POV Sara Ellis

Sara Ellis would be the first to admit that she did not like her current look but it allowed her to go in public to places she would not have been able to gain access to otherwise in order to help Eliot and the others clear her name. While she knew the bare bones of the plan, they were keeping her away from a lot of the details so that way she had plausible deniability when she got her life back, and she would get her life back, even if she did it herself.

Her current look that she decided she hated so much had her look like a punk rocker wannabe. She would have complained more but she seemed to fit right in at the club that she was at. She could see Halbridge in the corner, talking business with a few of his associates, obviously using the noise to cover what he was talking about. It was the perfect place to have a meeting like this if they had not already known it was going to occur.

She edged closer to the table, carrying a tray of drinks in her hand, planning to distribute them to the table. She knew it was a risk but honestly did not think that anyone would recognize her with her neon pink hair, fake nose piercing, and all the other gaudy jewelry that was supposed to make people not study her face while she was here. She gave everyone their drink and was able to drop a small bug into the table menu, knowing they would likely think that it was a bit of straw wrapper.

She left as soon as she arrived at the table, making sure not to study the faces of those that were there, knowing that she was not expected to do so as a waitress at a bar. She made sure to see to quite a few other tables, as it would look odd if she left right after her part of the job was done. She was finally done her shift and left through the employee entrance, heading straight to the van that was parked in the alley.

She paused for a moment as if studying the van in order to make sure it was the van that she want to go into and not some other van. The last thing that she wanted to do was go into an FBI van and blow her cover before it was safe to do so. Before she could think on it too long, Hardison pulled the door open to the van, and she climbed gratefully into the van, immediately pulling off the platform boots. While she liked high heels, these were most definitely not her style, and pinched much more than she thought they would.

Once she seemed to be as comfortable as she would get in this ensemble, Hardison spoke, "the bug seems to be working fairly well, though we are missing a few worlds due to the noise but I have a program working on that in case it is needed. With this info, we should be able to nail Sophie's roles and be one step closer to getting you home."

"I will be so glad when I can find somewhere permanent to live. Not that the hotels we have been in aren't nice but they are not home. Oh god, I will need to find a new place." She said, realizing how much she would have to do in the near future.

"Don't worry, we have something in the works for that. For now, relax, and we will be back at the hotel before you know it. Here, why don't you through this one instead." Hardison handed her a bag of jeans and a tshirt and then noticeably turned away. She immediately pulled on the new outfit, especially appreciating the fuzzy socks. She settled into a long evening of listening to a crooked businessman, sharing gummy frogs and orange soda with Harison in the meanwhile.

Peter Burke POV

Crime scene photos could at times be interesting but at the same time, they could be boring, especially if you can not find anything special about them the first five times that you look through them. They must have been through the photos ten times, and there was no concrete evidence on if Sara Ellis had survived or met her demise.

He wanted to say she was alive so that they would not have to go to her funeral tomorrow and see all the sad mourners but knew they could not overturn the death ruling without concrete proof. Nothing seemed to be missing from her home according to some family members, at least that had been recovered. It was always sad to look at the remains of a person's life, and see the rubel that remained as if that was all the person was.

There were definite traces of blood and DNA that were found throughout the house but they were unsure if it was old or new and testing would need to be done to try and make a guess at the age. The problem was that the labs were backed up and they would be lucky if they had it in a week or two, especially if they could not prove if she was murdered or if it was just a fatal accident.

Whoever pulled this off was clever. That made the suspect list even smaller as most petty criminals could not have pulled something off like this so cleanly. They would have left some vital evidence behind that would have led to their capture. At this moment, they could not even prove that someone had been in the house near the expected time of death. It was just tragic all around.

After finding a whole lot of nothing in the photos, the team split up to make a few more phone calls, hopefully ruffling a few more feathers. He put out a few fellers and was surprised by the fact that Halbridge seemed to be at some sort of punk rock club. He wondered if that was something that he was into or if it was some kind of cover. Either way, he had been there for a while, so the only thing to do was go down them and ruffle some feathers, in order to see what dropped out.

AN: Hey guys! Here are the promised new chapters. I made some minor edits to the previous chapters as I read to gather some info in order to write this chapter. I have been doing a lot of writing recently, just sadly not for this story. If anyone is interested in reading my original novel, let me know as I am thinking of posting it on Wattpad and could use some motivation to finish editing (the first book is done with editing and I wanted to finish editing the second before posting to make sure there were no continuity issues. Then I can work on book three in the piece). Thanks for reading and let me know what you think. I hope to have more up soon~Jenn008
