Chapter 22 Back

"Will you quit it with the shuffling already? You are making me dizzy!"

I rolled my eyes, I honestly can't help myself, this sounded so perfect back on the island, and if you put it down on paper it would sound great, except it isn't! Who in their right minds wants to go back to school? I certainly didn't!

It all started when we got back from the island, after riding those cabs in those awfully painful and annoying tight tuxedos, we all rushed to the air conditioned VIP lounges, we had all quickly settled down on soft sofas and grabbed some bottled water, before we realized that we had left Dad behind with all the luggage. So we had to sheepishly walk back, and pick up our suitcases before dropping them at the counter; with him sending us the fearsome "Wait until I get my revenge later boys" look which made us all cringe back in fear.

The flight was a normal, if not boring affair, my head was lolling around in the first class seat, not having to worry about meddlesome crying babies, old people falling sleep on my shoulder, and having to ask any cranky men permission to move so I could go to the bathroom.

The trouble began when we took the rental car back home, with me and Seth getting the front seats, Seth was happily off to dreamland five minutes after we left the airport, I discreetly took out a book and began to read. Meanwhile my brothers were getting fidgety in the back, with their electronics having barely any battery left, good old fashioned car "wrestling" was on, but at least they attempted to keep it to a minimum, let it not disrupt dad. Unfortunately, they were not careful enough, and Dad caught them in the rearview mirror, Emmett slapping Edward on the back of the head, as Jasper jammed his elbow in Emmett´s stomach.

"BOYS! No wrestling in the car please, you know what happened last time!" Reprimanded Dad.

"Yes Sir!" Came out three low grumbles from the back.

As usually happens, well that did not deter them, what did happen was Emmett kicking Jacob, which in turn made him kick Seth`s seat, which made him splutter the water he was drinking over my NEW Book!.

"What the HE*L! Emmett!" I shouted, looking at my doofus of an eldest brother. If there is one thing I hate is someone damaging my things, but especially my books. No one touches those, except ME!

"Language Sant!" Scolded Dad

"Calm Down bro! No Biggie! It's just a dumb boring book!"

I felt my blood run even colder than usual at that response.

"What did you just say?" I enquired; I really hope he is not stupid enough to…

"Just a Boring..."

"Emmett" Edward said, trying to make the save.

"Stupid Book!" Emmett finished flashing me a dumb grin.

That's it! I ripped my seatbelt open and furiously attempted to climb over the seat to the back of the car, unfortunately Seth attempted to hold me down with his wolf strength, but I was so mad I broke free of his hold with ease. However Emmett had rolled away and I stumbled falling on the floor.

"OW!"I exclaimed, more out of shock that anything else.

"You Little... "

"Santiago Cullen, you better not finish that sentence young man!"

"But Daaaad! He Ruined my Book!" I whined and tattled, in my best little boy voice.

"I know, but you shouldn't jump at your brother that way over something like that, you need to ease up a little"

"But..."

"But nothing young man, now zip it and don't argue unless you want me to punish you even further?"

"What! It is not fair! What are you even gonna punish me with?"

"Easy, you are banned from the family Library for 3 days"

"DAAAAD! Come on!" My brothers were laughing at my outrage, ticking me off even further.

"Shush it bro, I´ll even stop teasing Rosie for a punishment like that one," said Jacob

"That's an idea" Muttered Edward

"Wanna make it a week Snakeling?"

"No Daddy"

"Then get back in your seat, and apologize to your brother"

I rolled myself back in the front seat.

"Sorry Em"

"That's alright; I like to see you showing the Cullen Boys characteristic spunk"

"Did Emmett just say something serious?" Asked Jacob.

"Yeah, don't get used to it, Now Beware Baby Brother, you don't tattle, it's in the BroCode."

Now I saw Dad rolling his eyes. The situation defused, we all arrived back home, thanks heavens the girls were out shopping allowing us all to sneak the bags in unopened, I quietly snuck back into my room, my mom bless her soul had prepared everything for me, what I did not remember was ever hearing that Redbrook had a uniform, a horrendous uniform at that.

"Seth, get in here!"

"What?"

"Don't what me, what in the name of the Empusai this is?"

"I thought it was fairly obvious, it is the school uniform."

"Whaaaaat! Dad actually expects us to wear that? Wait Alice actually lets us out of the house in that drab? This looks like what Dad would have worn to school in the middle ages"

"Hey! Watch it Hatchling I am not that old"

"Dad this is a joke right?"

"No it isn´t, now hurry up and try it on to see if your Mom needs to make any adjustments"

I grumbled and complained as I walked into my bathroom, carrying the nasty thing as far away from me as possible.

"You better not wrinkle that son!"

I walked out of the bathroom into my Bedroom to find my mother waiting for me, sitting patiently on my bed. Her legs were crossed over and her lips were pursed.

"You Look very cute Son" She said, smiling at me.

"MOOOOOM!" I whined, embarrassed.

"It fits you to a T" She Said.

"It's uncomfortable! It's too tight! And it feels weird!" I whined.

"Now, Now Son! It's absolutely fine, don't worry"

"I look like a dork" I complained.

She Laughed. "That's what you boys always say the first day, I think you guys all look like little gentleman"

"MOOOOOM!" I whined again, it felt nice having a mom to embarrass me as weird as it sounds, I went to hug her.

"I can come back home right?"

"Sure you can sweetie, you have the option each day to come back if you want, or stay with Seth and Jake in the Dorms"

"But what if they don't want me there? They surely have their own friends to contend with"

"Oh silly boy, they are your brothers, they will take care of you no matter what"

"I just don't want to be even more of a bother... I already bother you and Dad so much even though you have already done so much..."

I immediately heard trampling and suddenly I had my Dad Walking into my room.

"Santiago James Cullen! How many times do we need to tell you that NOT a bother?" You Are my...

"Ehem"

"...Sorry dear, our son and we love you, now you better rest a bit, I´ll see you tomorrow in order to leave for school"

The Next Morning

"Seth, Sant, Jake, grab your packs, were leaving!" My Dad Voice sent me away from my recalling and shuffling, I almost tripped, which my brothers found hilarious, and I gave a very dignified response, i stuck out my tongue at them, then I picked my backpack, vampire flashed to give my mom a Goodbye Hug and rushed down to ride shotgun, all said and done; well Redbrooks High, Here I come!
