Honkai Impact 3rd : The Next Reality

Chapter 7 : Normality?

Date : Friday, July 25, 2553

Tendou's Perspective

"Alright Tendou, now just crack an egg, and juggle the egg yolk between the two shells." Reshia ordered.

It was early in the morning, about an hour before class would begin. As she promised day prior, Reshia was teaching me how to cook, and holy hell was it hard. Reshia wasn't even doing any physical work, she was just sitting off on the sides, spectating everything. Like she did every morning, she was going to make an egg-white omelet, with the only difference being that I'm the one doing the cooking.

"It's not hard splitting the yolk from the whites, but there has to be a less tedious and faster way!" I whined.

"Technically there is." Reshia answered.

"You can actually use an empty water bottle to suck up the egg yolk, but I'd rather you split it the traditional way. You won't have a water bottle with you everywhere you know?"

"I mean, you're correct on that last statement, but who says that I'm going to cook somewhere with no accessible bottles?"

Reshia just laughed. Eventually, I managed to split an egg yolk from the whites, but now I have to do it with two more eggs. I grabbed another egg and cracked it against the bowl. I broke the shell gently as to not let the yolk from falling into the bowl of egg whites. Cracking the second egg, I actually got the whites to spill through the crack, emptying the egg of everything but the yolk. The third egg, however, was a bit unlucky.

"Double egg yolk?!" Reshia exclaimed.

"That's pretty rare. Consider yourself lucky Tendou. Now then, have fun splitting two egg yolks at once!"

"What the- how the hell is this lucky if I got twice the workload?!" I reprimanded.

Groaning, I went through the trouble of splitting the two egg yolks from the whites. It took much longer, but I still succeeded. Reshia finally stood up and threw the egg yolks away.

"Alright, now season the egg-whites with as much salt and pepper as you want."

I went towards tiny bowl of kosher salt and grabbed a large pinch of it before sprinkling on the egg-whites. I grabbed the pepper mill, twisting the top of it to rain crushed grains of peppers on the whites. Using a whisk, I mixed the egg-whites with the seasonings in it for a minute.

"Once you're done with that, heat your stove to medium-high heat. Next, you can either use butter or pour olive oil onto the pan. After you use whatever you desire, let the pan heat up for a bit before pouring the eggs." Reshia listed.

I set aside the eggs for now and put the pan on the stove. Turning the heat to medium-high, I grabbed a large spoon of butter and plopped it on the pan. The pan took a bit to heat up, but the butter started to melt soon. That was the queue for me to pour the egg whites. The eggs took roughly 4 minutes to cook, but I managed to cook them. As an added bonus, I decided to place the turkey bacon inside the omelet to have two things in one. Finally, after plating the omelet, I began eating.

"Congratulations Tendou. You made yourself an omelet."

"It doesn't really feel like an achievement." I admit.

"I know. Cooking seems difficult to do, but it's really not, at least for basic dishes like these. I can help you do harder dishes when we have time, but for easier dishes, I think you can rely on the internet."

I chowed down on the omelet. Because of the lack of ingredients to the usual omelet, it wasn't as good, but it was still passible. Soon, Reshia would clean my plate and both of us would head to the school building. It's been a week since I arrived here, and a couple days since I went to class. However, I don't feel at home yet at all. In fact, for some reason, this place just feels like another place, kind of like London. I don't know, maybe I just need to give myself another week or two.

"As much as I regret this Tendou, but I have somewhere busy to attend to during today's lunch, so you're going to have to get food on your own." Reshia informed me.

"I see, well, that's a bummer then." I said.

Reshia and I headed towards our first class. This class was not one I was looking forward to. Kyle the jackass was in this class, and the class was also difficult due to needing prior knowledge. Because Reshia and I left early in the morning, we were the first in the classroom. I sat next to the window, and Reshia followed suit. I wasn't fond of sitting next to the window. Especially when it's sunny, the light rays get in the way of your vision, and sometimes it makes things too dark to see. Why did I sit here then? Reshia. She was fond of sitting next to the window, so I'm doing this for her. I'm also doing this to eliminate more seats for Kyle to avoid me, but that doesn't matter much.

Everyone eventually arrived in class, with Kyle arriving with a girl hugging him.

"That night was such a wonderful night Kyle!" The girl said.

"Hehe, you know it baby." Kyle bloviated.

"Just wait until we do it again, because that wasn't even my maximum!"

Kyle and the girl kissed each other before the girl left the classroom. A majority of the people inside the class began rushing over to Kyle, spilling out jealousy, thirst, and whatever the fuck Kyle probably wanted them to express. Professor Esponoza, who was already in the classroom organizing her stuff, was agitated at the ruckus that Kyle, by technicality, didn't create. Still though, it caused her to be angry enough to command everyone to go back to their seats. I was fortunate enough for another girl to take the seat next to me, but Reshia wasn't as fortunate enough. Kyle decided to take the seat behind her, much to her annoyance. He was definitely going to flirt with her. Obviously, I don't want him to because Reshia is clearly annoyed, but there's nothing I can really do.

Class began once the bell rang. Today was pretty noisy. For some reason, there was a lot of whispering going around the classroom. There was whispering during all of my classes yesterday too, but it was happening more today. With everyone being spread apart, it was difficult to decipher what everyone was whispering about, though with the poorly hidden stares at both Reshia and I, I think I know what it was about.

"Seems like you're a popular one today." Lessica taunted.

"Or should I say that I'm the popular one?"

"You can hear what they're saying?" I asked.

"No, but think about it. They're staring at both you and Reshia, the only two people on that mission. I pulled some wack shit that no one would have expected, so of course, you would be the talk of the week. That being said, I can't tell if your popularity is negative or positive."

"Well, I don't mind the popularity, but it'll probably get annoying quickly. I think the popularity is probably negative by the way."

"What makes you think that?"

"Everyone's talking about it in whispers. When something of positive popularity comes up like the noble family or Kyle, everyone is willing to talk about out loud. For me, I'm just getting whispers."

"Good point."

The whispers continued on for a while, with no stop. To my own surprise, Professor Esponoza didn't try to stop all the whispers. I think she's intrigued by them actually, considering that she sometimes stops her lectures short to hear them. I feel like I'm about to be bombarded with shit I don't want to answer today. I want to blame Lessica for this, but I think it's more my fault for these rumors thanks to my incompetence during Wednesday's mission. I feel like the more I stay here, the more I'm going to attract attention to myself, and Lessica. Not really a bad thing in concept, but Lessica begs otherwise. The only one not invested in these rumors were Kyle, probably because he doesn't give a damn, believes they're fake, or he's just too busy trying to flirt with Reshia. Probably both.

The first class came and went. Reshia and I headed to our next class. Reshia was relieved to finally be away from Kyle, even if she was going to have to deal with him and Tobias later. Outside in the hallway, more students whispered more shit as I passed by, so the rumors were definitely something about me. Both of us headed to Professor Palma's class. Upon entering, Professor Palma already made an attempt to flirt with me, which I shot down immediately. She went on her rant again, but I've learned to ignore it. To my surprise, Desmond was already in the classroom with his head down on a desk.

"Desmond, what's wrong with you?" I question him.

Desmond lifted his head up. He had bags under his eyes. Well, I guess that justifies things now.

"I came back from a mission not too long ago, and I haven't gotten a wink of sleep at all." He groaned.

"Tough." I replied back.

I had a similar experience. When I got back from my mission from Wednesday, I couldn't sleep. The only difference is that I couldn't sleep because of the death trauma. Desmond has probably gotten used to it by now, so I think he just had an extremely busy mission. The class bell rang to signify the beginning of class. I noticed something strange. A good part of the class was missing today. I think roughly 40% of us were gone. The most plausible reason would be the missing students were on a mission, but when Professor Palma called everyone's name out, she marked some students as absent, while marking some as off in a mission. I guess it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things though.

Professor Palma went through her lesson as she did, but again, like the previous class, rumors were running rampant. Unlike Professor Esponoza, Professor Palma wasn't intrigued by the rumors as she told many people to quiet down. Poor Desmond fell asleep throughout the entire lesson. I mean, he probably wouldn't have learned anything new to him, but he probably hasn't gotten hold of any rumors. At this point, Reshia was getting hold of the rumors. During the first class, she was too busy dealing with Kyle to participate with the rumor mill. Reshia was definitely uncomfortable with these rumors, probably because they included her. Again, I couldn't hear what these rumors were, but maybe it's best if I didn't.

"Class is almost over my students! Anyone willing to share what they are planning for the weekend?" Professor Palma cheerfully asked.

No one answered back, too busy with the rumors. What I'm surprised about is how these rumors can keep people busy for 2 hours! Professor Palma mellowed down from her cheerful persona.

"What are you all going on about? I've been noticing that many of you keep whispering about something? What's going on?"

No one opened up to talk about it, but someone decided to finally stand up and walk to Professor Palma, spilling the rumors. Professor Palma was, by no one's surprise, shocked at the rumor. Again, I don't know what these rumors are, but if it has anything to do with Wednesday, then I'm going to have to go through a lot today. Then again, probably not since no one is really going to talk to me beside people I already know.

"Tendou's schizophrenic?" Professor Palma yelled.

To the dismay of everyone, people groaned when she revealed the rumor out loud. Professor Palma rushed towards my seat, lifting everything up and checking everything about me. Discomfort showered down as she inspected me.

"Careful Professor Palma! He might attack you with his "special powers."." A student warned.

"Special powers?! So he's schizophrenic and has special powers?!"

A majority of everyone nodded their heads.

"People say that his powers only come out when he changes personas, so be careful."

So that's the rumor everyone is spreading. The rumor is that I'm schizophrenic, and have special abilities…I mean, they're half right I guess. I don't know if having another person living inside of you can be considered schizophrenia, but them saying that me changing personas to use my powers isn't off. Pretty close to the ballpark actually.

