Sharon was looking at her pack running around, Steve had joined Skye and Maria after they had persuaded him. He was a little hesitant at first but now he was running around with them. He was still unsure on his legs and he wasn't as fast because of it, but he was still a puppy, a big puppy.
"Okay, it's time for a nap," Sharon declared walking over to the door.
"Aww," Skye whined but followed Sharon.
"Come on, Skye, we can snuggle together if you want," Maria said chuckling, Skye's ears perked up, well one of them perked more than the other, and Maria adored Skye's floppy ear. It was so cute in Maria's eyes.
Steve also followed. He didn't want to admit it, but he was tired. When the pack walked into the living room they saw that the cushions were laid out on the floor.
"Who did this?" Skye asked, she loved not having to sleep on the bare floor.
"I did, now come on," Sharon answered.
"Oh, and Steve, we will start your training to use the mind link tomorrow," Sharon said, turning her head to Steve who was even more unsteady on his legs on the cushions.
Steve nodded his small head, before giving up on walking further on the cushions and just laid down where he was.
Skye and Maria did end up tangled up together which just looked weird when they were in wolf form, Sharon laid down beside Steve.
They slept a few hours before joining May, Fitz, Simmons, and Bobbi for dinner.
Skye sat between Bobbi and Simmons.
"Mr. Rogers, how was your first change?" Simmons asked.
"Err, please call me Steve, like I asked everyone else to, and it went fine. I was glad I was warned about the mind link, it was weird, having four legs is also weird," Steve answered smiling at Simmons.
"Well Steve, that's good to hear," Simmons said.
"Yeah, Jemma has some issues with calling people by their name, sometimes she still calls Maria, Commander Hill," Fitz said, mimicking Simmons' voice.
"I do not, and I don't sound like that," Simmons argued, slapping Fitz on his arm.
"Yes you do," Fitz said back.
"Ignore them, when they get started, there is no stopping them," May told Steve.
Both Simmons and Fitz looked over at May with mock hurt on their faces.
"That is not true," they said at the same time, which led them to look at each other, Simmons narrowed her eyes at Fitz, who narrowed his back.
Bobbi groaned and hid her face in Skye's shoulder, Skye just laughed; she loved it when they went at it.
"I think it is a shame I can't be there for Steve's second shift," Skye said with a pout.
"You will be able to feel it when Sharon claims him, like everyone else, you will just feel it a little more," Maria said.
"Hmm, it just feels weird that I can't be there for when he gets claimed," Skye mumbled.
Bobbi slung her arm around her and pulled her closer.
"Only the Alpha, Beta, and Peggy, and of course the pup, is allowed at the claiming, so most of us haven't either and yes it feels wrong not to be there, mostly when it is someone who will join your own pack," Bobbi said, Skye sighed but nodded.
She still wanted to be there but knew she couldn't. For one, the rule, and two, she would be on the Bus.
It was the day for Skye, May, and Fitzsimmons to return to the Bus. Sharon and Maria had dragged Skye back to their room and had told the others that Skye would meet them on the Bus, Steve had gone to the gym very fast.
May and Fitzsimmons were in the lab on the Bus waiting for Coulson, Skye, and Ward.
"Simmons, Fitz, I want you two to keep an eye on Ward," May said, both of them nodded.
"Of course, Victoria asked us the same thing. She and Sharon have been speaking a lot about the issue Ward is becoming," Simmons said.
No one said any more as Ward walked up the ramp.
"Where is Skye?" were his first words to them.
"She's not here yet," Fitz answered, a little annoyed with the other man already, he couldn't even say 'Hi' before asking.
"Why isn't she here?" he asked.
"We don't know Agent Ward, there is still twenty minutes until we all have to be here, so she has time. She is probably saying goodbye to Agent Morse," May said, not wanting to deal with Ward. She hoped that Maria and Victoria could get rid of him somehow.
"Agent Coulson isn't here either," Fitz said.
Ward looked just as annoyed as the wolves felt, but he tried to hide it, they could still see it though, just then Bobbi and Skye walked up the ramp.
"Hi guys, Ward," Skye said, Ward clearly misjudged why Skye had only said his name, and it was clear that he didn't notice Skye's tone when she did say it.
Bobbi swung her arm around Skye, glaring at Ward.
"Did you two have fun?" Simmons asked Skye and Bobbi.
"Oh yeah, we did have a lot of fun," Bobbi said in a slightly sultry tone, Skye lightly elbowed Bobbi in her side.
Ward just left at that, stomping up the stairs.
"You think he got the hint?" Fitz asked.
"I hope so," Skye said, then she turned to Bobbi.
"Thanks for that," Skye said.
Bobbi smiled at Skye and pulled her into a proper hug, then leaned back a little while still holding Skye, like one would while holding a lover.
"What are soulmates for?" Bobbi asked with a grin, Skye rolled her eyes pushing Bobbi gently away.
"Tease," Skye said.
"Every day of the week," Bobbi said, still grinning.
"Ahem, you two are not alone," Ward's tight voice came from the cargo hold, and since the lab doors were open they had no trouble hearing him, he was in the process of setting the punching bag up, and he was in his workout clothes.
"Well I also have to get going, call me later?" Bobbi said, Skye nodded, they all said their goodbyes.
Coulson arrived twenty-five minutes later telling them they had a mission and gave May the coordinates.
Soon after Coulson called for a briefing, when everyone was there he said that they had been called to assist on a mission in Mexico, a person of interest in the sale of an 084 eight years prior. She was spotted in Los Mochis, and the ground team had asked for back up, and their team was chosen.
When they landed they met up with the team already there. Ward, May, and Coulson along with the ground team, which consisted of four people, were on the ground. Fitzsimmons and Skye stayed on the Bus, running communications. Skye also hacked into the city traffic cameras to help find the woman.
Skye found the woman entering a small store, not far from where May and one of the female agents from the other team were, she told them where their target was. May and the other agent were at the store in less than a minute, just as the woman exited the store.
The woman didn't get far before they caught her and brought her to the cage on the Bus. HQ gave the order to let them take her to the cage as the ground team was technically on another assignment.
After they had dropped the woman at the fridge, they went their way.
It was the next day that they got a lead on Ian Quinn, or a package for him, that would soon be on a train to Italy and they would be on that train.
