Teamwork Makes The Dreamwork!

"Deku let's team up!" beamed Uraraka. Deku's eyes went wide and filled with tears while Goku laughed about the whole situation.

"Uraraka! Are you sure?! Why would you want to team up with me?! I've got a massive bounty on my head!" he cried while Goku crouched down and held his stomach while his laughter got harder and more painful.

"Of course I'm sure. Besides it's good to work with friends right?" she asked with the same smile on her face. Deku's face scrunched up as if someone had just tugged on his heart strings. Uraraka looked concerned.

"Woah Deku. Is your face okay? You look really ugly" Uraraka said with confusion on her face. Goku, who had stopped laughing, looked at the situation, saw Deku's face and then proceeded to laugh once more. Both of his friends looked at him before Uraraka joined in the laughter with a small chuckle and Deku wiped away his tears.

"Ah oh that was perfect" Goku said as he calmed down and wiped away his tears that had appeared while he was laughing.

"I'm with you Deku. We just need one more person" he said as he scratched his chin. Suddenly two arms appeared behind him and started to massage his muscles. Goku looked down in confusion and awkwardness before his eyes opened and he started to freak out as did Deku and Uraraka.

"WOW! You've got big muscles! You've got to let me use you to make more beautiful babies! You've also got to let me team with you so I can advertise my babies!" a pink-haired girl enthusiastically exclaimed before stepping away from Goku and taking her goggles off. Goku composed himself as did the other two members of his team. The girl turned to face Deku.

"I'm Mei Hatsume! I'm gonna be part of your team if you let me!" the girl named Mei said as she introduced herself.

"Um yeah sure. No worries. We could use the help" Deku said with unease but thankfulness.

"Okay. We've got our team. Me, Uraraka and Mei will be the carriers and you will be on the top Deku. So with the positioning out of the way, what's the plan?" asked Goku who smirked as Deku gave a confident smile.

"I'm glad you asked" came the calm reply. As Deku explained the plan the preparation time grew shorter and shorter until finally the cavalry battle was ready to begin.

"On your marks. Get set. Let the cavalry battle begin!" exclaimed Midnight. Almost instantly every single team in the event made a beeline for Goku, Deku, Uraraka and Mei. The reactions from the four were unsurprisingly different. Deku looked panicked. Mei seemed eager. Uraraka seemed determined. Goku had a smirk on his face. Since Goku was at the front of the carriers he was able to clearly see which two teams were the most concerning. On his right was Todoroki's team which consisted of half n' half himself, Momo, Iida and Kaminari. On his left was Bakugo's team which consisted of him, Mina, Kirishima and another member of Class 1-A called Hanta Sero. Planting his feet firmly, Goku prepared for phase one of Deku's plan.

"You guys ready?" he calmly asked.

"You bet! Let's do this!" came Uraraka's reply. On cue the girl of gravity touched Goku's back and Mei's shoulder with her free hand.

"Ok Goku, Mei. I've used my quirk on you" she said with concentration.

"Anytime Goku!" cried Deku. Goku smirked as he watched the two problem teams approach. He wanted to leave it as late as possible before fulfilling his part of the plan. Eventually he got his wish.

"And lift off!" he yelled as he crouched his legs and leapt into the air with Uraraka holding onto his back and Mei using one of her many inventions to follow his upwards trajectory. All teams looked up in shock at what had just happened. Bakugo on the other hand…

"GET BACK HERE DEKU! I'M NOT LOSING TO A DAMN NERD!" he screamed as his team immediately took off. From their vantage point in the air Goku could see all teams going after people for their points which were as explained on headbands.

"Alright Mei. Uraraka's quirk is keeping us up here but we will need to land before this is classed as cheating. Time to use it!" yelled Deku with a fire burning in his eyes.

"Time to use my baby!" beamed Mei before she pressed a button on the propulsion unit on her legs. The force pushed them forward albeit spinning and Goku held onto Deku extra tight as to make sure he didn't full off. Deku on the other hand was more concerned about making sure the headband stayed on his head. Mei was laughing with pure ecstasy while Uraraka was trying not to throw up. Eventually the spinning stopped and the four of them were above a clear area in the arena. Uraraka deactivated her quirk and Goku made sure they landed safely.

"Woo! That was fun. We aren't out of the water yet though guys!" exclaimed Goku as they turned to see Todoroki's team once more approaching them. Bakugo's team wasn't and it appeared that the explosion-loving madman was going after Monoma's team. Not that Goku was complaining.

"You won't get away again Midoriya" said Todoroki as he launched an ice wave towards his target. Goku, Mei and Uraraka jumped backwards slightly with Goku destroying the ice wave with a kick. Todoroki wasn't finished though as he kept launching ice wave after ice wave. Eventually Deku's team landed only to find that they had to move again as Todoroki continued his onslaught. However, as Mei attempted to jump she found herself unable to which caused the entire team to nearly fall apart.

