(Good afternoon my friends. I got reviews from a couple of people saying that the "gay lifestyle" is disgusting and I laughed. In the first chapter, I wrote that everyone is a little bit gay, and studies show that everyone's not 100% straight. So, to the person who reviewed my story, do your research.

1. Being gay isn't a choice. 2. It is natural. and 3. There is homosexuality in over 1000 species of animals, but homophobia is only found in 1. Homophobia is only found in the human species. Homosexuality is needed in all species because without us, it would be difficult to survive. We are needed because we will adopt the babies that aren't wanted, hence adoption.

Again, if you are going to review something to do with the LGBTQ, make sure to do your research before posting it on my story.

Thank you for your time.)

Beginning of Chapter 5

This weekend has been the best weekend I've had in a long time. I haven't made a friend as fast as I did, I just hope that she doesn't get sick of me too fast. I feel that we'll be friends for a lifetime. The fact that I get to hang out with her every day makes me happy.

Anyways, school starts in an hour and I got distracted by watching TikTok. I still needed to take a shower and get dressed. I might even have to skip breakfast. Man do I love breakfast.

I turned off my phone, headed to my bathroom and had a shower. Since I had to leave soon, I only had a fifteen-minute shower. Once I got back to my room, I grabbed black ripped jeans, my California muscle shirt with a black Calvin Klein bra underneath, with my checkered vans.

I headed downstairs to grab a piece of toast before I head to school. Peanutbutter and raspberry jam is the way to go. I headed for the door with my backpack and my keys and got into my Jeep Wrangler.

I drove the fifteen minutes to school and when I pulled into the parking lot, I saw Annabeth. She looked beautiful as always. Even though I had only met her three days prior.

I got out of my car, grabbed my bag, and headed to my locker. I need to get caught up if I want to graduate in time. And believe it or not, I would be the first family member to graduate high school since my mom dropped out because she found that she was having me.

I'm just glad I can't get pregnant.

I have calculus first, so I decided that I'm going to get some help from the teacher before class starts. I've been having trouble with the course, so I thought that it would be for the best.

Annabeth is the next to come in. She looks my way and smiles. I smile back.

"Hey stranger," I say.

"Hey to you too!" she replied.

Her voice is so soothing. I could listen to it all day if I could.

"So, why are you here so early?" she asked me.

"Well, I've been having trouble with my classes," I answered, "so I figured that I could get some help from the teacher."

I know I'm not the smartest kid in the school, but I do want to try. All my life I've been getting into trouble, I just want that to stop. I want to be better, be stronger than I was.

My ultimate achievement would be that I will be valedictorian at graduation, even though that most likely won't happen. I'm dyslexic and have ADHD, so that would make it hard for me. But, most of the time, if I put my mind to it, I can make my dreams come true.

"If you'd like, I could tutor you." Annabeth offered.

"Yeah, I would like that." I smiled at Annabeth, thanking her

The bell rang indicating that class was about to start. Since Annabeth and I were first to class, we sat next to each other in the middle row. It's where the people who don't want to be asked questions, but if asked, they'll answer.

"Alrighty, class! I know that most of you have learned about the Pythagorean Theorem, but we'll be doing a recap on the subject." Our teacher, Mrs. Anders, told us.

The entire class moaned to the information they had just processed. Nobody liked this topic, but we still had to learn about it.

Once class was over, Annabeth decided to head to our 2nd class, since we pretty much had all of the same classes.

We head towards the gym when I notice someone at the front entrance of the school. I couldn't be him, could it? I haven't seen in years. The last time I saw him was when I was twelve. Why would he visit me know?

"Hey, Annabeth," I started, "Meet me at the gym. I have to do something."

"Okay, I'll meet you there," she replied.

I walk up to the man, the man who conceived me. My father, who I haven't seen in 4 years.

"What are you doing here?" I asked sternly. I was pissed. The man doesn't bother to contact me all of these years, and he shows up now. Why now? It's not fair.

"I needed to see you," he said.

"You needed to see me? Last I remember, Mom told you to stay the fuck away. You don't deserve to get to know me. I've met you five times. All visits only being for an hour. And you say you want to see me. Not gonna happen." And with that, I turned around and headed for the gym.

People are going to talk about that encounter for the rest of the week, if not, the rest of the month. I have never been so humiliated. My father, Poseidon, decided years ago that he didn't want anything to do with my mother and me, but he still showed up at my new school.

I went to my locker in the locker room to grab my stuff so that I'm able to change for the gym. I get changed and head out to the gym for attendance. Once my name gets called, I run my 5 laps before Ms. Ambrose tells us what we will be doing during class.

Once the class was over, I went up to Annabeth and asked her if she wanted to leave during the final block. I needed to cool off, and since we didn't need to be in the school during that time, it's the perfect time to leave.

She told me that she would be interested in leaving, but she told me that she would come with me on once condition, that we'd have to have a coffee friend date every Wednesday during lunch. Either way, I need a friend, and Annabeth is pretty much the only friend I've made during my time here.

During lunch, I head to the cafeteria to eat my lunch. I sat down at one of the tables, and let me tell you, I didn't expect anybody to sit with me. While I was eating, I noticed Annabeth walk towards me with Piper, the girl I met on my first day.

"Howdy partner!" Piper says. I giggled at what she had said.

"Hey Piper," I said, "how are you?"

"I'm pretty good. How has the school been treating you so far?"

"Well, I haven't been kicked out yet." Both Piper and Annabeth at me with confused looks on their faces. I need to get to know them better before I tell them my story.

The girls sit down. Annabeth sat next to me, and Piper sat across from me. Piper looked down at her phone, and by the looks of it, she was texting somebody. Possibly her boyfriend, if she has one.

"Sorry," Piper said," I was just texting the group where we were. I'm sure they'd love to meet you, Percy."

I smiled. I feel that I could end up being friends with these people for the rest of my life. "I would like to meet them as well."

"Well that's good," She started, "because here they come."

I looked over and I saw 4 boys and a girl. I'm nervous to meet them, but I need new friends, and this is the school that will get me my wish. They walked over and sat down with Annabeth, Piper and me.

"Who's this, Annabeth?" The blond, tallboy asked.

I answered before Annabeth could. "I'm Percy, Percy Jackson."

"It's nice to meet you, Percy," He said. "I'm Jason, and that's Hazel," he pointed to the other girl, "Frank," the tall Asian guy, "Leo," the short, Hispanic boy, "and I see you've already met Piper and Annabeth."

"It's nice to meet all of you," I said.

"It's nice to meet you too!" Hazel said.

Lunch brought me joy that I hadn't felt in a long time, and Annabeth is the one who made me feel that way.
