Ok, so this takes place before the other drabbles, and before Cleo would have become a sand shifter. She's still a full mummy in this story. (read previous drabbles notes to get more context)

This is also sort of a "speed run fic", so it's not real fleshed out or detailed XD

Anyways, enjoy! :D

Resus tapped his foot angrily on the sand, scowling at Luke, who was guiltily sitting in the sand, avoiding eye contact and tracing patterns in the sand.

The angry Negative raised a brow; "Now, what did Efa tell us?"

"Don't touch the time stone." Luke muttered.

"And what did you do?"

"Accidently knocked it off the shelf…"

"Now, where are we?!"

"1800 BC Egypt…"

"LUKE!" Resus growled and threw his hands in the air.

"I didn't mean to! I tripped!" The young werewolf snapped back.

Resus and Luke were now stuck in ancient Egypt, and through an unfortunate series of events, lost the time stone to a royal shaman. So now they had to get it back, which wouldn't have been so hard, if not for the fact that the stone was in the pharos temple!

Which is now why Luke was dressed in the armor of the royal guards. Which was a dark blue tunic and a wooden jackal mask, which he wore over top his normal clothing. He was trying to blend in so that he could sneak into the temple, though being younger and shorter than the other guards made that hard. So even with the armor he tried to stay out of sight, and it worked….until now.

Luke made his way through the royal garden, which seemed empty. He was about ready to make a run for the entrance when he was kicked in the side. Hard. He stumbled back into the garden wall, a sharp object pointed at his throat. He looked up and became rather speechless.

It was a girl his age…a very pretty girl. Her skin was dark with a golden shine, and her eyes were sky blue with eyeshadow to match. Her hair was a warm black, and went a little past her shoulders. Most ancient Egyptians are depicted with straight hair, but she had perfect beach waves. She wore a white dress with a dark blue belt, a golden necklace, a blue pendent, and a simple golden headpiece. (like what wonder woman has, but Egyptian)

"Who are you?" She asked with a stern tone, further pointing the spear towards him, which was already way too close.

"I, uhhh…" He stumbled over his words, too flustered to talk. Something about being threatened made her seem even prettier.

"You can't be a guard, you're much too young." She raised a brow. "So, I'll ask again, who are you?"

"I, uh… I was sent by Anubis to…uh, to protect the royal family. There is, uh, very dangerous artifact nearby that I must retrieve!" Luke was really hoping all that time listening to Cleo was going to pay off.

The girl raised a brow, clearly not believing him.

"Well, if you are an agent of Anubis, you must have magical powers. Prove it." She moved the spear away from him a bit, giving him room to properly stand up. He didn't really want to do this, but it was the only way. He was getting better at his partial transformations, so this wouldn't be too hard.

He concentrated hard on his left hand, It quickly transformed into claws. Her eyes widened and she stepped back. "Perhaps you are telling the truth…"

"Princess, where are you?"

The two snapped their heads in the direction of the voice. Luke knew that voice instantly. It was Mr. Farr.

A large man in royal Egyptian attire walked out of the temple entrance.

"Baba!" The girl ran over to him and gave the man a big hug.

"There you are, Cleo." Niles hugged the girl back.

Luke looked back and forth between the girl and Mr Farr, the gears in his head turning as his eyes widened.

That girl was Cleo.

"No, no, no, no, no, no-" His face went beet red under his mask, and gripped the sides of his head in silent panic. "I did not just! … swoon over Cleo!" He stood there in a silent panic until a voice pulled him back to reality.

"Uh, are you alright?" Cleo asked, raising a brow in confusion.

"I, Uh." He snapped his attention back to her, the butterfly feeling swarming him again.

"Yes, I was…merely…waiting for you to be done talking with your father." The young werewolf tried to sound more official, he was pretending to be sent by a god after all.

Mr Farr finally saw Luke, giving him a warm smile. "Who's you're new friend?" Niles smiled.

"This boy claims he works for Anubis." The princess stated, giving the boy a suspicious glare.

"Oh, is it my time to die?" The pharaoh asked nonchalantly.

"What? No! I just came to return a magical stone that belongs to him." Luke quickly stated.

Cleo still didn't seem to fully believe him, giving him a suspicious glare from her fathers side.

"The stone was stolen…by…minions of Set. And though the mess it accidently ended up in the hands of your Shaman." The werewolf was really hoping he remembered what Cleo taught him.

The pharaoh chuckled and nodded "I understand, Set does like stirring things up."

Luke breathed in a quiet sigh of relief, even though Cleo raised a brow at him.

"I shall take you to our shaman then, he should be in his study. It's underground." Niles smiled.

Cleo suddenly stepped in-between her father and the so called "agent of Anubis."

