Chapter 7
Ash and Lillie have left the school and Lillie says, "You know...I was really impressed seeing you battled with your Pokemon at the trainer's school. And even back when we are in Kalos, Ash...Not only that, you also saved Nebby. You were chosen by your Pokemon so quickly...I understand why now."
"That's great." Ash says, "Just take it slowly, and you will remember everything about our journeys together." Pikachu and Sylveon also yelp in agreement, while Snowy is a little confused. Sylveon uses the opportunity to talk to them about it.
As they see the Tauros still blocking the road, Lillie says, "Oh! I forgot about the Tauros..."
But they also notice Hau and Hala there petting the Tauros. Hala says, "Ho! If it isn't Lillie and Ash. Sorry for scaring you, friend. I guess it's time I get old Tauros back home."
"So this Tauros is yours Hala?" Ash asks.
"Why of course. But before that, why don't you give him a little pat first, Ash? Lillie?"
"I don't think I will want to." Lillie says, but Ash says, "Don't worry, Lillie. Tauros is a good Pokemon and I promise it won't hurt you."
Lillie still has doubts, but with Ash's persuasion, she walks towards it and then touches it gently, and it moos very happily. "How is it? Lillie?" Ash asks.
"It feels...nice..." Lillie replies.
"Ha ha ha! You see that? This rascal already loves you! Pokémon become happier when we show them some care." Hala says.
Then he and Tauros are going to leave, before bidding farewell, he says, "Wa ha ha! Oh the places you'll go, child! And as you do, you will surely meet more Pokémon and people who will enrich your life."
After Hala and Tauros left, Hau says, "The kahunas sure are something, eh? Able to calm a raging Pokémon without even needing to battle... Now that's something! I mean, I like Tauros plenty and all... but it is pretty scary! I don't want to ride on it!"
"I won't be so sure, I did capture a lot of Tauros back in Kanto, and I am sure that riding them is really fun." Ash says.
"Speaking of which, if you captured 30 Tauros back then, where are they now?" Lillie asks. "The last time I come to your house, I only find one."
"I traded them away, because I want them to be happier as I might only use one Tauros for battle..." Ash says with a frown, but he knows that it is just a lie. Because who will believe that he changes all the Tauros' species?
"I see." Lillie says. "That is very thoughtful of you."
"So where are you two off to now?" Hau asks.
Lillie says, "Well, I was thinking I should show Ash around Hau'oli City a bit."
"Nice idea! You're always on top of things, Lillie! Ash just got here to Alola, huh? Then let me tag along, too! I wanna go get something good to eat!" Hau says excitedly.
"All right. Let's all go together." Ash says as Lillie nods.
"Then what're we waiting for! This way! Come on!" Hau rushes ahead and Lillie sighs, "Oh, Hau... I guess we should go catch up with him before he gets too far, Ash. Hau'oli City is the biggest city in all Alola. But I know it is not as much as Lumiose City."
"It is fine. Let's just go." Ash says as they try to catch up to Hau.
Once they enter the Hau'oli City, Ash and the Pokemon are marveling at the sight of the big city. Hau rushes to the beach and yells, "Beach time! Yeaaahhh!"
Ash and Lillie have wry smile on their faces until a woman comes. "Hey you, you've come to Alola from someplace far off, haven't you? I can tell."
"Well, I am from Kanto." Ash says, "And I did come to Alola recently."
"Then let me teach you the proper way to greet someone in Alola." The girl then uses her arms to draw a circle and she says, "Alola."
Ash and Lillie watch the demonstration and they seem to get it. "You give it a try, too! Just like that: "Alola!" You'll make more friends if you say it."
Ash and Lillie try it out, and the woman nods with approval, then they bid farewell as they continue forward. "The people in Alola sure is friendly." Ash says.
"That's right." Lillie says, then they decide to relax at the beach for a while before getting back into the city. Ash and Lillie are watching how Pikachu, Rotom, Nebby, Sylveon and Snowy playing in the sand and they are smiling at it.
Once they are back at the Shopping District, they hear Hau's voice. ""He-e-ey! Ash! Lillie! I thought I recognized the sound of those feet!"
He walks towards the group and says, "So what do you think? Hau'oli is something, eh? Alola's gotta be the best place ever to live!"
"Well, everyone has different interests. I think every region is unique." Ash says. "But surely, Alola is a good place to live in."
Hau turns to the Tourist Bureau and says, "Oh yeah! Hey, guys. Come in here with me. I've got a good idea of something you could do!"
The two are confused as they follow Hau inside the place, Hau goes to the counter and he asks, "Hey, miss. Is it true that you can get some kinda special gift if you have a Rotom Dex?"
"My goodness, you get the news fast." The staff member says. "Hardly anyone has a Rotom Dex, but it is true that we have a special item to go with it. And it is our very own Poke Finder, here you go."
Rotom gets the prize and he says, "Thank you, now updating Roto..."
"Isn't that awesome, Ash? You got a Poké Finder!" Hau says.
"So, like, what's a Poké Finder?" Ash asks.
