Chapter 6
Ash and Lillie are now heading towards the Pokemon School while Golly goes back home. They encounter a Grubbin, who is trying to pinch Lillie's hat, so Ash tosses the Pokeball in order to help her out, both of them are surprised that the Pokeball even work and the Pokemon is captured. Then the next Pokemon they find is a Bonsly, who is fake tearing for food, but Ash and Lillie are both kind to give them the food and capture him.
After that, they go to the Pokemon Center, which turns out to be close to Ash's mansion. Lillie says, "Well, Ash. As you can see, I really can't stand seeing Pokemon in pain, so I really like to go here."
"I see." Ash says, "But now you are a Pokemon Trainer as well, so you should go let Nurse Joy check your Pokemon." Lillie nods and she goes to do it. Ash also notices a cafe shop and he asks, "Lillie? I don't think I have seen this before..."
"Oh, that is a cafe shop, I like to relax there sometimes with a frost glass of Moomoo Milk. I read something in a travel guide about Alola once...Apparently each Pokémon Center in Alola offers a different selection of drinks. I wonder how they pick what to serve?"
"I don't know." Ash says. "But I think whatever it served is very good to drink."
"The cafés may also offer more than just drinks. I've heard they also sell special treats and that sometimes the staff have tips for trial-goers."
"Well, that's great, how about we go relax for now?" Ash asks as Lillie nods.
As they each buy a Pinap Juice and Moomoo Milk to drink, Ash decides to ask Rotom about his new Pokemon's entry.
Rowlet, the Grass Quill Pokémon. A Grass and Flying type. It stores energy during the day from photosynthesis. It swoops down without making a sound and unleashes a powerful kick without being noticed.
Litten, the Fire Cat Pokémon. A Fire type. Litten show few emotions and prefer being alone. It takes time to build any level of trust.
Pikipek, the Woodpecker Pokémon. A Normal and Flying type. It can unleash sixteen pecks per second to drill a hole into a tree where it stores food.
Yungoos, the Loitering Pokémon. A Normal type. With its sharp fangs, it will bite anything. It did not originally live in Alola but was imported from another region.
Rattata, the Mouse Pokemon. A Dark and Normal Type. With its incisors, it gnaws through doors and infiltrates people's homes. Then, with a twitch of its whiskers, it steals whatever food it finds.
Grubbin, the Larva Pokémon. A Bug type. Grubbin scrapes trees with its large jaws and drinks their sap. It makes its home underground.
"And that's all of them for now." Ash says, "Thanks, Rotom."
"At your service, Roto." Rotom says as he goes back into his backpack. Lillie also giggles at the Rotom's antics, before they are called to bring their Pokemon back.
"We should head to the Trainers' School next." Lillie says as they exit the Pokemon Center, but as they head outside, they walk until they can see the Trainer's school up ahead.
"Here we are. You see, the Trainers' School is...It's a...a... What in the world?!" Lillie gasps as they see a Tauros charging over to them. Ash says, "Pikachu, stop it with Iron Tail!"
After calming the Tauros down, Ash asks, "Are you okay? Lillie?"
"I'm just surprised, that's all." Lillie says, "We'll just leave that for someone else to deal with. Come. Follow me."
Ash nods and they enter the Pokemon Trainer's School, only to find Professor Kukui talking to a man that looks like Professor Oak.
"Hey there, Ash! I must've passed you two somehow, yeah?" Kukui says. "But welcome to the Trainers' School, the place to learn how to be a Pokémon Trainer!"
Ash notices the Professor Oak and says, "Professor Oak? What are you doing here? And why are you so black all of a sudden?"
"Ah, you must have met my cousin. Alola, I am Samson Oak and it is nice to meet you-Trapinch." Samson says with a pose, but this causes Ash to sweat drop.
"Principal Samson likes to have some Pokemon Puns, so you just need to get used to it." Kukui says.
Ash says, "Wait, Professor Oak asks me to give this egg to you." Ash hands over the egg and he says, "Ah, thank you for sending this to me."
"But why do you need this egg?" Lillie asks.
"Besides the Principal, I'm a Pokémon researcher, and I'm looking into the regional forms found around here." (I am not doing the Pokemon puns for Samson, so I'll just write the dialogue normally.) " Since you're out and about exploring on your island challenge, you must already know about regional variants, don't you?"
"Well, I just called a Rattata here." Ash says. "But can you explain some more?"
"Just as I would have expected! Regional variants... They arise when the influences of a particular region cause a Pokémon's physical aspect and even type to change." He looks at Ash's Pikachu and says, "Just like a Raichu. Do you know that Raichu living in Alola is not only an Electric Type, but it is also a Psychic Type?"
"A Psychic Type Raichu...that is so interesting." Ash says with stars in his eyes, but Pikachu just mutters, "Not going to evolve into that either."
Kukui says, "By the way, Ash. I have a quest for you." He suddenly shows four fingers and says, "Four Trainers! You've got to beat four Pokémon Trainers here at the school, Ash! The experience will surely help you and your Pokémon grow stronger, yeah."
