HEY EVERYONE UNCLE SAM AGAIN! Today, I am bringing you the next chapter of my story with dax0042. I really hope you enjoy it, because some serious stuff is about to go down!

As Samuel watched his mate drift off to sleep, he couldn't help but feel he should inform Kate about what Humphrey had just told him, as he knew his friend had a reputation of telling one party about a new development and forgetting to tell the other. Rising quietly to his feet, Samuel placed a tender kiss on Terra's head before leaving the den, unaware the dark forces currently in motion.

Once Cain returned to his group, his visage of Samuel having dissipated to his natural form, He turned to the two teenage wolves in his custody. Upon taking in their small trembling forms, Cain smiled wickedly as he watched Anna attempting to sooth Runt's pain as tears fell from his eyes, the agony of his broken hind legs causing him great discomfort.

"Oh," he cooed mockingly, "isn't this precious." Upon hearing this, the other evil wolves in attendance began to laugh, which did little to quell Anna's anger.

"You won't get away with this," she seethed, tears of rage streaming from her eyes. Cain merely looked looked at the young female, her lithe, but athletic build being very appetizing to him.

"Oh," he began as he hungrily licked his lips, causing Anna's eyes to go wide in fear, "I think I will. And when I have killed your father and grandfather, along with Rex and those filthy omegas, I will make you, your mother, and Eve my personal sluts, and all other females will be made to breed a new army under my control."

"You are sick," Runt growled out, despite the pain. Cain merely took a mock expression of sheepishness.

"Why yes I am, Thank you for noticing." With that said, Cain's expression returned to one of sadistic pleasure as he turned to Hench. "Take these two mutts away. I have a feeling our friend will be coming very soon to "rescue" them." Returning the evil smile, Hench happily obliged as Cain disappeared. Before long, the evil Alpha's began to move their prisoners for what was certain to be the end of the end of their enemies, unaware that they had been under observation by four very wide eyed young Alpha's.

"We have to tell the others," Fleet whispered to his sister, Claudette and Stinky, who all quickly nodded in agreement as they bolted toward the dens.

Kate sat motionless, her face void of any expression as her mother finished explaining to her what was happening between the latter and King. To say Kate was stunned would be an understatement. To think, she had only found out minutes before that her father was dying, now her mother was telling her that Winston might have set their current situation up. Truth be told, the young Alpha was speechless, which, of course, caused a tearful Eve to feel very unsettled.

"Kate," Eve pleaded in whisper, "sweetie, I know it is a lot to take in, but please say something." After a few more moments, Kate continued to remain silent.

"Kate," King interjected, "please understand I am not trying to cause..."

"You will need to tell Lilly," Kate quickly interrupted in a serious tone, causing Eve's eyes to go wide, but also twinkle with hope.

"Of course, of course dear," she responded eagerly.

"And I will need to hear from dad himself that what's going on between you and King was what he intended," Kate continued.

"Absolutely," Eve once again agreed, only for her smile to falter with what Kate said next.

"But..." Eve would been lying if she said she hadn't expected that, but she knew her stubborn daughter would make some kind of condition.

"But?" the golden furred Alpha inquired. Looking down to her paws, Kate let out a long sigh. After a few seconds, Kate returned her gaze to Eve, who, along with King, was surprised to to see tears in her eldest daughter's eyes.

"But,...promise me that y-you'll..." At that point Kate took in a shaky breath as she tried, and failed, to hold back her tears. "...that you'll never forget dad."

"Oh sweetie," Eve sobbed as she pulled Kate into a tight embrace, the latter now crying into her mother's chest. "I could never forget your father."

"And I wouldn't want her too, Kate," King added in as a stray tear escaped his eye. What happened next shocked King greatly, but brought great warmth to Eve's heart. Kate, having pulled herself from her mother's embrace, enveloped King in one of her own. At first shocked by the unexpected move from his lover's daughter, King gently returned the hug.

"Thank you King," Kate muttered softly as fresh tears fell, feeling her mother join the embrace which lasted for a few minutes until he trio pulled apart. At that moment, Humphrey and Sam walked into the den, the two having just bumped into each other outside, totally oblivious to what had transpired in the den.

"Hey babe?" he called, alerting his mate to his presence. Kate, having only a few seconds to recompose herself before walking to her mate.

"Yes Humphrey, what is it?"

"Oh, I just wanted to let you know that Sam told me that Runt was going to be staying with him and his family tonight, if that's okay?" Humphrey inquired with a smile, earning a giggle and nod from Kate, but a look of confusing from Sam.

"That doesn't sound quite right," Sam said skeptically, causing Humphrey to take on a confused expression of his own, "because I was coming to tell Kate that you said Anna was going to be stay with you and your lot tonight."

