AN: Hi all I have sad news for you all, this story (only book one) is almost done, there is only about 1 more chapter left.
When Coulson and the others walked out of the elevator, he stopped and stared at the scene in front of him, Stark was speaking with Hand and Romanoff, he looked agitated, if Coulson were to guess, it would be because it looked like a few SHIELD agents had taken over his place, he also saw a bruised Steve Rogers.
"Finally, there you are!" Stark yelled, getting the attention from everyone.
"Tony, we will find her, we are doing everything we can, and so are you, JARVIS is trying to track her down," Romanoff said to Stark very calmly. Which he thought was strange coming from Romanoff, especially when the receiver was Stark.
"Anyone want to explain what is going on?" He asked when no one said anything after Romanoff had calmed down Stark.
"If you both would follow me, I can explain things, so the others can continue working," a voice behind him said.
Coulson was staring at the woman in front of him, she looked like Peggy Carter, a glance at Trip, he was looking at the woman with an open mouth.
"You're Peggy Carter," Trip stated, he didn't ask if his grandfather was a friend of Peggy Carter and Steve Rogers, he had seen many pictures of her, even met her when he was younger, so he was pretty sure she was Peggy Carter.
"Yes, I am, and hello young Antoine, you have gotten so big,"
Coulson, who had been about to tell Trip that Peggy Carter had died, and that he should have known that, and definitely wouldn't be a woman in her sixties if she was alive today, stopped and was now staring with an open mouth.
"Victoria, would you like to join me, since Maria is busy?" Peggy Carter said, Victoria nodded. Coulson turned his head to look at what Hill was doing, he saw her with Sharon Carter and Morse, then he remembered what Carter and Hill told him when they and May had picked them up, he turned to the woman who he still wasn't sure was Peggy Carter.
"Can you give me two minutes?" He asked, the woman nodded, then he went over to the three women, they looked up when he was in front of them.
Before he could speak, Hill beat him to it.
"Yes, Coulson, Sharon and I are Skye's romantic soulmates, and Bobbi is her platonic soulmate, and no we are not soulmates," Hill said, gesturing to Morse and herself and Sharon.
"But we can talk about that later, you and Trip need to go with Peggy and Victoria, they will explain things more," Hill continued. Coulson nodded again, he was getting a headache, but he wanted answers.
So, he went with them, and they entered a small office.
"Now, first I will tell you how the wolf program started, then you can ask questions, can you agree on that?" Peggy Carter asked, Trip was quick to agree, Coulson agreed after a moment.
Jonathan was getting worried that Rick might lose, Skye was attacking with no hesitation, but he could see that Rick was saving his energy for when Skye got tired. Rick had gotten a few injuries, though they weren't serious, suddenly Skye got Rick beneath her and attached herself to his neck, now Jonathan was very concerned.
Rick was starting to show signs of submitting, when Skye froze before letting go of Rick to howl in agony. Jonathan had felt it too, it meant that a wolf had died. He couldn't tell who since he didn't really care, and of course the block that they had. Luckily, they could make it permanent when Rick won, then together the three of them would break from the pack, just like the old third pack did.
Rick had also frozen but not for long before pushing Skye off him, and then biting down on Skye's neck.
"Maria, Sharon, Peggy, Bobbi! ANYONE!" Skye's mind screamed.
"Skye! What's going on, where are you, are you okay!?" Sharon's panicked voice sounded in her head.
"No, Rick and Jonathan are Hydra. They want me to work for them and I can't win, I'm sorry," Skye said, feeling her energy falling and the need to submit overtaking her. She knew the rest of the pack could feel it, she could also feel them in her head, but strangely Rick and Jonathan's minds weren't there, nor were Sam's.
"Don't worry Skye, we will find you, do you know where you are?" Natasha asked.
"Yes," Skye whimpered, and then told them where they were, and that Ward and Garrett were there too. That they wanted her to be with Ward romantically, and they also wanted to remove her marks.
