"So let me get this straight, you knew three Originals?"Elena asked Stefan from her chair as a woman poured Klaus another drink of champagne.
The trio were waiting for Rebekah and Liah to come out of the changing rooms that were in front of them. Rebekah had been trying on expensive outfits on for an hour and Liah seemed to be looking at the cheap, but not too cheap, outfits to try on.
"Yes."Stefan said dully."What are you doing here exactly."
"What do you think she's doing here, exactly?"Liah asked sarcastically as she stepped out of the changing room, wearing a white sleeveless, knee length dress with a slim black bow around her waist."She's here because she's Elijah's and Elijah is hers. They're bonded and she's also Elijah's intended Mate."
"Ok, before, they called you an Immortal Werewitch, half Werewolf, half Witch. What does that mean?"Stefan asked, eyes narrowed as Klaus glanced at her with hidden curiosity in his eyes.
"It means that I triggered the Werewolf Curse in me the other day, no thanks to Rebekah and you've known that I am a Witch ever since you and your down right terrible Brother came to Mystic Falls."Elena said tiredly.
"And the Immortal part?"Stefan asked when Elena didn't say anything else.
"When all but one Petrova dies, they gain all of the Ancestral Magic within every Petrova Witch that had ever lived, and somehow, that Petrova becomes Immortal until they have a child, or children."Elena explained and Stefan raised an eyebrow at her.
"The Immortality that she speaks of comes from the Eternal Flame which came from one of her Ancestors merging with a Fire Bird and that's how the Phoenixs were created."Liah pipped and Elena raised an eyebrow at her, wondering how she knew about that information."However, she's not a Phoenix, she only has the Immortality that Phoenixs have and a deep connection to Fire."
"How do you know that when Elijah didn't?"Elena questioned Liah suspiciously, who smiled like she had a secret.
"I am part Witch, Elena... and I may or may not have fallen in love with one of your Ancestors centuries ago."Liah said and smirked at Stefan's and Elena's surprised looks."Anyway, once they have children, the Immortality disappears, until once again, there is only one Petrova alive."
"But what about Katherine? She's a Petrova."
"Yes, she is."Liah agreed."But she's no longer Human. The Eternal Flame only acknowledges the Human Petrova's. Once you die, even if it's just for a few minutes, and you're then brought back to life, the Flame no longer acknowledges you."Liah explained coolly.
Before Stefan could ask anything else, Rebekah called out to them."There has to be more to this dress."
"There's not."Klaus answered as Rebekah came out of the changing room, wearing a black dress that went down to her thighs.
"So women in the 21st century dress like prostitutes, then."Rebekah spat, disgusted."You know, Liah and I got dirty looks for wearing trousers."Rebekah stated, looking annoyed.
Liah nodded, remembering when Rebekah forced her to wear trousers and walked around town. She wanted to rip everyone's heads off everytime they gave her and Rebekah dirty looks.
"You wore trousers so women today could wear nothing."Klaus said, smirking at them.
"And what is this music?"Rebekah questioned them, eyes narrowed."It sounds like a cable car accident."
"I agree."Liah stated, looking around with pursed lips.
"It's dance music."Stefan spoke up.
"People dance to this?"Rebekah questioned her former Lover.
"Hmm."
"You're lying."Liah denied."Tell me he's lying. Who could possibly dance to this."
"I don't."Elena spoke up."I'd rather be back in my Hotel, listening or dancing to Jazz Music then listen to this crap."Elena said as she pulled out her phone and started checking for any messages from Katherine.
"You like Jazz?"Liah questioned her, eyes bright and Elena looked up at her, nodding.
"Yep."Elena said, popping the p.
"Lovely, so does Elijah."Liah said happily and grinned widely at Elena, who couldn't help but smile back at the older female Hybrid. Liah's smile was contagious."Do you like Classical Music as well."
Elena nodded before looking at Klaus."Speaking of Elijah, when are you going to wake him up?"Elena questioned the male Hybrid.
"I won't be waking Elijah up for a while, Love."Elena, Rebekah, and Liah glared at him."He tried to kill me. It's only fair that he has a little time out."
Elena's eyes flashed between yellowish gold to pure amber, which slightly freaked Stefan out."He tried to kill you because you lied to him about what you did to your Siblings."Elena snarled as her eyes returned to normal.
"Look, I will Undagger Elijah after I find out why my Hybrids are dying. Now,"Klaus turned his attention back to his Sisters. Liah was still glaring at him but Rebekah seemed to have accepted his answer."Are we done?"He directed his question more toward Rebekah then to both her and Liah.
"And why are you so grumpy?"Rebekah asked.
