New and Improved
The day had arrived. The team that was to raid the Shie Hassaikai HQ was ready. They were waiting outside with numerous police officers. Deku with Togata and Nighteye. Uraraka, Tsuyu and Nejire with Ryukyu. Kirishima and Amajiki with Fat Gum. Mirko with…no one.
"Where's the damn kid?" she grumbled as her eyes darted around, "Useless. Thought he wanted to be a part of this." Indeed Goku had wanted to participate and still was. Though with his lack of appearance, it was clear something was up.
"We don't have time to wait for him. We attack now" declared Nighteye. Deku tensed and powered up to One For All Full Cowling 8%. He was determined to make up for his failure in the past. He would save Eri no matter what.
"Now hold up a second. We can't start without one of our big guns here. The kid's a powerhouse!" argued Mirko. Nighteye rubbed her the wrong way. His demeanour was one of stern and slow. Something that collided with Mirko's fast paced, adrenaline loving personality. At least that's how she saw it.
"And he didn't show. Not a huge loss I assure you" was the reply. Mirko saw red but Ryukyu's hand on her shoulder caught her attention.
"Leave it. I believe he will show. We just have to be patient" assured the Dragoon Hero.
"Goku's not one to miss out on something like this. He'll be here" agreed Aizawa. Mieko rolled her eyes and nodded. Then she turned back to face their target. A police officer used a megaphone to alert the Yakuza to their presence. They had to play this by the book. Well initially that is. A few seconds passed before a massive member of the gang burst out of the front door and charged straight at the raid team.
"This is it! With me!" cried Ryukyu as she transformed into her dragon form. The two behemoths collided, the Yakuza's giant focusing entirely on her. Uraraka, Tsuyu and Nejire began to assist her while the police force and rest of the gathered heroes made for the basement of the base. Deku shot forward along with Togata to knock some of their enemies out of the way. Mirko was having a blast already as her adrenaline got pumping. She bounced from gang member to gang member as she advanced forwards. The initial assault was a success. As the heroes and police poured into the facility, the Hassaikai members began to retreat. It didn't take long for Nighteye to find the entrance to the basement with the plan they had decided finally getting underway.
"Had I haven't had this much fun in like ever!" cried Mirko in glee.
"You say that every time" replied Aizawa in a disinterested voice. He wasn't wrong. He was so confident in this that when Mirko said it again just after Amajiki volunteered to deal with three members of the Yakuza by himself, Aizawa simply pinched the sides of his nose. Then he realised that it was quiet. Too quiet.
"This place will be your graves!" screamed a voice that echoed throughout the entire compound. Almost immediately the hallway began to morph and twist. Routes were cut off, walls appeared to separate the teams and doorways opened up to show more gang members.
"Aizawa look out!" warned Fat Gum as he leapt to push Aizawa out of the way of a beam of concrete being shot at him. Aizawa grunted and turned around to see Fat Gum blown into another room that was immediately sealed off. When Aizawa looked around to see who remained he realised that Kirishima had also vanished. Most likely when Fat Gum had which meant two people had dived for him and paid the price.
"Damnit" he said through gritted teeth.
"Don't go soft now Erasure! The fun's just starting!" remarked Mirko. The look in her eyes whenever she got fired up was still very much there but had now been amplified by the more dire situation, "Let's go deal with…" She never finished the sentence as she was suddenly hit by another pillar. Unable to get clear in time all she could do was watch as she was separated from the team. The opening sealed and she found herself in a lit room. Alone. A fact she didn't mind.
"If I kill Mirko I'll gain the respect of the boss and every other member of the underworld!" came the sadistic voice of the only other person in the room with Mirko. The heroine turned and faced him. Her eyes immediately opened in shock. In front of her was the spitting image of Frieza with some major differences. For starters his eyes didn't show anywhere near as much evil and he appeared considerably weaker. Appearances deceive though. He also appeared slightly shorter. His skin colour was the same as Frieza's with the same blood-coloured eyes. The lines going down from each eye remained but were a dark blue instead of purple. His hair was a bright, bolded blue which matched the centre of his chest armour in colour. In fact his skin-type armour was different too. Rather than being simply white and purple, his chest-guard was white with the aforementioned blue centre. His arms were blue, and his legs pass his knees were the same white as his chest-guard. His upper leg armour was a black/dark grey. His hands shared the same blue as his arms while his wrist gauntlets were white. Not as threatening as Frieza but still a concerning sight. Well for anyone who wasn't Mirko that is.
