The next morning, her soulmates came in along with Peggy, Pepper, and Tony. It was the first time she had seen Tony since waking up. She smiled at him.
"Hi Tony," Skye said.
"Hey kid, how are you feeling?" Tony asked, standing beside her.
"Sore and tired," Skye answered.
"Do you need anything?" Tony asked concerned, Skye shook her head no.
"Skye, me, Maria, and Fury would like to talk to you later, about what happened," Peggy said.
"Okay," Skye said.
"How is everyone else?" Skye asked after a moment.
"I know that Nat, Mel, Clint, and Izzy are happy you are getting better. Izzy was talking about how her and Victoria would be very upset if you hadn't made it, since Avery had given her life to protect you and they weren't able to help," Bobbi said, running patterns on Skye's hand, Skye didn't know what to say to that, so she just nodded.
"Steve has destroyed seven punching bags already?" Maria said.
"Kara has been restless, you are one of the only ones who is always up to play with her, and Fitz has been working on the small pieces of metal that were recovered from your, um, stomach and intestines," Sharon said.
"Rick and Jonathan have just tried to stay out of the way, while Sam and Jemma have been keeping an eye on you," Bobbi said.
Again, Skye could only nod.
After almost an hour Tony, Pepper, Sharon, and Bobbi left, so Skye could talk with Peggy, Maria, and Fury, who had arrived ten minutes before and had been waiting outside the doors.
"Glad to see you are recovering," Fury said to Skye.
"Thanks," Skye said a little awkwardly.
"Alright, Skye, we want to hear what went down on the mission," Maria said.
"Okay," Skye said, she told them everything up until when she had entered the basement and the man she didn't know the name of had left.
"And then when Mike left, I tried following him, but I felt a sharp pinch and burning in my leg, that must have been Quinn shooting me, I turned around and he shot me again, then, then," Skye stopped looking confused and alarmed.
"Then what Skye?" Fury asked.
"I, I don't know, I, it isn't very clear," Skye said.
"Skye, look at me, you need to try and calm down," Maria said, when the machines began to beep faster.
After a minute Skye was calm again.
"Skye, close your eyes and think back, breath slowly and just let your mind follow the memory," Peggy said calmly.
Skye did what Peggy said, she was breathing slowly with her eyes closed, she then began talking again.
"Then, he pulled something out from his inner pocket, it was um, a weird looking gun and a syringe with some green stuff in it. He shot me again with that, it hurt more than anything that I have ever felt before, and then I was on the floor. I don't remember how but I was. He then injected the green stuff in my arm, went over to the wall, it opened, and he put the weird gun and syringe in it and closed it, then he left. I was alone, someone was saying something to me, and then I woke up here," Skye said,
Peggy gave Maria a look and she hurried out of the room, Skye looked after her.
"That was good Skye, thank you. I'll leave now and make sure we find Mike Peterson. From what you were saying, he is a prisoner, and also this Clairvoyant. This is the second time he has been mentioned in a situation like this." Fury said and left.
Jemma and Sam then came running in.
"Where did Maria go?" Skye asked Peggy, Peggy smiled down at Skye.
"Skye went to find Kara and Izzy to send them back to Quinn's mansion to find the gun and syringe. She will be back soon, but now we need to see if there are any traces in your blood so we can see what it has done," Peggy said, looking a little worried.
Simmons came over and took blood from Skye, also looking worried.
Maria came back with Sharon in tow; they both sat on either side of her on the bed and grabbed a hand each.
"Okay, someone talk to me, please," Skye said when no one said anything and only looked worried and sad.
"Sorry, we are just worried about the serum Quinn injected you with, and what it has done, doing, or will do," Maria said.
"I know, I am too, and I am also a little freaked out that I couldn't remember until now, but Fitzsimmons will figure it out, I am sure Tony would like to help," Skye said.
"I am sure he would. I will leave you three alone, but remember Skye needs to rest," Peggy said and walked over to the other end of the room where Sam and Simmons were standing, looking over some charts.
"They'll find what it is," Skye said suddenly, again nodding to herself, she was finally now understanding that it could be anything. Maria and Sharon didn't say anything, only moved closer to Skye and held her close.
The next day Izzy and Kara returned with the items from Quinn's mansion, they gave the gun to Fitz and Tony and the syringes to Sam, Bobbi, and Simmons.
Over the next few days both Sam and Simmons took more blood from Skye, and Fury had given them info on the GH serum, since all of the wolves already knew of it.
