Hey everyone, sorry for the long wait for the chapter, I've just been super busy lately, and also my first year of University has taken up most of my time, so I had little time to write. This chapter is going to be short, but significant.

To say that when you start dating someone, especially your best friend… ok the latter was probably something that didn't happen often, but still. Things would become different, and that you and the one you started to date, will act different around each other, and things could get awkward. Or you'll get too heavily engrossed in the romantic part, you forget about being friend's part.

Well, in Jackson and Cana's case, nothing happened that would cause things to change dramatically, or make things become awkward.

After they admitted their feelings towards each other, they decided to keep things to themselves, well, they did tell their parents, and Raven. Iden practically gushed, then started to cry, and went on about how her little boy was growing up. Jackson was super embarrassed, and Cana couldn't stop giggling, but Jackson got his due comeback when Gildarts did the same, and held onto Cana, while she tried to get out of his grip, Jackson got his chance at laughing at her. After that, nothing major happened, except for the very scary and nightmare inducing talk Jackson had with Gildarts. Basically the dreaded shovel talk, and he pretty much threatened to use his most powerful spell he had on Jackson, if he ever broke Cana's heart. He would never do that, but had to reiterate, or else he would meet a very early grave. He was sure Cana had one with his parents, or mainly his mom, but he decided to not to ask.

Overall, they didn't do any the stereotypical couple stuff, well; they did do handholding, or leaned into each other when they were alone. They were pretty new to this, so it was expected for them to take things slow, and not rush things. Although, Jackson had felt like kissing Cana a couple of times, but he was too shy to do so, even though he was a pretty outgoing person.

And although they didn't tell anyone, it didn't stop one person from suspecting, and then finding out.

"So, when did you two finally make it official?" Gray said.

Jackson almost lost his footing as he was walking, and Raven giggled at that. The both of them were walking around Magnolia, the others were on jobs, or were rowdy with everyone else at the guild. They couldn't find a job to do that interested them, and Cana was already on a job, she went on a low-level S-Class job with her dad.

"Uh… what are you talking about?"

Gray rolled his eyes and said," Jacks, I've known you both for years, and also had a front row seat to your guy's gross, and rather obvious attraction to each other. And lately, you both seem different, and I found out when you guys left the guild the other day. So I followed, and saw you guys holding hands, and Cana seemed to be leaning on your shoulder. Heh, I don't know whether to be glad for the both of you, or sigh in relief after all this time."

Jackson sighed, scratched the back on his neck, and said," Promise you won't tell anyone? We're still new, and we're still figuring everything out."

Gray shrugged, and said," Not my thing to say. Also, I'm sure Cana would murder me if I told everyone… or worse, Erza would."

The both of them shuttered, being on Erza's angry side wasn't fun, and someone revealing a secret, that wasn't supposed to be revealed, is something she would definitely frown upon. Including Mirajane, who surprisingly, was the type who was into romance, and hoped to play matchmaker in the future. The both of them found this out from Lisanna, who accidently told them, and wanted them to keep it a secret, because Mira was sorta embarrassed to admit it. Which was odd, considering Mira wasn't the type to get embarrassed about anything, but they did keep it a secret.

"But hey, I'm glad you guys are together. But just remember that your best friend, that's me, helped." Gray said with a satisfied look.

Raven rolled her eyes, and said," No you didn't, also your clothes."

"Dammit!"

And then there was when everyone at the guild found out. It was actually Jackson and Cana's fault… it was mainly Raven's fault, she didn't bother to tell them they were at the guild. The both of them were walking together to the guild, they were hand holding, talking, and laughing, and Cana had leaned into him, with a small blush on their faces. They were caught up in each other that they didn't notice they were at the entrance of the guild, and the door was open.

And once they looked up, their small blushes exploded into full on to the color of tomatoes, when everyone started to whistle and cheer at them. Jackson's parents were giving them sympathetic looks, Gray, was between exasperated and looking like he wanted to laugh. The others, were all smiles, especially Erza and Mirajane, while Natsu looked indifferent, or he looked confused. The both of them looked at Raven, who was trying not to snicker. They knew the damn cat was supposed to watch out for where they were going.

