Yoda sighed as they found themselves caught in traffic, "Urgent, this is. An inconvenience, this is."

"It's like everyone is out." Master Windu also frowned at the traffic.

"Hmmm."

Braking at some lights, they watched a security car pulled up beside them, the two bots glancing over at them.

It was nothing unusual.

The light turned green and they continued moving forwards, driving through the intersection. They were halfway across when suddenly there was a large impact on the left side of the hovercar, sending it skidding off through several lines of traffic.

From little they saw, it was clear that it was another security car. Literally three seconds later, four other security cars barricaded them in. One at the front, one on the right side, another on the left and one at the back.

Wincing, Windu glanced around him, blood streaming down his face, wrist broken. "Master Yoda! Master Yoda, are you alright?"

"Bruised, I am. Survive, I will." Yoda then gave him a concerned look as Windu hissed in pain.

"I've been better." Windu answered the silent question, pulling out his lightsabre to deflect oncoming laser blasts, "We're blocked in from every side." He hissed, "Any plans?"

"Only one way, there is." Yoda stated, before looking over the side.

It was then that Windu knew what the older Jedi was hinting.

"Skywalker will never let us hear the end of this." He muttered, "Switching off gravity modulator… NOW!"

He flicked a switch, as the car suddenly dropped, freeing itself from the blockade as the two Jedi clung onto the seats. Once they were far enough away, it was switched back on and they sped off once again.

"Call the Temple, we should."

"Communications are down." Windu glanced at the slightly smouldering control panel, "We need to get out of here and quickly."

Lasers continued to be fired at them, as the security cars gave chase, none of them caring about the innocent bystanders. Windu slammed on the brakes, two of the security cars continuing forwards right into the path of a shipping carrier.

"Get out of here, we should."

"I'll take us down to ground level." Windu stated, "We can use some of the side alleys there to lose them."

Yoda nodded in agreement, silently watching as they headed down in said streets… only to narrow their eyes in confusion.

Standing in the middle of the street, was a man clad entirely in black, a hood hiding his identity from them, a red lightsabre in his hands.

Sith Lord.

The man raised a hand, before almost lazily flicking it to one side, sending their car flipping over.

That was the last thing Yoda remembered for a while.

Windu however, remembered everything. There wasn't one part of his body that didn't ache after that attack.

"Master Yoda?"

Silence.

Twisting around, he winced when he saw the older Jedi. Blood on his head from an injury, wrist swollen to almost twice its original size. Turning his attention back to the outside of the vehicle, he reached out for his lightsabre, which had unclipped from his belt.

The Sith was getting closer.

Slicing a hole into the ground, he grabbed Master Yoda and pulled him through, into the sewers that ran underneath Coruscant.

This situation was more dangerous than any of them realised.

…..

Obi-Wan rubbed his eyes as the morning sun crept through his window.

Could he hear music?

Groaning under his breath, he slowly got out of the bed. He thought that after Anakin moved out, he wouldn't have to deal with rude morning awakenings. He switched the main light on, only to flinch back at the sight of Master Yoda and Master Windu sitting on his sofa.

"Masters! What happened?!"

The pair of them were covered in bumps, bruises and cuts. It also looked as though some bones may have been broken as well.

"A slight situation, we ran into." Yoda muttered weakly, "Being pursued, we are. A new Sith Lord, there is."

"A Sith Lord?" Obi-Wan shook his head, "Another one?"

"Hmmm."

"How did you… how did you manage to get back."

"A Jedi must be prepared for all eventualities." Master Windu winced in pain, "Which includes hot wiring a spare hover-car." Before he could explain any further, his eyes widened.

Everyone felt the warning in the Force, but he was the one to react first.

He dived in front of Master Yoda, the window smashing as laser bolts shot through them, hitting Windu in the chest.

"MASTER WINDU!" Obi-Wan's eyes shot to the window, but there was nothing to be seen.

A sniper…. And a very good one.

He moved to investigate further, only to feel a grip on the leg of his pants, prompting him to glance down at Master Windu and kneel by him.

Windu then pressed something into his hands.

"Keep… it… safe." The older Master whispered, before passing out.

"Call a healer!" Obi-Wan cried out, "Now!"

….

Master Windu died half an hour later.
