Chapter 32

Ash, Hop, Lusamine, and Wicke are surprised to see the Jellyfish Pokemon coming from some sort of portal, and it is looking at them with confusion.

"Did you come... from another world?" Lusamine asks the jellyfish Pokemon.

Hop rushes forward and says, "Miss Lusamine, stand back! That thing's...not right!"

Lusamine just shakes her head and says, "You poor creature..."

Hau says, "Ash. Can you distract that thing? I've gotta get Miss Lusamine outta here..."

Ash nods as he is about to fight, but Rotom Dex flies towards Ash and says, "I've never seen a Pokemon like that! Are we really gonna fight that...that thing?"

Ash says, "We should, Rotom. I'm going to use Chinchou and Stufful."

Ash sends out both Pokemon as he starts to fight the jellyfish Pokemon. It glows and then somehow it raises the defense stats. Ash notices it and he tries to have Chinchou go for Bubble Beam, the move itself is super effective, much to Ash's surprise.

"It's super effective...then I guess it should be either Rock or Ground Type..." Ash says, but then it goes for Psywave, which deals a lot of damage to Stufful.

"Stufful, hang in there and use Flail!" Ash says as the small bear swings its arms, which doesn't seem to deal much damage. Ash says, "So it's Rock Type. Stufful, use Hammer Arm!"

But as Stufful swings its arm at the Pokemon, it doesn't seem to take much damage, much to Ash's shock. Hau says, "Why isn't that super effective if that's Rock Type?"

Ash notices that the Pokemon goes for Venoshock, and he says, "I guess I know why it is Rock and Poison! Poison Type resists Fighting."

After several attacks, both Chinchou and Stufful evolve, and in front of them are Lanturn and Bewear. Rotom says, "Bewear, the Strong Arm Pokémon. A Normal and Fighting-type. Bewear has extremely powerful arms, and it's very dangerous. It waves its arms in a friendly fashion, but this is a means of warning. Approach with caution."

"Good, now let's try out this attack." Ash says as he and Lanturn do the pose of the Water Type. "Use Hydro Vortex!"

Lanturn starts to spin around, creating a giant vortex that causes the jellyfish to get dragged into it, and somehow the wormhole comes back, and the jellyfish is being shoot inside as it closes off again.

Hau asks, "Did we do it?"

"It disappeared..." Ash mutters as he recalls both Pokemon, that is before Bewear wanting to give Ash a bear hug.

Lusamine looks at the sky where the portal was from, and she mutters, "So, it's true... I still need that Pokémon. I need to get it back."

Ash and Hau are confused at what Lusamine is saying, and Hau asks, "What? Miss Lusamine, did you say something?"

Lusamine suddenly gives an evil smirk, much to Ash's surprise and a little horror. She returns to normal and says, "That creature we just saw was undoubtedly an Ultra Beast... An unknown being from another dimension that suddenly appears from the Ultra Wormhole... It looked like it was suffering... Like it pained it to be in this strange place... I can't bear to see that happen! I will save it. And I will love it!"

"I really don't like the expression she is making..." Ash mutters.

"Thank you...both of you... Thank you so much!" Lusamine says as she turns to Wicke as they go to the elevator. "Wicke. These two are still in the middle of their island challenge, aren't they? Please deliver them to their next island."

"O-oh! At once, ma'am!" Wicke says.

"I will go to check that none of our poor resident Pokémon came to any harm. And I need to speak with Mr. Faba about exactly what happened downstairs." Lusamine says. "And of course... I will have to start preparing the foundation for our newest and perhaps greatest duty yet: the protection of the Ultra Beasts!"

Wicke nods as she turns to Ash and Hau, "I'll see the two of you to Ula'ula Island, then."

After that, they bid farewell to Lusamine as they head downstairs, after they are at the boat, Hau says, "I never thought I'd actually get to see the Ultra Wormhole in my life... We've gotta tell Professor Burnet about this the next time we see her!"

"I don't know if what happened should be rightly described as an accident, but... I think it's probably best if you do so." Wicke says. "Anyway, I was very glad to meet you both. Please take this to remember your visit. Some malasadas for Hau..."

Hau takes the malasadas as he cheers in joy. "Yes! Big Malasadas! Awesome! Isn't it crazy how malasadas taste even better when you eat 'em together with someone else?"

Wicke chuckles and says, "Yes... I think I know what you mean. Meals always taste better when you share them with the ones you love."

After Hau getting to the ship first, Ash decides to talk to Wicke for a moment.