The class bell rang, signifying the end of 2nd class and the beginning of lunch. Desmond was still asleep, dead on his desk. I don't know if I should wake him up or just let him sleep, though Reshia would do my job for me when she woke him up.

"Huh- what the fuck?" Desmond murmured.

"Desmond, class just finished. It's lunchtime now." Reshia informed.

"Really? That quickly?" Desmond stood up as he drooled.

"I'm going to use this time to fly back home and sleep."

"Make sure you at least eat something." Reshia advised.

"Don't worry, I will."

"Hey Desmond!" Professor Palma called out.

"Did you know that-."

I rudely interrupted Professor Palma by slamming my palm on her mouth and holding it there. She was definitely going to spill the rumor out to him. I don't want anybody else, especially a Schariac to know in order to protect Lessica's identity. 4 Kaslanas, and Darwin already know about what I can do, and sort of know Lessica indirectly. I don't want another powerful person to know if it's going to bite me later down the line later!

"It's nothing Desmond. Just go back home and get the rest you need." I quipped.

Desmond noticed that something was off, but he was too tired to even bother with it right now. He waved it off as if it was nothing, and left the classroom.

"Alright then. See you both later." Desmond bid farewell.

Reshia waved her hand and I let my own off of Professor Palma's mouth. My palm was covered in her saliva much to my discomfort. Thankfully, Reshia came up with a handkerchief to wipe it off. I don't think I'll get rid of the smell until I reach a sink though.

"Why'd you cover my mouth Tendou? I was just going to tell him about your-."

"Exactly. And that's why I prevented you from doing so Professor."

Professor Palma was angry, but she mellowed out again when a sudden realization crashed upon her. She let out a smug smirk as she caught me on the corner.

"Oh…so you're not denying that those rumors are true." Professor Palma laughed.

…..she caught me. God, how do I explain this to her? I can lie obviously, but she'll probably be stubborn enough to deny the "lie". Reshia is also here with me, and she seems to be a truthful person. She'll probably be more evidence for Professor Palma to believe the rumor. Maybe if I make my words sophisticated, it will confuse her?

"Um…well…..the rumors are both right and wrong at the same time so….."

That was an awful attempt. I'm a fucking dumbass. I may have just endangered me. I'm so fucking dead! And to think that all of this started due to my incompetence.

"…..that is an odd way of admitting the truth." Professor Palma admitted.

"I guess I'll just figure which is true and false for myself then."

Professor Palma left Reshia and I and went back to her desk. She went back to organizing some files while we both left her classroom. Outside, Reshia bowed before me before leaving to go do her thing. I guess I'm all alone for lunch again. Isn't it a Friday today? I guess my limits for food are broken for today.

"Lessica, where do you want to go to today?" I asked her.

"You're able to eat whatever you want to today right? Open up your phone and search up some restaurants that we can go to while on your way to the bus."

I pulled my phone out from my pocket as I walked outside the school campus. I scrolled through a list of restaurants that showed up on my phone. With my options not as limited for now, I guess I can theoretically go to any restaurant I want. I think it's Lessica that might prevent me from going anywhere.

"Do you see any restaurant that interest you yet?"

"I haven't found anything that has my peak interest, but there was a restaurant that we could go to for a quick bite." Lessica mentioned.

"It's a chain restaurant called Happy Burger. I don't know what it has to offer, but it's not bad to try for ourselves."

Happy Burger? I mean, I guess? The restaurant actually seems pretty close to the school, so I could just walk from here to there. Of course, I could just take the bus for a faster ride, but I got a lot of time to spare.

"So the rumors that everyone is spreading about us….."

"Yeah. They don't make the students pose a threat to us, but it still does so in another way."

"Are you referring to the noble family? Because they would pose a threat to us if they try to attack us."

"I wasn't referring to them. I'm talking about Otto Apocalypse. Our rumors may be slightly vague, but Otto's a smart enough man to decipher them for himself. He may be my enemy, but I can't deny that the man is an unfathomable genius. I'd almost say he's a mastermind! God, admitting that makes me want to vomit."

"Otto. I forgot that he poses a threat to you. Actually, I guess he poses a threat to me as well in some twisted way. How strong is he?"

"I don't know how strong he is physically, or what he's capable of, but what makes him deadly is his brain. Otto is a master at deception, backstabbing, and manipulation. His intelligence allows him to play mind games that he's set to win. So while I don't know if he's physically capable of anything, his mastery in negotiating and lies are deadly as is. If he is capable of something physical, he'll prove to be an unstoppable force."

During our short conversation, I arrived at Happy Burger on foot. The trip took around 15 minutes, including stops. The restaurant was not the biggest restaurant out there, but it was decently big. There were many cars outside, so the restaurant was definitely a popular one. I walked inside the restaurant to see a line of people, both waiting for their food, and waiting to order their food. Standing at the back, I was able to get a look at the billboard menu above. The restaurant had a variety of menu items, more so than a good amount of restaurants. The menu consisted of their beef burgers, but also had things like chicken, pork, and seafood. I've already made my decision, but I need to get Lessica's order.

"Alright Lessica, what do you want to order?"

"I was going to ask you first before I made my order. What do you want?"

"I was planning on getting a Cheddar Bacon Deluxe with Large Fries and a soft drink. You?"

"I was planning on getting the same burger, but I have a few more and different items. I want to buy an order of Large Onion Rings, Large Cheese Curds, Large Fries, a soft drink, and a Large Vanilla Oreo Concrete."

"What the hell Lessica, that's so much!"

"…I was planning on sharing everything, minus the soft drink and fries with you."

"…Oh…Never mind I guess. Since we're sharing stuff, should we just share fries as well?"

"I don't mind. If you want to, we could actually just order a Large Chili Cheese Fries and share them."

"I guess we can. Can't believe I'm about to embarrass myself in public over this order though."

I waited a few more minutes before I made it to the front of the line. Upfront at the cashier register, the cashier greeted me with a highly positive attitude. I'm about to ruin this attitude, aren't I?

"Welcome to Happy Burger, how has your day been going?" The cashier asked.

"It's been going well." I lied.

"How has yours been?"

"Amazing, thank you for asking! What do you want to order?"

"Alright, get ready for a long order. So I want 2 Cheddar Bacon Deluxe burgers, a Large Chili Cheese Fries, Large Onion Rings, Large Cheese Curds, 2 soft drinks, and a Large Vanilla Oreo Concrete. I am so sorry for the long order, if you need me to repeat everything again-."

"Nah, it's fine, I got everything down. I got to say, that's a lot of food for one person. Either you have someone waiting for you, or you just eat good." The cashier complimented.

"Anyways, what size drinks do you want?"

"I want a Large Drink."

"I'll get 2 large drinks."

"Ok then, cash, or credit?"

"Credit."

I pulled out my debit card from my wallet and paid for our lunch. Despite the large order, the price actually came out to be smaller than I expected. Still pretty expensive though. After the cashier checked our order in, she gave us our two large cups. I grabbed them and went to the soda machines.

"What soda do you want Lessica?"

"I'll take a cherry soda ."

I grabbed one of the large cups, filled part of it with ice and poured cherry soda in it. Oddly enough, I was going for a cherry soda too. I filled the other cup cherry soda with before capping both of them and poking them with a straw. I carried my drink back to the waiting line where I was forced to wait another 7 minutes before they called my order. I walked up, placed the drinks on the plastic tray with our food before grabbing it and going to a secluded booth. I sat down before the world turned crimson. Interestingly though, the world is noticeably less crimson than usual. It's an odd change with no known reason for why, but I like this change.

"You better enjoy this meal. I wasted more than I wanted to on this." I threatened Lessica.

"And what if I don't? What are you going to do, break my arms? Besides, you didn't pay for this yourself. It's Otto's bank account, remember?"Lessica scoffed off.

"Oh yeah. Still don't know why he shared his bank account with me."

"Me neither."

I passed Lessica a burger box, a drink, and a fork. I opened my own box, revealing the Cheddar Bacon Deluxe. The burger had 2 flat patties with a slice of cheddar cheese melted in between the two, and another slice on top of the top patty. There were 2 slices of bacon placed in between both patties like a sandwich. Below the bottom patty laid the garden of the burger, consisting of lettuce, tomato, red onions, and 2 pickles. The burger also contained ketchup and mustard.

"The burger is surprisingly not that big as I thought it was. Makes it easier to bite at least."

Lessica chomped down on her burger. She didn't have any excessive reactions, nor did she make any noise besides her quiet chewing, but it was pretty easy to tell that she enjoyed it. Lessica aimed for everything else before I could. She grabbed an Onion Ring, a Cheese Curd, stabbed a Fry, and spooned the Concrete before I even ate anything! I would call her a fatty, but not only would she probably kill me ten times over, she doesn't gain any weight from this. She grabbed a napkin, using it to wipe her mouth before taking a sip of her drink.

"This place is pretty good. Food is delicious, price is reasonable, service is fast, and best of all, location is pretty close to the campus. We should go here more often." Lessica remarked.

"Really? Well, I can't guaranteed going here often though. Diet says otherwise, but I guess we can go here every Friday if possible." I told Lessica.

I grabbed the burger with both hands and chomped down on it. Like Lessica said, the burger was delicious. It's not the best thing I've eaten, but it's really, really good! I went for the sides next, and again, they were amazing. I scooped some of the Concrete and ate it. Again, delicious. If it weren't for my diet, I'd probably come here pretty often.

"Ok, this is pretty marvelous." I complimented the food.

Both of us continued to eat our meal, sharing the sides and the Concrete. As stated previously, the meal was great, but I just couldn't get something off my mind. It wasn't the rumors, but something Lessica said on Wednesday. Her promise on giving humans another chance. I know she said that she doesn't back down on her words, but it still feels random. Did she actually mean it, or did she just say that to cheer me up?

