Sensual Summer Heat

Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the summer season intensifies as everyone gets under the heat (no pun intended), and this is where the situation starts between Touta and Karin.

Ch. 2: Netsu
A week later, summer intensifies all over Tokyo, as the heat became quite unbearable which caused many to rely on air conditioners and electric fans in order to quell off the discomforting temperature the masses are feeling, as they now wished that Christmas season would happen instead of the summer holidays, as many had to change clothes several times.
Some were not as irritated, for many took this as a blessing as they now have an excuse to leave the house and go to nearby malls in order to loiter around to take advantage of the malls' air-conditioning machines as well as to hang out at the local arcades.
"Man the heat's unbearable…"
"Me too…"
"At least I can go out…"
"The mall's open…"
"Let's go…"
"I want to cool airc onditioning"
"Want to cool…"
"Yeah…"
At offices, many employees are feeling some relief as the air-conditioning machines kept them cool and that helped them keep their cool heads and not getting irritated due to the summer heat that would otherwise make them hotheaded if the wrong buttons are pushed.
In fact, this helped the employers maintain a cool head, and eventually decided to have a summer getaway which many employees are happy with the announcement and are looking forward to going to a company-sponsored outing to one of Japan's popular resorts.
"A summer outing?"
"Wow!"
"Sounds great!"
"Me too!"
"Where to?"
"Still planning…"
"How about Kyoto?"
"Sure!"
Meanwhile, other areas around Tokyo were not fortunate, as motorists can be seen get stuck at traffic jams and they began cruising fellow motorists to get out of the way in order to escape the heat due to being stuck in traffic which eventually lead to fisticuffs and brawls.
"Hey!"
"Move it!"
"Hurry up!"
"Damn you!"
"Stop honking your horn, you asshole!"
"Bullshit!"
"I'll kill you!"
"Motherfucker!"

At Fairyland Hall, things are business as usual as many of the staff members are attending to the guests, arriving and departing. Because of the summer season many resorts became fully-booked, and many are looking for other resorts that are vacant.
Fortunately someone tipped them off about Fairyland Hall and thus the place became packed with vacationers and guests, where positive word of mouth spread quickly and the place became trending to those wanting a relaxing summer vacation.
The staff members are becoming quite busy as they assists the customers in booking a room and some giving them courtesy as the customers are awaiting the room thy want to book, while others are carrying the luggage of the patrons as they escort them to their assigned rooms. The staff members are identified as :
- Karin Yuuki
- Shinobu Yuuki
- Kirie Sakurame
- Santa Sasaki
- Touta Konoe
- Ikkuu Ameya
- Gengoru Makabe
- Kuromaru Tokisaka
The eight of them made sure that attention to the customers are given, and when some of the customers are ready to depart, they gave the staff members tips as a way to thank them for giving such courtesy, and the staff members, who are also members of the UQ Holder organization, thanked the departing customers for the generosities they gave.
"Thank you, sir!"
"Thank you, ma'am!"
"Enjoy your stay!"
"Thank you for choosing our resort!"
"Come back again!"
"Thanks for the tip!"
"We do hope to see you again!"
"Please recommend us to your peers!"
The next days proved to be quite a busy moment as more customers arrived while some departed, and the UQ Holders members were quite busy and barely had time to relax as they have to ensure that customer satisfaction is given to the customers.
Their efforts paid off, as many are satisfied with how they were given attention, as well as how good their stay have become, which resulted in the customers giving the staff members a huge tip as well as getting recommendation from departing guests and helped spread the word, and soon other vacationers got word at how good Fairyland Hall is.
"Really?"
"It's that good?"
"For real?"
"Sounds interesting…"
"I want to go there!"
"Me too!"
"Book me one!"
"Hey!"

