July 4th
She woke to the yelps and screams of the pups' in the other room. She sighed. She hated hurting others of her kind. She walked into the room. "Morning, sunshine." Alpha barked. "Why was he being nicer to her?" She thought. "Hey..." Alpha walked up to her. "Take these dogs on a walk" her eyes widened with fear. "What are you going to do to them?" Alpha chuckled, "Oh nothing. They just need to be taught around the place." Her ears drooped. "Okay..." she walked out to where the dogs were and looked at them. They were bruised and bloody. She barked, "Follow me. I'm showing you around." The Dalmatian followed. The German Shepard refused to move. Alpha smirked, walking to the control panel. Chase fell in pain as the shock grew stronger each second. He barked, "I'll come!" And it had stopped. She watched as Chase got up in pain and followed. She walked out of the hiding place and to the dirt road. She shook her head. "Alpha is a bad dog." She ran back into the hiding place, not checking if the dogs were following, and leaped at Alpha. Alpha growled, knocking her off of him. Spike pinned her. "You hurt helpless dogs! Your a bad dog!" Alpha stood over her. "Oh, I'm the bad dog." He growled. She tried squirming free from Spike, but Alpha pinned her. She get ready for the pain. For her death. For everything to stop in her body. She closed her eyes. Suddenly, she felt the weight of alpha escape her body. She heard yelping and quickly opened her eyes. She stood up frantically. Spike and Spine we're getting attacked by the shepherd. Alpha was getting attacked by the Dalmatian, or really the Dalmatian was getting attacked by Alpha. He was pinned under Alpha, and she ran at Alpha. She knocked him off his paws, sending him to the ground. The Dalmatian quickly got up and helped her pin him. Alpha was pinned. Metal banged in the room, blood staining the floor. Alpha kicked Marshall off him and grabbed her by the scruff. She struggled to get free. She kicked, but there was no escape. "Just like this place." She thought. Alpha carried her to a roof of a building. Alpha didn't let go of her, just stood there with her scruff in his jaws. The wind roared. Spine and Spike ran after Chase and Marshall as they were running onto the roof. Spike and Spine leaped at Chase, but the overshot and fell over the edge. Chase and Marshall looked over the edge. Alpha put down her on the ledge. They looked at Alpha who spoke. "You monsters. I thought you were dogs that save others, but you just care about your life." the wind bristled their fur. He picked her up back in his jaws. This was it. The pain she lived through. The lives she saved. The life that had become of her. It was all gone. All done for. She was ready. For the pain. The shock that burned through her fur. The right way to do things was all gone. Fireworks bombed in the dark background. The stars shown above. She already felt weightless. She waited for gravity to take its place. Suddenly, she was launched out of Alpha's mouth. She waited a minute. Then two minutes, but nothing came. No hard concrete ground. No death. She opened her eyes. She was on the roof. The German Shepard helping her up. "I'm fine!" She growled. Chase nodded and ran down the stairs frantically. She got up. She chased after the shepherd. She made it outside to see the shepherd sitting on the ground sadly. She heard sirens in the background, a helicopter as well. She ran over to the German Shepard. There lay, Alpha and Marshall. She sat by Marshall. He was still breathing, his heart beating faintly. She perked up and ran down to the hiding place without saying anything. She opened a drawer and pulled out a first aid kit. She blew the sit off of it. She ran back out side and tried to heal the Dalmatian's wounds. Chase looked up at her, his eyes red from tears. "Why'd you betray us?" She didn't reply, only tried helping Dalmatian. She wrapped his leg with a bandage. A helicopter landed, but she didn't care to look. She wrapped the last wound with a bandage on the Dalmatian. She looked up, there to be four more pups and a human. They stood there, shocked at what they were seeing. "He'll live. Lucky I was here." She looked at Alpha. He was lying there, limp. She sat down next to him. She heard pawsteps and a gasp. Beta ran up to Alpha. "W-what?" She dropped her ears. Beta hugged her. "It'll be alright. You have me." She smiled. She heard a grunt and turned around. Marshall was awake. His bright blue eyes shined while the fireworks bombed in the background. "Y-you saved me." She managed to say. "That's what I do." Marshall barked back, then coughed. They smiled, their tails wagged.