"What's this?! You some sort of Frieza wannabe?!" she burst into laughter and held her hand over her eyes as she tilted her neck back. Her laughter echoed throughout the area. This figure clenched his fists and tightened his jaw in anger.
"You dare compare me to Frieza?! I am his superior in every way!" screamed the Frieza lookalike, "And I recall he lost to a child right? What a weakling. All talk and nothing to show for it."
"Yeah he did. Lost to a strong kid by the sounds of it. His empire went into chaos right? Didn't take long for it to be properly dismantled" Mirko shrugged with a grin, "By the way who are you exactly?" The figure crossed his arms over his chest and grinned.
"Frieza was my cousin. The last of my bloodline. I am all that remains. You may call me Frost" he revealed. Without a break his aura shot to life and he rocketed towards Mirko who simply stood her ground. As Frost through a punch, Mirko stepped to the side and roundhouse kicked him in the back. The villain crashed into the ground but got straight back up again and shot some death beams. Being related to Frieza meant that they essentially had gone through the same experiments to give them multiple quirks and make them stronger. It also meant Frost hadn't revealed his true power yet.
"I'm getting bored here" admitted Mirko as she effortlessly dodged the death beams. Frost snarled before smirking.
"Very well. Let's make this worth the time" he said as he began to power up. His aura roared to life and his skin turned white. There were bound to be other changes but due to his body armour they weren't visible. Once he had completed his transformation an explosion ripped through the air and Mirko barely got clear in time.
"Now the real fight begins!" screamed Frost as he appeared behind his victim and shot her clean through her left shoulder. Mirko grunted in pain and flipped over him with her feet planting in his back. Using all her leg strength she pushed off Frost, disorienting the villain, and then pushed off the wall she landed against to deliver a powerful kick to his head. Frost crashed into the ground. Instead of getting up straight away like last time, he began to growl in anger. The ground began to explode upwards and he swung his left arm behind him at the same time he turned his upper body to face Mirko. The rubble in the air was blasted straight at her.
"Child's play" she smirked as she sprinted towards Frost despite the condition of her shoulder. She manoeuvred around the debris and thrust herself off the ground. She threw a punch with her right arm; confident she would collide with Frost. That was when Frost smirked. He simply moved to the side and gently brushed her side with his right wrist. The skin contact went seemingly unnoticed by her as she landed and turned to land another blow. With her feet firm on the ground she went to throw a powerful jab only to falter just before connecting with Frost's face. Her sight went blurry and her body began to shut down, motion wise. Her legs wobbled for a few brief moments before buckling under her weight. She collapsed to the ground face first, desperately trying to push herself back up with her hands. Her eyes were shaking uncontrollably and with each attempt she fell back to the floor. On the bright side the pain in her left shoulder had numbed.
"Hoho. The great Rabbit Hero: Mirko has fallen to an invisible enemy" grinned Frost as he approached her. She just managed to lift her head, the anger plain to see.
"The hell did you do to me?" she growled with Frost stomping down on her back in response.
"A little paralysing agent that I injected into you through this here needle." He pointed at his right wrist and with what little vision Mirko had, she could barely make out a thin needle dripping with some sort of purple liquid.
"So you're not as strong as Frieza but you compensated" she muttered loud enough for him to here, "You sneaky bastard."
"Well you could say that I guess. Anyway it's time this little fight, if you can even call it that, reaches its conclusion." Frost pointed his right index finger at the back of Mirko's head, the purple energy building up. Mirko cursed herself for being easily caught off-guard and desperately tried anything to keep fighting, "I like to call this one 'Chaos Beam. Goodbye 'hero'." Frost never got the chance to fire the beam as a flurry of yellow blasts rained down from the sky around him. The villain stepped back from Mirko and whipped around wildly to see where the attacker was coming from.
"Who dares?!" he threatened. Then he saw it. A shadow loomed over him from behind. He turned but was unprepared for the strike that greeted him. The right arm of his attacker swung down and connected with Frost's face. The villain was helplessly smashed into the ground. He screamed in pain and as his body recoiled into the air from the impact, the figure grabbed him by the throat, swung him around and launched him at a wall. Mirko, aware of her saviour, felt her strength return, something she could only assume meant the poison's effects were wearing off. As she stood the dust from the initial attack dissipated and she smirked when she saw who it was.
"Took you long enough Spikes."
Goku stood up straight with a determined look on his face before turning around to face her. His demeanour changed almost instantly, and he closed his eyes with his signature goofy smile.
"Sorry about that. Lost track of the time and took a detour to get my new costume from Bulma. What do you think?" he asked with a nervous chuckle. Mirko looked the costume up and down before giving it a thumbs up of approval.
