Chapter 11: The True Him Revealed
"I have to go," Bankotsu quickly says as Kikyo stares at him with wide, shock eyes. He ends the call before tossing the phone onto his desk. "Ki-"
"What did you just say?" She questions slowly.
"Kikyo-"
"What did you say, Bankotsu?" She asks again before shaking her head. "No, no, this must be a joke," she whispers to herself.
Bankotsu sighs as he runs his hands through his hair. "Look Kikyo-"
"No. I want you to tell me the truth," she snaps. "I just heard-"
"You know what, bitch? Yes, you heard correctly," Bankotsu snaps; he was tired of putting up this acting for her. "I want Kagome, dead or alive, it doesn't matter at this point."
"But wh-"
"Why?" Bankotsu asks before sneering. "She's the ambassador and military general's daughter. Who wouldn't want her?"
Kikyo is silent as she stares at the man in front of her. "Who are you?"
"You don't want to know who I am or what I have done," Bankotsu honestly tells her before taking a step towards her. He continues to walk until he's standing in front of her. He places a hand on her cheek, causing Kikyo to flinch but stay in her place.
"I need your help, Kiks."
"Why would you need my help?"
"You can help me capture Kagome," he states. "Work with me and you'll have Inuyasha," he says as he stares into her eyes. He smirks before stating: "So, what do you say? Help me get the girl who has taken so much from you or-"
Before he could finish his sentence, Kikyo knees him in his crotch.
"You BITCH!" He loudly swears as he holds his crotch while falling to the ground. He groans as he falls onto his side. Kikyo quickly runs out the room and down the hallway.
"That should keep him down for a minute. I just need to get my clothes and purse," she whispers to herself as she runs into Bankotsu's room. She quickly puts on her pants before she grabs her belongs and makes a dash down the hallway and towards the door. She was ten steps away from the door, before something hit her on the back of her head.
Her clothes and purse fall out her hands as she hits the floor. She places a hand on the back of her head and pulls it back in front of her to see that her fingers are covered in blood, her blood.
"Fuck," she whispers as she tries to get up but the pain in the back of the head stops her. She groans as she tries to move again but couldn't. She limply crawls to the door, this was her only one of escaping.
"Need help, love?" Bankotsu asks from behind her. He bends down and rolls her over.
"Ohhhhh!" Kikyo hiss in pain as her head hits the hardwood floor.
"What happen, huh? Did you get it by my vase?" He mockingly questions as he straddles her waist.
"Go to hell," she hisses causing Bankotsu to smile.
"Trust me, I will," he tells her. "Now, I'm going to ask you this once. Are you going to join me and help me capture Kagome? Or are you going to be like the other bitches who have betrayed me."
"Go to hell," she repeats as she leans up and spits in his face.
"Wrong answer," he growls in anger.

With Suikotsu
"Kagura, what the hell?"
"Is that any way to greet your comrade?"
"A traitor is what you are," Suikotsu snaps as he puts his gun into the waist band of pants. Kagura smiles in response. She is Bankotsu's ex-girlfriend.
"Look at the pot calling the kettle out," Kagura says. "I know why you're here."
"Do tell," Suikotsu states as he crosses his arms.
"You're working with Naraku in exchange for Jakotsu and a lesser sentence when captured," Kagura explains as she closes the door.
Suikotsu freezes for a minute before shaking his head; he would not let her get to him and ruin the plan.
"That sounds very-"
"Cut the bull Suikotsu," Kagura states as she locks the door before walking to take a seat on Bankotsu's couch. "I know so much because I'm working for Naraku and the government as well."
"I knew you were working for someone, I just didn't know who," Suikotsu mumbles as Kagura crosses her legs then her arms.
"When I left you guys, I didn't go running to Naraku for help, I just wanted to get away," She defends as she pulls out a small fan from her jacket's sleeve. "And for a matter of fact, he came to me."
"Typical," Suikotsu mumbles. "Why did you leave?"
Kagura stares at him for a minute before she sighs. She opens her fan and start to fan herself while she talks. She leans her head back before looking at her friend. "I left because Bankotsu wasn't willing to change. All he wanted was power, death, violence, and bloodshed. He wasn't willing to change for anyone, not even me."
"You knew that, we all knew that," Suikotsu defends.
"You always come to his defense," Kagura mumbles as she stops fanning herself.
"I do-"
"You do," She snaps, and she turns her head to glare at him. "I'm sorry to tell you this, but there's not a good bone in your brother's body."
Suikotsu opens his mouth to respond, but stops 'Do I always defend him? After everything that he has done?'
"Whatever," Suikotsu mumbles he looks off to the side. "What made you realize that he wasn't going to change."
The clock ticking is the only thing that's making noise in the room. Suikotsu turns his head to see Kagura looking into her lap as she sets her fan down. A frown forms on Suikotsu's face when he doesn't get a response. "Kagura, what happened? What did he do?"
"He," Kagura starts to say but pauses. She licks her lips before looking up at her friend. Suikotsu's face turns into shock as he sees tears welling in her eyes. "He killed our baby."
"What?" Suikotsu automatically whispers. "What do he mean?" He starts walking towards her as he waits for her to respond.
"He had Mukotsu drug me and when I woke up the next day, Bank was sitting in a chair next to my bed and said he handled the mistake," Kagura says as tears run down her face. "I thought he would be happy, I was happy."
Suikotsu stares at Kagura's pained face as she spoke. He slowly took a seat next to her. "He took the most important thing in my life. He robbed me from starting a new life, from being a mother."
Her fierce, teary eyes turn and look at her friend. "I hate him,
I will always hate him. He brushed it off like it was nothing, but it was something. That baby meant something to me."
Suikotsu wraps his arms around her; Kagura leans her head against his and close her eyes as tears run down her cheek.
"I'm sorry, Kagura," Suikotsu whispers after a minute.
"I am too," She mutters back before leaning off of him and wiping the tears off her cheek. "But enough about that, what are doing snooping around in Bankotsu's office?"
"I'm looking for his employer for the Higurashi case?"
"The one where they're trying to kidnap Kagome?" Kagura asks for confirmation.
"Yes," Suikotsu states as he stands up; he pulls back his wrist to look at his watch, Bankotsu should be back soon, meaning that they needed to leave soon. "Have you heard anything about what they want to do with her?"
"You're asking me, that traitor who left, what eight months ago?"
"Ten," Suikotsu corrects. "Bankotsu likes to remind us of your departure daily."
"He would. I bet it angered him when he realized I left. It angered him more when he couldn't find me."
"It did," he states. "He told everyone that you betrayed us. Half of us wanted to kill you," Suikotsu tells her. "They believe that you were the reason Jakotsu went missing."
"Kami, I wish I was there to see his face," Kagura states with a grin as she leans back. "The look of defeat and embarrassment would last me for a life time.
"You know he did lov-"
"That man isn't capable of love," Kagura snaps. "Maybe he loves bloodshed and violence but to care for another human being, that's impossible."
Suikotsu nods as he starts to make his way to Bankotsu's desk. He makes sure everything is back to normal before turning to look at Kagura. "I'm about to go. I have what I was looking for."
"Good," Kagura says as she stands up and grabs her fan. "Did you want to get lunch or something. It's on me."
Suikotsu was going to deny her, but when he looks at her face, he could see that she was tired, angry, and sad. Her and Bankotsu's relationship was complicated, but somehow, they made it work for over 2 years. Kagura was the hacker for their group, she would hack into government's computer's system and steal any information that she desired. She was a treasure to their group.
But after hearing what Bankotsu did to her, he couldn't forgive his brother. He knew he was ruthless, but to do that to someone that you care for, that was despicable!
He sighs before saying: "Sure, why not."
"Great, come on, let's go," Kagura says as she walks towards the door, unlocks it and walks out without a care in the world. Suikotsu follows after her, he looks around the room before closing the door and walking down the hallway with Kagura in front of him.

