Coulson had asked Ward to come up to his office after the others had left.
"Ward, you need to back off a little," Coulson told him.
"Sir, can I ask why you have decided to pull me from finding out what deal Skye has made?" Ward asked.
"I haven't, but you are pushing too hard again. Do you remember the last time? And now she has Agent Morse, her soulmate close by," Coulson explained.
"I can get the info, and I haven't forgotten. Agent Morse also won't be a problem for me," Ward said.
Coulson nodded and dismissed Ward. After Ward left, he sighed and leaned back in his chair. He hated what he was doing, he liked Skye a lot, and after she had gotten hurt and he couldn't be there for her, he got even more determined to figure out what deal she had made with Maria and Melinda. He didn't believe May was far while Skye was recovering.
He had asked Maria and May more than once about the deal, but neither would tell him, he was getting frustrated. He had also started to see Skye as the daughter he never had, and he didn't like the fact that she was involved in something he couldn't help her with. As he didn't know what the deal was, or if it had been done or not, he wanted to protect Skye; he kept telling himself that was the only reason he had Ward asking Skye the questions.
And then there was the whole GH-325 drug, and what would happen moving forward, he needed to pull Skye aside to tell her what she was injected with and get her help to find the person or persons behind it.
He closed his eyes to relax a little, but he didn't get to relax much, he got an alert that they had a mission, he sighed and called the others back to the Bus.
The mission went without a hitch, they had gotten a report about an 084, which just turned out to be an art project from a group of young hipsters, Coulson thinks they were called.
Ward had been annoyed with the agent that had reported it, Bobbi and Skye had laughed at the outcome of the mission, May had rolled her eyes, Fitzsimmons were both annoyed and amused, and Coulson had gotten a headache.
Now they were in the air, May was in the cockpit, Ward was in the kitchen, Skye and Bobbi were sitting on the couch watching a movie, Fitzsimmons were in the lab, and Coulson was on his way down there, there was something he wanted to speak to Simmons about.
When he entered the lab Fitz and Simmons were bickering about something he couldn't understand, they stopped when they saw him.
"Hello sir, do we have a new mission?" Simmons asked.
"No, but I would like to speak with you, Agent Simmons, alone," Coulson said looking at the two of them.
"Well, then I will go see what Skye and Bobbi are doing," Fitz said, before leaving.
"What can I help you with sir?" Simmons asked.
"I want you to take a blood sample of me and Skye," he said.
Simmons was confused as to why he wanted her to do that.
"Okay, sir, can I ask why?" she asked.
"Yeah, I want you to see what you can find on the GH serum and compare our blood to before and after we received the serum," he said.
Simmons was staring at Coulson for a moment.
"Okay, but I don't know how much I can do here. I know someone at the Hub who could-" Simmons started to say, but Coulson interrupted her.
"No, it will stay between you and me, and that is an order. Are we clear?" Coulson said.
"Yes, sir," Simmons said.
"Good," Coulson said, then he told Simmons to take a blood sample from him and he would send Skye down tomorrow. Simmons nodded and did what was ordered, after that Coulson left.
Fitz came down soon after and asked what Coulson wanted, Simmons said that it was nothing, but she did mindlink him telling her they needed to talk to May tonight.
So, when Ward and Coulson had gone to bed Simmons, Fitz, Bobbi, Skye, and May met on the lower deck under the cockpit, Simmons told them what Coulson had ordered her to do.
They also included Victoria, Natasha, Sharon, Maria, and Peggy via the mindlink.
"Do it, but be careful what you log, we can't afford him poking in this, but at least we can keep an eye on it," Peggy said.
"Coulson is also starting to ask about the deal again," Maria said.
"Why don't we just tell him?" Skye asked, Melinda was acting as Victoria, Natasha, Sharon, Maria, and Peggy's eyes and ears, so they all heard Skye's question.
"Because we don't believe he will understand," Victoria answered.
"Why not? I mean he loves Captain America," Skye said.
"It's different. He grew up with stories of Captain America, but some of us are his friends, he has known some of us for years, and if we tell him we can transform into giant wolves, he might freak out," Melinda answered.
"But Steve, as in Captain America, is a part of this wolf thing now, so won't he at least understand?" Skye asked.
"Maybe, we will have to discuss this, for now just be careful, understand?" Peggy said, when everyone had said they understood, Peggy dismissed them all.
May went back to the cockpit, Fitzsimmons went back to their bunks, and Bobbi followed Skye back to hers since Bobbi wanted to talk to Skye.
Skye had assumed Bobbi wanted to talk to her about her proposal of telling Coulson about the wolf program, but that wasn't it.
Bobbi wanted to check her over and hear how she was doing, and Skye knew that Sharon, Maria, Tony, and Pepper had asked Bobbi to ask her. Yes, she knew Bobbi was concerned about her too, but the questions Bobbi asked, Skye knew it wasn't just Bobbi asking.
Skye was amused by it.
"Are they satisfied by the answers?" Skye asked, with a smirk.
"For now, yes," Bobbi answered, looking a little sheepish.
"Do you want to watch a movie?" Skye asked, Bobbi had noticed that Skye would ask her or Simmons to stay with her, Bobbi had even seen her go to the cockpit sometimes.
Bobbi could guess as to why Skye didn't want to be alone at night, they had to do something about that, but for now, Bobbi was happy to just relax beside Skye.
So, Bobbi agreed to watch a movie. She also learned tonight that Skye didn't care about what movie they watched, it didn't really matter since Skye fell asleep within the first fifteen minutes.
Bobbi turned the movie off soon after and laid down to get some sleep.
The peace didn't last long, Skye and Coulson thought they had figured out who and how to catch the clairvoyant, but it didn't go as planned; an Agent was sent to the hospital when Mike or rather Deathlok showed up.
Simmon and Bobbi had stayed behind at the Hub, while the rest of the team went after a lead on where Thomas Nash, aka the Clairvoyant, was.
Ward ended up shooting Nash when his animated voice talked about what his organization would do to Skye when they got their hands on her.
Ward was taken to the Cage until their arrival at the Triskelion for his hearing, not much time had passed when Garrett joined them as he was being shot at by SHIELD jets.
Coulson had also just figured out that Nash wasn't the Clairvoyant, but it was a high-ranking SHIELD Agent, and he was guessing it was Victoria Hand.
When he told them this, Garrett hopped on board with that idea, and then they let Ward out from the Cage to help take down Hand.
But May, Fitz, and Skye shared a look. May had already contacted Victoria, to warn her that Coulson thought her to be the Clairvoyant.
A little after that they learned that HYDRA wasn't as defeated as they thought, and they were taking over SHIELD.
Garrett wanted to run at first, but Coulson was firm on getting Simmons and Bobbi from the Triskelion; Garrett then remembered that his rookie, Trip, was there as well.
Skye had been paired with Ward to blow up the servers once they got to the Hub and got out of the Bus.
When Skye and Ward met up with the rest of them, they saw Garrett being taken away in handcuffs. Ward and Skye were so confused. While Coulson took Ward away, May and Bobbi came over to her, to explain what had happened. Fitzsimmons were with their Alpha.
Victoria ordered a few of the remaining agents to accompany Garrett to the fridge, Ward volunteering to go with them, claiming he wanted to shut the cell door in his former SO's face. There was also the fact they could need him there to make sure that Hydra wouldn't take over the fridge.
