The Fruits Of Your Training

"Wow this is boring" said Goku with a sombre tone. The minigames had ended and he was currently watching Deku walk to the edge of the arena after being caught by this Shinso's quirk. Which would have been worrying had Goku not known about Deku's connection to All Might and his tenacity. Also it was less of a fight and more of a mental battle which bored Goku out of his mind. Eventually Deku won the match and the next contestants prepared to duke it out. Those contestants being Todoroki and Sero.

"That was anticlimactic" complained Goku once more before he stood up and made his way to the arena for his match with Kaminari who showed visible nervousness. No one blamed him considering how his last match against Goku went. The two faced each other down with Goku twitching with anticipation and Kaminari crackling with electricity. The pair smiled at each other.

"ALRIGHT! NOW WE'VE GOT ELECTRIC WAVE AND SPIKY HAIR! YOU READY?!" screamed Present Mic from the commentators booth. Goku and Kaminari rolled their eyes at the nicknames while the crowd cheered.

"Ready? Begin!" announced Midnight. Immediately a blast of electricity launched at Goku who dodged out of the way before rushing forward towards Kaminari with a fist raised. The electric powered boy responded in kind by crackling electricity around his hands and throwing his own punch with his right hand. The two fists collided with Goku wincing in pain as the electricity crackled around his fist. Yet he smirked at the same time. The two continued to trade blows while moving towards the centre of the ring.

"How is Kaminari going toe to toe with Goku when he couldn't even stand a chance with me against him in the battle simulation?" asked Jiro in shock. Everyone in Class 1-A could see Kaminari standing his ground and they were shocked.

"Perhaps he got some training?" asked Mina. Nobody seemed to agree or disagree and instead watched the fight play out even more. Kaminari threw another electric powered punch which Goku ducked under before elbowing Kaminari in the stomach causing him to lurch backwards and spit out saliva in pain and shock. After being pushed back Kaminari wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and gave a large grin.

"You know Goku, I really appreciate the training you've done with me. I'm much better at hand-to-hand combat than before. And I haven't fried my brain yet!" he exclaimed with gratitude.

"Hey Goku. Wait up!" yelled Kaminari from behind Goku who was making his way to the main gate. Goku turned around and saw his friend.

"What's up Kaminari?" he asked with a small smile. Kaminari panted before standing up straight.

"Um considering the upcoming sports festival and the possibility of me getting to the tournament section I was wondering if you could maybe sort of give me training in close quarters combat?" he nervously asked. Goku frowned.

"Why me? Can't you ask Mr Aizawa if he could train you?" he asked with confusion.

"Uh he's injured remember dude" Kaminari replied.

"Oh yeah! Haha" Goku chuckled while scratching the back of his head. Kaminari facepalmed before waiting for his friend's response.

"Sure I mean I'll help. Training is training and it's way more interesting to train against someone else" stated Goku at last with a smile. Kaminari comically jumped for joy before planting his feet on the ground and bowing his head.

"Thanks man! I appreciate it!" he said before standing up straight.

"Glad I could help out" said Goku. Kaminari's eyes closed before giving a wicked smirk catching Goku off-guard.

"You may have helped with hand-to-hand but I trained to direct my electricity with precision and while this move isn't perfect yet it is incredibly powerful" he explained before getting into a squat position, back up straight and both arms out with his hands open. Suddenly electricity crackled around both hands and the power output built up exponentially. Goku didn't react. Kaminari then swung his arms around to the front of his body with his hands cupped together but tensing as the electricity became more focused and more powerful.

"Oh oh" Goku finally stated as he realised the situation he was in. Kaminari's face showed determination and pure concentration. Goku got into a stance, the same one as when he fought Nomu, and began to charge his signature beam attack.

"Ka. Me. Ha. Me" he chanted as the crowd quietened in anticipation.

"Not bad. But are you brave enough to take this one Goku?!" yelled Kaminari as the electricity reached its breaking point.

"FINAL FLASH!" he screamed as a massive yellow beam of electricity was blasted forward towards Goku whose eyes flashed the same blue as before.

"HAAAAAA!" screamed Goku as he thrust his hands forward and his beam of blue energy was blasted forward. The two beams collided with such force that the ring fractured from the collision. Both Goku and Kaminari showed determination on their faces as the constant battle between their two beam attacks intensified.

"RRRAAAGGGHHH!" growled Goku at the top of his lungs.

"HAAAAAAH!" screamed Kaminari in response.

"You know I'm really impressed Kaminari. You've not only harnessed your electricity into one point but you've created a beam of electricity out of it" said Goku with his eyes closed and his head slightly bowed.

"Th…thanks. It's pretty powerful isn't it?" Kaminari replied as his voice strained. It was clear that he was struggling to hold Goku's Kamehameha back.

"Yeah. But you forgot one thing" Goku said as he raised his head and his eyes opened with mischievous intent. Kaminari's eyes opened in shock and disbelief.

"No don't you dare!" he cried. His efforts to hold back the Kamehameha were in vain as Goku uttered a single word.

