Chapter 4

Back at the mansion where Ash and Golly lived, they, along with Kukui and Lillie enter the house. Aurora is talking to a blonde haired woman until they notice them, Lillie has fear written on her face as she is looking around for escape.

"Ah, Ash, Golly. I see you are back home. How is Iki Town, do you have any fun?" Aurora asks.

"Yes, Mother, we got new Pokemon from the Kahuna." Ash says. "And who are you?"

The blonde haired woman says, "Ah, Ash. Golly it has been a while. As you can see, this is my real form."

"Wait, you are Serena's mother?" Golly asks.

"Or now it is Lillie's mother. I am sure you know that Serena is Lillie, right?" Grace says. "I now go by the name Lusamine."

As they turn around, they see that Lillie has disappeared, much to their confusion. "Hey, where did she go?" Golly asks.

Kukui sighs, "She was just here before, I wonder if she ran off?"

Ash says, "We'll find her later, but Ms. Lusamine, is it true that Serena lost some of her memories because of that plane crash, right?"

"Yeah, I trust you to help her out, right?" Lusamine asks as he nods. Golly asks, "If Lillie runs away...does that mean she is scared to see you? Ms. Aether?"

Lusamine frowns, "But I didn't remember if I did something that scares her...what if it is my other self? She must have doing something without my notice..."

Ash then quickly rushes out of the house to find Lillie, only to find her sitting at the grass with Delphox, Pangoro and Sylveon by her side.

"There you are, Lillie." Ash says as they notice him. "Ash..."

"And I see you have bonded with your Pokemon. That is good news." Ash smiles as Pikachu goes to nuzzle Sylveon. "My Pokemon?" Lillie asks. "But I am not even a trainer..."

"But you are Serena." Delphox says. "You are our trainer."

"Who is this Serena and why can I hear their voices?" Lillie asks with a little voice. "I am scared, I don't know what is going on with me."

Ash hugs her and says, "It is fine. Lillie. In fact, I should reveal some truth to you." Then they sit down and Ash says, "You see, Lillie. In the past, your family have been separated into two beings because you are a Legendary Pokemon known as Giratina."

"What? I am a Pokemon?" Lillie is surprised. "How could I be a Pokemon? I don't even like battles..."

"I know. Serena, that is the name of your other self. We traveled together in Kalos Region and they are the great times that we ever had." Ash says. "But because of a plane incident a few days ago...your other self as Serena is back inside you and you have some memory loss because of it."

Lillie frowns and says, "I am sorry to hear that...I must be a special person to you, right?"

"It is fine. But by the looks of it, you seem to be afraid your mother, can you tell me why?" Ash asks.

Lillie frowns and says, "My Mother recently has been weird...she has been researching for some Pokemon known as the Ultra Beasts, she also forces us to do what she wants. My Brother runs away in order to protect an artificial Pokemon made in the paradise, and I ran away because I wanted to protect Nebby from her...She changed...she wasn't the mother I used to know..."

"I see...So that is what you think about it." They turn around to see Lusamine with Aurora. Lillie tries to run but Ash stops her. "Wait, Lillie. She is your mother's other self."

"Huh?" Lillie is confused as Lusamine hugs her, much to her surprise. "I called Wicke and I learned everything. I can't believe that my other self has been doing this to you and Gladion. I am really sorry."

"Mother..." Lillie mutters.

"Kukui also told me that you have been escaping the Aether Foundation for three months, right? I am sorry that you have to endure that." Lusamine says with a frown.

Lillie says, "So are you really Mother? The one who cherishes us the most? I missed you so much..."

"I am sorry..." Lusamine says as they have a great reunion. Then Ash asks, "Mother, can't Ms. Lusamine go back to the Aether Foundation to absorb what seems to be an evil version of herself?"

Aurora frowns, "I am afraid that it is impossible yet. Because the reason Lillie and Gladion have returned back to their own self is because of large energies that causes them. Much like the explosion or something that almost killed them. As for Lusamine...she hasn't suffer enough to return its own self..."

Lillie and Lusamine also hear it as they frown. Lusamine turns to Ash and says, "If my other self is doing what seems to be evil things, can I trust you two to help me stop her?" Ash and Lillie nod and they want to help her out. Then they go back into the house so that Lillie and Lusamine can talk for a while.

As the dusk is there, Ash and Lillie decide to go to Iki Town for the festival as they are wandering around Route 1. They find some mice Pokemon running around as Ash asks, "Is that Rattata? But why is it black colored?"

Lillie says, "That is the Alolan Version of Rattata. It is Dark and Normal Type."

Then Ash decides to battle the Pokemon with the help of Litten, and then he captures the Pokemon easily.

"Now that is a new partner." Ash says as he sends Rattata back out and then bonds with him.

Then he also captures a Spinarak who has been using the webs to block their path, and then they finally reach the Iki Town for the festival.

They have been enjoying the stands together and the Pokemon around, but then they are ambushed by a Pikipek and Rowlet who is very hungry. So they share some food for them and then they capture the two Pokemon.