"The Poke Finder is a tool that lets you take photos of Pokemon." Lillie says, "I have read it from a book, and it says that Rotom will help point out places where you'll be able to take photos, too."
"Here, this is the instruction manual." The staff says as she gives Ash the book, after reading it, Ash says, "Man, that Rotom Dex is cool!"
"You're right. It's like a whole nother partner, player! I mean, on top of your Pokémon partner!" Hau replies. "Oh, but I guess since it's Rotom inside... it pretty much is a Pokémon partner? Either way, you're pretty darn lucky. Meet you outside when you're done in here!"
Hau rushes out of the place and Lillie mutters, "The photos you can snap of Pokemon with a Poke Finder..."
"Did you say anything, Lillie?" Ash asks.
"Nothing." Lillie says as they also head out.
Just as they head outside, they hear Rotom says, "Update complete." Then he starts to flash and it surprised the group. "Huh?"
"Ahahaha! What was that for, Rotom? Go and put that little trickster back in your Bag, Ash, and follow me! Enough feasting for the eyes... It's time we take care of our stomachs!"
"Rotom, come back for now." Ash says as Rotom flies back into his backpack. Hau rushes ahead to go find something to eat. Lillie says, "Maybe Rotom just wants to flaunt its new camera function and take more photos... Have you thought about trying it out? I think I'll go stop by the apparel shop to do some shopping of my own..."
"Lillie, how about I come with you?" Ash offers, much to her surprise. "But you didn't like shopping and I don't want to force you..."
"It is fine, what matters is that I am not leaving you alone." Ash says as Lillie can only sigh.
Once they go to the apparel shop, Lillie asks, "Oh. Ash... Tell me, do you pick out all your own clothes?"
"Well, my mother kinda helps me with the clothes stuff..." Ash rubs his head.
"Oh, your mother must have a great sense of style then. I love the way that you dress." Lillie giggles, and Ash is blushing.
"I...I've always just worn the clothes that my mother wanted me to wear. I don't really know what kind of thing would suit me..." Lillie frowns. "But I assume Serena is different?"
"Well, she always pick the opposite of what her mother chooses." Ash says with a smile.
As they enter the clothes shop, Ash has been helping her with the clothes and they also receive a red ribbon just because they are the 99999th customer to come into the store.
"I think this is kinda familiar..." Ash says, "Wait, Lillie. Did you have the Blue Ribbon that I gave you?"
Lillie says, "Do you mean this? I don't know why I have it." She shows him the ribbon and Ash says, "Well, the same thing happened to us back in the Kalos Region, but I give this Blue Ribbon to you as a gift, and you have been keeping it since then."
"Really...then I should give you this Red ribbon." Lillie gives the red one to him and he is surprised. ""It looks like we have something in common now, don't we, Ash? Hee..."
Ash also laughs with Lillie as they head out of the Apparel Shop, and they decide to find Hau. As they are finding him, they hear a couple talking, "I saw those Team Skull numskulls loitering around the Marina again. I reported it to the captain of course."
"This is what happens when young people have nothing to do and too much time on their hands!" "What a bunch of useless thugs! All they do is drag Trainers into battles they don't want and try to steal people's Pokemon!" "I heard they keep trying to sneak into the trial site to steal Pokemon to sell...and that they fail every single time."
Ash turns to Lillie, "Team Skull? Is it another evil organization?"
Lillie says, "I am not sure, but I think that they are much like Team Rocket if you ask me."
Just then, they stop at a food store and Hau is there waiting for them. "Howzit, Ash! Lillie! If you're looking for good eats, you've found 'em!"
"So this is where you were this whole time?" Lillie asks.
"Yeah, Plus malasada make your Pokémon like you. And affectionate Pokémon are better in battle! Who could resist giving their Pokémon a few malasada, eh? They're just so cute!"
"What is a malasada?" Ash asks as the other five Pokemon are confused.
"I almost forgot you are new to this island." Hau says as he orders some as they eat indoors. Ash tastes a bite and he says, "It sure is good."
"Of course it is good." Hau says. "Now that I've got some fuel in me, I wanna go right down to the Marina and scream out loud... "Watch me, Tutu!" No... "Watch me, world! I'm gonna beat even my old gramps someday!""
After Hau leaves, Ash and Lillie continue their eating and Lillie is surprised to see Ash eating slowly and gently. She asks, "Ash? What's the matter? You usually gobble down your food back when we are at Kalos."
Ash frowns and says, "Well, a lot of things happened, and I just didn't want to think of food like I used to..."
"You can tell me what is it, maybe I can help you." Lillie says.
"I really hope you can, but I was worried about you. I really don't want you to be in danger again." Ash says, which causes Lillie to be surprised. "Thank you, Ash. I promise I will try to be careful, but don't make me worry about you just because you are worried of me, okay?"
Ash nods as they continue to eat their malasadas.
Here is a new chapter, and both Ash and Lillie are now in Hau'oli City, the next of this two part chapter is going to be entering Team Skull and capture new Pokemon.
