Bluey and Jenny
Season one Episode twenty three: Shoplifting
A Blue Heeler was shown in her bed as a German Shepherd about her age jumped on top of her, making her laugh with upbeat music playing. "Bluey and Jenny, (Bluey and Jenny fall out of bed while laughing) they're rarely seen without the other." Bluey and Jenny are shown to be in school wth a red heeler riding on Bluey's back, and a younger German Shepherd on Jenny's back. "Both are older sisters, (Jenny lifts her leg with Bluey gagging while laughing, Bingo just gagging, and the other German Shepherd laughing) as well as best friends forever."
Bluey and Jenny were shown to be walking through the forest with Bluey looking around in amazement. "Bluey is the truster, (Jenny is shown slashing at leaves with her sword) Jenny is the tomboy, (Bluey and Jenny find an amazing view of their town and look over it) they can make quite the pair." Bluey and Jenny are shown to be playing with Bingo and the younger German Shepherd as Jenny cuts down a bag of candy from a rope. "Also making things fun for Bingo and Chase, (All four of the kids laugh) with all the time they share."
Bluey and Jenny are shown to be decorating some kind of tree house in a backyard. "It's not imaginary, (Bluey and Jenny look out the window with Jenny giving a peace sign and Bluey leaning on the window) it's Bluey and Jenny."
Bluey, Jenny, and the rest of Bluey's family were at the toy store with Bluey having her eyes set on something truly amazing. It was one of those chewing ropes for babies, and the one Bluey had her eyes on was the fancy red and blue one, one of the expensive colored ones. She ran over to Chilli in the hopes that they could afford it as Bingo was picking out a stuffed tiger. "Mum, I found the perfect gift for Socks!"
"Ooh, chewing rope. That's good for a puppy Socks' age." Chilli praised Bluey, making her tail wag excitedly, until Chilli noticed the seventy five price tag just as Jenny came over with a toy ball for Socks. "I'm sorry Bluey, this is too expensive. (Bluey's smile drops) We'll have to settle for one of the brown ones or a single colored one."
Jenny noticed Bluey's dissapointed look instantly and didn't want her decision to go to waste. "But single colored ones are boring. And one tug too hard on the brown ones and they break so much that you'll have to buy a new one. And Socks isn't the type to let this stuff slide."
"Stipe and Trixie will be able to afford a replacement anytime they want." Chilli explained with Bluey going to put the rope back as Chilli admitted she did agree with Jenny a bit. "I mean, you're right, but we can't over-go our budget."
Jenny felt bad for Bluey and then got a cheeky idea, walking over to her to talk to her. "I'll go see if we can find one that's at least durable."
"Alright." Chilli looked at Bingo and saw that she was giving the tiger a piggyback ride. "Save the rough fun for your cousin, okay Bingo? She deserves to play with it at least once."
Jenny walked up to Bluey and leaned in close with a cheeky look on her face. "Ya know Bluey, there is ONE way we could get that rope to Socks in time for her birthday."
Bluey was intrigued by what Jenny had in mind, but she was also worried that it was something bad. "What's that?" Jenny whispered into Bluey's ear, making her shocked, but she made sure to keep her voice down. "Jenny, we can't do that! We could get arrested and mum and dad could get in trouble!"
"That's why we're not gonna get caught." Jenny explained, making sure there were no security cameras nearby before putting the rope for Socks in her backpack and making sure it was well hidden. "Good thing I brought my backpack with me."
Bluey was starting to get anxious and whispered to Jenny about this plan as she noticed Bandit was by the checkout talking to the cashier. She didn't want to get Jenny in trouble, but she was worried about what would happen from this. "You know what happens when I lie Jenny."
"So just be vague." Jenny advised Bluey, and she sighed, picking up the brown rope and hoping this would work out. Bluey was still worried about what would go down, but she knew she couldn't talk Jenny out of this. "If I didn't think we could pull this off, I wouldn't be going through with it. I have, a plan."
Bluey went to the checkstand with everyone else with Bandit checking to see if everyone was ready. "Is everyone ready babe?"
"Looks like it." Chilli looked down at Bluey, making sure she wasn't still upset about the rope thing. "Sorry we couldn't get Socks the rope you wanted Bluey."
"I just hope she likes what I got her." Bluey stated, hoping that what usually happened when she lied didn't go down.
Bluey's house was shown as Bluey and Jenny were then shown getting ready to wrap up Socks' stolen gift in her room. She felt bad about stealing it, and Jenny saw this as she spoke up. "I don't think I can go through with this Jenny. If we get caught then my parents will kill me."
