Smiles; This is me calm! How long has those stories been up? Is it asking too much for just one person or two to leave a comment or review one them?
Jester; I know it's upsetting but I don't think putting them on hiatus will help.

Jester; Well if you all are wonder Smiles is upset that our fics Blazing fist and All the Hollow hasn't received any kind of comment it quite a while. Ok they haven received comments since chapters seven and eight. And now they're on ten and twelve quite a big gap. But still thank you all for liking the stories. So lets see the reviews. Attackme sorry friend we told our schedule so many times we're surprised you didn't see it. We rotate with fics get an update each month. Next month is Fairly oddparents fics, followed by our Star Vs and Edd n Eddy fics. Then we update Eternal in its group you see today.

Random corporal's View
Originally I was freaking out about the Two vigilantly Metas working with us to help the Elves and the Colored Mercs. But orders are orders and the President along with the other cabinet of six presidents gave the order. From the way the Elves have acted they're on edge more then we are. Unlike the Brotherhood we Rangers Gears don't carry power armor around. We wear multi plated heavy or mega type body armor variations. Looking over the action slider to my rifle we have a few minutes before we hit the first town. Rubbing my neck the lead driver calls over the radio.
Leader driver says "Watch it people we've got frost on the roads and the villages are coming into sight. All gunners man your mounted units and be ready. Scan every ally and roof line no surprises." Gulping I look over the road as the ice and mud gets sent up and landing elsewhere as we push on. The guy behind me says "Fuck the villages they're on fire." Looking up I see several places were in fact on fire.
Gripping my rifle I now see what war is like. And I see why King Finn wanted to protect people from it. The OC radios "All teams be ready we're pushing into the first village. Once we've pushed the Unics back we'll head straight for the academy. Once properly group we'll push to retake both villages. Stay tight and don't get separated."
As we round a street into the village the lead APC's mounted gunner opens fire on a roof. See the black armored body drop limp against the roofs edge. It's clear the Unics know we're here. After killing two more Unics on separate roofs the lead APC gets hit. Seeing the APCs engine spit flames everyone in it gets out and jumps clear. The gunner in our APC gives covering fire as the Soldiers and Medic mercs fall back behind us. But another blast from an energy rocket launcher destroys the lead APC and its gunner. OC radios, "Car two cut through the side alley move!" The driver turns the gearshift to floor the gas pedal. As more bolts ping off the armor the glass for my window begins to crack from the hits too. As the driver pushes through the alley more bolts hitting metal behind us go off. Before long I'm gripping my rifle tightly wonder what they'll throw at us next.
The driver stops as an odd disk like vehicle cuts us off into the middle of the street over. Its sides open to reveal several blaster vulcans aimed at us. Driver shouts, "Shit!" Before I could fully duck the jeeps hoods explodes off the front end and I'm clinching my ass as gravity losses its meaning. Jerking from one side of my seat to the other heated glass batters my faces as our jeeps rolls. Coming to a stop I want to puke but a groan and cough makes me turn my head. Hanging from my seat I see the gunner clinching her arm. The mangled remains of her arm that is. Her shoulder is bleeding with a piece of bone from her bicep sticking out. And her hand is nothing more then a stump. Grasping my seatbelt I unlatch myself to fall to my shoulders. Rolling I look for my rifle but can't find it. The gunner moans, "Please help it hurts." I nod to crawl to her telling her "I got you sister we're not dying in some shitting metal box."
Reach her I pull her to the crumpled but hanging passenger door. Kicking it out of the way I quickly check our flanks. Seeing the coast is clear I look down the street the weird disk thing is rumbling after the rest of the convey. I say "We need to meet back up with the rest of the convey. That thing going to cause trouble so we need to move."
Pulling her out and onto her feel I help her into the building closets to us. Closing the door I push some furniture in the way to look over her arm. Doing as much first aid as boot camp taught me the gunner curses saying "Fuck at least eat me out if you're going to be this rough on the first date?" I groan feeling a little blood come from my ear as well as a mild ring. I say "I'd love to but I'd like us to be in bed with a nice meal inside of us first." After twenty minutes she is ok the blood has kind of stopped thanks to the sealing foam. But she's still in pain and with only one arm she'll have to use a pistol the whole trip. Gunner says, "Leave me corporal I'll just slow you down."
