Author: Hey guys! I know its been forever since I have updated and I apologize for that. A whole lot has been going on but I did my best to make this chapter long for you guys. I hope it's not as bad as I think it is.

I had to admit, things have been going pretty well. Nothing crazy has been happening. Even Eggman hasn't attacked in a while.
"What do you think of this, Ms. Amy?"
"That's beautiful, Cream!"
Today, Ms. Vanilla brought Cream over for me and Amy to watch over until she comes back from her doctor appointment. Not that we minded at all. Right now, we were outside picking flowers from the garden and making flower crowns. Well, technically I was picking flowers while Amy and Cream taught me how to make the crowns.
"Here, Ms. Sasha. This one is for you." Cream said as she placed a blue and purple flower crown on my head. I smiled at her. "Thank you, Cream. I really like it."
Beep! Beep! Suddenly, Amy's communicator went off. "Hello?" She answered. "Amy, we need you. Eggman's robots are attacking...again..." I heard Nicole say from the communicator. Amy groaned at this. "Ok I'm on my way." She said as she stood up. "Is Dr. Eggman attacking again?" Cream asked worriedly. "And let me guess, it's about me isn't it?" I asked monotonously. Amy sighed. "Yes and yes. But don't worry, if his attacks are anything like before then we should have nothing to worry about. Anyways, I'll be right back. I just hope he will finally give up after this..." She said as she ran off to join the battle. "She's right, Cream. We shouldn't have anything to worry about." I assured Cream. "Okay, Ms. Sasha." She replied happily as she continued working on another flower crown.
Why do I have a bad feeling though...
~Time Skip~
"That was fun, Ms. Sasha!" Cream said happily. I chuckled at her. "I had fun too Cream." I said as we walked into the house but then I stopped dead in my tracks.
Something doesn't feel right...
"Are you okay, Ms. Sasha?" Cream asked. I was about to answer, until we heard a suspicious noise that made the both of us jump a little. "What was that?" Cream asked sounding frightened. "I don't know, but it sounds like it came from the kitchen."
Slowly, I walked towards the kitchen with Cream close behind me. I stopped at the doorway and looked around. I didn't see anything, but it didn't hurt to be to careful. "Wait here." I whispered to Cream. She nodded, and I walked deeper into the kitchen. So far, everything still seemed fine, but I still needed to check behind the island counter (or whatever you call it.) Fearing the worse, I decided to grab a weapon. Seeing the knife set, I began to reach my hand over to grab one, but I froze.
No! No! No! I can't...anything but that...
Retracting my now shaking hand, I reached for the next best thing, a frying pan. As slowly and quietly as I could, I eased around the counter. As soon as I got behind it, I lifted up the pan expecting an intruder but stopped once I noticed it was just a box of crackers that had fell over.
Me and my stupid paranoia!
Literally, I facepalmed myself. "False alarm, Cream. It was just a box of crackers that fell on the floor." I said putting the pan where I found it. She giggled when I told her this. "Oh well. At least it wasn't anything dangerous." She said as she walked over and helped me clean up the mess. In no time at all, we cleaned up the mess and was about to leave the kitchen until we were stopped by the sound of a gun clicking. "Well, looks like my hunch was right. She is here at Pinkie's house."
Ohh no. I know who these three...
Defensively, I pushed Cream behind me. " , that's , , and . They aren't very nice people." Cream whispered to me. "Are you sure that's the right kitty? I thought we were supposed to get the purple kitty." Bean asked sounding confused. "No! You idiot! That's the fire cat we're supposed to avoid! He the striped cat with brown hair!"
I need to find a way for us to escape from these three and find the others.
I darted my eyes towards the frying pan that was still in arm's length. If I grab it, I could probably throw it at them and buy us enough time to escape. As quickly as I could, I began to reach for the frying pan but instantly stopped when a bullet whizzed by, just a mere inch away from my face and hitting a plate behind me. This caused Cream to whimper and grip my hand tighter. "That was just a warning shot. Next time, I'll be sure not to miss."
Okay...maybe they're not as dumb as I thought...