There were some teasing from everyone, and also shouts of 'finally', 'took them long enough', and not so subtle exchange of Jewels, mainly when Master Makarov asked them for every detail on how they finally got together, and what happened. But luckily, the whole fanfare of it all died down quickly, but they would still get looks, and other guild members would try to give out advice. A lot of it wasn't helpful, but they got used it.

Their relationship did change, sometime after the guild found out about them. It was during the yearly, Spring Festival, which was a festival Magnolia celebrated for the start of spring. It was a particularly beautiful day, and Jackson and Cana decided to have lunch on a hillside that had a good view of the town, and the guild. It also gave them a good view of the Festival, which everyone hanging out at stalls, either eating or playing games, having a good time, and also Fairy Tail members showing off their magic to everyone. It wasn't as exciting as the Harvest Festival that would happen in October, but it was still a time where everyone got together, and had fun.

"So, have you ever thought about getting contacts?" Cana asked.

Jackson shrugged and said," A couple of times, but I think I'll keep my glasses." He then gave her knowing look and said." Besides, I know for a fact that you think I'm cuter with these on. I once heard you and Mira talking about. And I thank you for that."

Cana blushed, and he knew he got her, due to her not denying it.

That was another thing they started to do, flirt. Cana was the one who seemed to initiate it a lot, and she took satisfaction every time she got Jackson flustered and blushed. He would throw his own game as well, but it lacked for some reason. He knew for a fact that Gildarts had taught her, considering how much of a ladies' man he was.

Cana got her bearings back, and moved her hand over, so now it was on top of Jackson's, and she gave him her best innocent look.

"Would it be too much trouble if you take them off? A good looking guy like you is probably much handsomer."

"W-well, you s-seen me with my glasses off before. Nothing much has changed, but okay." He managed to say, and started to take them off.

'If I would've known teasing him would be this fun, I would've done it a while ago.' Cana thought humorously, and then looked at Jackson.

Her thought process went to a halt, due to what she was seeing. She had seen Jackson without his glasses before, and she had commented how he looked either cute or handsome. But, for some reason he looked different, she thought it was the light of the sun or something, but it seemed to highlight his eyes, or something, she couldn't put her finger on it.

Jackson was having similar thoughts, once he placed his glasses back on, he noticed that Cana was looking at him funny, but he soon saw how the sun shone on her, and made her look pretty, or beautiful.

For the both of them, they didn't know why, they started to lean towards each other. Their inner thoughts were wondering what was going on, but they found that there was nothing wrong with it. So they just closed their eyes, and just let it happen.

A second later, their lips met, and they felt as if fireworks were going off, or some type of magic was casted on them. But all they knew was that they didn't want it to stop. Unfortunately, they had to, due to them needing air. Once they separated, they had matching blushes, and small smiles.

"That was… wow." Cana said with a slight giggle.

"Yeah, it was."

Cana scooted over to him, and laid her head on his shoulder, and said," I can understand why people say that their first kiss is great. Cause I liked it."

"Yeah, I can definitely see why." Jackson agreed.

"So… you wanna do it again?"

Jackson raised a brow and said," How? We can't have our first kiss again."

Cana lightly pushed him, and they laughed. As they started to kiss again, they knew their relationship had now changed.

Jackson was a bundle of nerves, and you can tell by him tapping his foot, and shifting his eyes everywhere. A lot of thoughts were going through his head as well.

You would be the same if you were going to be a big brother today.

Today was the day that his sibling was going to be born. Earlier today, his mom's water broke, and she was rushed to the hospital. Him, Raven, and Cana sat in the hospital waiting room, waiting for any updates. The others would've been with them, but Gray and Natsu were liable to start a fight, even in a hospital, so Erza had brought them outside to make sure they wouldn't start one, or threaten them to behave or else they'll end up here. Lisanna had went with them, to make Natsu would be okay, while Mira and Elfman had gone to get something to eat in the Cafeteria. Sato was already on his way, after Hal had called him with a Lacrima.

Cana placed a hand on shoulder, and said," You know, if I didn't know better, I would assume you drank a whole lot of coffee." She teased. "Everything's going to be fine."

