Chapter 22

As Ash, Lana and Lillie leave the trial site, Lana says, "Next is Kiawe's trial. It will take place at Wela Volcano Park. Oh. And that reminds me... Did you see any Sudowoodo by Paniola Ranch? They were causing some trouble for people, so I gave them a little dose of Z-Power using my Waterium Z. Just a little lesson for them. I wonder how they will react now that they see that you have Waterium Z, too? Heh."

After she leaves them alone, Ash turns to Lillie and says, "Since we are here, how about we try out fishing?"

Lillie says, "That sounds fun, maybe we should try it out."

As they go fishing, the two of them manage to fish out two Pokemon, one is a Goldeen, and the other one is a Alomomola. They manage to capture both of them as they want to complete the Pokedex.

Lillie says, "I think I have remembered something again...Ash..."

"Really? What did you remember this time?" Ash asks, hope is filling in his eyes, and Lillie says, "I remember..." She opens the bag and she takes out a photo, and Ash gasps as it is the photo that was taken in the Geosenge Town. "This is the time when we are helping Korrina find the Mega Stone for Lucario, right?"

"That's right." Ash says, "Did you see the picture, we were standing this close together." Lillie starts to blush at Ash's words and she says, "I know..."

there was a time, when we were separated in a cave...because you jumped into the mirror...and I also saw it...another me and two of you at the other side of the mirror..."

Ash says, "That is when we are at the Reflection Cave..."

"I thought that you were going to be gone in my life forever..." Lillie says with a frown, and Ash gives her a hug and says, "Don't worry, just like what you ask me, we should be together from now on, and I told you, the answer is obvious."

Lillie is now as red as a tomato as she says, "And there is one time in the Summer Camp...I accidentally drag you down the cliff, which caused your ankle to get hurt..."

"Oh, you don't need to worry, it is thanks to you that it managed to get healed." Ash says, and Lillie nods. "And that is all I can remember."

"I guess we should stay together for more so we can unlock all your memories." Ash then grabs Lillie as they leave the Brooklet Hill, and now they are back at the Paniola Town as they need to host the Island Festival.

"Welcome to the Island Festival in the Paniola Town, we are going to have the Obstacle Course. Thanks for the staff of the Paniola Ranch, they manage to help made this Free-style performance a reality. Like usual, we will have three contestants compete in the same round, and only one will advance to the battle rounds. Now please welcome the contestants with their Pokemon."

Lillie and Nurse Joy are now watching how the obstacle course go, and they notice that Moon is in this festival this time, and she is using Torracat, and the Pokemon get through the course with ease, so she is the one that advances to the next round. And they also see some contestants trying to cheat their way, they are all disqualified in the end as Lillie hates people like them.

After the rounds are over, Ash and Lillie are now at the backstage as they greet the contestants who are preparing for the battle rounds. "So how are your Pokemon doing?"

Moon says, "We met again, Mr. Satoshi, Ms. Serena. The obstacle course is so much fun." Another contestant says, "Indeed, I am glad that we have speedy and careful Pokemon to help us win the rounds."

Lillie says, "Glad you like it, and I hope you all will do great in the battle rounds." As they leave the area, they suddenly hear a voice. "It really is you, Serena!"

Both Ash and Lillie turn around and they see a group of three rushing towards them. Lillie says, "Shauna? Trevor? Tierno? What are you doing here?"

Tierno says, "You are really beautiful even though you are wearing a mask..." Trevor quickly shuts him up and says, "We heard about the Island Festival from Marin so we come to Alola to check it out. But why are you wearing a mask?"

Ash says, "She has her reasons to wear it." Ash takes off his mask and the other three are surprised, "Ash? Is that you?"

"So you two are a thing now?" Tierno asks, and Ash says, "You can say so, but we have to go since we are going to judge for the next round. So we'll see you later."

The three can only nod as Ash drags Lillie away, and Lillie asks, "Ash? What are you doing?"

"Do you forget? We need to quickly finish the Island Festival so we can go talk to them." Ash says as they nod.

After finishing the match, with Moon being the winner and earn the Obstacle Sticker, Ash and Lillie go to greet Shauna, Trevor and Tierno. Shauna says, "Wow, I didn't know you two were the judges. You two really are doing well."

Trevor says, "Yeah, we are sorry that we almost make you unable to get to judge on time. I am sure that the audience don't like it."

"It is fine." Ash says, "Why don't we have a talk in the Pokemon Center?"