Ten Minutes Later
With Inuyasha and Kagome
"You're such a jackass," Kagome states as Inuyasha stops at a red light.
"Huh?" Inuyasha asks as he turns to look at her.
"I said that you are a jackass."
Inuyasha gasps as the light turn green and he continues to drive. "Do you kiss our son with that mouth?"
Kagome rolls her eyes as she turns around and looks at her son who's watching a video on his tablet.
"You didn't have to treat Hojo like that. You frighten him," She says as she turns to look at him.
"Keh. He wasn't man enough to stand up to me," Inuyasha says causing Kagome to roll her eyes again. She sighs as her mind starts to drift back to what happened a few minutes ago.
"Oh!" Hojo says as he looks at Inuyasha and his son then looks at Kagome who's sporting a small baby bump. "OH!"
"Yeah so I'll appreciate it if you weren't so friendly with-"
"Inuyasha," Kagome angrily snaps before turning to face Hojo. "I'm sorry about him."
"It's okay," Hojo sates with a flush face. He pulls his arm out and looks at his watch. "Actually, I have to go."
"Oh, okay. You probably live a busy life. But do you want to get lunch some time?"
"That'll be nice," Hojo states with a small smile but it drops as he sees the look on Inuyasha's face. He turns white as a ghost as he sees angry and intimidating golden eyes staring at him. "But like you said, I live a busy life. But I'll see if I have an opening in my schedule and I'll text you."
Hojo looks down before looking up and giving Kagome a small smile. "Well I have to go. It was seeing you again. It was nice to meet you, Inuyasha, and your son."
"Our son," Inuyasha corrects causing Kagome to groan in frustration.
"Yes. Well, uhh, Farwell," Hojo awkward says with a wave before shuffling side, ways from the group
After Hojo left, Kagome grabbed her son and stomped out the airport and to their car. Inuyasha shrugged and followed after her. Her calling him a jackass was the first thing that she said to him since they left the airport.
"He needed to learn his place," Inuyasha defends. "I see that look in his eyes, he wanted t-"
"Just like Kikyo, huh?"
"Kag-"
"No. Your behavior was unacceptable. Hojo did nothing wrong, he's a friend. A close friend at that," Kagome states. "I didn't act like a bitch when you were all chit chatty with Kikyo. In fact, I was nice with her when I first met her," she says as she looks out the window.
Inuyasha sighs as he listens to his wife, he knew this was a fight he wasn't going to win and knew that she was right.
"Can we not argue right now?" he asks as he looks at her.
"You're such a jackass," she concludes as she looks out the window.
"I am," he states as he stops at a red light. "But I'm your jackass."
"Hmm," Kagome mumbles with a pout.
"Okay, I'm sorry that I acted that way. But have you seen you?" Inuyasha asks, causing Kagome to turn and look at him. "Pregnant or not, you're hot as hell. You're a model for Kami's sake."
Kagome continues to stare into his eyes as he continues to talk.
"And I'm sorry that I acted that one. I just, I just don't want anyone to steal you away from me," he tells her honesty.
"No one won't," Kagome says as she cups his face. She sighs as she looks down before looking back up. "I guess that's why Kikyo and I won't get along."
"We're two jealous jackasses, huh?" Inuyasha asks, causing Kagome to giggle.
"We are, we are," she agrees as she leans up and kisses him. Inuyasha smirks as he kisses her back. He pulls away and leans his head against hers.
"Love you."
"Love you too."

With Bankotu
"Look what you made me do, Kiks," Bankotsu says as he stares at the unconscious Kikyo. He sighs as he runs his fingers through his messy hair. He gets off of Kikyo and walks towards his office.
Once in his room, grabs his phone off the night stand. He presses the number 5 before placing the phone on speaker. He walks out the room and towards the hallway where he left Kikyo; she was still there.
"Hello?"
"I need your help, Mukotsu."
"What did you do this time?"
"Gave someone a little warning. But I guess that I was too harsh," Bankotsu states as he peers at Kikyo's red and purple neck. During his moment of rage, he had chocked Kikyo until she became unconscious. Luckily for him, he didn't kill her.
"I'll be there in ten minutes."
"Why thank you, kind brother."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah."
Bankotsu ends the call and places his phone into his back pocket before bending down and running his fingers through Kikyo's hair.
"Now what am I going to do with you, huh, Kiks? You're useful, that's why I kept you alive."
He bends down and kisses her head before moving his face to her ear. "Play your cards right and I'll make sure you live. Betray me, well you won't like what happens."