Jackson gave her a sheepish look, and said," I know… I guess the excitement is just getting to me."

Cana kissed his cheek, and said," Y'know, you're cute when you act like that." And she smirked when he blushed a little.

"Bleh, do you have to do that when I'm here." Raven dramatically said.

"He's my boyfriend, who's also my best friend. Of course I have to." Cana said, and then stage whispered." Also, I like it when he's flustered."

"Your face is flustered." Jackson said.

"Really, is that-"

Cana was stopped when Jackson pecked her cheek, and he grinned when she blushed a little as well.

"Ugh, I liked it better when you guys were oblivious to each other." Gray groaned.

Him, Erza, Happy, Natsu, and Lisanna came back from outside, although the two males looked a little scuffed up. So it didn't leave much to the imagination to what happened to them.

Raven sniggered and said," Told you guys."

Erza thought otherwise, and said," I believe that it is a great way to show their affection for one another."

"Yeah, it's so romantic." Lisanna swooned a little.

"Yep, they love each other." Happy fake swooned, and he giggled alongside Raven.

Those comments caused the couple to blush in embarrassment.

They weren't that bad, were they?

"I think it's gross. So, when is Wren number 2 going to be here? All this waiting is boring." Natsu said in a bored tone.

Gray rolled his eyes, and said," Don't you remember what Gramps said when you asked him to use magic to hatch Happy? It's best to wait, and using magic will make things worse. So you'll have to wait like the rest of us."

Natsu crossed his arms with huff, but didn't say anything.

One of the doors to the waiting room slammed open, and everyone jumped up, they were about to go into attack positions, when they saw Mira and Elfman come into the room, looking excited.

"Jacks! On our way back here, your dad found us, and said your mom gave birth already! C'mon!" Mira excitedly said.

Before Mira could even finish, Jackson and Raven sprinted to his parent's room, or Raven had sprouted her wings, and Raven was carrying him. While the others ran off after them.

Once they made it to the door, Raven let go of Jackson, and he unfortunately ended up running into the wall that was next to the door.

"Oops, sorry." Raven sheepishly said.

The door opened, and Hal looked out to find his son stuck to the wall. He gave Raven a slightly pointed look, and helped his son unstuck himself.

Jackson groaned and said, "I am so glad that there's a spell on these that make them hard to break."

Hal chuckled a little, and led both him and Raven inside; he then turned around to see Cana leading everyone towards the room. He gave her a quick stopping motion, and she understood, and stopped everyone else. Hal would let everyone else come in a few minutes, after the family got settled.

Jackson and Raven walked into the room, or in Raven's case, flew towards Iden. She did look a little disheveled, and tired, but she was smiling.

"Jackson, Raven, meet the newest member of our family." She said and gazed lovingly at the tiny bundle in her arms.

The both of them smiled at the baby girl, she had a small tuft of light auburn, which would probably change to a darker tone like Iden's. She was peacefully sleeping, and they could see the rise and fall of her chest.

Jackson took off his glasses, and wiped his eyes, while he smiled. Hal placed a hand on shoulder, and squeezed. Raven gazed closer at the girl, and cooed a little.

"She's adorable, not as adorable as me. What's her name?"

"Asuna. Asuna Wren." Iden said.

Jackson leaned down to his new sister, and said," Hey sis, I'm your big brother, Jackson. Welcome to the family."

"Hey! Can we come in now?" Natsu yelled from outside.

"Natsu, they are bonding as a family. Don't ruin it." Erza said.

Everyone in the room gave each other amused looks, and Hal went over to open the door.

"Alright guys, come on in. But speak softly, she's asleep."

As everyone gathered around, and then started to voice on how cute she was, and asked questions about her, or how Iden was doing. During all of this, Jackson had a thought, and it made him smile.

Asuna didn't just have this family, but she also had an extended family in the form of everyone, especially those he considered friends who were in this room now.

Also I know the ending is cheesy, but the guild is centered around family, so I thought ending this chapter like that worked.

Next chapter will be another time skip, and I know you all have noticed that Jackson hasn't used his magic much, but don't worry, he will be using his magic more soon.
