Chapter XX

She smiled as she made her choice, her future settling down as she made one of, if not arguably the most, important decision of her life.

Ryend supervised the warriors with a skilled eye, ready to chastise them if they made any sudden movements that could potentially further injure the female Ooman, she had seen what this female had done and she acknowledged it.

She sighed as she followed the Hunters to the Infirmary, where her friend and hunting companion waited to receive the injured warrior, for that was what the Ooman was she would forever be classed as a warrior here amongst the Yautja, whether she choose to take the mark or not.

Ryend looked at the two Young Bloods, they had followed her even if they were meant to stay behind and report to the Elders, but this was an allowable deviation, as the Hunt was not finished until all parties had taken the mark, or decided not to due to their own reasons.

She could tell that both Scar and Range were ready to attack the four Hunters that were holding the stretcher that bore the female, she wondered if Scar even knew that he was interested in the female, and did Range know that he would have a hard time making sure that suitors stayed as far away from the female as he could possibly assure.

Scar kept an eye on the four Hunters that were carrying the female to the Infirmary, he as ready to make sure that the injuries she had were the only ones that she had and that the ones that she had already were not made worse by their careless actions.

He knew that his father and mother wanted to talk to him, but they could wait, the Hunt has yet to end and until then he would stay by the female's side and guard her whilst she could not fight.

Range just followed Scar when he left to follow the four Hunters, Ryend and the female, he would help his Chiva mei'hswei in his self-imposed mission of guarding the female that had saved both of their lives and helped the become Blooded earlier than they would have been without her interference.

He glanced back at the Elders that had come to greet them, he was surprised to see that none of them were angry at the fact that he and Scar had ignored them, but then again she had become their Chiva Mei-jadhi when she had begun to fight back against the Kiande Amedha, she had then proceeded to surprise them further when she took on Taro and won.

Range frowned, the Elders would not know that the Ooman had been the one to take down Taro, which was a disservice to the female, she had contributed so much to the Chiva, he steeled himself and went searching through all of the visual files that he had taken on this Chiva, once he found it he sent it to all of the Elders, making sure that no one would be able to say that he hadn't sent it to them as he saved the record of him sending them the file.

He sighed as he followed the Ooman, he didn't know if she would survive, her wounds were severe, and he was unsure whether she would survive due to the fact that they had gone without healing for a while and the amount of blood she had lost.

He hoped that she survived, it would be a shame that such a promising warrior should die because two young bloods couldn't even aid her in her time of need.

Adrinle looked out of the window at the other clanship, he had given orders for them to approach the other ship, he would be heading over with his best Healer to ascertain the condition that his daughter was in, he would also make it clear that she belong to his clan not theirs, even if she had gone through their Blooding Chiva.

He turned around and gazed at some of the Hunters that had volunteered to come with him, each of them was already mated and had pups, so they knew just how worried he was over his daughter's condition.

He moved over to where his armour was and started to put it on, he added the regalia of Clan Chief, just to make sure that the other clan knew who they were dealing with and whose daughter had stepped in to participate in a Chiva that was not her own. He was determined to get his daughter back in good health and then approach her mother for an explanation, but first his daughter.

#Sir, we are commencing inter-ship docking procedures, the other clan gave us permission to dock and come aboard when we are prepared.# Minderin said as he appeared in the doorway.

Minderin was to stay behind, after all someone had to make sure that everything ran smoothly whilst Adrinle was away, even if it was not a long visit to another Clanship, a lot could happen in the space of a few minutes.

#Excellent.# Adrinle said with delight clear in his voice. #We leave in a short while. Is the other clan aware of why we are coming?#

#No, sir, they are not, just as you instructed.# Minderin said in reply, gaining a nod from his superior.

#I have a feeling that my daughter is aware that I am close.# Adrinle mused as he started moving to the docking port.

It took them few minutes to get to the docking point, he sighed when he arrived, and tried to push the worry for his daughter out of his mind, but he wasn't very successful; the men that were coming with him shifted in readiness, as they waited for the go ahead to board the other Clanship.

#You will have your daughter back, sir, of that I can promise.# One of the ones that were to accompany him said. #Even if I have to go in there myself to retrieve her from them.#

Adrinle looked at the male, Dark Blade, and nodded, he knew the lengths these males would go too, to make sure a family was reunited or even to stay together.

