School Festival

Planning for the UA School Festival was underway!

Aizawa had informed 1A that it would go ahead but only after reaching a compromise with the authorities. Pros would patrol the perimeter of the school and should there be even the slightest hint of something bad happening, the festival would be shut down immediately. Despite this 1A was eager to get working on what they would showcase which led to the current conversation in their class. Aizawa, was as usual, fast asleep.

"I say we do a Maid Bar!" cried Mineta before drooling at the thought of the girls in skimpy maid uniforms.

"Absolutely not" replied Iida, shutting down the idea instantly. Mineta collapsed onto his desk in defeat while several of the girls breathe in relief. Jiro and Goku glanced at each other and tried desperately to hide in their laughter. The two had reconciled after their argument but what surprised the rest of the class was how much closer the two had gotten. It was if their friendship had strengthened. Goku was back to calling Jiro by her first name at her behest. She on the other hand had gotten the best possible outcome. She had her best friend back to normal after everything with Raditz.

"How about a fighting tournament?" suggested Goku rather happily. It would give him the chance to show off his new form and enhanced power to the school and visitors. Many shuddered at the suggestion.

"Kakarot I don't think a tournament is a very good idea" replied Momo quickly with a smile.

"Why's that?" asked the naïve boy.

"Cause you'd beat all of us within seconds!" Kaminari burst out in laughter as did the majority of the class. Goku had to admit it was rather funny as and joined in. it went on like this for a while. The class just couldn't decide on what they wanted to do. In the end they decided they would discuss it later in the dorms.

The rest of the day rolled on by like usual. Goku and Jiro walked back to the dorms together talking about plans for the festival the entire time. They made their ways to their rooms to drop their bags off and get changed. Goku was finished first and made his way to Jiro's room where he knocked.

"Kyoka! You ready yet?" he asked, and the door unlocked right on cue. Jiro stepped out in a shirt and tracksuit bottoms while Goku himself wore a basic blue t-shirt and orange shorts. She looked as if she was trying to hide something.

"Yeah. Let's go already" she quickly said but Goku glanced behind her and into her room, something he hadn't actually seen the inside of before. Everyone else in the class had except him. At least he thought he hadn't seen it.

"Wow. Music fan huh?" he whistled. Jiro's room had music attire littered in it. There was a trio of guitars, an electric keyboard and a rather impressive drum kit to name a few. She also had CDs galore.

"Don't look! It's rude to look in a girl's room without permission!" squealed Jiro in embarrassment. Goku looked at her in confusion.

"Is it? Don't think I've heard that one before. I should ask Bulma if she has" he determined with the blue-haired girl's name receiving disdain from Jiro. A rivalry had brewed between the two girls with the oblivious Goku in the middle. He shrugged and closed the door, the pair making their way downstairs where the rest of the class were. Deku was frantically searching for something on his phone which caught the attention of both Uraraka and Goku.

"Uh Chaco? Is he okay?" asked a worried Goku. Chaco had no words to describe what was happening.

"I think he's looking for something about All Might. That's my only guess honestly" she admitted when all of a sudden Deku flinched back in surprise. He had clicked on a video of sorts with a posh voice speaking almost instantly.

"Greetings my dear viewers. It is I Gentle Criminal, here to notify of my grandest caper yet. While I drink my delicious cup of tea all I can say that this scheme of mine will launch me into true fame. Full details coming soon."

The man appeared to be in his early thirties with a refined appearance. He had a slicked-back hairdo with a curl at the front and sported a handlebar moustache along with a well-kept, medium-sized beard. He also had thick black lines around his eyes that resembled eyeliner. His clothes were quite extravagant, featuring a dark purple jacket with enlarged collars and coattails, a pair of loose, pinstriped trousers and two belts. He also wore a pair of cuffs and a woolly scarf.

"Tea? Not gonna lie that's lost me" Goku came out with earning a look from both Deku and Uraraka.

"Tea confused you? Not the entire video?" asked Uraraka before smiling in amusement. Goku nervously laughed before a voice sounded in his ear.

"Enjoying yourself?"

Goku's body tensed up and he clenched his fists, not knowing if it was in anger or fear. He turned his head slightly and saw Raditz smirking wickedly at him. As per usual, only Goku could see him.

"So this is your new thing then? Torment me with some sort of invisibility device?" Goku growled.

"Maybe. Though I should warn you that while no one else can see me, I am still very much able to harm each and every one of them. The pain I'll cause you will be worse than anything you've ever experienced. Except maybe one single thing." Raditz approached Goku and circled him like a predator circling its prey.

"What are you going on about?" asked a slightly confused Goku. Raditz tapped the side of his forehead with his right index finger, smiled evilly and then pressed a button on his earpiece. Then as soon as he had arrived, he clicked another button on his right arm guard and vanished. Invisibility cloak or some sort of teleportation device, Goku didn't know and honestly he didn't care for something else caught his attention instantly. He pulled out his phone.

He had just received a message from an unknown number. A message that read:

"All the pain you felt on that day. Don't tell me you've forgotten."

Goku's eyes widened in shock and then turned to sadness with tears brimming in them. Under the message was a date he knew all too well. One he had forgotten about in all the commotion of the last couple of days.

The visible change was noticed by Jiro, Deku and Uraraka instantly.

"Goku what's wrong?" asked Jiro as Goku pocketed his phone. He turned to face the three of them and, with sadness in his eyes and voice, asked another question.

"When is the school festival again?" The trio looked at each other.

"Um October twelfth. A few days from now. Why has something happened?" asked Jiro.

"It's the day my parents were murdered in front of me."

Author's Note

And thus the reason for Goku's delay to the School Festival has been revealed. A delay that will pit him against three of the strangest foes yet (they seem obsessed with a certain something.)

Anyway I reckon only about 2-3 more chapters until Season 4 ends and then Heroes Rising which will be the climactic finale of My Hero Academia: Nimbus.

And yes this was a short chapter. Sorry bout that but they will be longer.

Till next time,

Ethan