They all nod as they get into the Pokemon Center, and they hear about what happened to Lillie and they are feeling sorry for her.

"We already heard it from Marin about what happened...but still...did you really forget about what you did in the Showcase?" Shauna asks.

Lillie shakes her head and says, "But now I remember our first meeting and the Summer Camp."

"That is a great progress." Tierno says, "I can tell that you two really care for each other."

"Yeah..." Ash says, "So what are you going to do here?"

Shauna says, "We are going on a vacation, so we might be heading back to Melemele Island for rest."

"What about you guys? Where are you going?" Trevor asks.

"We are going to the Wela Volcano Park, since we are on a quest to find some Z Crystals." Ash says.

After biding farewell to the three of them, they head to the Route 6, and they see how the Sudowoodo are pretending as trees as they block their way.

"So that is what Lana means..." Ash says as he takes out the Waterium Z and Milotic. "Use Hydro Vortex."

Ash does the dance pose and then a tornado created by water is dragging Sudowoodo into the air as they are spinning around and around. After that, the Sudowoodo all run away in horror as Lillie says, "I guess we did it."

"Yeah." Ash says.

As they head south to Route 6, they find some bird like Pokemon that are dancing. Ash asks, "Rotom, what is that Pokemon?"

"Oricorio, the Dancing Pokémon. Pa'u Style. A Psychic and Flying type. By singing and dancing, its Psychic powers get stronger and stronger."

"So this is another Oricorio and it is a Psychic Type?" Ash asks, "This is so cool."

"Yeah, and we already have one Oricorio, so we don't need to capture another one again." Lillie says.

As they continue walking, they find a girl with a Mudsdale standing in front of Team Skull grunts. The Mudsdale notices Ash and it gives out a neigh. The girl turns around and asks, "You there, Trainer. Can you come to my aid?"

"Sure? What seems to be the problem?" Lillie asks, but then they hear the Team Skull grunts saying. "Yo, yo, yo! Don't go turning your backside on us!"

"And YOU! You're those numskull Trainers from Melemle, yo!" The other grunt says.

The girl says, "These scoundrels are Pokémon thieves. And you're on familiar terms with them?"

Ash decides to play with them and says, "I don't know who they are."

"Yo, for real?!" The first grunt says with shock, and Lillie says, "You wore the same masks and the same hairstyles, how would I remember any one of you?"

"I am Hapu." The girl introduces herself. "Life in the big city sure is something else. Pokémon thieves roam about brazenly...Hmm, I leave that one to you."

The grunt feels offended and he says, "We're not thieves, yo! It's a legitimate business!"

"We got straight messed up in Melemele...got exiled to Akala...but we ain't goin' out like that!"

Then Ash decides to help the girl battle a Team Skull grunt, who uses a Drowzee again, Ash sends out the Crabrawler again and Drowzee is easily get knocked out.

"Not again...with all these losses, we're gonna anger our bosses!" The grunt yells. "These tears taste like salt, yo! It's all your fault, yo!"

They start to blame the wild Drifloon, who looks at them with confusion. But Mudsdale from Hapu manages to scare them away as Hapu says, "Mudsdale, shall we stomp these scoundrels? It'll be a mess to clean up afterward, but I am willing if you are."

"Time for us to break out, yo! Gotta tell y'all peace out, yo!" "I'm not gonna keep telling you this...except when I keep telling you this! You better listen to what my homie says and drill it into that thick skull of yours! Seriously! You'd better not forget, numskull!"

As they run away, Hapu turns to the Drifloon, "You'll be fine getting home?" It just nods as it floats away.

"Glad to see that one will get home on her own. I've got you to thank for that. Give me your name, Trainer."

"I am Ash, and this is Lillie." Ash says, and Hapu says, "Those are fine names. I like the way you handled yourself in battle."

"Thanks?" Ash says.

"Mudsdale and I are always wandering all about Alola to try to achieve our goals, so perhaps we'll meet again someday. I am indebted to you for your aid, after all."

She notices the gate and says, "Ah yes. You might want to try your hand at a Battle Royal or two, player. Mudsdale here thinks you'd be well suited to it, given how strong you are."

After that, she leaves as Ash and Lillie are going to enter the Royale Avenue.

Here is a new chapter, and I decide to add a little reunion in this chapter, as Shauna, Trevor and Tierno are here. But don't worry, they will be appearing again since I have something planned for them in the future.