An Hour Later
With Kagome and Inuyasha
"Whoa!" Kazushi shouts in glee as the waitress places a bowl of chocolate ice cream in front of him.
The waitress giggles before setting another bowl of chocolate ice cream with chocolate syrup on top, on the table, in between Kagome and Inuyasha.
"Is that all?"
"Yes, thank you," Kagome says with a smile. The waitress nods and leaves while Inuyasha gets his son situated with his dessert.
"Yummy?" Inuyasha asks as he feeds his son the ice cream. Kazushi happily nods as he reaches for the spoon in his father's hands in order to feed himself. Inuyasha smiles at him before handing him the spoon and turning to look at Kagome.
"It looks so good," Kagome states as Inuyasha picks up his spoon. He dips his spoon into the ice cream and brings it to his lips. He lightly groans as the ice cream melts in his mouth.
"Oh, rub it in. I knew I should have gotten dessert," Kagome says with a pout.
Inuyasha chuckles as he pulls the spoon out and dips it into the bowl and holds the spoon filled ice cream in front of his wife. "Here."
"Why thank you, kind sir," Kagome coos as she leans forward. Inuyasha chuckles as he leans closer to her as well.
"You know, I could get some chocolate syrup tonight," Inuyasha seductive mumbles as feeds Kagome another spoon full of chocolate ice cream.
"Really?" Kagome states as she opens her mouth; Inuyasha automatically places the spoon into her mouth. She lightly moans, causing Inuyasha to bite his bottom lip as he stares at her heated eyes.
"Yeah," he mumbles. "And you can watch me lick it off your lips, your b-"
Kagome stares at her husband as he pulls the clean spoon out of her mouth. "My what?
"You-"
Riiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnggggggg!
"Shit," he mumbles as he pulls away from Kagome and grabs his phone from his back pocket. "Hello?"
Kagome smiles at him before looking at her son who now has chocolate ice cream covering his mouth and cheeks.
"You messy boy," she chastises as she grabs a napkin and starts to wipe his face.
"Really? Is she okay?"
Kagome looks over and raises a brow as she sees the pained and shocked look on her husband's face. 'I wonder what happen? It doesn't look good.'
Kagome lets out a sigh before turning back to her son to clean him. After a minute she sets the napkin down and sits back to looks at her husband.
"Okay, yeah. We'll stop by later. Okay, bye." Inuyasha states. He sets down the phone and lets out a sigh.
"What happened?" Kagome automatically asks.
"Kikyo's in the hospital," he states with a distress look on his face.
"Is she okay?" Kagome asks.
"They don't know yet," he tells her with a sigh.
"Did you want to go now?" She asks before Kazushi calls her name.
"Mommy! I done!" He shouts as he shows her the bowl.
"I see, I see. Good job," Kagome says with a grin. Kazushi smiles at her before putting his spoon in his bowl.
"We can go in a few," Inuyasha says. "Let's finish our dessert, first."
"Inuyasha, we can go right now," She states as she makes a move to stand up.
"Kagome, it's fine. Kikyo's mother said that she hadn't even woken up yet," Inuyasha explains as he stops her from standing up. "Right now, let's just enjoy our dessert. We can take Kazushi home then stop by and see her before your doctor's appointment."
Kagome curiously stares at him before she nods in response. "Okay. That sounds fine."
"Good," Inuyasha says as he picks his spoon up, gets some ice cream on it, and positions it in front of Kagome. "Eat."
"I do hope Kikyo is okay," Kagome says before opening her mouth, accepting the spoon.
"Me too. Me too."

With Kikyo
'Uh! Why is it so dark?' Kikyo thinks as she starts shaking her head from side to side.
"She's waking up!"
"Hi love. How are you feeling?" Bankotsu asks as he sits on the side of the bed and cups her face. Kikyo frown in response. Before her eyes fluttered open, she is immediately greeted with Bankotsu's "concerned" face.
"Wha-"
"Shh, save your strength," hewhispers with a wicked smile as he places a finger on her lips. He turns around and looks at the nurse standing behind him. "Go get a doctor."
The nurse nods before leaving the room.
Bankotsu watches her leave before turning around to face Kikyo who's squinting her eyes to adjust to the light. "I'm glad that you're awake, Kikyo. You gave me a real scare."
It took Kikyo a minute to register what he said, once she realized what her lover did say, her frown deepens, and she glares at him.
"You did it. You did this to me," she snaps as she stares up at him. "You hurt me and I'm going to tell everyone what you did and what you're planning on doing."
"Tsk, tsk, tsk," Bankotsu says with a shake of the head. "You're not going to do that, Kikyo."
"And why the hell wouldn't I?" Kikyo asks as she tilts her head to look him in the eyes.
"Because if you do, I'll make sure I kill you this time," Bankotsu states with a dangerous twinkle in his eyes. He smiles as he sees fear pass through her eyes. "Or how about your parents. I know where they live."
"You won-"
"I would. Or how about your friends?" Bankotsu states with a tilt of the head. "You don't know me. You don't know what I'm capable of." He glances behind him before turning back to face the woman in the hospital bed. He leans closer, causing Kikyo to shrink back. "I've killed men, women, the elderly, all the way down to babies. I once killed a child in front of his parents."
Kikyo grips the blanket while staring up at him with tears in her eyes.
"So, don't think you're so honored that I won't kill you or those you love. As I said, you have no idea what I am capable and able to do. Do you understand me?"
Kikyo gulps as fear consumes her body; she gives a shakily nod in response.
"Good. Now, when they ask you what happen, tell them that you were going outside to get an Uber when three bulky men grabbed you and stole your purse. You struggled for a while, but lost unconsciousness when you hit your head on the concrete and one of them chocked you."
A nod of Kikyo's head tells him that she understood.
"Good."
"Ms. Kikyo, I heard that you were up," a tall male doctor greets as he walks into the room with the nurse from earlier. Bankotsu kisses Kikyo's head before standing up to give the nurse and doctor some room. He stands in the corner of the room with his arms crossed as he listens to Kikyo speak.
He smiles as he listens to the story that she tells the doctor.
'Good girl,' he thinks with a sinister smile.

