Chapter 15

Ancrua arrives at the school cafeteria, crowded by rushing students not unlike the library. Ancrua checks her phone to make sure she got the right location, but she scratches the back of her head.

"How am I suppose to find one Fairy out of the crowd when I don't even know what she looks like?" Ancrua asks herself, putting her hands on her hips.

Someone taps her behind her shoulder, and Ancrua turns around. No one's behind her, but a trail of pixie dust flutters around a corner.

Ancrua runs after it, turning the corner and following the pixie dust down a long hallway.

She finally turns another corner and spots the girl leaving the trail of pixie dust.

"Hey, stop!" Ancrua cries.

The girl turns around, and Ancrua gasps, "Breezy?! You're Balena's new favorite, aren't you?"

Breezy gives a shy nod, "Y-...yes."

Ancrua crosses her arms, "Well, if you're with Balena, why are you messaging the Winx Club?"

"Well...what Balena's doing...it...it's wrong. She'll do anything to become the most powerful and popular Fairy at Alfea," Breezy explains.

"You don't have to tell me," Ancrua agrees.

"Look...I might not be able to join the Winx Club, but...but I still wanna help you guys. I could be an insider!" Breezy clarifies.

"Breezy! What are you doing?"

Ancrua and Breezy whip around to find Balena standing at the other end of the corridor, her hands on her hips. Breezy's already large eyes widen with fear as she dashes to Balena's side, "N-nothing Balena!"

"You weren't talking to this loser here, were you?" Balena asks, looking suspectedly at Breezy.

She shakes her head, "No! No...not at all. No talking to losers, r-...right?"

Breezy's tone is forced and half-hearted, but Balena buys it anyway, resuming a malicious sneer at Ancrua.

"That's right, Breezy. We don't want any of her loserness rubbing off onto us. Besides, losers deserve to be alone."

Ancrua snarls at Balena, "I don't need you anymore, I have real friends!"

Balena scoffs, "What? Sappy Silver and that Witch? Ha...with friends like those, no one will want to even touch you."

Ancrua walks towards Balena, and shoves her way past her, "Whatever."

As soon as Balena and Breezy are out of sight however, Ancrua leans against the nearest wall and starts to cry.

"Maybe I made a mistake, leaving Balena. I mean, look how quickly she replaced me! How do I even know Silver and Jade are my friends?"

She wipes away her tears and starts shaking her head, "No...no, I may not know Silver and Jade very well, but Balena was never my friend to begin with! If I really had to choose between being a loser and having a fake friend like her, then I'm proud to be counted among the losers."

Ancrua starts walking again, hands balled up into fists, "Now to tell the girls about Breezy!"

Bloom and Silver are hard at work in Silver's dorm, as Silver shakes glitter onto a colorful paper poster. On Ancrua's desk, Bloom organizes a stack of Winx Club flyers.

"That poster's looking great, Silver," Bloom compliments, walking over to look at her work.

Silver puts down the glitter shaker, "Thanks, Bloom. I hope this Club Fair goes well."

Silver's about to pick up the glue next to her when she suddenly starts growling in pain, clutching her head.

"No...not again…" Silver groans, falling to her knees.

Bloom drops her flyers and runs towards Silver, "What's wrong?"

Silver tries to stutter out a response, "That voice...in...my head…"

Awe, poor Silver. Even with a member of the original Winx Club, she still can't pull anything together. The Club Fair will be a disaster, and she knows it.

"Silver, I'm sensing a dark energy around you. Here, let me help," Bloom offers, her hands glowing with magic.

Bloom waves her hands over Silver, and showers her in orange pixie dust, "Light of the Dragon Fire!"

An orange hue appears around Silver, and she breathes a sigh of relief, "Thank goodness, that voice is gone."

"I placed a simple protection spell on you. It should keep you safe from whatever was trying to get inside your head," Bloom assures her.

As Silver stumbles over to her bed to sit down, Bloom joins her, "So Silver, who was trying to get inside your head? Do you know?"

Silver shakes her head, "I don't recognize his voice, but we think he's somehow connected to all the negativity that's been going around Alfea. We brought this up to the Headmistress, and she said she'll look into it."

"That's a good idea, Silver. Headmistress Faragonda has been a great teacher to me and the Winx Club, I'm sure she'll be glad to help you," Bloom affirms.

Silver nods, "I'm just worried about what this guy could do. If he already has such a strong influence on Alfea, who knows how much more powerful he could get? He failed at influencing me, but what about the other Fairies? What about my friends?"

Bloom puts a hand on Silver's back, "It'll be alright. I can put protection spells on all of your friends. And maybe if I talk to Headmistress Faragonda, she'll let me put a protection spell over the whole school."

Silver looks up at Bloom, and smiles, "Sounds like a plan."