"Hey Lessica, about that promise you made 2 days ago, were you actually serious about that? Or were you trying to lighten the mood?"

Lessica stopped her mouth from biting down on her burger. She backed away from it before making eye contact with me. Lessica was dead serious, literally. Her eyes looked like they wanted to kill me despite her expression remaining blank.

"Do you doubt me that much?" She asked.

"I don't blame you for having some doubt, but what causes you to have some now?"

"It's just…..you have such a vendetta against everyone that seeing you give them a second chance is jarring and out of place, you know?" I explained.

"I just don't see you doing something like this within a coin flip."

Lessica stabbed her fork through a chili fry and shoved it in her mouth. She didn't talk while munching on the fry. With a napkin, Lessica wiped the tiny bits of chili smeared against her mouth. I hadn't bitten anything in anticipation for her answer. A part of me wants her to actually go with her promise, but it's so unlikely that she will.

"You were right when you had some doubts." Lessica admitted.

"Originally, when I said that I'll give humans another chance, I only said that to cheer you up. However, yesterday I actually gave it some thought. Back when I threatened those survivors, a grief-stricken memory reared its ugly head back at me. That's when your words hit me truly. I've met some terrible people long ago, and I've let the judgments of those few become my view for everyone. In reality, everyone is pretty different, aren't they? We have Reshia, who's an amiable, caring, and pure-hearted person. Ino, who is nurturing, compassionate, and a worry-wart. There are some diamonds in a sea of rocks. So after some thinking, maybe I should give humanity another chance."

Lessica's long speech gave me some relief, but I still had a dark lingering feeling. I feel like she'll go back to her former self if anything bad happened. I don't even need her to say that for me to even know. Still, I'm glad she decided to reconsider her words.

"I want to move on to another topic, you know, the rumors?" Lessica mentioned.

"Oh, the rumors. I mean, to be fair, they're pretty close to home." I argued.

"Pretty much. There's no going back that everyone has figuratively found out about me. In hindsight, it wouldn't affect me if the students knew who I was and that I exist, but its Otto that we have to worry about."

"You think he's figured out by now? I mean, you did say that he was a shrewd person."

"There's no doubt about that. I feel like he's definitely caught on to us by now. However, I'm willing to question how much he knows. If someone had explained to him every single change that happens when you and I swap positions, then he's going to gaze at us from afar."

"Shit…about that. I think Reshia might have explained that to Otto on Monday. We did get bombarded with questions about last Saturday on Monday. No doubt Otto himself had questions, which is why he called Reshia during lunch. In fact, I think Otto might have called her again to interrogate her about the mission. Luckily, I don't think she'll have as much evidence."

"She won't, but what's stopping him from calling everyone else?"

"Damn. We're at a stalemate. Is there a solution to get the Overseer's attention away from us for a while?"

I finished the last of my burger after saying my last sentence. Lessica, who had already finished her burger went to the Concrete, which had melted a bit. I took an Onion Ring and dipped it in some ketchup while trying to think of a solution. With the odds turned against us, it's likely that we don't have any guaranteed solution. Lessica shoved the Concrete in my face, messaging me to finish the rest, which I gladly did.

"We don't have any solutions in mind right now." I admitted while scooping the last of the Concrete.

"Correct, but I'll still think of a way out of this." Lessica gloated.

The both of us finished the rest of the sides. Overall, not a bad meal. Lessica wiped her mouth clean before retreating back into the mental realm. Within the time that she appeared and disappeared, most of the seats have filled up with the customers that came after me. After taking out the trash and putting the plastic tray back, I left. I still had roughly 55 minutes left with this break. The campus was pretty close, so I could just go back to my dorm, but what would I do?

"55 minutes left until class resumes. Where are you headed to now?"

"I was thinking of heading back to my dorm, but there isn't much to do there."

"…Want to take a relaxing bath?"

"…..Fine, I'll go back and sit on the bathroom floor while you sit in the bathtub."

"What's stopping you from joining? The bath is big enough to fit the two of us, and since you're already in the bathroom in the first place, you might as well join. After all, we shower together anyway so there's not a big difference."

"Fuck off!"

I ended up walking back towards the campus, but upon arrival, Professor Sarah was waiting at the gates of the school. She immediately walked towards me when she saw me.

"There you are Tendou." Professor Sarah greeted.

"I was worried that you would come back late."

"Why were you waiting here for me? Shouldn't you be off in your own lunch break?" I asked the Professor.

"I should be, and technically am, but I was unfortunately tasked to something else that's getting in the way." She explained.

"See, we actually have a daycare at our base. It's mostly filled with very young children who are dropped off by Valkyrie parents when they go out on a job or are too busy with school to nurture them during the day. Usually we have some people who watch over them, but one of them had to go out to do something quickly, so I had to step in temporarily."

"Ok, but what does that have to do with me?"

"I was thinking if you could substitute for me. I have something else to do, so I can't busy myself with children. Plus, I don't think I'm a good caretaker."

"I understand you having something else to do, but what makes you think I'm a better caretaker than you? There's definitely someone better than me!"

"I know, I know, but you're the first person I could think off."

"Think off?! I don't think I should be the first one that comes to your mind when thinking about watching over the kids!"

"Ok, but can you please watch over them for now? There's no one else, and the children are left alone right now! I just need someone quick, before the children do something reckless."

"….Fine. I got nothing else to do anyway."

Reluctantly, I followed Professor Sarah, who was running towards the daycare in a hurry. The daycare was located all the way to the east of the Schicksal area, which would make it a bit northeast to the campus. The daycare building was nowhere close to being as big as the school building. It was much shorter in length and height. Despite this, the daycare still had two floors. Either the second floor is for something else, or people be horny as fuck.

"Aw man, I really wanted that bath." Lessica moaned.

"You can get that bath later. I'm still not joining you though. Actually, why are you even comfortable with taking both a bath and shower with me anyways?"

"I've been with you for a long time now. I've seen your body naked many times before, so I've gotten pretty comfortable with it."

"Ok, but that doesn't mean I'm comfortable with it! Only reason why I let you come along with me is because you force yourself, and I can't do shit! I'm forced to adapt to something I don't want to adapt too!"

"I had to get used to seeing your naked body a long time ago, so now I'm making you do the same."

"But did I force you to do that though?"

"…no."

"Exactly."

Professor Sarah led me up the stairs to the second floor. Passing by some rooms on the first floor, there were rooms full of, about 20 kids. Up in the second floor, more room full of kids were scattered. I guess they are a lot of Valkyries with kids. We walked towards a room that had 16 kids. Without Professor Sarah in watch, the kids were chaotic. Some were throwing toys, dolls, and stuffed animals across the room, some were drawing on the walls, and some were crying for unknown reasons.

"Oh damn! Gone for a few minutes and all hell breaks loose!" Professor Sarah cursed.

Professor Sarah rushed towards the children, stopping the toy throwers first from creating more havoc. She was, how do I put, not contributing to much. By that, I'm saying that her effort worked, then was completely thrown out later when she went to another kid.

"Um…I, uh…don't know what the hell to do?" I muttered.

"Holy hell. I ain't ever since such a chaotic mess in a while. Is this what it's like every day here?" Lessica asked.

"It's like a babysitter's worse nightmare!"

"How do people deal with this without going crazy? Professor Sarah looks like she just wants to get out of here immediately. Her efforts are barely doing anything. How do I even help her?"

"Well, maybe I can help guide you. I have a clue about what you might be able to do."

"What are you going to tell me to do? Slaughter these children?"

"Wha-NO! I'm not going to make you slaughter them! Who the fuck would slaughter kids?!"

"…"

"What?"

"Did you forget when you almost killed those children back in the mission?"

"….oh…..anyways, just follow me."

Lessica ordered me to go deal with the ones drawing on the walls first. In an odd fashion, instead of telling me to just snap the crayons the children were using, Lessica told me to convince the children to draw on paper instead. I don't know how that will work, but here goes nothing.

I walked over to the kids drawing on the wall, trying to awkwardly convince them to draw on the paper instead, but they weren't listening. I tried calling the kids, but I just kept yelling kids instead of saying their actual names because I don't know what their names were. I think my results ended up worse than Professor Sarah's did. So the chaos still continued.

"Damn it, I don't have all the time in the world to deal with this." Professor Sarah fumed.

"I'm sorry to have to force you into this Tendou, but I'm leaving everything in your care."

Professor Sarah bolted out of the room, leaving me alone with the 16 children. The room was still as chaotic as it was before. How the hell am I supposed to calm this room down?

"So the Professor has left me, and I can't do anything." I stated.

Lessica sighed. She sounded a bit defeated, but she still sounded like she had a possible solution to the dilemma.

"Switch with me."

"Switch? But why?"

"I know a way to hopefully get these kids to calm down. It's going to take a lot of my dignity away, but I'd rather lose that than deal with the chaos alongside you."

With no hesitation, I allowed Lessica to take over temporarily. Inside the mental realm, I spectated as Lessica walked over to the drawing kids. She raised her voice to garner the attention of the kids. She went on a lecture, telling the kids how writing on the walls can damage the wall, and ruin it. Lessica continued her lecture by telling the kids how replacing the wall will cost too much, while paper is easily replaceable and inexpensive. The strange thing about her lecture was the soft tone that she used to communicate with the kids. Lessica even kneeled down to get closer to the kids level. Her lecture worked, somehow. I question how the children aren't afraid of the echo filter on my voice, but it doesn't matter I guess. All that matters is that the children were now drawing on paper.