"No, I'll take him to Akeem." She smiled wildly at her dad. "You have far too much to do."

Luke grimaced; "No, no! You're already giving me a crisis! Take your cute face somewhere else!"

He looked at her surprised for a moment before smiling again. "Alright princess, if you insist."

"Nooooooo." The boy mentally screeched. Not only was him being close to his future friend threaten to cause time traveling chaos, it was also giving him anxiety. She was far too pretty, and it made his stomach hurt.

The Pharaoh left the two of them and headed inside.

She turned back to Luke, her expression going serious. "Alright, what does this magical stone look like?"

"Oh, uh. It looks like a round, flat grey rock. It has a hour glass etched into each of its sides, like a coin. "I see, alright, follow me." She quickly picked her spear off the ground, giving him a glare over his shoulder. Clearly implying that if he did anything suspicious, he'd get stabbed. He quietly gulped, being threatened by a pretty girl was such a bag of mixed emotions.

Luke left the temple with the stone, Cleo watching him leave from the stone steps. She seemed a bit curious, confused by today's events. Nile stood beside her, happily waving as the strange kid left. The royal shaman who had handed over the stone seemed rather untrustworthy, but Luke had to let it go. He had to get home, It was already evening. The sky was dark blue, pink on the horizon, the sun no longer visible. He quickly ran to where he last left Resus, his poor friend was likely sun burnt by now.

As it turned out, the stone was a fake. Likely made by the shaman. Luke would have been angry, but with all the tricks Otto has pulled on the town, he was a bit numb to double crossing at this point. He quickly made his way back to the temple, it was dark now, but the area was well luminated by candles.

Cleo was standing on a balcony overlooking the garden, she looked at the front gates and raised a brow. That strange boy was back. Just then she felt a hand on her back, it pushed her forward.

Luke snapped his attention towards a scream, he looked up just in time to see Cleo fall over a balcony railing. She managed to grab the ledge, but she started to slip, and then fall. Before Luke knew what he was doing, he was catching her. It wasn't a good catch by any means, and he nearly dropped her, but at least he wasn't dead on the ground….Oh no.

Luke quickly balanced himself, adjusting his hold on her to be a bit less uncomfortable. She looked at him wide eyed.

"Well, I suppose you were telling the truth about protecting the royal family." She exhaled, clearly shaken up. "Thank you for saving my life."

And with the few words, his mind halted. He was swimming in panic as his mind flooded with ideas. Was she supposed to have died like this? Did he just ruin the future? Was she going to still be at scream street when he went back? Did he just lose his best friend?

"What did I just do!?...and stop being so pretty!"

He was rather harshly pulled back to realty when he realized he was shaking like a leaf. His heartbeat was in his ears, and his pulse was up. His vision was started to tint red.

He dropped her and ran out of the temple garden, ignoring her confused yelling. He ran off towards a large rock formation in the dessert. Then his vision went red, and his mind went.

He woke up the next morning laying on top of said rock formation. He looked back at the temple in the distance and looked worried, remembering what had happened.

"Ok, so. Stress can also make me transform. Noted."

It's at this point of the story that I'm not sure what happens. Somehow or other they get the real time stone and go back.

With a flash of blinding light, Luke and Resus found themselves back in the emporium. Efa's annoyed screeching filled their ears, she snatched the time stone from their hands.

"I TOLD YOU TWO TO BE CAREFUL!" she screeched at them, getting rather ticked off at the number of times things like this were happening.

Luke and Resus's concern wasn't on Efa though, Luke looked at the red head frantically; "Where's Cleo?!"

She raised a brow; "Cleo?!"

Their hearts dropped. Luke felt sick; "Did I….Did I just erase our friend?"

Just then the bat at the door screeched as someone entered, they all snapped their gaze to see a certain familiar face walk in. "Uh, what I miss?" Cleo asked, raising a brow as she smiled, confused by the commotion.

Before she knew it she was being bear hugged, or should I say, wolf hugged by Luke, and then Resus.

"Guys, you're squishing me." She fake coughed to prove her point.

The two pulled away, Luke awkwardly chuckling as he did.

"We're just so happy to see your ok!" Luke smiling widely.

"Why wouldn't I be?" her confusion grew.

"Well, we-" Resus was cut off as the werewolf slapped a hand over his mouth.

"No reason..." Luke lied; rather poorly might I add.

She raised a brow and smirked at him. "I know you're lying, but you know what, I think I'll let you have it today." She patted their shoulders and walked away.

Luke watched her walk away. He had hoped the fuzzy feeling that past Cleo gave him, would go away once he got back to the present. That he would be reminded that she was essentially a corpse.

He frowned.

It didn't.
