Chapter by UNCLE SAM THE MAN
Cain glared daggers at the wolf that had caused his defeat, the rage in his evil soul burning hotly as he growled menacingly at King. King, on the other paw, was briefly distracted as he saw the teenage wolves run past him to safety, his eyes widening as he saw the state that Runt was in. But, his expression quickly changed from shock to anger as he returned his gaze to Cain, only for it to travel to Hench who stood by the Dark Wolf's side along with the other demonic Alphas.
"I'm surprised to see you're still alive Hench," King growled at his former lieutenant, his eyes wandering over the clearly emaciated form of the former rogue, his fur a total mess. "I suspect," King continued after a moment, "that Link and Lyle didn't fare any better?" Hench let out a sick chuckle, one that sent shivers down King's spine.
"Those half-wits?" Hench laughed, "They didn't even last a week." As he said this, Hench's sadistic smile grew even more. "Although I will admit, if it wasn't for them...I would have starved." King's eyes widened upon realizing what Hench meant, a sudden bout of nausea hitting him at the very though Hench doing what needed to be done to survive.
"You're disgusting," King growled, only for Hench to laugh again.
"Oh please King," he quipped, "you would have done the same. After all, you yourself agreed that you were so hungry...you could eat a wolf." King cast his gaze down as he heard this, remembering what he had said to Hench all those years ago. However, he would be damned before he gave Hench that satisfaction. Unfortunately, Cain was losing his patients at this point.
"ENOUGH!" he shouted with a snarl, making Hench shrink back in submissions, "Following those weak teenagers, they will lead you to the others...and as you do, I will deal with King." After Cain finished his sentence with a low growl, Hench and the others quickly departed, leaving Cain and King alone, the two glaring the other down as they began to circle each other menacingly.
"Before we start," King began ominously, "how are you hear?" Cain, upon hearing this, let out a cruel chuckle.
"My anger had fueled me beyond measure, King," the Dark Wolf snarled, "my soul has been so imbued with that anger it will continue to roam this earth until my thirst for vengeance is quenched. And with that anger, was jealousy. I envied my brother, King. I could see that he was favored by all except my loyal followers. The fact that he was so favored fueled my anger." Cain's face soon took on a sour expression at this thought.
"And I knew," he continued, "that as long as my brother lived, he would continue to inspire hope to those he had sought to overthrow me. But even after I killed him, he still inspired hope. But once I am through with you, I will deal with him."
"I think not brother." Cain froze at the sound of the new voice, his eyes widening in shock as the form of his brother appeared beside King. "Your hatred has blinded you the fact that, as long as there is good in the world, their will always be hope." Cain's shock soon turned to rage as he glared at the two wolves before him.
"Then I will snuff out that hope," he growled, "starting with you."
"We shall see," Able quipped with a sly smile before he did something that neither King nor Cain expected. Placing a ghostly paw on King's shoulder, Able's body began to disappear as his spirit washed over King, whose yellow eyes began to shine with an ethereal white glow, his grey and black markings slowly changing to a golden sheen until his whole body was practically radiating light. When all was said in done, King looked toward Cain.
"Shall he begin?" he asked in a surprising combination of his own voice and Able's. After recovering from his shock, Cain let out a menacing growl as he crouched down into a pouncing position.
"Let's," he lowly snarled before lunging at King, the latter following suit.
Meanwhile, the four teenage wolves, Runt still placed on Fleet's back, wove between trees and rocks, their enemies hot on their tails.
"We can't shake em!" Stinky called as he narrowly missed being tackled by Tex. Fortunately, the group found a ray of hope, courtesy of the sound of Rex's voice.
"Kids!" he called from the top of hill, "up here!" With Rex in their sights, the group charged up the hill. Once they had reached Rex, the group continued to run, this time with Rex on their tails, out of sight of the advancing enemy. Looking to his left and right, Hench snarled out orders.
"They have nowhere to run!" he bellowed. "remember to kill the males, but spare the females." The group of Alpha's let out evil chuckles as they bounded over the hilltop, only to stop in surprise at the sight of Rex, backed by his army of Alpha's, Samuel and Eve standing by his side as they all growled and snarled at Hench's forces. After a few moments of staring each other down, Rex shouted to his followers.
"CHARGE!" In an instant, both sides were charging at each other, shouting or howling battle cry's before coming together in a great battle. Meanwhile, as the carnage commenced, the group of teenagers happened upon Humphrey and Kate, the two parent's eyes widening at the sight of their youngest child as fleet laid him down.
"Runt," Kate called in a pained whisper, tears forming in her eyes as her son lay motionless. "Runt," she called again hoping to get a response. "Ru...Marcus...Marcus, honey, can you here me?" After a few moments, Runt, or rather, Marcus, answered.
"Mom?" he called out. Kate's eyes widened as a hopeful smile spread on her face.
"Yes sweetie," she responded, pressing her head against her son's blood stained cheek, "I'm here, mommy's here." Letting out a cough, Runt continued to speak.
"I thought we agreed Runt was a better fit for me." Letting out a forced laugh, Humphrey, along with Stinky, Claudette and Anna gathered around Runt. Unfortunately, the bitter sweet moment was interrupted by growls coming from behind them. Turning to the source of the growls, the group could see several evil Alphas ganging up on them. Having none of this, and wanting to protect the wounded wolf beside him, Humphrey, accompanied by his eldest children and their friends, stood their ground as they snarled back at their adversaries. Fortunately for them, they would not have to lift a paw.
"NOT MY FAMILY YOU BASTARDS!" Before any of them could blink, Kate lunged herself right into the group of evil Alpha's, all of them soon attempting to escape in fear as Kate used a force more powerful than anything in the universe, dead or undead; maternal instinct. Runt, upon hearing the carnage that his mother was inflicting, shuddering slightly at the unmistakable sound of a wolf's throat being ripped out and said wolf choking on their own blood.
"I'm actually glad I can't see what's going on," he murmured. Humphrey numbly nodded in agreement as the other's stared wide eyed as Kate literally tore one of the wolves tails off and shoved it down his throat.
"Probably for the best son," Humphrey answered, "because your mother his definitely Grandma Eve's daughter." Back on the main field of battle, Eve was actually faring about the same as her daughter. Only, instead of a tail, she shoved the wolf's own balls down his throat, leaving Samuel and Rex, the two having just dispatched two other dark Alpha's, wide eyed, as well as instinctively covering their own groins.
"Remind me never to piss Eve off," Rex whispered to Samuel, who rapidly nodded in response. The moment, however, was soon interrupted by a loud scream coming from a female. Turning tot he source, Rex's eyes widened as he saw Jenna pinned under a brown furred wolf, his erect member dangling between his legs, a lustful smile on his face as he prepared to defile her. Overcome with a profound feeling of rage, Rex charged at the wolf, knocking him of his fiance before quickly using his claws to the slash the stunned wolf's throat.
Samuel found himself smiling at the tender scene of Rex helping Jenna to her feet, gently nuzzling her as a means to offer some comfort. But as this happened, Samuel was tackled to the ground. Looking in the direction of his attacker, Samuel snarled as Hench began to menacingly stalk toward him, a sadistic smile on his face.
"I'm going to enjoy this," he growled before he and Samuel, a snarl on his own muzzle, lunged at each other.