Later that Afternoon
With Inuyasha and Kagome
"I'm glad that your mom was home," Kagome comments as she and Inuyasha walk down the driveway towards his car.
"Looks like our parents are getting close," Inuyasha states as he unlocks the car. They had just dropped the sleeping Kazushi off at the Takahashi's household. When they had walked in, they saw Korari and Izayoi drinking tea and chatting amongst each other. Izayoi had told them that Makoto and Inu No Taisho were out golfing.
"Which I'm glad of," Kagome responds as she opens the door. "Maybe we should have introduced them earlier."
"Keh," Inuyasha replies back as he opens his door and gets into the car. Once they're both in the car, they close the door and put on their seatbelts.
Kagome places a hand on her stomach and smiles. "My babies."
"Hey."
"Huh?" Kagome questions as she turns her head to look at her husband.
"Thank you."
"For what?" Kagome responds with a raised brow.
"For tagging alone to go see-"
"We're checking on a friend," she interrupts with a genuine smile. Inuyasha grins back before turning to start the engine. Kagome stares at him for a minute before looking back down at her stomach. She was growing, a lot!
"Kagome."
"What?"
"I love you."
"You're just now realizing that?" Kagome jokingly asks with a grin. "I'm hurt."
"Keh," Inuyasha responds as he puts the car into drive and drives out of the circle drive way.

Fifteen Minutes Later
With Kikyo
Knock! Knock! Knock!
"Come in," Kikyo calmly says as leans back in her bed. She had a white gauze wrapped around her neck and her head. Other than the injuries she acquired, she received a great bill of health. However, the doctor stated that he wanted her to stay the night for observation.
"Hey," Kagome greets as she and Inuyasha walk into her room.
"Hi," she greets with a small smile.
"How are you feeling?" Kagome asks as she and her husband walk towards her bed side. Inuyasha walks towards the corner of the room and grabs a chair; he positions it behind her. Kagome thanks him with a smile before taking a seat; she had been feeling tired lately. She'll talk about it with her doctor.
"I'm good for now. The drugs are helping," she tells her with a smile. Kagome nods in responses.
"What happened?" Inuyasha asks as he leans against the arm of Kagome's chair.
"I was leaving Bankotsu's apartment and was waiting for an Uber when these three guys came and attacked me," Kikyo says what she was told by Bankotsu.
"That's horrible!" Kagome gasps. "Well I glad that someone found you and you're here, things could have been worst."
"Yeah," Kikyo mumbles with furrowed brows.
"Why were you looking for an Uber? Bankotsu couldn't drop you off at the house or your parent's house," Inuyasha questions with a raised brow.
"Bankotsu had left and went to work," Kikyo lied. Inuyasha shakes his head from side to side. Something wasn't adding up, but he didn't want to call her out; not right now at least.
"You missed Sango and Miroku," Kagome states. "They left today."
"Really?! Shoot, I was hoping to say bye to them before they left."
"Sango said they were coming back for Sesshomaru and Rin's wedding though," Kagome tells her with a smile. "She might be bringing a little surprise as well."
"And what would that be?" Inuyasha questions as he looks down at Kagome.
"You'll find out soon or later."
"You know wives shouldn't keep secrets from their husbands," Inuyasha tells her with a mocking serious look in his eyes. Kagome and Kikyo giggle in response.
They talked for additional ten minutes until Inuyasha excused himself to answer a phone call.
"It's Jim, I wonder what he wants," Inuyasha says as he looks down at Kagome. "I'm going to take this. Meet me downstairs in ten?"
"Sounds good," Kagome states as Inuyasha gives her a kiss on the side of the head.
"Feel better Kikyo," he says, giving her a small smile.
"Thanks. I'll try. Thank you for checking up on me."
"It's no problem. We might stop by tomorrow, depending on what time we go see our house," Inuyasha says.
"Are you guys planning on staying here, in Japan?" Kikyo asks with a raised brow.
"That's the plan," Kagome states as Inuyasha's phone rings again.
"This better by important," he mumbles as he walks out the room.
"Inuyasha and I thought it would be beneficial if we stayed here for a while. We wanted Kazushi and the babies to know their grandparents and their roots."
"That sounds nice," Kikyo states.
Kagome nods in agreement as she smiles at her. "So how are you really feeling?" she asks. "Have they given you enough drugs?" she jokingly asks. Kikyo chuckles before shaking her head.
"Enough, but not enough to get rid of the pain in the back of my head."
"That sucks," Kagome states. "But I know the feeling. When I got hit in the back of the head at the church, it was like hell when I woke up. And they couldn't give me medicine because they were afraid it would affect the babies."
"That sounds horrible."
"It was," Kagome says with a sigh. "But I'm grateful that Bankotsu was able to save me."
"Wait, what?" Kikyo question with an unrecognizable look on her face. "Bankotsu saved you from the church fire?"
"Yes. Remember, he picked me up and ran out of the church before it collapsed in the back. He was one of the flower delivery men," Kagome explains. "You remember, right?"
"He did," Kikyo mumbles slowly as she places a hand on her cheek. 'If Bankotsu was trying to kill Kagome, why would he save her. Unless, he doesn't want her. What if he's working for som-"
"Aren't you dating him?" Kagome asks with a raised brow.
"Who?" Kikyo questions, snapping out of her thought.
"Bankotsu?"
"Bankotsu, mmm, yes. I was leaving his apartment before I got mugged."
Kagome nods in response.
"He left early but he should-"Kikyo pauses as she looks at her ex-boyfriend's wife. 'Should Kagome be here when Bankotsu comes back? What if he tried to take her.'
"He should what?" Kagome asks with a tilt of the head. "Kikyo, are you okay, you seem a little off. Maybe you should get some rest."
"I'm fine," Kikyo harshly defends. "And I was going to say that he had left but was coming back."
Kagome slowly nods in head in response. "If you say so."
"You know what, I am a sleepy. And if you don't min-"
"I get it, I get it. Rest in the best medicine as they say," Kagome states while letting out a nervous chuckle.
"That's what they've been telling me," Kikyo replies as she looks at the clock on the wall above the television. 'Bankotsu should be coming back soon. But I need to tell Kagome. Her life is in danger.'
"Well, I'll see you later. I got an appointment to catch," Kagome says as she stands up and grabs her purse from the night stand; she starts walking towards the door.
"Kagome, wait," Kikyo states causing Kagome to turn around and look at her.
"Yes?"
"I need to tell you something," Kikyo says as she looks at her.
"What is it?"
"You-" she starts to say but pauses. If she told her, she would not only be putting her life in danger but Kagome's as well. "look good for someone who's pregnant with twins."
"Thanks," Kagome replies slowly. She raises a brow as she looks at her husband's ex-girlfriend; she was acting weird. "You go get some sleep."
"I will. Thanks," Kikyo responds. Kagome nods as she turns around and walks out the room.
"Great," Kikyo whispers as she leans her head back. "I should have told her, but Bankotsu would have killed us both."
She blows her bangs out of her faces a she frowns. "What should I do? What should I do?"

