: Have a happy holidays, guys. Also, it'll be the first anniversary of Iris Rose's debut in a story. Yay!

KKD: Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Holidays to all of you reading, so keep it cool, and stay tuned for more of what we got in store. *salutes* Jaa ne.

Pikatwig: Just Live More.