"Dude, your parents are Gods compared to my mum and Duke especially." Jenny reminded Bluey, knowing that everything would work out in the end. "If we're lucky, Bandit won't get suspicious, and Chilli will forget what she said about the one we got."
Bluey highly doubted that would happen, and then Bingo came into the room and closed the door behind her to show Bluey and Jenny what she wrapped. "Bluey, I got Socks' gift wrapped!"
Bingo saw the rope that Bluey and Jenny were wrapping up with Jenny instantly stepping in and keeping Bingo from commenting on it. "Don't say anything to Bandit and Chilli. Socks deserves better than the easily breakable stuff."
Bingo was confused, but walked away from the door and onto the balcony with Jenny allowing her and Bluey to talk about this after the two of them nodded to each other. When Bluey and Bingo were on their balcony, Bingo asked about what was going on. "Bluey, why did you and Jenny steal the rope? I thought you said stealing was wrong."
"It is." Bluey reminded Bingo, who was skeptical as Bluey then put a paw on her shoulder. "I tried to talk her out of it, but you know how persistent she can be." Bingo was shown to be worried as Bluey talked to her about the whole thing. "But Jenny's right. We can't tell them now or else she and I will get in trouble. Jenny's going through enough trouble as it is, and the last thing I want is for her to end up being forced to stay at home with Duke. And returning the rope isn't an option for us, so if they find it, please try to get their minds off of HOW it arrived in the house."
Bingo thought for a moment and then saw Jenny wrapping up the rope, not wanting her to deal with Duke either. "Well...okay."
Bluey sighed with relief as Bingo then started thinking about something. "Thanks Bingo."
"Hang on." Bingo then pointed out the thing that happened in the Amazon. "Wasn't Jenny also grounded after that Amazon trip? Why would this be any different."
"Well this is a crime that's being committed, as opposed to just general recklessness." Bluey pointed out, bringing Bingo back inside so they could continue with the plan.
Bluey and Bingo walked over to Jenny, who kicked the brown rope into the closet and giving Bluey the wrapped one. "I got my present wrapped too. Let's get down there." The girls went out of the room with their presents with Bluey and Bingo hoping they could get away with this.
Bluey and the others were eating dinner with Jenny finishing her second portion, as usual, and Bluey seeming to be in a state of guilt, which Bandit noticed due to her lack of eating. "You okay kiddo? You barely touched your food."
Bluey tried to come up with a good excuse for why she was the way she was, hoping it wouldn't classify as a lie. "Yeah, I'm fine. I've just been thinking a lot lately."
Jenny let out a burp and then slammed her fist on the ground as she stated she wanted more food. "More stir-fry please!"
Chilli grabbed Jenny's bowl and went to go get her some more food with Bingo speaking up about something. "Oh, and you can't go in our closet anymore. It's off limits."
Jenny gave Bingo a dumbfounded look when she said that, leaving Bandit to get suspicious. "That seemed to get your attention rather quickly Jenny. You wanna speak up?"
Jenny flinched and tried to make sure that Bandit didn't figure out what was going on. "It's private Bandit. Now eat your dinner or you're not getting desert tonight."
Chilli set Jenny's food down as she made a sly comment about what she just said. "Oh, I wasn't aware you were the parent now." Jenny started eating her third portion of stir-fry, hoping that this would be the end of the conversation.
Bluey, Jenny, and Bingo were getting ready for bed with Bandit unable to help but look at the closet, wanting to know what the girls were hiding from him and Chilli. "I hate to be nosy, but I really wanna know what you girls are hiding in there."
"But you can't, because it's against the law." Jenny stated, obviously lying about the stakes of the situation. "If you look in that closet, you'll be arrested for trespassing."
Bandit scoffed and walked over to the closet with Bluey stepping in front of him and blocking the way. "You won't find anything in here dad, trust me." Bluey suddenly released a squeaky rice scented fart, giving Bandit the indication that she was lying as she wafted it away and giggled nervously (pfft). "That was from dinner tonight. (phht) Dad, I'm serious; we're not hiding anything good." Bluey tried to hold this one in with Bandit crossing his arms as Bluey then spoke up again. "It's just clothes and toys." Bluey then cracked loud a two second chicken fart (BRRRAAAT), one that was bigger due to her holding in the previous one.