"The trainers who will take part in this lesson may he inside or outside the school." Samson adds. "You may also want to visit our classrooms, and you'll be sure to learn a lot."
Kukui says, "And Lillie, Samson and I have a favor to ask you. Can you come with us to the office?"
Lillie is surprised and she says, "Um...sure?"
Once the three of them leave Ash, he goes to challenge the four students. In the office, Lillie asks, "Principal Oak, what do you want to do with me?"
"I heard that because of Ash here, you are now able to become a Pokemon Trainer, so I want you to help me out with something."
"What is it?" Lillie asks.
Samson Oak takes out an egg, it is white color with flowers on it. "I want you to take care of this egg for me, is that fine with you?"
"Me? But why me?" Lillie asks in surprise. "I don't know how to raise an egg..."
Sylveon wraps her feelers around her arms, telling her not to worry, Lillie can only sigh in agreement as she takes the egg. But the egg starts to glow as she is surprised.
"Oh my, it seems like it is going to hatch already." Kukui says.
"Hatch?" Lillie says in surprise and then the Pokemon that pops out is a Vulpix, but it is different from the others since it is white. The fox Pokemon then looks at Lillie, who flinches as she doesn't know what to do.
"Hello?" Lillie asks, and the fox Pokemon jumps into her arms and calling her mama. Oak says, "My, seems like this little dude is already have a liking on you."
Kukui says, "I agree. After all, she just hatched and the first one she sees is you, it is no wonder she likes you."
Just then, Ash comes into the office and he says, "I finished the trial, Principal Oak...Lillie? Is that a Vulpix?"
Lillie says, "Well...I..." Pikachu goes to greet the Pokemon, but it is getting a little shy as she hides behind Lillie's leg. With Sylveon's help, she manages to open up a little.
"Well, I can't believe that you beat all of my students, Ash." Oak says. "Maybe you will like to become a student here?"
"I will like to, but I need to challenge the trials." Ash says with a little frown.
"All joking aside, though, as you can see, this Pokemon is a Vulpix from Alola and it was just hatched from an egg." Kukui says.
"Wow, it is nice to meet you." Ash says, but the fox is surprised at the closeness as she accidentally uses Icy Wind to freeze him. "Ash!" Lillie gasps as she sends out Delphox, using the Flamethrower to thwart it out.
"So this Vulpix is an Ice Type..." Ash mutters while shivering, and the fox Pokemon apologizes to him and calls him Daddy, this causes Lillie to blush very hard and she almost faints because of it.
"So Lillie, have you caught it yet?" Ash asks, Lillie comes back to her senses and she says, "I haven't. Do you think I should catch it?"
"Of course." Ash says. Lillie isn't certain, still being scared as Vulpix approaches her. It is clear the Vulpix wants her to be its trainer as the others encourage her.
Lillie agrees and Professor Kukui hands her a Poké Ball. She throws it to catch Snowy but the ball ends up hitting Ash on the head. "I'm sorry, Ash."
"It is fine." Ash says with a smile. "It is a good thing I was captured, but I don't mind if I captured by you." Ash says causing both of them to blush.
The Vulpix goes over to the fallen Poké Ball, before looking at Lillie and pressing the capture button, getting itself caught. Lillie is surprised and both happy about her new capture, and she decides to call her Snowy.
"Nice name, Lillie." Ash says as he asks Rotom to scan the Pokemon. Vulpix, Alola Form. The Fox Pokémon. An Ice type. Vulpix is covered in white fur and was discovered on Mount Lanakila. Its breath can reach a temperature of 60 below zero, freezing anything it touches.
Just then, a person comes inside the office and he says, "I'm back, Professor Kukui, Principal Samson." Then he notices the two and says, "Oh, Greetings! Captain Ilima here. You must be Ash right? I couldn't help but observe your battles."
"Yeah, that was me." Ash says. "And thank you for showing me the way to the office back then."
"No problem. You looked so very delightful in battle that I had no choice but to summon you here." Ilima says.
Kukui says, "Ilima, if you want to know, Ash moved here to Alola from the Kanto Region. He's got a real sense for how to use moves, and I think he's gonna go far as a Trainer, yeah."
"I see! Then welcome, newcomer. I look forward to seeing the brilliance of your moves in my trial."
"Your trial?" Ash asks in confusion.
"Indeed! We captains are the ones who conduct the trials you will face on your way to challenging the island kahuna. My trial is held in Verdant Cavern. The trial of Captain Ilima. I sincerely look forward to your challenge."
"Okay." Ash says. Then they leave so that Ilima can talk to Principal Oak. Lillie asks, "Is that Ilima also one of your students? Professor Kukui?"
"Why yes, he graduated and he also went to Kalos for university." Kukui says. "When he comes back, Hala asks him to be a Trial Captain."
"I see. Then let's go to Verdant Cavern for now." Ash says as they bid farewell to Professor Kukui and the students that Ash has battled before reaching the office.
Here is a new chapter, and Ash has met Ilima for the first time. Not only that, Lillie finally get Snowy in her team. I hope you like it.