Next, Lessica went towards the chaos that was the kids throwing toys. She walked forward through the chaos, catching everything that was being thrown. Lessica was able to catch every single toy, but she was struggling to hold on to them. Her wobbling made it difficult for her to get down to the kids level, so she went to a corner to lay the toys behind her. The kids followed Lessica, trying to get their toys back. With all the toys set aside, Lessica went on a similar expound to her previous one. This time, she explained how not only throwing toys could damage or break them, but she also explained how throwing toys could also hurt everyone else. Again, she used the same soft tone, except it sounded a bit more rough, and not gentle like last time. Regardless, her message got across to the children, who began apologizing. Lessica soon passed out all the toys back to the children. The kids played with their toys without creating more chaos.

Lastly, Lessica went to cheer up the crying kids. During her process of calming down the other chaos, some kids stopped crying, but not all. In the oddest turn of events, Lessica tried to calm, and cheer the crying children up, using not a soft tone, but a motherly one. Well, not exactly a motherly tone, but something close enough to one. It's difficult to emulate a motherly voice with a masculine voice box. Lessica helped cheer up the children, helping them out with their problems, and slightly pampering them. It worked, but it looked awkward as hell, especially coming from someone like Lessica. Finally, the entire room had calm down.

"Alright, jobs done. You can have your body back now."

Lessica retreated back, allowing me to control my body again. Now I'm technically the one left with the children. At least everything was now lull instead of disorganized. Every now and then, the children would need to help with something which I was able to help with. If I'm being honest, watching over the kids was boring, but seeing them all be happy kind of warms my heart.

"I'll be honest with you, I didn't think you had it in you Lessica. Acting motherly, and making it seem natural too!"

"Understandable. You wouldn't think I'd be able to control the mess considering how I'm usually like, but I've dealt with stuff like this before. I've had to nurture a child for a long time."

"Hmm? You've done this before? Did you have a child or something?"

"Well….yes, but actually no. If you're asking me if I gave birth to my own child, then no. That being said, I did have to raise a child."

"Oh, that's pretty-wait a minute. How did you nurture a child when both of us have always been together? Did you actually nurture one using my body?!"

"Uh….that is difficult to explain."

So another thing that I'll have to figure out about my past. At least this one Lessica admits that she'll have a difficult time explaining. Still though, Lessica nurturing a child. Sounds a bit bizarre out of context. Still does even with context probably. It doesn't seem like the person watching over these children is returning anytime soon, and I still have 40 minutes. I sat down on a chair, looking at the children. Some of them by now have fallen asleep, while some still doing what they were previously doing. I carried the sleeping ones to a more comfortable place to rest.

"Aww, look at who's being a father." Lessica teased.

"Oh haha. Look at the one who was being a mother earlier." I retorted back.

While both Lessica and I teased each other, someone tugged on my pants. Looking down, I saw two children, both bearing snow-white hair, though one had purple eyes while the other had green eyes. Other than the slightly different hairstyles and height, the two children, a boy, and a girl looked almost the same. It was almost as if they were twins.

"Excuse me sir?" The girl, the taller of the two asked.

"What's your name?"

"My name?" I said.

"It's Tendou."

" Tendou, do you have a child of your own? You seem to work pretty well with everyone." The little girl asked.

I knelt down to the girl's level. She was a bit taller than everyone else, but I was still a juggernaut when compared to these children. The boy who was with her hid behind the girl as I kneeled down to face them.

"I don't actually. I just have a friend who does, and she teaches me how to care for children since she has one of her own." I informed the girl.

"Also, might I get to know your names? It would be rude to call you two as boy and girl."

"My name is Alexia, and this is my twin brother, Verity."

Alexia moved to the side a bit to show Verity, who was still shy to face me. He desperately tried to hide behind his sister again.

"I'm sorry for his behavior. He's a bit shy when meeting new people. Verity's only comfortable when there's another family member close by." Alexia apologized.

"I see." I responded.

I turned my head to face Verity and tried an attempt to make a friendly conversation.

"Hey there little guy. There's nothing to be shy about." I tried to tell Verity.

Verity hid even further behind Alexia. He was sort of frightened.

"But, you look terrifying though." Verity answered.

Alexia chuckled at her twin brother's statement. At the same time, I could hear Lessica unsuccessfully hide her laughter. I just kneeled there like a cup of water that was put inside of a freezer a few hours ago.

"I can't believe that you just got called 'terrifying' by a little kid!" Lessica jeered.

"I can't either. I felt like I just got my humanity rejected from me when he said that." I told Lessica.

"Hahaha…..I mean, in a sense, he isn't wrong!" She sneered.

"I know, and that's the sad part." I commented.

"Alexia, Verity!" Someone yelled from outside the room.

I turned around to see Ino standing outside of the room. She called out their names, so she knew who they were. Was Ino these children's mother? I mean, they all share the same white hair, but unlike the children, Ino had blue eyes. Actually, Alexia shared her eye color with Claudia, but I don't know where the green from Verity came from.

"Aunt Ino!" Alexia called out.

She and Verity ran towards Ino, who hugged her niece and nephew. Aunt Ino huh? So she isn't their parent, but they are still related somehow. Maybe Claudia is their mother? It's possible since her and Alexia share the same eye color. But that asks the question of who the father is.

"Tendou, I didn't expect that you would be here." Ino commented.

"I know, me neither. I came here because Professor Sarah needed someone to watch over these kids until someone else came back." I explained.

"Professor Sarah asked you to do this? Could've thought of a better person if you ask me."

"That's what I've been asking this entire time!"

Ino head patted the two kids, before sending them off to do their own thing. She seemed to be full of joy and happiness looking at the two.

"What did you come here for?" I asked Ino.

"I just wanted to check up on the twins for a bit. I heard from Professor Sarah that she had someone watch over for her when she came rushing towards the school building. She mentioned how hectic the room was after she left, so I came here to make sure that Alexia and Verity were ok." Ino explained herself.

"I was afraid that they would be caught in the trouble of everyone else, but it seems like you managed to calm everything down. I already knew that Professor Sarah asked someone to replace her, but I didn't think it would be you. Heck, I didn't think you had the capabilities to control this room by yourself!"

"I…managed." I lied.

Of course, I really didn't manage the room. Lessica did it all by herself, but explaining that to Ino would be detrimental to Lessica herself, and would be too complicated to explain.

"Those two share the same hair like you, but you're their aunt. Who's children are they then?" I asked.

"They're Claudia's children." Ino answered.

"She doesn't have much time to spend with them since she's busy with the academy, and other small businesses. Not only that, but her muteness makes it hard to communicate with the kids. It makes the relationship with her children a tad bit awkward, though she still loves them in the end."

So Claudia is the mother. I mean, that should have been pretty obvious when looking at Alexia. That being said, the father still remains a mystery. Actually, who would the father be? Claudia is a mute person, and that would seem to detriment her when forging a relation.

"Sadly, the kids grew up without a father. Before they were born, their father left Claudia, henceforth leaving these kids without their biological father. I would be resentful to the father, but many rumors conflict with why the father left. Until I find out what is true or false, I can't really be mad at him yet." Ino informed.

"Oh, I'm sorry." I apologized.

"Don't apologize. Life is pretty unexpected, some things are never meant to work out."

"If it's not invading privacy, do you have any whereabouts as to where the father is?"

"Oh we definitely know where the father is. He's at the academy like all of us are since the father of the twins is Kyle."

"Kyle?!"

"Yep. He and Claudia were in a relationship before, and they did the dirty deed. I can't tell if it was intentional or accidental, but Kyle got Claudia pregnant. I don't know how he feels about his kids, but knowing him, he could probably care less about his children."

I forgot that Kyle and Claudia were in a relationship. Damn, so he's already touched Claudia, and gave her two children to deal with, and left. As if he couldn't be more scum baggy enough! I guess I can't be mad at him though. Maybe Ino is in the right that I can't be mad at him since we don't know how he truly feels.

"Daddy!" A girl yelled.

Outside the door of the daycare room, a tall, black man stood high. He was the same height as me, if not taller. One thing's for sure, this guy is much more muscular than I am. He is legit man meat, nothing else. I don't even think there is an ounce of fat in his body! Other than his bulky physique, the man was bald, and had some stubble forming around his lower face.

"Awww, there's my little girl!" The man cheered, in a gruff, yet gentle voice.

The man lifted his kid up to his face, rubbing his cheek against his kid's cheek. Like Ino earlier, the man was a bundle of joy when with his kid.

"Marcel! It's nice to see you!" Ino greeted.

"Ino! It's a pleasure meeting you!" Marcel greeted back.

Marcel lifted a fist up to Ino, to which she lifted her fist up. They both fist-bumped each other. Marcel, still caring his kid turned to face me.

"And who might you be?" Marcel asked.

"My name is Tendou, nice to meet you Marcel."

"Tendou! It's nice to meet you to man!"

Marcel lifted his fist up again, and like Ino, I lifted my own up to fist bump the man.

"Are you the one in charge of watching these children? I haven't seen you anywhere at all. You must be new on the job then." Marcel voiced.

"I mean, you're not wrong on the new part, but you're wrong on him working here." Ino corrected.

"Tendou here is a new Valkyrie to this academy. He just got asked to watch over these children until the right person comes back. Tendou is actually just a D Rank currently, but he's a special one. Remember that dragon who terrorized London? Tendou actually took part in that mission, and even was the one who killed it too!"

"No way! He killed that dragon? Damn, you really must be special!"

"Yes he is. Maybe a bit too special. He's been getting extremely special treatment from the Overseer. It's led to some to have their questions, myself included.

"Guys, please don't praise me this much. I get that I killed the ouroboros, but that accomplishment has actually bothered me more than it has complimented me."

Marcel and Ino looked at me awkwardly for good reason. Killing the main target of a mission would usually be a positive thing, but with my circumstances, and how the event played out, it's not. I still haven't figured out a way to get a notion off of us yet. I don't think Lessica has either. She would have told me by now.