I shake my head to say, "No way Rangers don't leave anyone behind. Besides we still have a job to do and I'd like us both to see inside that fancy magic school. Plus like I said you owe me a date after saving your ass." The gunner smirks at me as she gets to her feet. Pulling her side arm I do the same. Leaving out the back of the building an explosion turns our attention to where the convey should be. I ask "Gunner how many grenades are you carrying?" Gunner answers "Four blasting frags and two smokes." I ask if she had any flash bangs and she said no. Only the explosive runners or engineers carrier the whole explosive set. Nodding we jog from cover to cover keeping an eye out for enemy placements. Heading for the sounds of fighting we find the odd vehicle attacking the remains of the convey. I tap the gunner saying, "Giving me the two smoke they need cover." Passing me both the gas grenades I pull their pins as the Gunner radios the NCO in the vehicle.
NCO says "Everyone rally on me we have to abandon the jeeps. Move now!" Helping the Gunner stand back up we run through the blasting fire of the enemy vehicle. With smoke filling its line of sight its fire becomes very random. Running down an alley the explosions of the conveys vehicles thump behind us. The larger of the two Meta vigilantes uses his axe to absorb the blast from the canons. To then return the blast to smash the entrance into the alley. NCO nods to me and the gunner saying, "Good work you two. I take it your driver and wingman didn't make it." I nod as the NCO gets on the radio asking for any air support in the area.
Sky-fire answers, "Negative Lieutenant enemy has us engaged and trying to box us in. We've however seeing allied additional support to your west but they are facing heavy resistance from the enemy. Suggest you drive it to their position fast." NCO answers "Roger that Sky-fire however we must advice we lost our transport to new enemy armor. And must proceed on foot."
Sky-fire answers "Understood Lieutenant we'll aid you when we've cleared the skies. We'll inform allied team of your status as well Sky-fire out." As we start to move down the alley towards the west a shotgun wielding private asks, "Sir did Eyes-up just tell us we're fucked?" Lieutenant answers, "In a nutshell they did but they're still watching which is good. Everyone duck!"
The energy blasts ripples from over our heads crumbling the buildings siding over us. As we move from the alley into a debris covered street the enemy heavy vehicle is strafing the area with attacks. Lieutenant says "Hold fire don't engage that goes for you Metas as well. We don't want to lose you two to these bastards with a lucky hit. Stay low and behind it. So long as it doesn't see use before it attacks we'll be ok." As we move through the debris of the buildings the enemy vehicle continues to blast and move forward. However it stops and fires several mortar rounds behind it. Ducking into a car for cover the blasts hits and the screams that follow makes me look into the street. One of the privates is pinned her legs smashed under a power line.
The enemy armor rolls until it's facing us two ports open to have twin turrets open fire at us. The private is killed and the NCO yells for someone to pop smoke again. But to our shock three Unics jump from a hatch to the armor and move into attacking positions. Seeing this the Heavy merc opens fire forcing the three into cover. But he too has to hurry and take cover as the turrets aim for him. Lieutenant shouts as the smoke covers the area, "Now move to the opposite side of the street into that open shop go now!"
Doing as orders I race from cover but as I do my foot kicks something. Looking down I see its a energy carbine. Taking up the weapon I crawl prone for a little till I see the Sniper merc laying down addition fire with two shotgun corporals. Standing I rush behind them into the shop. NCO says "Quickly move through and out the back. Engineer lay two claymores behind us and hurry to meet us." Rushing through the piles of torn clothes and shoes the enemy starts to fire into the storefront. Getting out the back the large merc and Meta pushes a waste container in front of the door. NCO says, "That won't hold them for long lets keep moving. We're almost half way through the village. And our support team will no doubt need us if we're facing this kind of enemy resistance."
As we round the back alley into the street several Unics open fire from across the street. A private with a carbine says "Sir hostiles moving in from across our position." One of the specialist elves orders, "Push them back, wait that flare is from our rendezvous team. Push on an we'll be able to meet them." Doing as ordered I open fire along with everyone else. After a small firefight we rush forward into the fuel depot. However as we round into the depot pumps more Unics are in cover firing upon us. Taking cover against the hood of a burnt car I open fire the Soldier merc laughing as he fires several rockets into the depot. Causing a hug fireball to erupt from a pumping station being hit.
The Gunner that I helped throws a grenade that she was holding. As it goes off a Unic is kills its arm flying one way while its body twisted an bleeding tumbles another. Clearing the depots pump fast another flare goes up the specialist elf saying "Over there at that small dinner." Rushing across the two-lane road we find the battered and blaster bolt worn dinner. Inside are the rest of the Mercs and two specialist elves that had faster vehicles then our convey did. They had pushed ahead faster then us to provide a distraction for our advance. Little that did I guess.