#Thank you for your words, Dark Blade, they have put my mind at ease.# Adrinle returned. #I can only hope that the other Clan will hand my daughter over to me without a fight.#

And to be honest that was all he could hope for, even if he loved a good fight, he didn't know how his daughter would react to him beginning a war against the clan of those that she had helped over her.

Brown eyes opened slowly to a dark room, they looked around trying to tell where she was, due to the design and the decorations she could tell that she wasn't on Earth anymore, which made the owner of the eyes tense up, but the eyes noted that they were alone which was a relief.

Lex tried to get up, as she tries, she noticed that she had been stripped of her leather suit and wore bikini like clothing, but she couldn't focus on that for now as she had to close her eyes suddenly as a vision assaulted her.

Colours splashed across her vision they swirled, flowed and ebbed, creating a confusing kaleidoscope.

She saw four Hunters carrying her onto and through their Clanship until they reached the infirmary, where they carefully set her down, two female Yautja enter as they are finishing setting her on the bed, these females then removed her suit from her carefully and began to cover up the parts that denoted her as female with their type of clothing, after that the two Young Bloods that she had helped came in and stood sentry watching her being treated.

The vision fast forwarded past the end of the treatment, the two Young Bloods only leaving when they were order to leave as they were needed elsewhere; then she saw another Clanship approaching the one she was on, getting ready to dock. She then saw her father getting ready to board with a team of Hunters.

She watched as her father boarded the Clanship that she was on and went through the pleasantries, well what counted as pleasantries for the Yautja race, but after a while he got fed up and demanded that they hand her over, at first Scars Clan was confused and stated so, but her father cleared it up by stating her full name, and then revealed the fact that she was his daughter.

As she came out of the vision she shook her head in exasperation as she carefully stood up she looked around the room again and spotted her box, she went over to it and retrieved her cylinder weapon, transforming it into a metal staff, admittedly it was one function she hardly used but it was useful for training.

Now that she had her staff she could use it to help her get to where the congregation of the Elders of Scars Clan and her father were, she walked out the door slowly not wanting to aggravate her wounds, she used her visions to show her which way to go, as she made her way slowly towards the congregation she noticed that a lot of the Hunters of Scars clan were staring at her with respect and curiosity.

She made it to the room in half an hour, she consulted her vision to see what was the best course of action to stop the squabbling Yautja. She sighed when she saw that it was not going to do her wounds any favours.

She entered the room without anyone noticing and got to the invisible dividing line that separated the two groups, the thing she absently noted was there was a table between them, that were yelling at each other in their own language, she understood ever word, thanks to her learning it from her visions.

Once she reached the center point, she looked at each side before she lifted her metal staff at and swung it down at an optimal angel, to hit the table just right to create the loudest noise she possibly could in her injured state.

The Yautja all cringed away from the pinot of origin of the noise, before turning their attention towards the source, and were surprised to see her standing there arm resting on the site of her wound and leaning on the table, they notice that her eyes were screwed shut.

"I left the infirmary to stop you all arguing like little children, when I really should't have." Lex said through gritted teeth. "Now are you all going to take a deep breath and discuss this calmly or do I have to injure myself further in order to get you all to behave like the Adults you are."

When she finally got her pain under control, she looked up with fiery brown eyes fixing on each Yautja in the room, letting it known that she would do what she had said.

#You should not be on your feet!# Ryend, Ranges mother Lex noted due to a vision, exclaimed as she moved to Lex's side and guided her to a chair.

Lex sighed in relief as she sat down and leaned back in the chair, and looked at other Yautja that fussed over her wound.

#She's right, were acting like pups with a new toy they have been told to share.# her father said as he sat down on the chair that was provided.

#Are we not going to make the effort of talking in the Ooman language that she understands?# One of her father's men asked.

#No she understands our language.# Range said stepping forward.

"He's right I can understand and write your language but I can't speak it, no one to help me with pronunciation." Lex said before another argument broke out.

#Now that that's settled, we can discuss this in an adult manner.# Na'tauk said as he too sat down. All of the other Yautja followed his example and took the chairs that they had been given.