"So, I'm guessing you guys are working for Eggman?" I asked. "He may or may not have hired us to capture you and bring you to him." Nack replied, still keeping his gun pointed at me.
What am I going to do? I could probably find a way to escape them easily, but I don't want to put Cream in danger by doing anything too risky...I guess don't have a choice...
"Fine...I-I'll let you take me to Eggman..." I practically forced out my mouth. Everyone stared at me in shock. "Wow...I was expecting more of a fight." Nack said. "I know. I was hoping to have some fun." Bean said pulling out a lit bomb. "Bean! Put that away before you blow us all up!" Nack said. "Awwww..." Bean said disappointedly, as he put the bomb away.
"No! Ms. Sasha, please don't go with them!" Cream begged me. I turned around to face her. "Don't worry, Cream. Everything is going to be okay." I said. "But what if something bad happens to you?" She said with tears streaming from her eyes. I gave her a reassuring smile. "Nothing is going to me. Just make sure you tell the others where I went. I promise I'll be back. Until then, can you hold on to this for me?" I said handing her the flower crown she made me. "Okay." She said, wiping her tears away.
"Bark, tie her up. Don't want her getting any ideas." Nack ordered. Bark nodded his head and did what he was told. As much as I wanted to resist, I chose not to. To be honest, I kind of wanted to go see Eggman. Maybe I would finally get to find out why I was brought to Mobius.
Sonic's P.O.V.
"Well that was easy." Knuckles said, after smashing the last robot. "Hmmm...something seems wrong here..." Sally said, suspiciously. "What do you mean?" Tails asked. "I mean...didn't this fight seem a little too easy..."
"Who cares! At least we can relax for the rest of the day." I said, stretching my arms above my head.
I think I'll take Sasha out later. Maybe we'll grab a bite to eat and then go stargazing.
Feeling a pair of eyes on me, I glanced over only to lock eyes with Amy which caused her to look away uncomfortably. I let out an exasperated sigh before shutting my eyes.
Maybe Sasha's right... I really should sort things out with Amy...
" WAS KIDNAPPED!"
"WHAT?!" We all yelled in unison as we saw Cream run up to us in tears. "How did that happen?!" Tails asked.
"M-...*sniff*...Mr. Nack and his friends broke into the house...*sniff*...They said they would hurt us if Ms. Sasha didn't let them take her to Dr. Eggman."
So, it really was a trap? Those punks!
"Tails! Go get the Tornado! You, I, and Knuckles are going to go save her! Amy! Are you coming with us?"
"No, I'm staying here to watch over Cream. Just make sure you guys get Sasha back safety." She said, comforting Cream. "Well then, it's settled. We better get going."
Don't worry, Sasha. I'm coming to save you.
~Meanwhile with Sasha~
"Dawwww, who's a cute kitty?"
"Not me." I replied monotonously for the fifth time. "Dawww, she's adorable! Can we keep her, Boss?! Huh?! Huh?! Huh?!" Bean begged. "Of course not! Eggman paid us to bring her to him and that's what we're gonna do!" Nack answered. "You're not even going the right way! We were supposed to turn left back that way!" Bean nagged. "Shut up, Bean! Stop backseat driving! I know where I'm going!" I rolled my eyes at the two.
Do they ever shut up?
I glanced over at Bark who looked equally as annoyed as me. "So, you don't talk at all, do you?" I asked. He looked at me and nodded his head in confirmation. "So far, you're my favorite." I said. He smirked at me, seeming to laugh at my joke.
Moments later, we finally made it to Eggman's base.
"Hey, Eggman! We got your tiger for ya!" Nack said as Bark placed dropped me on the floor. "Oww!" I said, causing Bark to give me an apologetic look. "Ahh, finally!" Eggman said as he got up from his computer and walked up to us. "Welcome back, Sasha. I've been expecting you." Eggman said, giving me a sinister grin. My ears flattened as I growled at him. "Oh? Feisty today, are we?" He mocked, while I rolled my eyes and looked away. "I have to admit, I didn't think you three would actually pull at off." Eggman said, as he handed them a bag of rings, I assume. "It was nothing we couldn't handle." Nack said taking the bag. "Wonderful. Now get out of my base." Eggman said, waving them off. "Awww, but I'm gonna miss the kitty witty!" Bean said, as the three of them began to leave. "Shut up, Bean!" I practically sweat dropped at this before looking over at Eggman, who was sitting back at his computer.