Twenty Minutes Later
With Kagome and Inuyasha
"Inuyasha! That's our babies," Kagome squeals while looking up at Inuyasha as they hold hands. Inuyasha smiles as he stares at the screen. Their twins were much bigger than when they last saw them.
"How does everything look, old woman?"
Kagome slaps her husband's chest at his comment.
"Everything looks great. They're growing accordingly and based upon your test results, they're healthy."
"That's good," Kagome says with a nod. Kaede smiles at them while handing Kagome a hand full of paper towels. As Kagome wipes her stomach, Kaede begins to pack up her equipment. "Ms. Kaede, I heard that you're retiring soon."
"That is correct. I've spent nearly forty years at this hospital, it's time for this old woman to take some time off and relax."
Kagome giggles as she hands Inuyasha the dirt napkins.
"However, I will be your doctor until these two devils are born," Kaede jokingly says. "At your next appointment, we will identify the gender of the fetuses."
"Are they identical or fraternal?" Inuyasha asks as he throws the used napkins away.
"Identical," Kaede states as she stands up.
"I can't wait to see them!" Kagome squeals as she pulls her shirt down and sits up.
"I have prescribed you some vitamins and medication to take as well," Kaede states. "This will help with your nausea and the growth of your children."
Kagome and Inuyasha nod their heads in response.
"Your doctor from your last pregnancy notified me about some of the complications that you endured during your last pregnancy. Because of that, I'll be having another doctor assisting me with the birth and going over your test results."
"Thank you so much, Kaede. That means the world to us," Kagome says with thankfulness embedded in her voice.
"When Kazushi was born, he was so small. At one moment, it was touch and go," Inuyasha softly states as he runs his fingers through his hair. Kaede nods as she sees the look of discomfort and sadness on the couple's face.
"Well, let's not focus on the negative," she says as she claps her hands. "Only the positive. Your twins are healthy."
"They are," Kagome says in agreement with a smile.
"And you'll see them soon," Kaede states. "Now, let's just take a few more test and a weigh in and I can get you two out of here with pictures of your children. Sound good?"
"Yes!"

With Naraku
Knock! Knock!
"Come in!" Kikyo shouts as she flips through a magazine.
"Hey."
She looks up and makes eye contact with Kagome's older brother, Naraku.
"Hi," she says as she places the magazine on the night stand.
"Kagome told me what happened. I just came by to check on you," Naraku states as he walks into the room carrying a bag. He walks towards her and hands it to her. She looks inside to see a bunch of candy bars and snacks.
"Hospital food isn't always the best," he tells her, giving her a small smile. She returns the gesture.
"Thank you."
"No problem. Well, I'm going to go and let finish reading your magazine."
Kikyo lightly chuckles as she stares at Naraku. Even though she knew him for a limited time, she trusted him. Because of that factor, she had to tell him. If she told him, he would know what to do.
"Thanks," she states. He nods and starts walking out the room until Kikyo called his name.
"Naraku!"
The man in questioning turns around and looks at his one-time lover. "What is it, Kikyo?"
Her fist tightens on the white blankets as she looks down before looking up at Naraku.
"This something I have to tell you."
"You aren't pregnant, are you?"
Kikyo cracks a smile before shaking her head. "No, it's something more serious."
"Then what is it?"
"It's about my boyfriend, Bankotsu."