"Oh, I forgot." Marcel mentioned.

Marcel went back out to the door and brought in a box of different types of chips. Like bees, the kids swarmed towards Marcel, begging him to hand them their desired chips. It was kind of cute to see the children flock towards him, but for some reason, I started to get these weird migraines. My head began to hurt, and vivid flashes of memories came and went. I thought these would be memories of my past, but the memories were those of this daycare. Marcel and Ino were there, but something was different. Both of them were wearing different clothes then they are now, and they had different expressions. Marcel was extremely serious and was running out of the daycare. Ino walked out, but she turned to face me. Unlike her usual cheery attitude, she seemed uncomfortable even seeing me. What makes this difficult to even decipher was that these memories came in fragmented stills. So every time I see something, it was a still picture with no motion. The hell are with these memories? They aren't something of the past at all. Sure, I know nothing about my past, but the daycare is still relatively new to me, and both Marcel and Ino have only recently met me. If it's not the past, then what the hell is this?

"Tendou? What's wrong?" Ino asked.

The migrants and memories fragments stopped once Ino called out to me. Reasonably, she was worried for my wellbeing, seeing how I was grasping the left side of my head for seemingly no reason.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I lied.

Ino definitely didn't buy my lie. Honestly, no one can really buy the lie of someone saying they're fine when they were clearly expressing some pain. I don't even know why I made an attempt to lie about that!

"You're clearly not." She spouted.

"Yeah, you're right. Just a random migraine, but it's gone now."

"Are you sure it's gone? Maybe you should rest a bit before class starts again."

"…Maybe I should."

I was about to leave when I realized that I still technically had to take care of the children. Marcel and Ino may be here, but they aren't staying permanently. I'm stuck here until whoever's job this is, comes back. Not that I have anything against it. I don't mind having to watch the children. What's the worse that could happen? If anything comes up, I can just have Lessica deal with it.

After a while, Ino and Marcel left, leaving me alone with the children. Luckily, the chips seemed to have delayed the possible chaos that could have followed. Sitting backwards on a chair, I stared back off into the distance trying to figure out what those memory fragments were.

"You seemed occupied with something." Lessica mentioned.

"I am." I answered.

"I don't know why, but when Marcel was passing out the chips, I just suddenly got filled with these weird memoirs or something."

"Huh, you too?"

"Wait, you got those fragments as well? The one with Ino and Marcel, the one with how somber Ino looked?"

"Yeah. I even suffered from random migraines too. It's odd though. I don't remember any of these memories ever happening."

"So you're saying that these memories aren't from the past?"

"No. These things haven't happened at all in our past, and it should be impossible for it to happen."

Lessica was just as confused as I was. Both of us had no clue what the hell those fragments were.

"We'll think about it later. Anyways, I might have a solution for our dilemma. However, I don't think we will be able to pull it off immediately, though we could start today after school."

"Really? You have a plan? Well, let's just hope that it'll work."

As much as I want to execute the plan now, I have someone's shoe to fill in. I'll have to be patient then.

Kyle's Perspective

*DING* *DING* *DING*

The lunch bell. Finally, time to eat! I made the absolutely terrible mistake of skipping breakfast this morning, so I am famished. Luckily, my homies and I bought a reservation for us to eat at today. The restaurant isn't a fancy one like I sometimes eat at for dinner, but the fanciness of a restaurant doesn't matter much to me. If it serves good food, that's enough for me.

"Class dismissed." Professor Connors announced.

Everyone left the class in a hurry, which is understandable. Food is something everyone likes, so we'll try to get to it as fast as possible. That being said, before I leave I confronted Professor Connors.

"You seem livelier this week." I stated.

"Yeah, I've gotten over it now." Professor Connors said.

"Already? Seems kind of odd to me. Usually a lot of people would take more than a week, sometimes more than a month to get over breaking up with a boyfriend. However, I'm glad that you managed to get over it."

"I guess, the relationship wasn't meant to be anyways. I'm too busy teaching you all, and he is too busy with his own things. I'm just glad the breakup was mutual."

I can somewhat relate to Professor Connors. I haven't broken up with any of my girlfriends recently, but I have already once. Not by will of course. I raised my hands to Professor Connors shoulders, resting them on it.

"But hey, if you ever need someone to lay on, I'm here to help you." I told Professor Connors.

Professor Connors smiled, blushing a bit.

"Thank you Kyle."

I'll admit, this is slightly creepy. A student promising to help a teacher seems nice and all, though me putting my hands on her shoulders could give someone different ideas. That being said, I am going for those ideas. I do genuinely want to comfort Professor Connors if she needs it, but damn, is she quite the looker! I wouldn't mind adding her to my list of other girlfriends, and I would especially wouldn't mind bedding her. Hell, her voice is indirectly asking her to be bedded as well. I'm lucky that I can hold my libido back.

"Well, I gotta go now Professor. Have a nice day." I quipped.

Professor Connors waved goodbye as I left the classroom. I ran down the hallways, passing by many fangirls calling my name. Being the nice guy that I am, I saluted them with two fingers, to which they responded with cheers and screams. I'll admit, I didn't initially believe that I would get these many fans, but boy am I glad that I did. Sadly can't date all of them though. Might be some crazy bitches among the crowds. Also, STDs, though I worry about that less.

Running towards the exit, I passed by Reshia, who was giving Tendou a farewell. Reshia, oh Reshia. She decided to choose a newbie over me. I'll make my way into her heart someday before Tendou will. Speaking of Tendou though, those rumors going around concerning him, I wonder if those are actually true. I can't be bothered to talk to Reshia though, or the newbie. Reshia seemed to be occupied with something if she's leaving Tendou, and I couldn't bother much with Tendou.

"Hey Kyle, took you long enough!"

Looking ahead, I saw my homies waiting for me. Kane, Jared, Yosef, Zakariya, and Tobias. Kane was a German dude, standing at 5'7". He had short blonde hair that was curved to his right, and chestnut brown eyes. Kane had a fondness for wearing stuff similar to suits. Suits looked good and all, but god do they restrict movement a lot.

Jared is an American, sporting spiky, dark purple hair, and light brown eyes. His hair was also swiped to the right like Kane, though his hair curved slightly downwards as well. Similar to Kane, Jared has a fondness for a certain type of clothing, this time being hoodies and hats. Again, they looked cool, but it's so damn hot over here! How the hell can he bear the heat? Jared was the tallest of our group, standing at 6'1".

Yosef and Zakariya are both from the Middle East. They were more tan than us because of their heritage. Yosef stood at 5'6" while Zakariya was 5'9". Yosef has blonde hair like Kane, though it was not natural. Naturally, he had black hair, like Zakariya. Yosef had medium length hair, which reached down to his neck. Zakariya had a puffy hairstyle. It was no afro, but the top of his hair was curly and looked like something puffy.

Tobias was the second youngest of the Kaslana family. He was the shortest out of all of us, standing at 5'3". Like everyone in his family, he had white hair, which was slightly spiked up at the top, and grew down to his neck. With him being raised in a noble household, he is most comfortable wearing something fancy, though today, he was wearing a normal gray shirt and some jeans.

"Sorry, just talked to Professor Connors for a bit." I admitted.

"Talking to the Professor ey? Trying to hit on her or something?" Yosef taunted.

"Not then…but you know I'm going to try to tap that later." I smirked.

Everyone laughed, as expected. I think all of us are trying to fuck Professor Connors. I mean, who wouldn't if they got the chance?

"Alright, let's go to the restaurant, I'm starving." Kane mentioned.

All of us left campus and walked towards the air transportation building. Because Tobias and I were rich, we were able to a flying limousine for everyone. I'm not saying that everyone else here isn't rich. Kane is actually the son of a famous DJ in Crescent City, who is highly remarked and is always paid highly. Because of this, Kane actually has impressive DJ skills thanks to his father. Similarly, Jared is the son of the person who owns the Nightingale Palace, the most popular nightclub in the city. With an entrance fee of a hundred dollars and an average of 50,000 people per month, Jared's father makes a huge bank. Of course, that just entrance fee, because you will also need to buy alcohol and stuff. Yosef and Zakariya are the only ones who don't have the luxury that Jared, Kane, Tobias, and I have, but they still are from rich families.

"So where are we eating Kyle?" Tobias asked as all of us entered the limousine.

"We're eating at this chicken bar that I've eaten at before. It's pretty good." I answered.

"So we're essentially going to be eating chicken wings?" Zakariya asked.

"That's what I'm planning, though they have a good variety on their menu so buy whatever you want."

"That's cool I guess. Though I honestly wished we went to a buffet instead." Jared expressed.

"Sorry Jared, should've mentioned it when we planned this out."

The limousine took off. Thanks to air transportation not having as much traffic, the ride won't take as long. There were various sorts of alcohol available inside the limousine for us to drink, however, none of us went for it, opting for water instead. We don't mind drinking alcohol, but it's best that we don't go under the influence during school hours.

"So, what did you guys do last night?" Kane asked.

"Ah, not much actually. My babe was still on her mission, and didn't return until this morning." Zakariya told us.

"I went to sleep early. I had a terrible headache yesterday. It was actually made worse when my girlfriend was persistent on doing it." Jared said.

"I feel sorry for you bro, but at least you got to bang like I did." I told Jared.

"Nice. Did you wear protection, or did you pull another Claudia?" Yosef jokingly blurted.

Everyone laughed, including me. It's been a long time since my incident with Claudia. My friends make fun of me for it, and I just join them in the laugh.

"Oh I definitely wore protection man. I can't pull another Claudia incident." I joined in.

"Didn't she have twins? Man, that must be difficult to deal with." Kane opinionated.

"My sister does have twins. I don't interact with them that much, but they are probably a hassle to deal with. Makes it even harder since Claudia can't talk for her life." Tobias added.