The NCO asks "Glad to see you again specialists and glad to see you have managed to get back up." The older of the two specialists says, "This is captain Raptor he's been charge by the empress to help us push for the academy. However one our way here we captured a Unic leader and well lets just say before we knew if he sent a signal of our location." The Lutienant asks how bad is our situation now? Captain Raptor answers "We have the asshole tied up in the meat locker is pretty much blast proof for now. But we have to hold this position due to enemy now converging on us. Thanks to your help their scouts just got killed. But who knows what they'll send to stop us from taking the prisoner with us to the academy." The NCO asks if they had any supplies and the specialist nods saying, "Your air team was able to make a short pass and drop a supply crate. We don't know what's in it but it sounded pretty heavy."
The NCO says "Everyone take positions and cover every point. You three head up onto the roof and check the drop crate." I turn to see the gunner being treated by an elf medic. The gunner nods to me as the elf uses magic on her wounds. Feeling a tap the Sniper merc signals me to move to the roof. Climbing the ladder the Sniper merc takes up overlook as I help a private open the crate. With the lid popping open I gasp seeing the mounted energy gatling gun. The private helps me move the gun and sets up the tripod. Sliding in the securing pins to the tripod I then open the energy compartment and place in the power cells. Priming the trigger Sniper merc radios "Contact to the south we have Unics using smoke to cover their advance." The private taps me to say, "Give me your rifle and you take hold of this."
Switching places with him I gulp not use to using such a large weapon. As the smoke piles into the open area just across from us I start to rotate the guns barrels. The NCO says "Anyone with thermal optics call out enemy positions as you see them. All teams we have three dozen enemies converging on our south flank take them down fast." Seeing the first three Unics spread from the smoke I lay down fire. The Sniper Merc saying "Unics are on the roof of the food place across from us. Another jeep of Unics are pulling in behind the houses across from the pumping station." Seeing the jeep I turn slightly laying fire into the jeep to riddle it with heated holes. The Unics scrambling to cover with little success as the two other riflemen besides me pick them off. Seeing more pull into cover in front of us I continue to fire as do everyone on the ground floor as targets try to advance.
To my shock however someone radios, "We've got enemies coming at us from the north side now. They have rocket launchers sir." The NCO says "Acknowledged roof team we need two riflemen to cover our north flank now." The private from before switches with me and I head across the roof avoiding the holes as a run. Soon the other riflemen with her large caliber energy rifle joining me in the spring. As more smoke appears covering the view I look down the rifles barrel seeing the body temp of the Unics. Opening fire I take only five shots before the private shouts "Enemy has breach our positions they're on the roof." Ducking prone several Unics had climbed over the side of the roof and are using the dinners vent hatch and exposed system for cover.
Squeezing into the roofs cover I pull my pistol and provide cover fire for the rifle woman behind me. Peaking from the cover I feel the heat of something hot rattle my scalp as a yelp leaves my lips. Feeling a hand the rifle woman says "It's ok the bolt grazed your head the helmet saved your ass. Sir we have the roof secured enemy is pulling back." The NCO says "Everyone check you gear they're no doubt regrouping for another push. Captain Raptor is the prisoner still secured?" Captain Raptor answers, "Still cursing at me so yes he's fine even with his temporary cell having some new view holes." The lieutenant says, "All teams we have enemy heavy armor heading our way." Seeing two of those disk armored vehicles coming from the north the sight of them is cut short when a car closest to us explodes. The NCO shouts "Roof team get down here now!"
Scrambling back down the hatch more explosions ripple around the dinner. Destroying a standing cement flower garden and a few parked cars. The NCO says, "Glad to see you're all ok but now we have a problem. We have a mobile mortar team shelling our positions. We need a small squad to get over there and take that mortar." A group of elves along with the smaller of the two Metas right away volunteer. Watching them with my rifle I help keep them covered as they advanced back into the pumping station. Seeing the enemy armor blasts at us makes me duck for cover. The dinner rattles and pieces of the ceiling gives way make us lose a portion of the building. To our NCO's delight the next minute was in our favor. The Meta says, "Watch the fire works boys and girls." To everyone delight the first enemy armor is destroyed in a double mortar shelling. Soon after the other enemy armor tries to do a pass at their position but a quick shelling takes it out.
The NCO says, "Good work team get back over here fast with out new offensive." The radios signal saying "Ground teams this is Sky-fire ready to private air to surface fire on your go." The NCO says "Good to hear Sky-fire we need you to..." To my horror the small of Mercs shout "Incoming rockets!" A cascade of explosions shakes the dinner collapsing or destroying our north flank. Shaking off the buzzing in my ears an elf helps me sit up will move pieces of wood off me. Checking me over he says I'm not injured. Sky-fire says "Lieutenant are you still there?" The NCO says, "Roger Sky-fire we're still here covered in debris and bruises but still here. But our position is compromised. Away team help Sky-fire by marking target areas with the mortar while we fall back. We'll be taking up our new position in the eatery to our south. Soldier Merc take a few with you and kill any enemies still holding position there."