Looks like now is the chance to finally get some answers.
"So, Eggman. I have a question." I finally said. "Hmm?" He said, not turning away from the computer screen. "What exactly is your plan in all this?" I asked. "I'm creating a chemical gas that can change humans into animals." "Is that why you came to Earth?" I asked. "Precisely." Okay then. So out of all people, why did you take me?" I asked curiously. "Ha! You were just the only one dumb enough to stay inside a burning building." He said mockingly. I clenched my fists in anger but calmed down a bit after. "How are you even making this gas?" Eggman sighed in frustration. "Jeez, kid. I liked it better when you barely talked. Orbot! Cubot!" He called, and two familiar robots showed up. "Yes, Dr. Eggman?" They said in unison. "Take the girl to her room. She's distracting me from my work." He said going back to working on the computer. "Right away, Dr. Eggman!" They said as they dragged me away.
~Time Skip~
Soooo...umm...here I am. Back in Eggman's base like when I first came to this planet. Only this time, I'm not gonna wait around to be rescued.
Ugh! How do you get these ropes off? ...Oh yea!
I summoned my sharp claws and used them to cut the rope from my hands and legs.
Well, that was easy. Now how am I going to get out of this cage?
I looked across the room to see the green button on control pad. I needed to find a way to hit it. Then an idea popped in my head. I took of one of my shoes and through it at the control panel but completely missed. Feeling frustrated, I took off my other shoe, hoping this last shot would be successful. I through my shoe at the control panel, this time successfully hitting the button and powering of the cell.
YES! FIRST TRY!
Happily, I hopped out of the cell and put my shoes back on. After that, I ran out the room to find a way out of the base. I wondered around the halls, while avoiding the occasional robot walking down the halls.
Ugh! Doesn't Eggman keep a map around here? This place is like a maze!
Randomly, I peeped into a dimly lit room, hoping to find a clue to a way out. Instead, I found creepy discarded animatronic parts everywhere. "Yep... Room full of nightmares. Moving on..." I mumbled as I continued down the halls.
The further I walked, the hallway grew darker. I did my best to ignore the eerie silence around me. "Eep!" I sqeaked as I felt something brush against my leg. Frantically, I looked around for my attacker but instantly face palmed once I realized it was just my stupid tail.
Gosh, I'm such a paranoid idiot.
I glanced across the hall to see a door that seemed a little more elaborate than the others. I began to walk towards the door but froze once the doors started opening. Quickly, I dove behind a pile of conveniently placed barrels. Turns out it was just Orbot and Cubot.
"Why does Doctor Eggman have to make us clean the lair and not the other robots?" Cubot complaind. "Because he is saving all the other robots in case of an attack." Orbot responded before typing in something on the keypad. "You think he would use a better password than 'I AM THE EGGMAN." Cubot said. Orbot sighed. "Yes, it is a pretty predictable password. Lucky for us, no one will be breaking in here anytime soon."
That's what you think.
I waited until the two of them left before I walked up to the door to put the password in. The door opened to reveal a huge room. I walked deeper to see that it was full of suspicious colorful liquids bubbling in many different beakers and test tubes.
Maybe this is where he made that stuff he used to turn me into a Mobian. Just wondering what he plans to do with it all makes me nervous...
In the corner of my eye, I saw something glowing on the far side of the room. Once, I found the source of the glowing, my eyes grew wide.
A chaos emerald!
I walked over to see that it was protected in a glass case. Looking at the keypad, I can tell there is password needed. I put in the same password and the glass case opened. I shook my head at Eggman's lack of security measures.
My eyes stared in awe upon seeing the magical red gem right in front of me. Slowly, I reached my hand out to grab it. As my hand grew closer, the emerald began to glow as heat emitted from it. A gasp left my lips as I snatched my hand back.