Skye still wasn't allowed to leave the bed, but she was feeling fine, and she kept saying that, but no one listened. She was getting tired of asking for help to go to the bathroom on the bed.
Simmons was checking on her one night, Skye had managed to talk Maria, Sharon, Pepper, and Tony to get some sleep in a proper bed.
"Um Simmons?" Skye said, Simmons looked up at her.
"I need to pee, but can I please use a real bathroom? It is just over there," Skye said pointing to the corner where there was a bathroom.
Simmons looked down at Skye with a painfully apologetic look on her face.
"Sorry Skye, your leg looks good, but your stomach is still healing," Simmons said.
"Please? I'll even say yes to you helping me get over there, even a wheelchair, anything, please?" Skye said looking at Simmons with pleading eyes.
Simmons sighed, and Skye knew she had won.
"Let me see if there is anyone outside first, I will feel more comfortable if there were two people to help you," Simmons said, and Skye eagerly nodded, Simmons walked out of the room, and Skye was just waiting.
Simmons came back shortly after with May following her, Simmons then put the IV in a portable stand and hooked the monitors that were monitoring her heart and pulse, and other things Skye wasn't sure of.
May and Simmons were on either side of her and helped her stand. Skye was unsure of putting pressure on her legs, and she was leaning heavily on both May and Simmons, but after forever, from Skye's point of view, they got there, May waited outside the door to be called back.
The way back to the bed was much longer and harder.
"Did you move the bed further away?" Skye asked when she finally was able to sit down.
"No, you have just not been moving much for a long time and you are injured," Simmons said, shaking her head.
"But I think we can remove some of the monitors," Simmons said.
"Does that mean I can actually get some real food?" Skye asked, she was so tired of cold soup and plain yogurt.
"Maybe, we'll see. We can do some x-rays and some other tests. You are healing faster, not just from being a wolf, but also the GH serum," Simmons said, and walked away. Skye thanked her, and Simmons waved her off.
May was still beside the bed, Skye looked at her.
"Have they learned something new?" Skye asked.
"Yes, the weird gun was meant to do damage, it fires special bullets that explode on impact into hundreds of small needle formed pieces. We still know nothing about what was in the syringe," May said, Skye could only nod.
"I still feel stupid going down there alone," Skye said, running a hand over her face.
"It was a little, yes, but if you hadn't, we wouldn't know that Mike was still alive," May said.
"And I wouldn't have gotten hurt, and worried everyone," Skye said.
May didn't say anything to that and Skye was happy about it.
Four days later Simmons and Sam reluctantly let Skye leave medical, in a wheelchair, but Skye was way too happy to complain.
Maria and Sharon were fussing over her, and every time she winced a little, they were at her side. Pepper and Bobbi weren't as bad, but they still fused over her. Skye wasn't used to that, so she got a little overwhelmed. Tony, on the other hand, seemed to understand that she would be fine with them just asking if 'she was okay or needed anything' from where they were standing, sitting, or laying. They didn't need to come running just because she bumped into the doorway when trying to wheel her way through it or moving from the wheelchair to the bed or couch.
Skye was being pushed by Bobbi into the living room on Tony and Peppers floor, the same one where she had met them the first time.
Maria, Peggy, Natasha, Victoria, May, Sharon, Tony, and Pepper were talking about something and it looked a little heated.
"Hey, what's up?" Skye asked, they all stopped talking and looked over at her and Bobbi, Maria and Sharon came over and helped her over to the couch.
Simmons and Sam had been helping her with physical therapy, and she was getting a lot better. Her leg was almost healed, she would only have a scare from the impact of the bullet, but her midsection was still sore. Simmons and Sam gave it another week until she could move around on her oven.
"Coulson called May to ask if she knew where you were transferred to. He went to the Hub, apparently the mission ended early, and he and Ward wanted to see you, but she wasn't there," Maria answered Skye.
"Uh, what did you say?" Skye asked.
"Nothing yet, luckily Mel was busy when he called, so he left a voicemail," Natasha said with a smirk, and May glared at her.
Skye knew what Natasha was implying and she really wanted to say something, but also knew it hurt to laugh, though she wouldn't forget about it either.
The talk then came back to what to say, in the end it was decided that Skye had been sent to the Triskelion, under the radar because of the circumstances regarding her recovery.
Coulson and Ward could see her in a weeks' time to give Skye more time to heal, and spend time with Tony, Pepper, and her soulmates.
They also needed to talk about when and if she should return to the Bus, but that would be after Coulson and Ward had seen her.