One day, while most of the staff members are on break, as well as that there has been no customers coming at the moment, you can see that some of the girls are taking a break and are basking a the sun while near the pool area, and you can see Konomaru is given lessons from Makabe, where they began engaging in a practicing sword duel.
Kirie and seen counting the money they collected from the week's collection, and she is grinning at the amount the resort collected, and thus UQ Holder can gain lots of wages for the staff members, and Santa was a bit taken aback at seeing how OBSESSED she is when it comes to money, though she seemingly doesn't care much about it.
"Kirie…"
"What?"
"Does money matter to you?"
"Of course! I live for it!"
"…"
"Got a problem?"
"Um, no…"
"Then shut up…"
Inside the hall, Karin is seen walking by where she decided to pay a visit at Yukihime's office, and looked inside, seeing that there is no one around, except that there is a box filled with chocolate balls, and deciding to take a sample, she went inside the office, took one and ate it, which she noted that it tastes good and left the office.
"Mmm…good…"
Ten minutes later, Touta is seen passing by Yukihime's office and looked inside, seeing that there is no one around, except that there is a box filled with chocolate balls, and deciding to take a sample, she went inside the office, took one and ate it, which she noted that it tastes good and left the office.
"Mmm…good…"
As the coast is clear, Shishido came as he is carrying a note, where he went inside Yukihime;s office, where he attaches a note near the box of chocolate bolls, where the note says "DO NOT TOUCH THEM. CHOCOALTE BALLS HAVE BEEN DRUGGED. DO NOT EAT THEM NO MATTER WHAT".
Ameya came and saw the note and sighed as he told Shishido that he shouldn't have brought the DRUG and mix with the sake, as it is revealed in a brief flashback that Shishido accidentally laced the chocolate balls with the drug-enhanced sake, and now he has to make sure that no one must touch and eat the chocolate balls as it would cause the person some…unexpected effects if consumed.
Shishido laughed nervously, saying that he already got a mouthful from Yukihime and promised not to screw up again, which Ameya sighed and said to Shishido to imagine what would happen if any of the staff members were to take the drug-induced chocolates, which Shishido assured that it won't happen now that he has put the note on the chocolate balls.
"You worry too much."
"Of course."
"So don't worry."
"…"
"I already put the note, so no one will…"
"Just make sure of that."
"Of course."
"Geez…"
By then Konomaru and Makabe arrived and overheard the conversation, and there Makabe asked what did Shishido do this time, and upon hearing it, he face-palmed as he felt that this would be a disaster waiting to happen, as he had a feeling that if a certain SOMEONE were to eat one, this means disaster about to happen.
Shishido laughed and assured to Makabe that no one will eat the chocolates now that the warning sign is in place, though Makabe said he doubt that someone would take the note seriously.
"You worry too much."
"Of course."
"So don't worry. no one will…"
"I doubt it…"
"I already put the note, so no one will…"
"but if Konomaru mention about a CERTAIN SOMEONE…and if my guess is right…"
"Not to worry…he's not here at the moment…"
"Geez…"
Konomaru then asked what would happen if someone eats the drug-induced chocolates, and as Shishido is about to tell Konomaru about it, Makabe interrupts, not wanting to cause an unwanted panic, but Shishido said it's okay since the warning note is in place and that no one has been here yet, so it is safe to tell.
As Shishido told Konomaru about it, the gender-less UQ Holder member stared in surprise, as he realize what trouble would ensue if someone were to eat one, and while Shishido assured that no one has eaten them yet, all is safe and no one will think about taking a sample. He told Konomaru that there is nothing to worry about.
"You worry too much, kid."
"Of course. We're talking about…"
"So don't worry."
"…"
"I already put the note, so no one will…"
"Still…"
"Relax. He won't take it."
"Geez…"
However, Makabe glanced at the box, where he made an inspection, where he noticed that two pieces of chocolate balls are missing, and he asked Ameya if he took one, which he deny it, and then glanced at Konomaru if he took one, which Konomaru deny it as well, and there Makabe said that someone has been here before, and thus took the drug-induced chocolates and ate them.
Ameya and Konomaru stared in surprise as they realize that they are too late, and told Shishido that someone has been here before the warning note is placed, and wondered who took two pieces of the chocolates, and yet Shishido assured that nothing bad will happen, the trio begged to differ especially when they realize what kind of drug is placed on the sake that has been soaked onto the chocolate balls.
"I doubt it."
"Me too."
"If that CERTAIN SOMEONE took the chocolates and ate it…"
"Relax. I'm sure that HE won't…"
"Shishido!"
"This is serious!"
"And I'm really worried!"
"Ha-ha-ha…"

Hope you liked this chapter, as it started normally as summer is being set, yet the heat is catching up to the characters, while Kirie is busy with money and all, the rest of the male staff members are now having a problem after a CERTAIN SOMEONE ate the chocolate laced with an unknown drug…but they are also unaware that even Karin unknowingly took it as well…