"Damn huh? You really got lucky when you decided to go buy the milk, right Kyle?" Kane joked.

Again, everyone laughed, and I joined in.

"Yeah, probably the best decision I made too!" I stated.

Again everyone laughed. However, what everyone doesn't was that I was lying. Leaving Claudia with two children was one of my, if not my biggest mistakes. Of course, I never wanted to have children with her, but now that I have, I wished I had the opportunity to take responsibility. Sadly, once it was revealed that Claudia was pregnant with my children, my father kind of forced me to cut ties with her, not wanting me to deal with her children. I love my father to death, but I hold a grudge against him for making me do so. I wouldn't have been around with my children since I'm busy, but at least I would have made life easier for Claudia, and my children would have had a father figure to look up to.

"Yo Kyle, you alright man?" Tobias waved his hand in front of my face.

"Uh-yeah, I'm fine." I lied back.

The ride towards the restaurant lasted a quick 10 minutes. All of us hopped off the limousine, throwing away the water bottles at the nearest recycling bin. We walked down the building to reach ground level again, walking for another minute before reaching the restaurant. We announced our reservation and headed towards the circle booth that I bought. Shortly after sitting down, a waitress came by to pass out menus. I didn't bother reading it, already knowing what to buy. The boys scattered the menu to find what else they wanted to buy besides the basket of wings I planned on buying. Once the waitress came back with our waters, she asked all of us for our orders. I went first, asking for a large basket of chicken wings dressed with a weak hot sauce. Something I'm embarrassed to admit is that while I may be one of the strongest Valkyries, I do not work well with spicy stuff. It's practically my kryptonite. The reason why I'm weak to spice is because of my geographic and fissured tongue.

Kane ordered a basket of fries for all of us, something I mistakenly left out. Due to circumstances of allergies and religious traditions, we had to leave out the cheese and bacon. Unfortunate, but we can't do anything about it.

Jared went to buy himself a burger that was topped with bacon, cheese curds, and the usual vegetables. It sounds delicious, but holy hell is it unhealthy! Jared will have to go on an emergency exercise to burn all of those calories. He also bought a side of potato wedges to himself with cheese and bacon, only further putting him on an exercise.

Zakariya went Kane's route and ordered potato wedges for all of us, again without the toppings.

Finally, Tobias ordered us the appetizer of beer-battered onion rings.

Yosef didn't order anything extra as we pretty much cleared everything out by that point. The waitress left us, going to the kitchen to give the orders. All of us just sat there, trying to think of a topic to talk about. It's actually harder than it seems. Not everyone shares the same interest so there may be some topics that some of us aren't interested in.

"Have you heard those rumors lately?" Yosef brought up.

"Rumors? About the new guy, Tendou?" Jared stepped in.

"Yeah, seems bizarre, don't they?" Zakariya joined in.

"Schizophrenia, and strong powers? Bullshit if you ask me."

"It's sounds like bullshit, but I have a strange feeling that it might be true." Tobias added.

Everyone turned to him, giving him the awkward look.

"Both of my older sisters took part in that mission with him. Of course, Claudia wouldn't be able to tell me, so she relied on Ino. Ino told everyone during dinner yesterday about the entire mission. When she got to Tendou's part, she mentioned how he shot lightning, blocked fire, created energy blades, and caused an explosion without any real explosive on hand. Claudia backed her up by agreeing with everything she said. Of course, I don't know the validity of Ino's statement, but if they are true…"

Everyone was now fully interested in this story. Tendou, having magic fucking abilities? It sounds like bollocks, but I've known Claudia. She's an honest person by heart, so there's no way that she could be lying.

"So the magic abilities part has some backing evidence, but what the fuck is with the schizophrenic part of the rumor?" I asked.

"Well, I can't say that my sister went into much detail about it. Though from what she did say when Tendou was utilizing his powers, he had a slight appearance change. His eyes went from cobalt blue to amethyst purple, and that braid to his side became silver. Other than those two appearance changes, she mentioned how Tendou's voice had a feminine voice echo slightly after his normal voice. Again, I don't know the validity of this."

Amethyst purple eyes? Silver braid? Didn't Tendou slightly slip into those changes on Monday? I remember sitting next to him when he looked like he was about to karate chop the hell out of my fangirls. I can back those statements up, but what the hell does that have to do with schizophrenia?

"So what do you guys think about those rumors?" Tobias asked all of us.

"Those rumors are fake, as all rumors are. There's no way a simpleton like him can posses such power." Kane opinionated.

"I know we have some evidence to the possibility of Tendou pulling this shit off, but I do feel like its fake as well." Yosef joined in.

"I just feel like Ino just made these rumors up so that people don't berate him."

"Yeah, but I'm still going to berate him when I get the chance." Zakariya said.

"I'm on the same boat. I'm going to bully the shit out of him!" Jared exclaimed proudly.

"Lowly D-Rank won't stand a chance against me!"

That just left Tobias and I. Out of everyone here, he and I were the only ones with some clue and evidence, arguably me more so him since I saw something at least. I'm honestly at odds with myself. The powers they described him using, sounds like something a Herrscher would be capable of. But like, there's no way he can be one, right? But like, there is so much evidence that proves the rumors to be true.

"As much as I know that my sisters won't lie, I have so much doubt about the rumors." Tobias stated.

"It's too crazy to be true. Sure, rumors always seem to be crazy, but at least they're grounded in reality. This, it just sounds like someone's shitty ass fan fiction coming alive! How about you Kyle?"

"Well…" I started.

"I am going to get ridiculed for this, but I feel like the rumors may be true. Of course, I can't say if the powers are true or not, but I can confirm the assumed schizophrenia part. On Monday, I remember seeing Tendou's eyes changing colors and his braid changing as well. If the schizophrenia rumor is mostly true, then maybe the other rumor could be true as well. Of course, even if it's true or not, I'm still going to torment him."

"Damn, we all want to destroy this guy huh?" Zakariya chuckled.

"Hell yeah!" Everyone agreed.

After a while, our food arrived. Jared, like the boar he is, went immediately to stuffing his mouth. I swear, the guy is almost like a Saiyan! Doing the opposite, I just gently bit down on a wing. Even with one of the weakest sauces, my tongue still burns greatly. I hate that I was born with a fucked up tongue since I really love the taste of spicy foods, but I can't tank them for the sake of my life!

"I can't help but always laugh at seeing Kyle try to bear the burn of hot sauce." Tobias chuckled.

"I know right! Who would have thought that one of the mightiest valkyries would have a weakness to a simple hot sauce!" Yosef chimed in.

I chugged down a good chunk of my cold water. It helped take the burn away temporarily, but it will come back later.

"If he's this bad at taking spicy stuff, then I really want him to eat a Carolina Reaper." Jared exclaimed.

"Fuck you, I ain't eating that shit!" I hollered back at Jared.

A few meters from us, a glass cup could be heard shattering. Naturally, it attracted everyone's attention. The broken glass cup was from the result of a tough dude who knocked it off of a waitress's serving plate. The tough dude was clearly not satisfied with his service. I can't confirm what caused him to have his attitude, all I know is that it's causing problems for everyone.

"Sir, I'm sorry that I gave you the wrong drink, but there's no need to get upset over it." The waitress said.

"Sorry doesn't excuse the fact that I specifically ordered a distinctive drink!" The dude yelled.

I've never worked in the restaurant scene so I don't know how orders work and shit, though I'm inclined to agree with the guy here. Drinks shouldn't be that hard to differentiate. However, I'm not tolerating his attitude over a mistaken drink. People make mistakes, even if they are stupid ones, but every mistake can be fixed.

"Now go get me the drink I wanted!" The guy harshly ordered.

"Yes sir!" The girl screeched.

The girl hurriedly ran back to get him his original drink. All of my friends and I sat still as we spectated the ruckus. No one dared to attempt to talk to the aggressive man after his actions. I would have, but I don't have a full-fledged reason to yet. A few minutes later, the girl came back with his intended drink, to which he aggressively thanked the girl, but still berated her.

"I'm very sorry for my mistake. But as restaurant policies go, I must require you to pay for the damage you did to one of our cups." The waitress gulped.

As expected, at least from me, the tough guy lost his temper again, this time he grabbed the waitress's collar and pushed her against the table.

"I ain't paying for shit! You made the mistake, you pay for it!"

What kind of stupid logic is that?! You're the one who clearly broke the cup, you wouldn't have had this conversation had you not lost your temper!

"Give me some space guys." I ordered my friends.

"No, let me do this." Kane offered.

Before I could even reply, Kane already stood up and walked over to the scene in play. Once he got close enough, he let out a fake cough to attract the attention of the guy.

"Excuse me sir, but might I reckon you to calm down?" Kane uttered.

"The girl may have made an honest mistake, but there's no need to get angry about it. People make mistakes, big deal, so let's just calm down."

The guy was clearly having none of it, as expected.

"Shut up chump! She made a stupid mistake that made me have to wait longer for something that I desire, I'm not going to handle her bullshit!"

"Huh, I guess you're right. I doubt you can handle anyone's bullshit going by your attitude, not even your own considering you're refusing to eat your own." Kane pointed at the shattered glass.

This got the man angry, and he threw the waitress at Kane. It was unexpected for him, but he was fast enough to react. He caught the waitress in a princess carry. The aggravator prepared himself for a fight, getting ready to brawl Kane.

"Really now? Opting to a useless fight instead of settling this with a chat like a gentleman? Damn, you really are a coward huh?" Kane taunted.

"We'll see who's the coward after this!" The man yelled.

The man launched a fist towards Kane. Kane dodged it by swerving to his right. The aggravator kept launching attacks towards Kane, who continued dodging them repeatedly. It's kind of normal to see that when you have a trained Valkyrie go up against a thug, keeping in mind that Kane still has the waitress in his arms too. Back in the seats, all of us watched as we continued eating. Jared was almost done with his food, Yosef and Zakariya were already done, and both Tobias and I were finishing the rest of the potato sides.

