Chapter 14

After the training with Lillie for the upcoming Island Festival, Ash and Lillie have been staying at Professor Kukui's house. As they are resting at the house, Ash asks, "Hey, Lillie. Have you noticed something strange? Where is Rockruff?"

"Come to think of it...I haven't seen him today, strange..." Lillie says.

Kukui says, "Don't worry about it, I am sure that it is going somewhere to play."

Just then, the said Pokemon soon returns, injured. "What happened to you?" Ash and Lillie rush towards the Pokemon, who is giving them a sad smile. Professor Kukui gives him a Potion to spray, but it is roaring in pain.

"Could it be that Rockruff has gotten into a fight?" Lillie asks.

"It could be..." Ash says, "Rockruff, can you tell us what happened to you?"

Rockruff just thinks a little and then it rushes off, Ash, Lillie and Professor Kukui follow it as they are now at the entrance of the Ten Carat Hill.

"That is the Ten Carat Hill..." Kukui says. "I heard that there are some ferocious Pokemon living there."

"I think we should go check it out." Ash says as they enter the place.

Once they get inside, they follow Rockruff as they are now at the Farthest Hollow, and much to their surprise, they see that the place is filled with Spearow and also Trumbeaks. As they notice the three, they start attacking them.

"So those are the ones that give the damage to the Rockruff?" Lillie asks while trying to use her hands to protect herself.

But Rockruff uses the Rock Throw at the bird Pokemon, causing some of them to faint, Ash says, "I guess the aren't if they were beaten this easily...Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!"

Pikachu also uses the attack to fries the birds, causing them to faint in the end. Kukui says, "This is quite strange, if my memories are correct, neither of the birds live in this place, how come they are here?"

Just then, they hear a loud roar and then a giant Toucannon with a giant Oricorio arrive at the place with Orange Auras, Rotom yells, "Those are Totem Pokemon!"

"Totem Pokemon? But I thought that we already finish the trial already!" Lillie says.

Just then, Rockruff starts to bark, both Ash and Lillie hear him yelling, "I am here for revenge! Come and fight me!"

Ash says, "I see, so they are actually the ones that give damage to the Rockruff."

Lillie says, "What are we going to do Ash? Are we going to fight them?"

"We might as well." Ash says, "Rockruff, you can't do this alone, let us help you."

Rockruff nods at Ash and then Lillie sends out Snowy to battle. Oricorio uses the Revelation Dance as it hits Rockruff, causing it to get shocked by electricity. Ash says, "Calm down, Rockruff, use Bite."

Rockruff bites on the wing, causing it to roar in pain. Lillie says, "Snowy, use Icy Wind."

Snowy fires the attack at the Toucannon, but the beak heats up and then it melts the ice, much to their horror.

"Watch out, that is Beak Blast." Kukui yells, and Snowy gets hit by the attack and then it gets burned.

"Snowy!" Serena yells in horror, and Ash says, "Rockruff, Rock Throw again." Rockruff throws the rocks at the two Pokemon, causing them to be in pain.

"Good, it's working." Ash says as both he and Lillie take their Normalium Z in their Z Rings and they start to do their pose.

"Breakneck Blitz!" Both attacks hit the two Pokemon, causing them to faint in the end.

"We did it..." Ash says as he sighs in relief along with Lillie. But as the two birds Pokemon get back up, they approach Ash and Lillie, much to their surprise. Ash even raises his hand in front of Lillie.

"We are not going to harm you." The Toucannon says.

"You prove that you are stronger than us, you should accept these." Oricorio says as they take out two Z Crystals, Kukui widen his eyes and says, "Those are Flyinium Z!"

Ash and Lillie take the Z Crystals and they reach in the air, "We got the Flyinium Z!"

Then Lillie turns to the two birds, she asks, "But why did you attack Rockruff?"

Oricorio says, "We should apologize, when we are finding a new nest, we found this place and this Rockruff is using it, so we ask if we can stay here, only to be attacked by this Pokemon."

"I see..." Ash says as he pets Rockruff. "So you want to stay here?"

The two nod as then Ash turns to Rockruff, "You know, Rockruff, you did a good job in the battle."

Rockruff nuzzles at Ash with affection, Kukui asks, "By the way, Ash? Do you want to capture this Rockruff?"

"But isn't it your..." Ash asks, Kukui interrupts and says, "Don't worry, it is a wild Pokemon. And he has more trust in you than anyone else as."

With Pikachu and Rockruff both agreeing, Ash gets out a Poké Ball and catches Rockruff. Rotom says, "Rockruff, the Puppy Pokémon. A Rock type. Rockruff have lived with humans since ancient times. They train themselves by running around."

