Hope from the Sky: The Missing Omakes

A/N: I had these random omakes in mind, but never put them down. Here they are.

Omake (Avatar-influenced)

Kaede had found the behavior of the Attack Titan in Eren Yeager's possession time be very violent and predictable. Not only was Eren proving to be aggressive and reckless with his Titan, but he was causing senseless destruction in Shiganshina, even though it was a mock-up district made to resemble their former home. The way he would crash into buildings, throw his arms around to hit her Dark Titan and instead hit another building, this made the girl recall a memory of what his mother had told her about Eren.

"He picks fights with others, including ones he can't win, because he refuses to keep himself in check," Carla Yeager had explained to Kaede as she was helping her dry her laundry. "If he can't show restraint, he can't do anything properly. I tell him to think about Mikasa, but it's like he only hears what he wants to hear. In the end, he'll only end up hurting himself more than he hurts others."

He has no self-control, she realized and willed her Titan to simply walk away from the streets, heading towards the outer limits. "Is that all you got, Yeager?!"

The Attack Titan charged towards her, but she merely sidestepped out of his way, causing him to smash into another mock-up building.

"I'm the Attack Titan! I'm the hero of Paradis Island!" Kaede shouted at Eren, making her Titan shake her rear at him as he got back up.

Eren lost his temper and charged again, but the Dark Titan ran down the street and made a left turn, avoiding a row of buildings gracefully, but Eren smashed into them again.

"Sloppy," she told him, "immensely sloppy."

"Rrrrraaurgh!" The Attack Titan roared as it got back up.

From atop the observation towers, Erwin Smith and Levi Ackerman watched as the difference in strength and adaptability was shown by the Jaeger Titan and a member of the Nine Titans of Ymir Fritz. Just from watching the way they behaved, it wasn't even a contest.

Kaede then ran out of the mock-up district and came to a complete halt in front of the Survey Corps unit waiting at the gate, instructed to just wait there.

Eren, still smashing into buildings, came up behind her.

"Titan Shifters, vacate!" Hange Zoe ordered through a megaphone, and the two Titans lowered to the ground.

"You lost, Eren Yeager," said Connie Springer to the male Titan Shifter.

"What?!" Eren snapped, looking at Kaede as she climbed down the evaporating husk of her Titan. "How could I lose?! She never threw a single punch at me!"

"No, but look at the damage you caused every time you tried to hit her," expressed Jean to him, pointing to what remained of the district, highlighting the destruction that the Attack Titan caused. "You even reacted when Ms. Sogen taunted you about your lack of progress in taking her down. You actually lost to a girl not because of her Titan being better, but because she was better than you were."

Eren couldn't believe this! His entire performance would determine whether or not he would be allowed to keep his Titan, and he lost to Sogen, a girl that didn't join the Survey Corps until after he had!

"How?!" He demanded.

"I just remembered something your mother told me," Kaede told him, her face marked with the claw-like markings of her Titan. "She mentioned several times of how you pick fights with others, even ones you can't win. That quirk in your personality, along with the way you use your Titan, shows how you lack restraint. You're quick to engage in conflict instead of understanding your opponent and what they're capable of. If you have no restraint, you become the threat."

"It has been decided," declared Erwin to them. "Eren Yeager is inadequate in controlling his Titan. Therefore, he will surrender his Titan."

He had failed the test and would have to forfeit the Attack Titan.

Kaede pitied him, but it was really his fault. He failed to show restraint, and his inability or unwillingness to show self-control was what limited his suitability to serve as a Titan for the Survey Corps.

Omake (Iron Man-influenced)

Reiner Braun was a man of many aspects, but when people believed that he was a harbinger of death because he was once the Armored Titan, that was a belief that would follow him to his grave due to his past as an enemy of Paradis Island. But…he was looking to turn his life around after the Survey Corps and their two allies, this Shinji Ikari and Kaede Sogen, rescued his family from Liberio the night Grausam Zanki nearly bled them all dry. He was willing to take the negativity the people had for him for his dark actions against them five years ago, but he was also looking to redeem himself, and that's why he had to ask Kaede Sogen to do the impossible…and restore to him his Titan powers, even if it was only temporary. And as he saw Marleyan soldiers that didn't accept that the war against Paradis Island was over, attacking Eldians (whether they were Subjects of Ymir or not), he knew this was his fault and he had to atone for this.

"Stop!" He yelled at the Marleyan men and women that were attacking the village, surprised that he was able to communicate when such a power was previously not among his abilities as the Armored Titan. "Cease and desist! It's over! We're not at war, anymore!"

"We'll kill them!" A female soldier declared, pointing a pistol at a little girl. "It'll never be over for us as long as they live!"

"It is for us," Reiner declared as he brought his Titan's left arm down, eliminating the threat against the people of the village. "It is for us."

Omake (White Chicks-influenced)

Eren hated this, but it was part of his community service sentence by Queen Historia. To act as a chaperone to a bunch of kids that were being escorted from a Marley-decimated country to the safety of Paradis Island after it was revealed that there were refugees hiding from the ethnic cleansing squads. All he had to do was keep them out of sight until they made it back to the boat and out to sea and they'd be home free.

"Uh, Mikasa," he went as he noticed two children from the foreign country in the front passenger seat of their boat, "what is going on?"

"They called the front passenger seat," Mikasa explained to him.

"Okay, but where am I supposed to sit?" He asked her; there were eighteen children, five members of the Survey Corps, including them, and the speeding boat they had was practically full to capacity.

Armin, due to seeing alternative solutions better than most young people could, offered a solution to the seating situation.

"I appreciate this, Armin, but this still ain't right!" Eren complained, sitting on the hood of the boat as they took off towards Paradis. "Aaah!"

To be continued…

A/N: Well, these are the ones I could think of to do in the short timeframe I had to think about omakes. I hope y'all enjoy this until the next actual chapter update. And for those that had to wait a whole month for the delayed chapter update of the canon manga, I hope you enjoy Hope from the Sky, as well.