After that, they see Hala walking towards them as he says, "The Alola Region is made up of our four islands. And each island has its own guardian Pokemon. Our festival today is held to express our thanks to these great Pokemon guardian deities for always remaining by our sides."

"That's great." Ash says, "Right, Lillie?"

"I guess so." Lillie says with a smile.

"Well, we may call it a festival, but it's just this little thing you see here. There may not be many of us, but at least every last one of us here goes all out."

"I see." Ash says. Then they also notice Hau and he says, "Ho! Howzit, Ash? Lillie? Man, I thought you'd never make it! Me and Rowlet've been waiting for ages."

"What do you mean?" Ash asks.

"Hold on...Didn't anyone explain to you about tonight?!" Hau asks as they shake heads. Golly and Kukui arrive and then Kukui says, "Oh yeah, right on time."

"But to what exactly?" Lillie asks.

"A full-powered festival for Pokemon battling! We battle in name of Tapu Koko, pitting our best moves against one another in friendly competition to please our guardian, Woo!"

Golly says, "So Hau and brother will be taking part in the battle?"

"I don't like seeing Pokemon fight one another, since they so often end up getting hurt..." Lillie mutters, but her Sylveon nuzzles her and she smiles and pets her. "But it seems like this is an important event, so Sylveon and I will be sure to watch you both."

Hau says, "And that is a nice Sylveon you have there, Lillie."

"I caught it back in the Kalos Region as the Eevee..." Lillie says with a little smile. "But I forget the details."

Ash says, "Don't worry, you will remember eventually."

Hala says, "Your Pokemon have fought for you, so show them the same care in return. Ash."

"I will." Ash says as they go to the battlefield, as everyone is there watching, including Aurora and Lusamine.

"For all life on our islands...and for those who undertake the island challenge with joy in their hearts...we pray for protection...for them and all Melemele. May this Pokemon battle be an offering to our island's guardian deity- Tapu Koko!"

As the crowd cheers, Hala says, "Before you stands Hau-grandson to the Kahuna. Before him stands Ash-one who has met with Tapu Koko."

As they both get to the stage, the crowd are murmuring. "What?" "What a curious little thing Tapu Koko is! Ha, that's just typical of it."

"Pikachu, take care of Ash, will you." Aurora says as Pikachu nods.

"As long as we both have a good time, then I think we can call it a great battle, eh?" Hau asks.

"You bet." Ash says.

"Ash, Hau. Bring forth the power of your Pokemon." Hala says as the battle begins with Hau sends out Pichu while Ash sends out Butterfree.

"Ash is in a disadvantage here..." Lillie mutters. "But Brother can do it." Golly says.

And in the end, Pichu is defeated with the Psychic as Pichu only uses Thunder Shock and Sweet Kiss. And then they both send out Rowlet together as they fight, but Ash's Rowlet is more like a speedy one as it beats him with the Peck.

"Hoo-ee! Another great battle this year." "I bet Tapu Koko liked it, too."

Hau recalls his Pokemon and says, "Phew...that was awesome, Ash. That was a really great battle! I had a blast fighting you."

Hala says, "It was a good battle. With this, even Tapu Koko..." Then they hear a sound and Ash asks, "What is that?"

"Ho! You heard it yourself! Tapu Koko's song of approval." Hala says. Then he walks towards Ash. "Oh, I nearly forgot. I think it is time you take this, Ash."

He gives him a ring and Ash is amazed by it. "What is this?"

"This is the Z Ring. A mysterious armband that an draw out the power that lies deep within Pokemon. It can bring forth their Z Power. We kahunas can make them by refining stones like the Sparkling Stone that you received from Tapu Koko. Although until you collect more Z-Crystals during your island challenge, you will not be able to draw out the Z-power of your Pokemon. And yet you have already received that Sparkling Stone...It seems Tapu Koko took quite a liking to you...or perhaps it has a mission for you."

"In other words, it's time for you to get out there and start your island challenge." Kukui says. "If you visit every island, maybe you'll figure out what that mission is."

"The Island Challenge?" Ash asks in confusion as well as Pikachu.

"Four Islands! You'll travel to each of the four islands here in the Alola Region. The island challenge is about aiming to be the strongest trainer- The Island Challenge champion. Woo!"

Hau says, "Sounds great, right? I can't wait to have a real adventure!"

"I'll explain about the Island challenge later!" Kukui says.

After the festival is over, they are going back home as Lillie says, "Tapu Koko is amazing, isn't it? I hope I can meet it again someday and thank it for saving Nebby..."

Nebby is shaking in Lillie's bag as Ash says, "Yeah, me too."

"You know, it really saved your life. And it even gifted you that sparkling stone...even though you are a stranger to this place." Lillie says as they finally reach their houses and then they bid farewell.

Here is a new chapter, and Lillie knows everything about herself as Serena and reunites with her Mother that is good. I hope you like it.