"What the? She questioned as she looked down to see a purple ball stuck to the ground and the sole of her propulsion boot. A purple ball the residents of Class 1-A knew all to well.

"Mineta?! Where?!" asked Deku with nervousness as his eyes scanned the arena. His eyes widened and he barely managed to move his head put of the way as a pink tongue whipped towards the headbands on his head. It then whipped back with Deku following it to see it recede into a covered area which had been formed out of Shoji's arms. He then opened his eyes in shock as he saw the silhouette of Mineta and the froglike girl from the USJ Incident.

"Asui?" he silently asked.

"Who's that? The frog girl?" asked Goku with a raised eyebrow. Deku nodded.

"Yes. Her name is Tsuyu Asui" he responded. Goku narrowed his eyes before signalling for Uraraka and Mei to take off with him. The four fled with the carriers running as fast as they could. Mineta's team followed only to get trapped in ice that was formed at their feet by Todoroki whose team was still as relentless as ever. This time though was different. Iida's engines on his calves lit up and he burst forward with the rest of his team being pushed forward since he was at the back. Before even Goku could react the headband on Deku's forehead had been ripped off by Todoroki, who then proceeded to tie it around his forehead. Deku went into panic mode as did Goku, Uraraka and Mei. By this point Bakugo's team had dealt with Monoma and was making their way over to Todoroki.

"I'm going in!" cried Deku as he reached out his hand while Todoroki was busy preparing for Bakugo's inevitable arrival. Grabbing onto a headband he believeed to be the 10 million points he pulled his arm back to his chest. When he opened the palm of his hand his eyes went wide in shock and panic.

"I only got the seventy points!" he cried out. Uraraka panicked. Mei didn't seem bothered. Goku fumbled to quickly hide something.

"GIVE IT HERE ICYHOT!" creamed Bakugo in rage as he launched off his carriers towards Todoroki. Deku's team lunged at Todoroki at the same time with Deku prepping a punch with his quirk. Goku's eyes widened in shock as he saw flames appear around Todoroki's left hand which was outstretched. Just as it all seemed like Deku and Bakugo would end up fighting for the 1 million points a sound went off. A sound signifying the end of the cavalry battle.

"And that's time! Well done to all teams and here is the leaderboard of who will go through to the final event!" announced Midnight as she raised her 'feather duster' into the air. The audience went ballistic. Bakugo fell to the ground and faceplanted. Deku jumped off his carriers and looked despondent. Todoroki looked at his left hand and looked ashamed. Goku. Well Goku just smiled and gave a small chuckle. Uraraka and Deku turned to look at him as the leaderboard appeared with the results. Team Todoroki was first, Team Bakugo second and the team of a dark navy blue-haired boy which included Tokoyami and sparkle boy was in third place.

"What are you laughing about Goku? We lost!" cried Deku. Goku turned to face him before holding up what appeared to be a headband. Deku's eyes went wide.

"When did you grab that?!" he asked with shock. Uraraka was equally surprised and Mei wasn't paying attention. Goku stuck his thumb up and pointed it behind him at the leaderboard.

"When you grabbed the seventy points I was going for the ten million as well. Due to the timing I grabbed this one without Todoroki noticing. Not bad right?" he confidently said as the 360 points on the headband became visible for his team. Deku then looked past him to see that in fourth place was the team name 'Midoriya'.

"WAAAAAHHHH!" he cried as water erupted from his eyes upwards and the ground beneath him slightly collapsed in comical style. Uraraka looked happy and smiled, Mei looked excited to show off her inventions and Goku looked humble as always.

"Alright. Who is looking forward to the tournament?" asked Midnight.

"Um miss? I don't want to participate in the tournament. That boy over there. I think it's something to do with his quirk but I don't remember doing anything. I withdraw" asked the fourth member of the team Tokoyami belonged to. Midnight nodded her head and offered the place to someone from the fifth place team which just so happened to be Kendo's team.

"Nah I'm done for today. Tetsutetsu you take the spot" she said with the boy in question looking shocked.

"Really?! You're the best Kendo!" he cried in appreciation as his name along with the names of the other contestants appearing on a tournament bracket. The first matches were as follows:

Midoriya vs Shinso (who Goku assumed was the blue-haired boy)

Todoroki vs Sero

Kaminari vs Goku

Iida vs Mei

Aoyama vs Mina (Aoyama being assumed to be sparkle boy)

Tokoyami vs Momo

Kirishima vs Tetsutetsu

Bakugo vs Uraraka

"Before the first match there will be mini games during the break in which the teams who didn't get through can earn bonus prizes. See you soon!" announced Midnight. The tournament contestants made their way to the waiting room. Goku was the last to leave and as he looked at the leaderboard he had but one thought.

"This looks interesting. Time to get excited!"
