Get That Blood Pumping!

A few days had passed since the USJ Incident and Goku's body had almost been destroyed by Kaioken x20. The villains that had been defeated by Class 1-A were rounded up by the heroes and the police, Nomu included. From the little info All Might had told Goku at the hospital and the little info the police had it was clear that Nomu had been given multiple quirks and the process had caused him to go braindead with only Shigaraki being the one to give him orders. Goku had returned to Class 1-A with his wounds fully and his determination to become a hero still very much intact. He also now knew about All Might's true form and after discovering, albeit through trickery, that Deku also knew he could now discuss the topic with his friend but only in private. The only people who probably got the worse punishment from the USJ Incident were Aizawa and Thirteen. Luckily they were recovering and no one had actually died.

Fast forward to the current situation in Class 1-A and it was clear to see why the class was in shock at who their homeroom teacher was at the moment.

"Alright so we're going to prepare for the UA sports festival. This will be your chance to shine and possibly earn a temporary place at an agency as part of an internship" explained the heavily bandaged and still heavily sombre Aizawa who was remarkably still up for teaching and showing up at UA. The class on the other hand had no idea why he was out of the hospital.

"WHAT?! Why are you here and not at the hospital?!" yelled the pink skinned girl called Mina Ashido.

"Yeah! Better question is when do we get ourselves ready for the sports festival Mr Aizawa?!" followed up Kaminari who was pumped to get to show off his skill. The entire class began discussing their training for the festival and what they would show off should they get the chance. Goku was more concerned about resting himself and showed genuine concern for his homeroom teacher as did Deku, Uraraka and Momo. The four of them had noticed a scar under Aizawa's right eye.

"Uh Mr Aizawa. Is your eye ok?" asked Uraraka and Aizawa turned to look at her.

"It's fine. Only problem is that due to the injury I can't keep my eyes open as long as I used to" he explained as the four students concerned either put their hand over their mouth in shock or just looked sympathetic. Aizawa had grown tired of the class' antics and turned back to them.

"That's enough. We'll discuss the sports festival later. You've got English now" he solemnly muttered and all of a sudden the eccentric madman hero that is Present Mic burst through the door yelling.

"ALRIGHT! WHO'S READY TO LEARN?!" he screamed with enthusiasm. The class just groaned minus Goku who cracked his neck and became surprisingly alert. The lesson passed on by with Goku answering and getting right pretty much every question asked. The class stared at him with disbelief and Present Mic just looked surprised yet slightly proud at the same time. Once the lesson ended the class made their way to the lunch hall.

"Hey Goku how are you so good at English?" asked Jiro with an eyebrow raised. Goku turned his head and smiled at her.

"Well it's my first language. I was born in the United States and came over here when I was about five years old. So, you could say I got the best of both worlds. English and Japanese. I'm bilingual!" he cheered with a goofy smile while Jiro just laughed. Goku turned back to make sure he wasn't about to crash into anything. They arrived at the food hall and immediately the ritual of Goku eating plate upon plate of food begun and soon finished. Then to the shock of even his friends he took a run around the entire school and asked Momo to time him. She did exactly that. Once his run was complete he saw that his time was 38.89 seconds. He smiled and proceeded that he would call it a day for now. The four friends made their way back to their class where Aizawa was sure to be waiting for them.

"Uh Goku. Why did you do that?" asked Kaminari.

"Hey if the sports festival is coming up I've got to be in tip top shape after the USJ Incident. Can't let those injuries stop me!" came the enthusiastic yet natural reply for the training loving teenager. His peers just smiled and the four walked back into their homeroom. Once they took their seats Aizawa pulled up some info about the sports festival which got everyone riled up in a good way.

"Alright so this sports festival is a highly televised and as I said earlier will be a perfect opportunity to show what you are best at. Quirks are permitted of course. The order of events will be an obstacle course, then an unknown event and then a tournament where the eight contestants who get through the second event fight it out in brackets. Don't underestimate each other" he explained as the entire class felt fired up. Goku noticed Bakugo with an arrogant smile on his face.

"Psst Jiro. Bakugo may go overboard during the tournament part" Goku whispered to his friend. Jiro rolled her eyes and chuckled.

"No kidding" she smirked before glancing at Bakugo.

"One last thing. You'll be going up against not only each other but also Class 1-B, the General Studies students, the Support course students and the Business students. So you best shine because if any of those other students do better than you, they may take your place in this class" he snidely remarked with his signature sinister smile. Everyone in the class, minus Bakugo, Todoroki and Goku, had a look of shock on their faces. Goku chuckled before leaning back in his chair. He began to breath heavily as he imagined the strong opponents he would come up against. He knew this was going to be fun and he felt his heart beating faster at the prospect of fighting someone as strong if not stronger than him.

"Keep yourself together Goku. Sure you can fight strong people but remember why you want to do this. To be strong enough to stop villains from hurting people" he told himself under his breath. He raised his head with iron-willed determination. He failed to notice Uraraka with an extremely competitive aura. Clenching his fist in front of him Goku closed his eyes and then opened them again to look dead ahead at the board.

"Let's do this"