What was that about?!
Nervously, I went in to grab it again. The same thing began to happen again but this time i didn't let it scare me. Once I picked it up, I felt as if a little surge of energy zapped through my body. After a few seconds, the emerald stopped glowing as if nothing happened. "Hmmmmm..."
"INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT!" Was all I heard as bright red lights began to flash.
Uh oh!
With the chaos emerald in hand, I ran out the room only to be met by army of robots, including Metal Sonic and Eggman . "Well, well, well. Looks like we have a nosy little cat who thinks it's ok to take things that don't belong to her." There were too many for me to fight them all, so I did the one thing I could: run.
Without hesitation, I ran down the hall. "Don't let her get away!" I heard Eggman say, as the robots chased me. I ran down different halls in hope that I would find some kind of exit.
After making one more turn, I found myself at a dead end. Just as I was about to turn back, I saw something coming right at me. "Ack!" I barely dodged a deadly blast from Metal Sonic. I looked back to see the wall that was once behind me, now had a huge gaping whole leading to the outside. The robots moved closer, causing me to back up. I glanced back to see that I was dangerously close to the edge. Just one wrong move and I would surely plummet to my death.
"I suggest you hand over my chaos emerald, girl. Then you're going to go back to your cell and stay a good little test subject." Eggman said.
I can't let him have the chaos emerald and I refuse to be test subject.
Suddenly, my ear twitched as I heard a familiar sound coming from far in the distance.
Sonic?
At that moment, Sonic's words replayed in my head.
'I promise to catch you when you fall.'
My heart began to pound so hard that I thought it was going to jump out of my chest.
I heard him! I swear I heard him! He's gotta be close! I can't believe I'm doing this...
Taking a deep breath, I shut my eyes and tightly gripped the emerald in my hand. "NO! WAIT-!" I had flung myself over the edge, causing me to plummet towards the earth. I couldn't help but be filled with terror. It felt as my soul was leaving my body. "SONIC, YOU BETTER CATCH ME!"
Sonic's P.O.V.
"Any luck, Tails?" I called out to Tails who was piloting the Tornado above me. "We're getting close to Eggman's new base." He answered. "Finally!" I yelled as I began to speed up. "Good thing we ran into those three idiots or else we probably would be searching forever." Knuckles said from the passenger seat. "I see the base up ahead." Tails announced as the base finally came into view. "Ok, guys. Here's the plan. Knuckles, me and you are going to break in thro-" I stopped in the middle of my sentence once I caught sight of the base.
"Why is there smoke coming from the base?" I wondered but was instantly distracted once I saw something or someone falling from the top of the base.
"I-is that..."
"Sasha...?!"
"Sonic! I won't be able to get to her in time!" Tails yelled in panic. Without wasting a second, I took off at full speed. My heart was pounding harder than ever. For the first time, I wasn't sure if I was fast enough.
Sasha's P.O.V.
The closer I got to the unforgiving ground, the more my eyes began to flash before my eyes. All the memories played in my head like a recording.
I hate you!
You're worthless!
You're nothing but a disappointment!
Ha! You think you're so pretty!
Why are you so pathetic!?
No one will ever love you!
Why don't you just die?!
My heart ached as so many words that were once said to me, flooded through my head.
Maybe they're all right... What's the point of going on? No one cares about me. Nobody ever cared about me back at home. I'm sure the few that did care have probably forgotten about me. Sonic's not even here to save me.
My eyes began to sting as tears swelled up behind my eyelids. I clenched my eyes tight, in order to keep the tears from falling.
There's no use crying about it anymore...
Feeling my body get close the ground, I braced myself for impact but instead I felt myself land in a pair of arms. Surprised, my brown eyes snapped open only to be met with a pair of familiar emerald green ones.
"That was a close one. You alright, Sasha?"
H...he came... He came to save me...
I didn't realize that the tears I have been restraining were now streaming down my cheeks, although, I couldn't help the weak smile forming on my lips. "...y-yes...I'm fine..."