.
Later that Night
With Kagome
"Bad boy!" Kagome squeals as Kazushi splashes water on her. Kazushi giggles as he slams his hands on the bath water causing more water to tip out of the bath tub and splash everywhere. Kagome giggles at the smile on Kazushi's face.
"Sounds look there's a party in here," Inuyasha states as he walks into the bathroom. He smiles as he sees Kagome inside the tub with their son. She was leaning against the tub's wall as Kazushi splashes her with water.
"Your son keeps throwing water everywhere," Kagome says as she lightly throws some water at him. Kazushi giggles as he picks up his toy boat.
Inuyasha chuckles as bends down in front of the tub.
"Are you clean?" He asks Kazushi. His son nods before showing him his toy boat.
"Nice," Inuyasha says as he picks it up. "Did grandma Izzy get you that?"
Kazushi smiles and nods before letting out a yawn.
"Are you sleepy baby?" Kagome asks as she rubs his doggy ear. Kazushi nods again before looking up at her with big doggy eyes.
"Awww! You're just so cute," Kagome coos as her son rubs his eyes.
"Time for bed, buddy," Inuyasha states as he grabs the cherry colored bath towel off the toilet seat. Kagome smiles as she watches Inuyasha grab their naked son out of the tub and cuddle him with the towel.
"You ready to leave too?" Inuyasha asks as he looks down at Kagome with a raised brow.
"I'll leave in a minute," Kagome tells him. "Night, baby."
"Night mama," Kazushi mumbles into his father's neck. Kagome blows him a kiss and smiles as she watches Inuyasha walk out of the bathroom.
She sighs as she places a hand over her semi bloated stomach. "Hi babies. Are you guys awake? Probably not. Well, I just want you guys to know that me and daddy love you with all our heart and your big brother loves you too. We all love you guys. And we can't wait to see you guys."
Kagome sinks down lower in the tub as she rubs her stomach. She leans her head back and closes her eyes; she starts humming to calm herself and her unborn kids.
"Kags, I put Kazushi to sleep. We were going to wait-"Inuyasha starts to say but pauses as he sees the condition Kagome was in; she was asleep.
"Hey, Kagome," Inuyasha says as he walks towards the bath tub and bends down in front of the tub. "Kagome."
"Hmm?" Kagome moans as she turns her head and looks at him with sleepy eyes.
"Are you ready for bed too?" Inuyasha asks with a chuckle as he stands up and walks to the cabinet next to the sink. He opens the red oak cabinet and pulls out a red towel. He walks back to the tub and opens it. "Come on."
"I didn't take my vitamins today," Kagome mutters as she stands up, the warm water drips down her body and back into the tub. She carefully steps out of the tub and walks into the towel.
"We'll make sure you take them tomorrow," Inuyasha states as he wraps the towel around her body. She leans her head against his and closes her eyes.
"I'm really tired," she says he guides them out of the room.
"I can tell," Inuyasha responds with a chuckle as he opens the door and walks down the hallway to their room. After getting into their bedroom, Inuyasha dries Kagome off before putting her in one of his t-shirts and a pair of underwear. He tucks her into bed before walking around to his side of the bed and getting in.
"Thanks," she mumbles as she snuggles into the pillow.
"Yeah," he mumbles back as he picks up his laptop from the night. He turns it on and begins to work on some recent cases. While he was working he paused to think before turning to look at his wife who's asleep.
"He's so small," Kagome says as she looks at the ultrasound photo of their son.
"He is," Inuyasha says as he opens the door to their house. He steps aside and lets Kagome waddle into the house first; she was almost six months pregnant.
Woof! Woof!
"Hi Ash," Kagome greets with a smile as she runs her fingers through his fur.
"Would you like to see your little brother?"
She bends down a little and shows him the photograph. Ash sniffs the paper before licking it. "Uhhh! Bad dog!"
Woof!
Kagome giggles before standing up to her full height and turning to look at her husband who's looking at her with a sad glimmer in his eyes. She frowns as she waddles towards him.
"What's the matter?" She asks with a tilt of the head.
"It's no-"
"Don't lie to me Yash," Kagome firmly says. Her husband stares at her before letting out a sad sigh.
"I'm just hung over what the doctor said. What if he doesn't make it-"
"He'll make it, Yash," Kagome states as she wraps her arms around his waist. "I can feel it you know? I know everything is going to be okay. Before you know it, we'll be holding our baby in our arms. Bringing him home, having him meet Ash. Everything's going to be okay, Yashie."
"I hope so," Inuyasha says as he wraps his arms around her waist and lays his head on top of hers. "Thanks for that."
"Anytime, dog boy."
Inuyasha chuckles before kissing the side of her head. "Love you wench."
"Love you too, Inuyasha."
He smiles as he stares at his wife with love in his eyes. 'She was always positive and fought for what she believed in.'
He bends down and gives her a kiss.
"Good night, Kagome. Love you wench," he mumbles before going back to work.

With Kikyo
"How are you feeling, Kikyo?" Bankotsu asks as he walks into the room with a bag of food in his hand. "I hope you like Chinese."
Kikyo rolls her eyes and continues to watch the television.
"It's rude to not spe-"
"Go to hell."
Bankotsu rolls his eyes as he sets the food on the table in the corner of the room. He walks towards her, causing Kikyo to let out an annoyed sigh.
"You can't be mad at me forever," Bankotsu says as he sits on the side of the bed and cups her face.
"Why?"
"Because you started to fall in love with me."
"Didn't you say a while back that I was in love with Inuyasha?" Kikyo taunts as she glares at him with heated eyes.
"You can love two people at once," Bankotsu counters as he brings his other hand up to stroke her hair.
"But you're wrong. I'm not in love with Inuyasha nor am I in love with you."
"Lying isn't a pretty look on you, Kiks," Bankotsu says as he bends down and kisses her cheek. He pulls away and looks at Kikyo who's glaring at him.
"I hope you rot in hell."
"I will," Bankotsu states as he walks towards the table in the corner of the food. He pulls out a white carton and a fork. He walks towards Kikyo and hands it to her. Kikyo cautiously grabs it while looking at him. "So, I heard that you had a few visitors today. Your mom and dad came, then your friends stopped by afterwards."
Kikyo slowly nods as she starts to open the carton, revealing fried rice.
"Inuyasha and Kagome spotted by as well. I do hope you didn't say anything."
"I didn't," she mumbles as she dips her fork into the food.
"Good," he says as he stands up. Kikyo looks at him from the corner of her eye; he didn't say anything about Naraku.
'Maybe he's testing me,' she thinks but remains silent as Bankotsu sits in the corner of the room eating while typing something into his phone.
Before Naraku left, Kikyo had told him everything that she knew about Bankotsu. The entire time she was telling Naraku about Bankotsu, he remained silent. After she was done, he had thanked her for the information and told her to not make Bankotsu mad or distrust her. He told her that if she found out any new information, to tell him. He also confided in her that he would tell her more about the plan the next time they talked. He promised that no harm would come to her or her family before taking his departure.
"Did you hear me?"
"Huh?" Kikyo asks as she turns to look at him.
"Uh oh, looks like those robbers hit your head pretty hard on the concrete," Bankotsu mockingly says as he leans up in his seat. Kikyo glares at him before looking down to eat her food. "Anyways, I said that the doctors told me that you can leave tomorrow. You will be staying with me."
"But what abou-"
"You will be staying with me. End of the discussion," Bankotsu states. Kikyo was going to open her mouth for a retort but pauses. 'This would be the perfect opportunity for me to gain information about Bankotsu and what he does.'
"And before you think of trying to escape and tell anyone about who I am and what I did, I will be having one of my brothers watching over you at all times."
"Wouldn't dream of it," she coldly responds as she dips her fork into her food.
"Better not. Because if I think for a second that you're planning on being a snitch," Bankotsu starts to say but pauses as he stares at Kikyo with a threatening look in his eyes. "I'll make you wish that you were dead. Are we clear?"
Kikyo stares at him with slight fear but confidence in her eyes. "Crystal."