"W-well, that doesn't make sense," responded a clearly bewildered Humphrey, "you told me yourself..."

"And you told me yourself," Sam interrupted just as bewildered. At that moment, a new voice filled the den.

"No, my brother told you himself."

Looking to the source of the voice, Sam and King's eyes widened as they took in the form of the white wolf before them.

"Able," King rasped out.

"How is this possible?" Sam asked, resulting in a somber smile from the ghostly wolf.

"Haven't you heard of spirits with unfinished business?"

"What do you mean?" Humphrey asked, he and his mate clearly confused as to who this strange wolf was, who soon turned his attention to Eve.

"Tell them." With a nod, Eve started to speak.

"This is the main reason Winston sent me with you," she began. "Winston said that Able hear came to him in a dream, that a wolf from King's past would be seeking revenge against him and his family, and his allies."

"And I have come to tell you that it as begun."

"What has?" Sam inquired, his while being on edge from a growing panic attack.

"They will explain." Able said before vanishing, leaving the wary wolves in the den.

"WHO?!" King called, hoping to get an answer from Able, only to receive it in the form of Runt's siblings and their partners.

"MOM, DAD, SAMUEL!" Stinky called as he, Claudette, Fleet, and Magril bolted into the den.

"Son, what is it?" Humphrey asked the clearly panicked young wolves.

"It's Runt and Anna!" Stinky began, almost completely out of breath.

"What about them?" Sam quickly butted in upon the mentioning of his daughter, his panic rising by the second.

"They have them," Claudette continued for her brother. "It's Hench!" Upon hearing this, Samuel was quickly on high alert.

"Where did they take them?" he urgently asked.

"T-toward the n-northern b-borders," Magril added in. Quickly turning to King and Eve, Samuel began to issue orders.

"Eve, King, go to Rex, tell him whats happened and that we will need as many Alphas as possible!"

"Right!" King responded with a curt nod before he and Eve bolted out of the den. Turning to the young wolves that had relayed the devastating news, Samuel continued.

"You four, keep tabs of Hench, we don't want to lose them!"

"Yes sir!" Fleet responded as the four left as well, leaving Samuel alone with his friend and the latter's mate.

"You definitely would make a good leader," Humphrey joked as he nudged his friend, who somehow managed to a crack a smile.

"Too much responsibility," Samuel joked before his serious expression returned. "I need to find Terra, tell her what's happened," Samuel continued. "Best you go with the youngsters," recommended with a knowing look, which Humphrey and Kate quickly caught before leaving to catch up with their eldest children, Samuel leaving the den just seconds later. Within minutes, Samuel arrived at his families temporary den to find Terra asleep inside. Running up to her, Samuel urgently nudged her head with his nose, earning of groan from the female.

"Terra!" he whispered urgently, "Terra wake up!" Slowly but surely, Terra began to come out of her deep sleep. Upon seeing that his wife was awake, Samuel began to explain the situation. "Terra, it's Hench, he's kidnapped Anna and Runt and is taking them north!" Upon hearing this, Terra was instantly wide awake.

"It's Cain's doing!" She blurted out as she rose to her feet, confusing her mate.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"When Humphrey came to see us," Terra began to explain, "it wasn't him, it was Cain, I know it was. I was going to tell you but he must have done something to me because I fell asleep before I could warn you!" At that moment, Samuel began to connect the dots.

"He must have done the same to Humphrey but as me," he said, "because Humphrey said I had gone to talk to him."

"Then there isn't a moment to lose," Terra theorized, earning a nod from her mate who started out the den.

"Right, come on!" Samuel shouted. "King and Rex should be done organizing everyone." And of course, Samuel was right. Upon reaching the center of the valley, the two wolves eyes widened as a mass contingent of Alpha's were preparing to march to battle. With that in mind, Terra tenderly placed a paw on her stomach, unnoticed by Samuel. After a few moments, Terra knew she could not partake in the battle, but needed to give some kind of excuse without revealing her condition to her mate.

"I should stay here," she said, earning a shocked look from her mate, "just in case they send a contingent of their own. Remember, Hench was once a Rogue, so he no doubt has remembered my father's tactics." After a few moments, Terra gave a silent sigh of relief as her mate seemed to accept this excuse.

"Alright," Samuel said with a smile, leaning in to capture his mate's lips in a deep in passionate kiss, unsure if it would be the last one they would share, "I know you've got this...even if Hench IS dumber than a pile of rocks." This earned a chuckle from Terra, who gave a sad smile as Samuel left to join the others, leaving her with the pack Omega's including Elise, and a pawful of other Alpha's who had stayed behind, silently praying that her mate and father would succeed in their mission.