Before they leave, Oricorio says, "Wait just a second." As they turn around, it says, "If you want to use the Flyinium Z, which is the move Supersonic Skystrike, then you will have to do this first."

It first bends down and then it reaches one arm in the sky, like a rocket blasting off, Lillie says, "Okay, we will keep in mind with that."

After they leave the hollow, Kukui says, "You know, I am quite surprised that you two managed to defeat another trial which is not in the list of the seven trials."

"I think maybe we should tell Hala about this, that way he can make it into a normal trial." Lillie says as they nod. Then they start to capture some Pokemon located in this place.

As they are near the river, they see a Pokemon standing there tilting his head while looking at them. "Oh my, so cute." Lillie says as she hugs the Pokemon.

"It is a Psyduck, I knew it since one of my friends have one."

"Really?" Lillie says with a smile. "Can I have one as well?"

"That is if this Pokemon wants to join us." Ash says as he accidentally drops his Pokeball to the ground, and the Pokemon just jumps out of Lillie's arms and taps it. "Well, I guess it really wants to come."

"Yeah." Lillie says. After that, they also see a Machop training at a wall.

"Wow, a Machop...it is a great Fighting Type Pokemon." Lillie says.

"I know, and I am going to capture it." Ash says as he sends out Rowlet to battle. Rowlet uses the Gust, and the Machop just jumps and does a backflip, dodging the attack and eventually uses the Karate Chop.

"What skill." Ash says, and then he uses the move again and this time it defeats the Machop, capturing it in the end.

As for Lillie, she looks around and she sees a Pokemon resting by and it looks like jewels, Lillie says, "If I remember, those are Carbink...I am going to capture them."

Then she uses Pangoro to attack one of them with the Karate Chop, but the one tries to use Moonblast, Lillie is surprised as she quickly tells the Panda Pokemon to dodge it. In the end, it uses Bullet Punch to defeat it, giving her the capture.

At the same time, Ash also spot two more crystals, which turns out to be the eyes of the Sableye. Ash uses Sylveon to battle against the Pokemon, with the help of Fairy Wind, Sableye is quickly defeated and Ash captures it.

"You know, Sableye is not scary as I heard..." Lillie says after noticing the Pokemon. "Yeah. But it is said to steal a person's soul if they look into its eyes." Ash says, causing Lillie to shriek again.

Kukui sighs and says, "Ash, stop scaring her." Ash apologizes to Lillie, only to get a playful punched by her.

And the final Pokemon they find in the cave is a Spinda, they find a lot of them with different spots, Ash asks, "Lillie, which spot do you want to capture?"

Lillie says, "How about that one? It has a heart shape?" Lillie points at the one who is looking at them curiously. "A heart shaped Spinda is very hard to find." Kukui says, and if a couple finds them, then they are bound to be married."

This causes the two of them to blush and then they quickly capture the Pokemon before they are getting annoyed by the teasing from both the Professor and their Pokemon.

In Iki Town, Ash and Lillie are having a meeting with Hala as he says, "I see...so you said that you have accidentally finished a trial which is not included in the Island Challenge yet, and you got the Flyinium Z in the end."

"Yeah, Mr. Hala. Do you know what could that mean?" Lillie asks.

"Maybe our guardian thinks that one might not be enough." Hala laughs, "This sure is getting interesting, I will make sure that the officials will go there and set up a trial site."

"That will be great." Ash says. "And about the Island Festival..."

After explain about the whole thing to Hala, he says, "I see, so you want this kind of battles into Alola. Don't worry, child. I am very approved of this, and I know a place for you to set it up in this Iki Town."

And after these days, even though they haven't find a Trial Captain for the Flying Type Trial, they get permission from Oricorio and Toucannon to set up a Trial site for the Ten Carat Hill as a Flying Type Trial. Not only that, the Island Festival stadium in the Hau'oli City is finished and both Ash and Lillie have tried out the stages and the battle format with Aurora and Palermo watching at the stands. It turns out that their responses are positive and they can spread the news to the whole Alola Region.

With the help of Aurora, they manage to put a website of this activity so that they can find people to participate, even though the first participants are a few number, they want to make it a success as they are working hard to prepare it. After two days, it will be the time when the first Island Festival starts.

Here is a new chapter, and Ash and Lillie accidentally win against their second trial of the story, the Flying Type Trial. If you play the game, you will know that the Flyinium Z requires the Machomp to get it, but I decide to let them get it first so that it will be better for the story. I hope you like this chapter and the next one will be the Kala'e Bay and the first Island Festival.