With Naraku
~Flashback~
"Hey babe," Jakotsu greets as he walks into Naraku's apartment. He gives his boyfriend a kiss on the cheek before taking off his coat.
"Hey," Naraku responds back as he closes the door.
"Look what I got us, red wine," Jakotsu gushes as he shows him the bottle.
"Nice," Naraku says with a smirk as he grabs the bottle and walks off to the kitchen. After hanging his coat on the coat racket, Jakotsu follows after him.
"So how are your sister and her son doing?" Jakotsu asks.
"She's okay. They were finally able to take Kazushi home yesterday," Naraku explains as they walk into the kitchen. "She sent me a picture, I'll show you it in a few."
"I can't wait to see him. I bet he looks like Kagome."
"Hardly. He looks like his father, but he might have her attitude," Naraku says as he sets the bottle of wine on the marble island before walking to the white cabinet next to his stove. "Hey, how about you go relax. I'll bring out the wine in a few."
"Sounds good," Jakotsu states with a smile. He gives his boyfriend a peck on the lips before walking out the room.
"So, what did you do today?" Jakotsu yells as he walks across the hallway and into the black and teal living room. He walks towards the couch and takes a seat. He glances behind him before leaning over and looking through the files and mail on the coffee table.
"Nothing really. I had no new cases," Naraku says as he walks across the hall as well with a glass of red wine in each hand. Jakotsu leans back and smiles at him as he hands him a glass.
"Thanks," he says before bringing the glass to his lips. Naraku smiles as he sits down on the couch and takes a sip of his wine as well.
"What did you do today?" Naraku asks as he sets his glass down on the coffee table.
"I sketched a few dresses," Jakotsu states as Naraku put a hand on the side of his neck. "I was hoping to send them to Kagome and see if she would like to model some."
"That would be nice," Naraku states as he tilts his head and gives his boyfriend a kiss. Jakotsu kisses him back before pulling away and taking another sip of his drink.
"You're being affectionate tonight," Jakotsu comments as he sets his glass down on the coffee table too.
"You could say that," Naraku responds with a shrug. "But before we take our night into the next room," he says as Jakotsu leans forward to kiss his neck.
"Hmm?"
"I have a question for you," he says, causing Jakotsu to automatically pull away.
"What is it?" He asks with a raised brow. 'Wait, is he going to ask me to marry him? Oh my gosh! What am I going to do? What if-'
"I just want to know why you're such a liar?" Naraku calmly asks.
"What?" Jakotsu questions in shock as he leans back further and stares at his boyfriend with a betrayed look on his face. "What-"
"Cut the bullshit, Jakotsu. I know everything. I know who you're working for, who you are, what you have done," Naraku states as he stares into Jakotsu's eyes. Jakotsu goes to pull away from Naraku's grasp, but Naraku's grip on his neck makes it hard.
"Naraku, stop. You're hurting me!"
"Answer my question, Jak," Narkau growls as his nails dig into his skin.
"Please," Jakotsu pleads. "Let me explain. I didn-"
"You're a liar," Naraku growls as he leans forward. "And you're going to-fuck!" Naraku shouts as he places a hand to his forehead; Jakotsu had headbutted him.
'I have to get out of here,' Jakotsu frantically thinks. 'He won't let me explain. He might kill me!'
Before Naraku could react, Jakotsu had pinched a certain nerve in his neck, causing him to limply fall off the couch and onto the floor; he hit his head on the coffee table in the process.
Jakotsu quickly stands up and runs out the living room. He pauses as he stretched out a hand to grab the door handle, he glances behind him with small tears in his eyes.
Everything was ruined. Since Naraku knew, that meant that his father knew and that wasn't good.
'Bankotsu ruined everything!' Jakotsu angrily thinks. 'I should have left when I had the chance. I have to tell Bankotsu and hopefully afterwards, I can tell Naraku that I wasn't using him. That I do love him. '
"I'm sorry Naraku," Jakotsu says as he turns the doorknob and opens the door, only to be met with Makoto Higurashi, wearing his general's uniform, and five men wearing black shirts, cargo pants, and boots.
"Where are you going, Jakotsu?" Makoto sarcastically asks as he roughly grabs Jakotsu's shoulder and shoves his face into the wall.
From his spot on his floor, Naraku hears his lover, screaming in agony.
"Please! No! LET ME EXPLAIN! PLEASE! STOP! NARAKU! HELP ME! PLEASE! HEL-NO!"
Naraku closes his eyes; there was nothing that he could do.
"Naraku, are you okay?" He hears his father asks as he walks into the living room. "Naraku."
"Naraku!"
"Huh?" Naraku asks, snapping out of his daydream.
"Go home, you're sleepy," Sota says from his spot diagonal from him.
"No, I'm good," Naraku says as he leans back and cracks his back while stretching.
"What did I say brother? That's an order," Sota taunts with a grin. "If you don't leave now, I'm telling dad that you're overworking yourself."
"Why are you such a brat," Naraku snaps as he glares at his younger brother.
"I get it from your mother, ohhhh! Wait no, that doesn't make sense," Sota says with a furrow of the brow. Naraku shakes his head before standing up.
"I'm going to get some coffee, want any?" He asks as walks towards the door.
"Yeah, you know what I like," Sota says as he turns around in his chair and starts typing on his keyboard. His brother nods before opening the door and walking out of the office. He walks down the hall, however, as he passes a specific door he pauses; Jakotsu was in that room.
He sighs as he runs his fingers through his hair.
'If only things were different,' he thinks before shaking his head and continuing his journey down the hallway.