"Come on, fight back, will ya!" The man taunted.

"Fine, if you want me too." Kane replied, dejected.

Lifting up his leg, Kane sent an axe kick down onto his opponent's head, knocking him out instantly. When you have near super strength, it's kind of hard to not knockout normal people with one attack.

"Shit, I hope I didn't crack his skull open."

Looking at the waitress, Kane apologized to her.

"I'm sorry for all of this ruckus madam."

The waitress blushed as Kane let her down onto the ground again. Hmph, I guess Kane's charms has already somehow showed itself to the waitress.

"No, it's fine." The girl admitted.

"If it's not a problem, then may I have your name?"

"My name is Kane, my dear. I'm actually an S-Rank Valkyrie at the academy here. Of course, you can choose to believe that if you want to." Kane bowed down to the girl.

"I'm also the son of DJ Soloman, but that probably won't do much for you."

The girl blushed again at Kane's gentlemen like attitude towards her. Kane got another girl in his harem, didn't he? Damn, at this rate, he'll soon catch up to me!

"If you don't mind, I would like to exchange phone numbers." The girl asked.

"No problem madam."

As the two exchanged phone numbers, our waiter came by to pick up our empty trays and gave us our check. I pulled out my wallet and paid for everyone, much to their dismay. Before my friends could take my money back and pay for their own, I took the check and pushed past Tobias and Yosef to go to the cashier. By the time I came back, Kane had sat back in his original spot.

"Hey, good going Kane!" I complimented.

"Handled the mess like a true gentlemen and even won the heart of another girl!"

"Hehe, that's one more to my harem." Kane winked.

"At this rate, I actually might catch up to you."

"In your dreams!"

After a couple more minutes later, we all left the restaurant. We still had a while before class would resume again. We all headed back to the air transport area. In the meanwhile, Tobias received a phone call from his mom. With his phone being so low, none of us heard what she was saying. Probably for the better anyway, it's best not to dive into personal family business.

"You guys want to go hoverboard skating?" Zakariya asked.

"Oooh, that sounds like a good idea!" I replied.

"I haven't been able to ride a hoverboard for a while, maybe we should." Jared joined in.

"We could, but there's a chance that Desmond's there, and I don't think we should have a Kaslana and Schariac feud with each other in the city." Kane reminded everyone.

"That's true. I forgot Desmond is obsessed with hoverboard skating as well." I mentioned.

At that moment, I got a text from someone on my phone. Pulling out my phone, I saw that the text was from Kathlynn. Kathlynn was another one of my girlfriends and Tobias's sister. At first, I thought that Tobias would have a major problem with me dating his sister. However, Tobias, and a majority of his family didn't seem to mind.

"Did you finish eating yet?" The text said.

"Yeah, I'm currently deciding what to do next." I texted back.

"Oh, I thought you were currently having sex with another girl right now."

"Really? Is my libido really that crazy?"

"Very much yes."

After a few minutes of silence, our limousine arrived and we all entered. I sat down in a comfortable spot when Kathlynn finally texted me back. Instead of a normal worded text, she sent me an image instead. Opening up the text, the image showed a picture of Kathlynn bitting down on a condom. Immediately, I felt my pal down the spike up.

"Hey guys, I gotta go back to the dormitory for something 'urgent'." I admitted to my homies.

At first, they were confused as to why I needed to go back urgently, but after a few seconds, they all smirked at me and winked.

"Oooooh, go get her Kyle." Jared nodded.

"Oh, I will!" I cheered.

The limousine took all of us back to the school area, and as I got out of the limousine, I ditched all of my friends.

"Hey Kyle, rock that girls world!" Yosef cried out.

I looked back with a grin and a thumbs-up before running back to the dormitory. Ascending up the elevators of the dorms, I rushed out of the elevator and towards Kathlynn's room. I notified her that I was outside the door through text. When she opened up the door, she immediately pulled me in.

"And you say that I have a crazy libido." I joked.

Kathlynn threw me onto her bed. Her eyes, they looked like they belonged on a predator. Despite having a scary vibe, I couldn't do anything but smirk.

"Let's see how much we can entertain ourselves before class begins again." Kathlynn purred.

Tendou's Perspective

*RING* *RING* *RING* *RING-*

"Hey Reshia, what did you call me for?" I answered.

"Tendou, are you still at a restaurant?" Reshia asked.

"Nope, I've been done with lunch for a while now. I'm actually watching over some kids at the daycare because Professor Sarah needed me to fill in for now."

"You're at the daycare? Huh. Not the type of person I thought would watch over children."

"Believe me, you're not the only one who thought that."

"Class is about to begin soon, do you think you can leave?"

"Nope. The person who's supposed to watch over the children still hasn't returned yet. I'll probably get a tardy for this, but I can't leave these kids alone. They become quite reckless without me. Plus, I'm kind of stuck…."

"Stuck? How so?"

I pull the phone away from my ear to turn on the FaceTime mechanic to show Reshia what has been causing me to be stuck. When she entered the FaceTime call, she held her hand over her mouth to muffle her own laugh.

"Oh my god!" She laughed.

What Reshia was witnessing was a couple of the children sleeping against me. It didn't cause any harm to me, neither did it really bother me, but I can't really move without moving one of the children. I don't want to wake them up from their peaceful rest.

"As you can see, I can't move." I tell Reshia.

"Yeah, I can see. I was wondering why you were so quiet." Reshia replied.

"Tell Professor Connors that I won't be able to make it to class on time today. I highly doubt that'll excuse me of a tardy though."

"Alright, I'll try to convince her."

I ended the call with Reshia. If it takes much longer for an adult to show up, I might not even show up to my last 2 classes! Hell, even if someone shows up, I can't even go back to school immediately. The children drool when they sleep, and with a couple sleeping against me, my shirt is essentially splashed with drool.

"I'm quite surprised the maid didn't come over here instead of going back to school." Lessica mentioned.

"Reshia's usually attached to you like superglue, so seeing her return back to school instead of coming here is surprising, to say the least."

"I'm also surprised. I thought she would have ditched school to come over here too."

"Mmm. Also, you are like, drowned in spit. It's probably not bad, but with that amount on you, you probably don't smell that great."

"Yeah. I kind of don't want to go back to school in this. Even if I change my shirt, I highly doubt I could get the scent of drool off."

"…..so do you want to-."

"NO!"

"Ahhh, it was worth a shot."

I stayed inside the daycare for an hour longer. All of the children sleeping against me had waken up now, so I was now free to move however I wanted to. With them just waking up, all were not as energetic as they were before, which is more beneficial to me. However, no one has come back yet, so I'm still stuck here.

*RING* *RING* *RING-*

"Hello?"

"Tendou, where are you?"

"Still at the daycare. An adult hasn't returned yet."

"Still? Professor Connors is starting to worry about you, you know?"

"Makes sense. Wait, how are you even calling me right now Reshia?"

"I asked myself to be excused for a bit just to call you. How long do you think you'll still be there for?"

"How am I supposed to know? I thought someone would have come back by now, but clearly not. If it takes this much longer, I might not be able to attend Professor Connor's class, and maybe Professor Sarah's."

"That's not good at all. I just beg to god that you'll hopefully won't miss at least Professor Sarah's class."

*BLEEP*

"You know, maybe you can just ditch class altogether." Lessica recommended.

"What? Why would I do that?" I asked confusedly.

"I had a plan that once the adult finally returns, we could just sneak into the training facility to execute my plans. Of course, you're the one in control so the final say is in your hands."

I still don't know what Lessica's plan was, but if it involved the training ground, I have a slight feeling I know what her plan might be. However, there's a chance that a class might be occupying the training grounds right now, so I don't think the plan will work.

"I don't like the sound of your plan there, Lessica." I said nervously.

"Besides, there's a chance that a class could be occupying the facility right now. I don't think we can enter it right now."

"True, true. Guess we'll have to wait for after school then. Though, we'll have to find a way to get Reshia away from us. She's glued to you, and I don't think we'll be able to convince her to retire to her room."

"Shit, how the fuck are we going to convince her."

"…..well, this will probably be dumb, and definitely could fuck us in the long run, but maybe we should tell her about me. She's already seen what I can do and stuff, so we might as well tell her. Of course, whenever she believes us or not is up to her, but I doubt that she wouldn't. We'll also have to trust that she doesn't tattletale on us."

"Sounds risky, but I see no other choice."

"Sorry for the long wait Carol, but I'm back-…..who are you?" A lady appeared through the door.

Finally, after a long time, someone finally came! Maybe I can make it back to Professor Connor's class. Actually, I'll have to go back to my dorm first to change my shirt. Moving that aside, the caretaker.

"Oh, I'm just a random Valkyrie that Professor Sarah asked to watch over the kids. She had something else to attend to so she left the kids with me." I explained.

"Oh. Oh! I'm so sorry for getting you entangled up in my mess! Aren't you missing class right now?" The caretaker asked.

"Yeah, but I really couldn't leave these kids alone. I already witnessed what can happen with them without an adult so I forced myself to stay."

"I'm so sorry for all of this." The caretaker apologized again.

"I had an urgent family matter to deal with so I needed someone to watch over the children while I'm gone. I must say though, I'm quite impressed with your work. The kids are extremely calm. I have a tough time doing that sometimes."

"I can't blame you for that. I had a difficult time calming them down too. When I got here, they were throwing toys, drawing on the walls, and some were even crying! I'm still clueless as to how I got them to calm down." I mentioned.

Of course, I didn't do jack shit, but I couldn't tell the caretaker for obvious reasons.