"That was crazy! What were you thinking?!" He yelled but I didn't care. I was just happy he kept his promise. "I...I got...this..." I said, holding up the gem. "A chaos emerald?" He said as he stared in disbelief.
Suddenly, something grabbed Sonic's leg, causing me to fly out of his arms and drop the chaos emerald in the process. I grunted as I tumbled across the ground, feeling myself pick up a few cuts and bruises until I felt my head hit something hard. "Sasha!" I heard Sonic say. I tried to stand up but felt dizziness consume me and my vision going in and out of focus.
At that moment, I saw the Tornado land next to us. "Are you guys ok?!" Tails asked as he hopped out of the plane. "Is this what I think it is?" Knuckles asked, picking up the chaos emerald I dropped. "A chaos emerald!" Tails exclaimed. "Yea, Sasha took it from Eggman's lab." Sonic said as he cupped my face, checking the injury on my head. "Can you stand?" Before I could reply, a sharp throbbing pain in my head nearly caused me to fall over. "We gotta get her outta here fast!"
Suddenly, something metal had clamped around my body and snatched me away from the ground. I looked behind me to see, Eggman in a giant robot. I tried my best to struggle out of the tight grip, but to no avail.
"Let her go, Egghead!" Sonic demanded. "Actually, I have a better idea. How about you give me your chaos emeralds first? Then I might consider releasing your little friend here."
The metal claw that was around my figure began to tighten. "Ahhh!" I screamed, feeling my injuries getting worse. "No! Sasha!" I heard Tails shout while I saw Sonic clench his fists angrily.
"Alright, I'll get Sasha while you two get rid of-!"
"No! I'll get Sasha while you two get rid of these robots!" Sonic said, cutting off Knuckles before dashing towards Eggman. But before he could get to him, Metal Sonic had got in his way. "Let. Her. Go. Now!" Sonic demanded, but his voice sounded... different. An evil grin made its way onto Eggman's face. "With pleasure." Before I knew it, the metal claw that was once holding me had dropped me. Once my body hit the ground, everything went black.
~(small) Time Skip~
The sound of metal aggressively being smashed were ringing in my ears.
What's happening...?
Drowsily, I opened my eyes to see that the army of robots that were once around us were now laying in bits and pieces. "Sasha! Thank goodness! Are you ok?" I looked up to see Tails who seemed to be full of distraught. I was about to reply when something caught my attention. "SONIC! LET HIM GO!" I looked over to see where the voice and my brown eyes widened at what I saw. Dark Sonic holding a defenseless and terrified Eggman by the throat.
Without realizing it, I jumped to my feet and ran over to the scene. "No! Sasha!" I heard Tails say but I didn't listen. "What happened?!" I asked Knuckles, who looked at me with wide eyes. "What are you doing here?! You're injured!"
"Forget that! What's going on?!" I said, trying my best to ignore the aching in my body.
"When you blacked out, Sonic lost it and turned into his dark form. It's almost impossible to calm him down when he's like this. If we don't think of something fast, he might kill Eggman."
I felt my heart thumping in my chest. Never did I expect that I would see Sonic in his dark form.
"Pl-please S-Sonic...L-let me go... I'm s-s-sorry...!"
"YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE KILLED HER!"
I have to do something!
Without even thinking, I ran towards them. "What are you doing?!" I heard Knuckles yell, but I ignored him. "SONIC! STOP!" At the sound of my voice, Sonic snapped his head in my direction. "J-just let h-him go...!" I stuttered, suddenly feeling dread consume me. Eventually, he dropped Eggman on the ground, allowing him to scramble away. Completely frozen in place, I watched as Dark Sonic stalked over to me like a predator stalking its prey. "L-listen...j-just calm down..."
"There is no reason to kill him..."
"HE ALMOST KILLED YOU!"
"But he didn't! I'm right here with you and that's not gonna change!"
My head began to spin as my body grew weak. "Sonic..." Before I knew it, my body fell forward into a pair of arms. The last thing I saw was Sonic's fur reverting back to its original blue shade.