The Next Day
With Suikotsu
"Bankotsu," Suikotsu calls out as he walks into his younger brother's apartment. When he doesn't get a response, he calls his name again. "Bankotsu! Where are you?"
He closes the door and walks towards the living room. He walks inside and sees a woman sitting on the couch with headphones plugged into her laptop and ears. He walks towards her and taps her shoulder. The woman loudly groans in response before taking her headphones out.
"What do you want Ban-"she starts to say as she turns around but pauses when she sees who it is. "Who are you?" She questions as she sits up.
"Who are you?" Suikotsu asks with a raised brow and a cross of the arms.
"I'm Kikyo," Kikyo cautiously states. She sighs before holding out her hand.
Suikotsu nods as he shakes it. "Suikotsu. Is my brother here?"
"Bankotsu? He went out for a while. He said that there was some business that he had to handle."
"Typical," Suikotsu mumbles as he runs his fingers through his hair. "Well, when he comes back, tell him that I stopped by."
"Is this about Kagome?" Kikyo asks as she tilts her head.
"Yeah," Suikotsu states slowly. "How did-"
"I overhead Bankotsu discussing that he wanted her, dead," Kikyo explains. "It's kinda how I ended up here."
"Bankotsu hates when people ruin his plans," Suikotsu states as he rubs the back of his neck.
"I can tell," Kikyo mumbles as she leans over and grabs the remote.
Suikotsu sighs as he looks at Kikyo; he felt bad for her. She was now involved into a life that wasn't designed or beneficial towards her. It was a life of bloodshed and secrets.
'I need to stop being a softie who tries to solve everyone's problems,' he thinks as he takes a seat on the empty side of the couch. He clears his throat as he gets comfortable.
"What's this?" He asks causing Kikyo to look at him and raise a brow before telling him.
They continued to watch television for what felt like hours. After an hour of watching a reality tv show, Suikotsu had order them some Mexican food.
They had a good time eating tacos and laughing at each other jokes; overall, they were having fun. Something that neither of them have enjoyed in a long time.

With Kagome
"Push, Kagome! Push!"
"Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"
"Stop! Stop!"
Kagome falls back onto the blue blanket covering the hard wood floor.
"She's out!"
Kagome smiles as stares at the cabin's ceiling. However, her smile turns into a frown at the woman's next words.
"She's not breathing."
"What do you mean? No, no, no! She has to be okay!" Kagome screams as she sits up on her elbows and stares at the woman holding her bloody, quiet, newborn. Tears run down her red face as she stares at the silent baby. "Please! You have to help her! Please!"
"Kagome, I-"
"You have to help her," Kagome states as she leans up and stares into dark brown eyes of the women in front of her. "Please."
"Kag-"
"Kagome!"
"Ahhhh!" Kagome screams as she sits up.
"Whoa! Chill!" Inuyasha states as he sits on the edge of the couch and places his hands on Kagome's shoulders. Kagome catches her breath as she stares into his worried eyes.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah," Kagome states uncertainly as she places a hand on her stomach. She rubs it before looking back at her husband. "I just, it was a dream."
"About what?" Inuyasha asks as he rubs her shoulders.
"I, I don't know," Kagome tells him. "All I remember is that there was a baby, it was a girl I think, and she wasn't breathing."
Inuyasha continues to stare at her, worriedly, as she speaks.
"You don't think it's our baby, do you? What if it is-"
"Hey, hey, deep breaths. In and out," Inuyasha slowly coaches her.
Kagome sighs and does as told. After a minute, she had calmed herself and the twins.
"You okay now?"
"Yeah, it just felt so real," Kagome says as she runs her hands through her hair. "Inuyasha what if-"
"Nothing is going to happen to our babies, you hear?" Inuyasha asks her. "I promise."
Kagome shakily nods as she lays her head against his shoulder. "It just felt so real."
Inuyasha sighs as he lays his head on top of hers and rubs her back.
"Hey, how about when we get back from lunch, you take a bath and relax for the rest of the day. I'll take care of Kazushi."
"You sure?" Kagome asks as she pulls away to look into his eyes. "It's Kazushi."
"Keh, I can handle my son until he goes to sleep," Inuyasha states with a cockily smirk.
"Right," Kagome says as she gives him a look. "But a hot bath does sound good, especially with a lot of bubbles and the jets on my back. Uh, I can't wait!"
Inuyasha chuckles as he helps her stand up. "Well let's go then. The quicker we go there and eat, the quicker we can come back here, and you can relax."
"We let's go!" Kagome shouts in glee, causing her husband to roll his eyes.
"I'll go get your purse, the car is already outside. Meet you there," Inuyasha tells her as he turns to walk away but Kagome grabs his hand, stopping him in his tracks. "Yeah?"
"Thanks for calming me down."
"It's no problem, Kagome," Inuyasha states. "You were just having a bad dream. We all have them."
Kagome silently nods in response. Inuyasha kisses her head and squeezes her hand before letting her hand go and walking out the room.
Kagome sighs as she runs her fingers through her hair before placing a hand on her stomach. She lets out a small grasp before grinning as she feels aa kick. "That's new. Can't wait to tell daddy about your new trick."
She giggles as she starts to walk out the room. She pauses in the door way, turns around, and stares at her spot on the couch.
"It was just a bad dream," she whispers to herself as she feels another kick.
"But it felt so real."
She shakes her head before turning back around and walking out the living room.

"What's he mad about," Rin asks as Inuyasha stomps down the hallway.
"Because I won our bet," Kagome says with a grin as she fills her bowl up with homemade beef ramen noodles.
"What bet?" Rin asks as she walks to the kitchen table and throws her bridal magazines down once she reaches the table.
"On the twin's gender," She explains as she grabs a fork before walking towards her future sister-in-law. "Before we went to see Kaede, we did a last confirmation on our bet. Inuyasha decided to change his answer at the last minute, resulting into me changing me answer, which I had no problem with because I wanted to change my answer anyway."
"You two are so childish," Rin tells her with a smirk, causing Kagome to giggle as she walks towards the table and sets down her food; they both take a seat in their designated spot. "So, what are you having?"
"I'm having-"