"Where is Sam?" Skye was afraid to ask, and she didn't understand why.
"Did you feel a pain in your chest a moment ago?" Victoria asked calmly, but still with pain in her voice.
"Yeah, what was that?" Skye answered.
"That meant a wolf died," Peggy answered.
"No," Skye whimpered.
"Skye, we will find you, we are heading out in ten, so you hold on, we will come for you," Natasha's stern voice said.
"I can't hold on anymore, it hurts, I wanna sleep," Skye said, whining.
There was silence for a moment before Peggy told her it was okay, they would save her. She knew that Peggy had viewed her memories from the moment she and Ward had left the base.
Jonathan was brought out of his thoughts about who had died, when he heard a whimper and saw Rick getting off Skye. Rick then looked over at him, that was his queue to shift and make Skye accept him as her beta.
He shifted and walked over, Rick moved aside, Skye snarled at him, and it looked like she wanted to fight but she had no energy to fight anymore, so he just bit the other side of her neck. She submitted faster than she had with Rick, but that was expected.
"Good, now that that is over, we can start the separation from the pack," Rick started.
Then he explained to Skye how she needed to focus on every member of the old pack and sever the pack bond. He said that they needed to do it together, and in their wolf form, so they would do it now, then he asked if she knew who had died to which she nodded and told them it was Sam, Rick just nodded, and told her to sit.
Skye struggled to sit up, but she managed, then they sat in a circle. Rick said they needed to start with Steve Rogers as he hadn't found his place yet, then the omegas, then sigma's, then betas, then the other alphas, then Peggy.
Before they started Skye asked if she could rest just a little before they did this, but Rick shot her down, telling her she could rest after.
"But what about Sharon, Maria, or Bobbi, or the rest, I don't want to break from them," Skye said quietly.
Rick turned to Skye with a glare.
"You will do as you are told, I don't care what you want, do you understand?" Rick said using his new alpha voice.
Skye shivered, never having had an alpha voice directed directly at her.
Peggy and Victoria answered questions from Coulson and Trip, then went back to the rest of the group, and they also answered some of the questions.
When suddenly they felt a wolf die.
"What happened?" Pepper asked when every wolf stopped what they were doing and looked like they were in pain.
"It's Sam, she's dead," Peggy said sadly.
"How?" Pepper asked.
"I don't know. Izzy, Kara, go find out what happened, you know where she was hiding," Peggy said, the two women nodded, but before they could leave Clint spoke up. He said he wanted to go with them, and that he needed to do something, Peggy nodded, and the three left.
But before they walked out the door of the room they were in Skye's panicked and pain filled voice screamed in all their heads.
Simmons informed Pepper, Tony, Trip, and Coulson what was going on in their mind link while they talked to Skye. Tony threw the tablet he had in his hands at the wall, before saying he would have the plane that May had used before ready in 30 minutes, so if they left within ten minutes they could take off right away.
Peggy nodded at Tony. Upon receiving the nod, Tony took out his phone and called the small airfield, after hanging up he told them that it would be ready.
They had lost the connection with Skye, Peggy was telling them about what Skye had learnt from Rick, Jonathan, Garrett, and Ward.
Carter, Hill, and Morse looked like they were about to kill someone, if you asked Coulson.
"Okay, everyone gear up, meet at the cars in nine minutes, let's go!" Peggy ordered.
Coulson followed May and Romanoff.
"Peggy," Pepper said in a small voice.
"We'll get her," Peggy said, giving Pepper a hug. Pepper nodded, she had tears rolling down her cheeks.
Seven minutes later they were on the way to the airfield, except Pepper, Victoria, who was looking after Pepper, and Fitz, who was running back end, with a little help from Victoria since Pepper refused to be in the dark about what was going on.
And Izzy and Kara who went to investigate how Sam died, Clint had gone with the others.
