Merry Christmas
Steve took a deep breath and, turning to Danny, snagged his partner's hand and pulled him towards the kitchen. And then he was staring into Danny's eyes, full of confusion and happiness and that something else he'd noticed. Steve took another deep breath, suddenly at a loss, and nervous as a kid.
"Danny, I've got something to say to you." It seemed like an eternity, but he just couldn't get the words out. His partner smiled, and he got side-tracked. "I'm sorry I didn't get you anything special for Christmas yet.
Danny reached up to stroke Steve's cheek, and his partner captured his hand, and brought it to his lips to kiss Danny's fingertips. The blonde shivered, and Steve smiled against his hand. "I love the way you taste. I love the way you feel." Steve dropped Danny's hand and pulled the blonde closer to him, dropping a quick kiss on Danny's lips as he did so. "I love the way you make me feel. I love everything about you. I love you, Danny."
Steve was so anxious about Danny's response. Was that pity he saw in his partner's eyes, or could he hope that maybe, Danny felt something similar for him? "I love you too, Steve." And Steve's anxiety and fears melted away, gazing at the man he loved. He pulled Danny into a crushing hug, and then kissed him. It was a kiss that went on forever, and showed them the depths of their love. It was hot, and gentle, and full of promise for later.
After, neither of them spoke for a long moment, content just to hold one another, Then Steve kissed Danny again, hard and fast, unable to contain his joy, and Danny smiled against his partner's demanding lips. Steve's love was the best gift he'd ever received. Breaking their kiss, Danny whispered, "Merry Christmas, Steve."
"Merry Christmas, Danny."