"KAIOKEN!" screamed the now red covered boy. The Kamehameha grew larger with energy and power and easily overwhelmed Kaminari's Final Flash which dissipated in a crackle of electricity.

"AAAAAHHHH!" screamed Kaminari in pain as the Kamehameha enveloped him blasting him backwards out of the ring. As the dust cleared the audience could see Goku depowered standing up straight and Kaminari unconscious outside the ring. The crowd erupted into cheers and Goku shook the remaining blue ki from his hands in victory. He then made his way over to Kaminari and saw his friend being taken to the infirmary.

"GOKU WINS!" screamed Present Mic as the cheers from the crowd grew louder. Goku breathed heavily before smiling. He made his way back to his seat up in the stands and proceeded to watch the next lot of matches. He was impressed by what he saw and felt anger when Bakugo brutally fought Uraraka. Suddenly someone sat down next to him and to his relief he turned and saw Kaminari fully healed with a few plasters on his arms and face.

"Sorry about that Kaminari" Goku apologised. His friend just waved his head in response and smiled at him.

"Don't worry about it. It was a fair match although I think you were holding back regardless of your Kaioken" his friend said.

"Yeah. If I'd gone full strength you'd be dead" Goku awkwardly stated while scratching the back of his head. Kaminari went eye wide at that statement.

"Seriously?! Thanks for not doing that" he quickly said. Goku laughed and the two friends shared a fist bump. They then turned back to watch the match between Deku and Todoroki which ended when Deku forced Todoroki to use his left side of his body, the fire side of his quirk, which half n half in response then used to beat Deku. The green-haired boy was taken away to the infirmary. Goku stood up to go see him when he remembered that he had a match against Iida.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances Tenya Iida has withdrawn from the sports festival. His match against Son Goku has therefore been cancelled with Goku going through to the next round against Todoroki. Sorry for the inconvenience" announced Midnight over the intercom. Goku's face morphed into one of annoyance and sadness. Yet he also felt concern for Iida who had mysteriously vanished. He sat back down and watched the next two matches. Once Tokoyami had beaten Mina and Bakugo had beaten Kirishima, he made his way to the ring to face Todoroki who looked unsure of himself. Goku decided to break the ice.

"Look I can see you are contemplating whether you should use your fire or not. Let me get one thing straight. I will come at you at full force and I don't expect you to hold back. Even if you don't use your left side at least use your current full power of your ice got it?" he challenged. Todoroki looked at him before closing his eyes in thought.

"Very well" was his simple reply.

"Let the match commence!" announced Midnight. Instantly Goku was encapsulated in a massive block of ice, around the same size that Sero was trapped in during his match against Todoroki earlier. The crowd looked on in shock and Todoroki simply sighed. Just as Midnight prepared to announce Todoroki as the victor a loud boom echoed around the stadium. Everyone looked at the ice and saw cracks start to form in the ice formation. Suddenly ice exploded everywhere as Goku burst out of it and lunged at Todoroki.

"KAIOKEN TIMES THREE!" he yelled as he smashed through Todoroki's ice waves to grab the boy by his gym shirt. He then proceeded to lift Todoroki into the air and threw him over his shoulders and slammed him into the ground. Goku then held the palm of his hand out with a ki blast charging in it. He fired the blast and it blasted Todoroki backwards out of the ring. The crowd cheered but one person wasn't happy at all. Goku slammed his fist into the ground in anger and the earth cracked.

"Damnit!" he growled. He marched over to where Todoroki was lying on the ground unconscious. Goku grabbed him by the shirt and lifted his upper body off the ground with rage in his eyes.

"Why didn't you go all out?! Wake up and get back to fighting!" he yelled at his opponent. He raised a fist and looked geared to throw a punch before losing the motivation and dropping his fist down to his side and letting Todoroki's shirt go. He then stood up and closed his eyes as he powered down to his base state.

"Go on. Say it" came his emotionless command to Midnight who simply nodded and did as instructed.

"The winner is… Son Goku!" she announced with the boy in question walking back to take his seat in the stands. He sat down in frustration and didn't react to anything anyone was saying. Once the match between Tokoyami and Bakugo had begun Goku simply stood up and made his way to the waiting room where he sat down in silence. After a while the door slammed open and Goku looked up to see Bakugo standing in the doorway in confusion and annoyance.

"The hell are you doing in here?" he questioned menacingly. Goku didn't react.

"This is my waiting room" he replied. Bakugo went to say some more when he suddenly noticed that he was indeed in the wrong waiting room. Not wanting to look like an idiot he kicked a chair over and got in Goku's face.

"I want you to go all out against me you got that?!" he threatened. Goku just looked him dead in the eyes.

"Likewise" was his reply. He didn't know why but Goku's reply really pissed Bakugo off. He stormed out the room. A few moments later someone came to collect Goku and he made his way to the arena where he faced down Bakugo. To the audience the match appeared like it was going to progress like the others. Little did they know that something would happen that would change both contestants forever.

Something that would change everything.

Please don't hurt me. It's meant to resemble the Final Flash from Jump Force cause that literally looks like electricity.