Bandit wasn't buying what Bluey was saying with Jenny and Bingo meeting in the middle of the room as Jenny whispered to Bingo. "Ask him a stupid question to stall if he finds the rope."
Bingo nodded in response as Bluey continued to stall, hoping that Bandit would eventually drop it. "Dad, please don't go in there." Although, her clear embarrassment from her lie-farting was enough to convince Bandit that she was hiding something.
"Move over Bluey." Bluey sighed with defeat as Bandit went into the closet and pulled out the brown rope, being confused as he turned to Bluey. "The brown chewing rope? I thought you wrapped this up."
Bingo instantly ran up to Bandit with a question in mind, hoping he would be ready to answer it. "Dad?"
Bandit turned to Bingo, who hoped she could stall him for long enough to help Bluey get away with what she and Jenny were up to. "Yeah mate?"
While Bingo was asking her question, Bandit noticed Jenny trying to leave the room with something behind her back. "How do some animals have bigger bones than others?"
"That's just the way they're made Bingo." Bandit answered, and then he walked up to Jenny and asked to see what was behind her back. "Alright Jenny, no more games. What're you hiding?"
Jenny was about to reveal the wrapped up rope, only to punch Bandit in the nuts and run out, which caught Bluey's attention. "Okay, I know this is a running gag, but how does that help!?"
"He didn't see the present for one!" Jenny ran downstairs, only for Chilli to be waiting at the bottom as she grabbed her by the waist with a smug grin. "Chilli, I don't think Bandit would approve!"
Chilli started laughing as she set Jenny down, amazed that she knew about that kind of humor, and that she hinted at it at all. "What!?" Chilli laughed a bit more, trying to stop so she could start getting serious.
Bluey and Jenny were sitting on the couch with Bingo next to Bluey while Jenny was explaining what happened to Bandit and Chilli. "And Bluey tried to convince me not to do it, but we all know how stubborn I can be. So we've basically been trying to play it cool and hope you two failed to notice long enough for Socks to open the present and for it to be too late."
Bingo held Bluey's paw to support her as Bluey gave her final words on the situation. "The only reason I didn't tell you guys was because I knew you would've told Ida, who would've told Duke, who would've taken it to the extreme and beaten Jenny. (Jenny shudders at the thought of being beaten by Duke) I know what she did was wrong, but I didn't wanna see her get slapped by one of the people who should be protecting her."
Bandit kneeled down to Bluey and Jenny, the latter of which was starting to notice how much she was stressing Bluey out. "Look Bluey. I know you only wanted to protect Jenny, and I can admire anyone wanting to protect a close one. Still, you know lying and stealing aren't things we should be doing. I want you to do the right thing in the future. Okay?" Bluey nodded in understanding, allowing Bandit to hug her for a bit before he looked at Jenny. "And Jenny, I hope you learned something from this."
"I shouldn't stress Bluey out by making her tell a lie about me doing something illegal?"
"Eh. Close enough."
Chilli snickered a bit, which caught everyone off guard, since she was usually the fun but strict one of the parents. "If it helps, you didn't actually steal it." Bluey and Jenny looked at each other with surprise as Chilli explained the situation. "See, while the rest of you were leaving the store with the rainbow rope, I was at the register PAYING for it because I figured Jenny would do something like this." Chilli is shown waiting for her family to leave as she gives a sly grin to the cashier. "My daughter's friend has a rainbow rope on her. (Pulls out a credit card) Put it on my card."
Bluey and Jenny were dumbfounded by this as the two of them spoke in sync of realization. "Oh."
Bluey and Jenny looked at each other with Jenny regreting what she must've put Bluey through and hoping she wouldn't screw this up. "Bluey, I...(Sighs)look; we know I suck at this. Do you still love me?"
"Of course." Bluey assured Jenny, knowing that she was just trying to do a good thing for Socks. "Plus we never technically did anything illegal, so there's not really anything to be mad about."
Bluey and Jenny hugged with Chilli speaking up about the circumstances that were coming from this. "Now Jenny, Bandit and I talked it out, and we're not gonna tell Ida. But we expect you to avoid stealing from stores, okay? You could've gotten in serious trouble if you DID steal it."
"Yeah, okay." Jenny responded, still not being fond of the adult lecture, and then she thought about how Chilli paid for the rainbow rope. "Hold it. If you can use your credit card to buy stuff then why didn't you suggest that right away?"
"Because credit cards are usually for emergencies. Not birthday presents." Chilli informed Jenny, who then shrugged in response, glad to see that her's and Bluey's records were still clear of any crimes.