"I have heard from the other President, I'm glad that you are there to protect Lillie." Wicke says.

"I know, she has been a little afraid because of what the evil president wants to do with Nebby...I hope everything will be fine." Ash says as Wicke nods.

"If possible, you have to tell the good President about what the evil president is doing and you have to warn her no matter what. This is the letter I need you to send to her."

Ash takes the letter and nods, and then Wicke says, "I hope you both have wondrous adventures on your island challenge."

As they are on the boat, Ash is thinking about the evil version of Lusamine. The way she acts is not like what Lillie's, or Serena's mother used to be. And those Ultra Beasts are also mysterious as well, as he is an Arceus, he doesn't have a clue about them and it is weird.

Hau says, "Ho... My heart's still kinda racing, you know? The Ultra Wormhole is real... And Ultra Beasts are real, too! The world is just way too big... I bet we'll discover even more new things on the next island, too! We're gonna need all the energy we can get. Time to dig in!"

Ash was just using the Rotom Phone to contact his mother, Lillie, and the good version of Lusamine. After ending the call, he looks at how Hau is eating the malasada as he doesn't seem to be worried about anything. Ash sighs as he feels that Hau is too carefree, maybe that's why Gladion doesn't seem to like him at all. Hau turns to Ash and asks, "You want a malasada?"

Ash smiles and grabs one, "Thanks, I'm a little hungry after all that battling."

After eating them, Hau sighs in a satisfied tone, "Ahhh! So gooooooood! Shoot, I already ate the whole thing!"

While Ash and Hau are at the Aether Foundation, Lillie is with good Lusamine and Aurora as they arrive at Ula'ula Island. Lillie says, "So this is Ula'ula Island..."

Lusamine says, "Right now we are in a place known as Malie City. This place is heavily inspired by the Johto Region culture."

Aurora says, "Indeed...There are a lot of places to do on Ula'ula Island. Malie City is the biggest city on this island, and there are Mt. Hokulani and Mt. Lanakila that are full with a lot of mountain Pokemon, including Ice Type Pokemon in the Alola Region."

"I can't wait to see it, and I'm sure Snowy wants to see the place she came from as well." Lillie says as Snowy barks a little. Just then, they get a call from Ash, as they are about to leave the Aether Foundation. Aurora asks, "Ash? How are you doing?"

Ash says, "We are fine, Hau and I are leaving as we have done exploring the Aether Foundation."

Lillie asks, "Did you encounter anything dangerous there?"

"Well, I think we might have encountered something known as Ultra Beasts." Ash says.

Lusamine widens her eyes as she can't believe that her evil version has already tried to summon Ultra Beasts, and she asks, "Did it hurt you? What kind of Ultra Beast do you encounter?"

Ash says, "I don't know what it is, but it looks like a jellyfish, and I think it is Rock and Poison Type."

Aurora says, "Nihilego...that is the only Ultra Beast that fits the description..."

Lillie turns to Aurora and asks, "Does that mean there are even more Ultra Beasts in the world?"

"I don't know." Aurora says, "In fact, Ultra Beasts are actually created by Giratina and another Legendary Pokemon that is banished into the Ultra Wormhole..."

Lusamine says, "My other self's desires to reach Nihilego... and what she did to achieve that goal... I know she was completely out of control. But that doesn't mean I can't understand it."

Lillie turns to her mother, and she says, "It was Mohn who started it. He was the one who first confirmed the existence of Ultra Wormholes and Ultra Beasts. And you knew what happened, Mohn disappeared at that time during an experiment. He was trying to connect to an Ultra Wormhole. All that he left behind was a weakened Cosmog and his papers about Nihilego..."

Ash asks, "But you said that you saved him, right? I mean, he lost his memories, but he is back in this world, right?"

"My evil version didn't know it." Lusamine sighs. "My evil self's obsession with Ultra Wormholes... and her obsession with the Ultra Beasts... I think it was all basically her way of trying to reach him again. That's what I had to believe. To get through it."

"That sounds terrible..." Lillie frowns.

Ash says, "By the way, Ms. Wicke wants me to give you a letter. Are you guys in Ula'ula Island now?"

Aurora says, "We are there. So we'll meet up at Malie Garden, how is that sound?"

"It's fine for me." Ash says as he ends the call.

Here is a new chapter, and Ash battles Nihilego with his new Pokemon and wins against them. And Ash also tells the good Lusamine of what the evil version is doing and they start to learn some of the truth. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be the start of Ula'ula Island.