Goku's costume had been massively overhauled. Where his orange and blue Gi had once been, was now a black form-fitting short-sleeved shirt and black martial arts trousers, with black kung fu shoes and stockings. Over that he wore a flowing red vest with a long backside that was secured with a blue obi tied over it at his waist and blue armbands.
"Now that's what I expected from you kid. This Bulma knows her stuff" Mirko complimented and Goku's face became a calm happy one. He gave a small smile.
"Yeah she does. She decided to nickname it 'Xeno' or something like that. I think it looks great" he agreed.
"Xeno huh? That's my new nickname for you kid" Mirko grinned and Goku rolled his eyes. Then his mentor showed confusion, "Wait how'd you find me?"
"I can sense ki signatures remember. The moment I noticed yours was weakening I made a beeline straight here. Who did I hit by the way? Some sort of Frieza wannabe?" asked the boy in deep thought.
"It's Frost you pest!" screamed the aforementioned villain as he shot a Chaos Beam straight towards Goku who simply batted it away with ease. He turned to face the villain and his face hardened. He had gotten serious. Mirko had to admit that somehow the new costume had made him 'grow up'. Sure he was still a goofball at times, but he was in serious mode rather than energetic mode.
"Frost huh?" Also his voice had deepened slightly which confirmed Mirko's observation from before, "You related to Frieza or something then?"
"I'm his cousin! Don't compare me to him!" cried Frost as his red eyes began to glow. Goku remained unfazed, "How do you know of Frieza child?" It was Goku's turn to smirk.
"I'm the one who put him down permanently." Frost recoiled in fear and shock. Goku went Super and slowly approached the relative of his family's murderer.
"It was you?! Stay back! I mean it! Stay away from me!" pleaded a now terrified Frost. As Goku got within inches of him, Frost grinned and attempted to hit the teen with his needle. One prick would end this. Luck wasn't on his side unfortunately. Goku grabbed Frost's right wrist and then grabbed his left wrist when Frost tried again. He began to squeeze and twist. Frost howled in pain and fell to his knees.
"Please don't kill me! I'm sorry!" he cried with tears of fear. Goku pitied the sad excuse for a villain he saw before him. Not taking his eyes of Frost, he addressed Mirko.
"Seriously? You lost to this guy?" He was intentionally trying to aggravate Mirko who took the bait hook, line and sinker.
"Don't go getting cocky with me Xeno! I softened him up for you!" she defended. It was a lie, and everyone knew it. Goku sighed and carefully removed the needles from Frost's wrist gauntlets. Then he picked him up by the throat with his right hand; the villain clawing at it to get free.
"Luckily for you, I'm not going to kill you. Frieza killed my parents and my business with him is over. You nearly killed Mirko here but I'm going to forgive you as you're just trying to prove something" he explained with Frost becoming more relaxed.
"So you're just going to let me leave?" he stuttered only to receive a smile from Goku.
"Not exactly." Before Frost could ask another question, Goku headbutted him, knocking him out cold immediately. Then with his now unconscious body in Goku's grasp, the teen simply let go of his throat. Frost collapsed to the ground and Goku powered down. He brushed his hands together and turned around on his heel, making his way back to Mirko's side.
"Well I hate to say this but I kind of miss Frieza. At least he put up a good fight" he shrugged before laughing, "You ready to regroup with everyone?"
"You bet" winked Mirko as she punched his shoulder. Goku noticed her left shoulder and simply transferred some ki to her, healing the wound well enough for the time being.
"Let's get going then" he remarked and turned to face the direction of multiple ki signatures. The familiar ones anyway. He sensed Deku, Nighteye, Togata and Aizawa. However, something was off about Togata's. it felt as if something had been ripped out of him. Goku's eyes widened as he realised what may have happened.
"No way. It can't be" he muttered.
"What's up?" asked Mirko.
"I think Togata or Lemillion has had his quirk permanently erased. They perfected the formula" he said before his resolve hardened and he began charging a ki blast. When he was ready he fired it. Just before it collided with the wall a strange distort happened and the blast dissipated. Then he felt it.
"I'm afraid I can't let you leave yet. I have yet to fulfil my contract" the calm yet threatening voice came from the pair's right. They both turned and immediately took fighting stances. Across the room, a figure emerged from the darkness with is head down slightly, his eyes closed and his hands in the pocket of his trench coat. He lifted his head and opened his eyes. Goku and Mirko knew who he was.
The pair were about to get their wish.