"Again, I'm sorry for all of this. May I have your phone number though? I'm thoroughly impressed with your work. Maybe I can convince you to substitute in for me in case I'm gone again?" The caretaker asked.

"Well, I don't know if I can always be available, but if you don't have anyone else who can substitute in for you, then I'll take your spot for a bit. Think of me as a last resort." I noted.

I gave the lady my phone number, waved farewell, and dashed out of the daycare. If I check correctly, I still have about 50 minutes left of class to attend. Changing shirts would obviously shorten that time, but I mean…..I don't see the problem with that. I have some other things to worry about other than class, like Lessica's plan, and whatever the hell those memory fragments were.

Rushing back into the dorm building, the elevator lifted me up to my dorm. I quickly entered my room and threw my hat and shirt off. Changing into a generic black shirt, I quickly put my fedora back on and wrapped my jacket around my back. After the elevator dropped back onto the first floor, I made another full sprint back to the school building. With the hallways empty, I had a lot of space to move around, and it allowed me to get back to the class faster. Reaching destination point, I slammed the door open, attracting the attention of everyone in there who were confused by my absence.

"Sorry Professor Connors." I apologized and huffed.

"I had to deal with something. I'm here now. What did I miss?"

Professor Connors sighed in place as I walked over to the empty desk next to Reshia. I can't tell if she understood my situation or not, but I could tell that she wasn't satisfied.

"You didn't miss much Tendou. I'm pretty sure if you want to know what you missed, you can ask Reshia for help." Professor Connors informed.

I mean, she isn't wrong. Reshia does help me out a lot with school. She's kind of like the internet, except she's real, and I don't have to search up stuff and get conflicting answers. Seriously, what's with the internet and conflicting answers, why can't there just be one single answer to something?

"I know the situation was not in your control Tendou, but try not to be apart of a similar situation again. Missing class is bad for someone like you." Professor Connors informed.

"Yeah, I know. I'll try not to miss class again."

"Good, now let me resume class."

Professor Connors resumed her class again. With not much time left in the class, I didn't learn much, which is bad for me, but it comes off as good slightly now that I didn't have to overflow my mind with too much shit for now. After 46 minutes passed, class ended, and I went with Reshia to go to Professor Sarah's class. However, midway, Reshia made the splendid decision of waiting at the last minute to enter class to avoid having to sit next to Kyle and Tobias. Smart move on her, I can't handle those two either! So as promised, we waited last minute to enter class…just to see that the two empty seats left were next to the two of them. What the fuck is with our luck? I ain't a math magician, but the chances of that happening are so low.

"Fuck." I heard Reshia curse under her breath.

I feel you Reshia. I too, don't want to sit next to them, but this cruel world says otherwise. Reluctantly, both of us sat down next to Kyle and Tobias. I can already tell by their snickering, Reshia and I are in for a nightmare. Professor Sarah could definitely see our pain and suffering from the front of the class, but she didn't bother doing anything about it.

Class began. Professor Sarah went to teach her lesson, and I paid attention to her, or at least I tried to. Throughout this entire class, Kyle and Tobias made attempts to flirt with Reshia. I wasn't bothered by it since it didn't matter much to me, but I felt sad for her. For me, the two brats did many things like pulling my jacket, kicking my feet, and dropping an ice cube down my shirt. It annoyed me, especially the ice cube, but I shut my mouth to not disrupt the learning environment. Their behavior continued for an hour. I got slightly annoyed with their antics for every passing minute, and I broke when both of them threw an egg at me. It didn't hurt, but the annoyance of feeling the egg slime it's way down on skin is unbearable.

"Fucking assholes!" I vociferated.

Everyone now twisted their heads to face me. I got up and grabbed Kyle by the collar of his shirt which he didn't appeal to at all. Immediately, Kyle grabbed my hand to pull me in for a headbutt that connected. I stumbled backward, falling onto my desk. For revenge, I got up and sent a fist to his cheek, which he caught and did the same thing. I stumbled backward again as his fist connected. It was here when Professor Sarah shouted at both of us.

"Tendou and Kyle!" Professor Sarah ferociously screeched.

"Both of you, out of my class now!"

Both of us scoffed, but we still left her class anyways. Kyle and I stepped out of the classroom and outside into the hallway. We stood a few feet apart from each other as we leaned against the walls.

"Jeez, looks like someone has a bad temper." Kyle taunted.

"Yeah, and it's you." I pointed out.

"You immediately lashed back when I grabbed your collar. I didn't lash back until after you and Tobias did all that shit for an hour."

"Oh shut up will ya?"

"Looks like someone can't handle the truth."

Both of us stood there for another 5 minutes until Kyle brought up something.

"So, those rumors about you." Kyle mentioned.

"You caught yourself on those too? That's unexpected." I argued.

"I didn't intend to, but they were too interesting to not stray away from. The thought of you having magic fucking abilities seems bizarre if you ask me."

"And what, you believe those rumors?"

"As a matter of fact, yes. I witnessed a part of the rumor being true after all."

"Wait what? Since when?"

"Your braid turned silver during our first encounter remember. You looked like you were about to butcher some people. Or do you not remember that because you lose your memory every second of your pathetic existence?"

"Shut up will you?"

"Anyways, going back to your rumors, if they turn out to be true, I'm interested to see how you'll turn out in the future. But as of now, you're just a pipsqueak compared to me, and you always will be. I mean, you probably won't progress much anyways. You'll die in a mission sooner or later if you don't have a highly trained Valkyrie by your side."

"Alright cocky bastard, I guess you just set up a challenge for yourself. I wonder how this will play out."

"Challenge? Hah, as if you'll ever be a challenge for me!"

At that remark, I gave Kyle a sucker punch to the face, following up with an uppercut to the stomach. Kyle let out a growl of pain. Angered, he backhanded me in the cheek, causing me to slam against the wall. Kyle and I ended having another fight with each other, and this time, no one was here to stop it. We traded fist after fist, blows after blows. Because of his experience, Kyle easily got the upper hand against me. The fight didn't really end until Kyle grabbed my arm, and flung me against the window, shattering it and sending me outside the campus. This alerted everyone inside the class. I don't know how they didn't intervene when both of us were fighting earlier, but whatever.

"Kyle! What the hell are you doing?!" Professor Sarah scolded.

"Master!" Reshia shouted.

I didn't like being called master, but I honestly couldn't argue with Reshia on this one. She's probably used to calling people she served one so I'll just let it slide if it slips. I mean, she's been pretty good at calling me by my name anyways.

"Urgh, I'm fine Reshia." I tell her.

Clearly, I wasn't, but healing factor so…uh….actually I forgot what I was going to say.

"Well now, I didn't expect that to escalate quickly." A voice called out.

Everyone turned their attention behind me. Standing outside, Otto was looking at us with the most confused expression. Everyone, including Kyle, was slightly afraid of his presence. Not me though, because I'm just confused as to why everyone was afraid of him. I know Lessica has told me multiple times to be wary of him, but I don't see how much harm the man can do, both physically and mentally.

"Overseer, I apologize for all of this. It's my fault that this happened." Professor Sarah apologized.

"Lord Overseer, please do not punish the Professor harshly. It may not be my fault that I started it, but I allowed this to continue. The Professor had no say in this." Kyle also apologized.

Ah fucking hell, he's shifting all the blame on me?! That's….oh fuck he's actually right, I was the one who started this. Ah shit, I'm about to get severely punished, aren't I?

"No worries Sarah. I won't punish you at all for this. Kyle, I'll let you off with a warning this time. School policies may not allow for fights within the school, but self-defense is still a thing. Next time when you get in a similar situation, try to avoid going on the offense. Now as for you Tendou…" Otto stated.

Otto walked up to me. With me still laying on the ground, Otto towered over me. He gave out a hand to aid me up. Standing up, he put a hand on my shoulder. Instead of being very stern and serious, Otto still maintained his near smug smile and a joyful attitude, or at least it seemed joyful.

"Color me surprised. You handled yourself pretty well against one of our top S-Ranks you know. Sure, you still lost in the end, but you still managed to land a few hits. That's an accomplishment!" Otto applauded

As with everything this guy did, I was caught surprised. I didn't think I would be applauded for breaking a rule. I'm also sure that everyone else was just as surprised as well. After applauding me, he wrapped his arm around my shoulders and pulled me in closer.

"I know you're the one who started it, but I'll let this one slide. Knowing Kyle and his friends after working with them for many years, their attitude will persist. I don't know what led to this chain of event, but I have enough clues as to what might. Don't tell anyone this, alright?" Otto commanded.

"Uh…yeah sure." I replied.

"Good."

Otto let go of my shoulders and walked away. I turned around to look at my classmates, who were arguing what the Overseer whispered to me. Professor Sarah on the other hand looked exhausted as hell. She was rubbing her face viciously out of stress.

"Professor? What's wrong?" I asked.

"No, it's nothing. I'm just….you know what, rest of class is canceled." Professor Sarah announced.

"I need to take a break sometimes."

Collectively, many people cheered at class being canceled early. I wasn't one of them, but I am still happy that class got canceled though. I feel sorry for the Professor though. She almost got in trouble due to me, so now I just feel very guilty. I should consider my actions more carefully from now on.

"An odd chain of events might I say." Lessica added.

"Man, I haven't really lashed out like that before." I pointed out.

"You've gotten close, but yeah, first time seeing you like this. Don't blame you though, I wanted to do the same thing. Kyle is an absolute bitch."

"Anyways, about the plan."

"As you said, there's probably a class in session there, but let's go there to see if there is."

"Alrighty. I'll get Reshia then."

I still don't know what Lessica has in mind for me, but I'm still worried no doubt. Not only that, but I'm not even sure this plan will even get the attention off of Lessica! Whatever though, it's the only plan one of us can think of, and it's a plan in the end. Let's just hope that it works.

Chapter 7 End.