The Merc quickly picks his team along with the Scout Merc. As the group of six climb through a window Captain Raptor has four elves secure the prisoner. Providing forward cover I watch for enemies trying to stop us or moving to the Mercs advanced team. As heavy explosions shake the ground behind us I gulp at the sheer craziness of this all. With everyone split into four groups of twelve we advance. My team and another advancing before the main group with the prisoner. But even that doesn't stop the Unics from popping bolts at us. Returning fire with my pistol I keep moving even as one of the elves next to me loses half his face to a bolt. Getting to the eatery the NCO calls for us to help provide cover for their advance now. Climbing up to the roof I'm quickly handed another rifle along with another two riflemen elves aim at the housing buildings where some Unics are hiding.
Soon along with two others the smaller Meta comes quickly comes onto the roof with the mortar device. But the weird part was how she seamlessly came up through the roof and placed down the device. With two other elves coming up with shell canisters. And right away Sky-fire says "Ground team you have thirty plus Unics advancing on your positions from the west of your location. Advice you kill them as quickly as you can." Right away the Meta clocks in and the mortar rotates and clicks to the new angle. An elf slides in a shell and a second later it flies into the air. Seeing its impact Sky-fire says, "Good hit ground team confirming seven kills with the strike." Soon target after target gets picked off by the mortar shells.
Holding our position the Meta says "All teams be advised mortar is out of shells." Someone calls out "Contact to our north watch out!" As enemy fire rattles our positions we see that its three heavily protected Unics carrying mini gatling guns. Not as powerful as the Heavy Merc but big enough to make us keep our heads down. The NCO says "Anyone has eyes on any enemy with a rocket launcher. We can use it to take out those heavy footed bastards." Scanning the ground through a hole in the roofs siding I see back in the road a dead Unic with a rocket launcher. Tapping the rifle elf next to me I say, "I need you to cover me." Before he can ask I climb over the siding to slide down and land on an outdoor table. Scrambling into a roll I crawl through the grass I see the dead Unic. Standing up fast I push forward even as I have to hop with one leg. Grabbing hold of its armor neck I see I'm still not being targeted.
Pulling it into cover I gasp in gross horror as its stomach and leg are exposed and still gushing blood. Taking the launched from its back. I strip its of the shekel of ammo. Exhaling a few times I peek from my cover to see the heavy Unics taking waist high cover and exchanging fire with my allies. Rushing to as close as I can I flank them at an angle from behind. Chambering a new energy round I stand and fire. To the Unics shock they turn to spot me. Ducking back into cover I say "Sir fire now!" Soon everyone in the eatery fires on the Unics as they try to find me. Reloading I peek up again to see one still holding on. Aim right at its feet I fire in an instant. Seeing the Unic lose both its legs and lift off the ground briefly before slamming back into the side of a car. I exhale and spring back to my allies.
Captain Raptor says, "Our reinforcements are coming in but they say we have another batch of Unics pushing in from the north east." The NCO thanks me to say, "Teams listen up our allies will be here in a few minutes but those Unics that are heading our way won't let us get away. We need to take as many of them down before the reinforcements arrive." Nodding I quickly return to the roof to receive quick praise from the rifle elves as well as the Sniper merc. For the next five minutes it became a repeat of earlier as we defended our position from two waves of Unics. Captain Raptor says, "All teams convey Neptune is here. Make your way to the road behind the eatery fast. Roof team give us time to move the prisoner before you follow." Doing as ordered we lay down fire me using the last two rockets to destroy the bigger pieces of cover for the enemy. The Sniper Merc calls it and we quickly leave.
Circling past cars in our way behind the eatery we find the new convey. They have two fucking tanks with them too. Sky-fire radios, "Neptune convey have you meet up with ground team Actual?" The Lieutenant answers "Sky-fire we are secured with the convey and with the added bonus of precious enemy cargo. Repeat enemy cargo is secured and moving to group at the academy with Neptune convey." Sky-fire" Copy that ground team Actual good luck on your advance we're being asked to provide support at another location but have air dropped drone strike controls to the academy for when you arrive." The NCO copies thanking Sky-fire for the added support. Captain Raptor says, "All my elven brothers and sisters allies in our battle we press for the academy. We won't let these whores of war go unpunished for what they have done." As I finally collect my breath from all that has happened I can't believe I'm still breathing. War really isn't like they show in the movies it's a whole other monster.