"I needed one thing from you for my Witch to find out why my Hybrids are dying, one thing."He looked at Rebekah with a fake smile."Your necklace. And you lost it."
"I didn't lose it. It's just been missing for ninety years."Rebekah turned her attention to Stefan."So what do you think?"She asked, doing a little twirl.
"I like it."Stefan said and Elena closed her eyes briefly, inwardly groaning, knowing just from the look in Rebekah's eyes that she wasn't satisfied with his answer."What? I said I like it."
"I can always tell when you're lying, Stefan."Rebekah said in a sharp voice before she went back to the changing room with Liah.
"Nice going."Elena said sarcastically as Stefan looked at her and Klaus in confusion."You could have tried to compliment her and add a voice filled with awe or something."
"Nice one, good work."Klaus added drily.
"You're the one that pulled the Dagger out of her."Stefan retorted and they heard Liah scoff.
"I heard that."Rebekah snapped at them and Klaus groaned.
"All right. I'm going to get some fresh air."Stefan said, putting down his glass before he got up while Klaus poured himself another drink.
"Same. I need to cool off."Liah said as she came out of the changing room, wearing a black thin strap t-shirt, a red knee length pleated skirt, and flats, and gave Klaus another glare before turning her attention to Elena."Coming with, Elena? We can head to your Hotel and get your things?"
"Sure, why not. I hate clothes shopping anyway."Elena grumbled, getting up and Liah quickly looped her arm through Elena's, silently surprising the chocolate haired brunette."Love the outfit by the way."Elena stated approvingly as they followed Stefan to the front doors."Did you get rid of the price tags?"She added.
"Yep."Liah chirped as Stefan glanced over his shoulder at them."And see, Stefan? That is how you tell a girl you like what they're wearing."Stefan rolled his eyes."Which way?"She asked as they stepped outside.
"This way."Elena said, turning the opposite way from Stefan."You seem more pissed off at Klaus then Rebekah is, why is that?"Elena asked as they headed to the Hotel.
"After Rebekah said that she wanted to be with Stefan and Klaus gave her a choice between him and Stefan, which she obviously chose Stefan, Klaus daggered her and then he thought that I'd try to leave him too, even though I didn't have a lover."Liah said, her haze green eyes darkened at the memory."And I'll admit, I was going to leave him, but not because I found someone I fancied, but because I wanted to find Elijah."Liah explained and Elena nodded in understanding.
"I need to tell you something."Elena said as they made a sharp turn.
"What do you need to tell me?"Liah asked, raising an eyebrow at them.
"Not here."Elena said, looking around as if Klaus or Stefan could appear at any moment."At my Hotel Room."Lucky, the Hotel was only across the road.
Heading inside, the duo walked over to the elevator and pressed the second to last floor. Once up there, Elena pulled out her key card, swiped it before they entered the room and Liah whistled.
"Nice."Liah said, looking around with an impressed look in her eyes."Now, what do you need to tell me?"She asked as she sat down.
"Did you know that Elijah had an Elixir that could bring the Doppelganger back to life?"Elena asked as she sat down next to Liah.
Liah's eyes widened slightly in surprise that Elena knew about the Elixir and she nodded."Of course. I was the one who created it for him."This time, it was Elena's turn for her own eyes to widen in shock."Did it work? Is your Sister alive?"
"We wouldn't know if it had worked."Elena said and Liah looked at her confused."Damon, Stefan's Older Brother, forced Emily to drink his blood, making the Elixir useless."Liah nodded, already knowing that Vampire Blood would make the Elixir useless."But my Biological Father exchanged his life for Emily's so that she could come back as a Human and not a Vampire."
"So she's alive?"Liah asked, hazel green eyes wide."And she's Human?"She added for confirmation.
"Yes, she's alive and Human. I think that her being alive is part of the reason why Klaus is failing with making his Hybrids."Elena said thoughtfully and Liah hummed, looking just as thoughtful.
"Why are you telling me this? Aren't you afraid that I'm going to tell Klaus that your Sister is alive?"Liah couldn't help but question Elena's motives behind telling her.
"I'm telling you this for that exact reason."Elena said coolly."I want Klaus to know that Emily being alive might be the reason why he's failed in making his Hybrids, but I can't do that with Stefan around."
"You dislike your Sister..."Liah trailed off and shook her head."No, you hate her, why?"Liah corrected herself before Elena could say anything.
"Because she and her friends treated me like crap."Elena said, frowning and Liah's eyes darkened."But that's not all they did, before Emily and her friends, mainly Emily and Bonnie, knew about the Supernatural World, they would call me a freak, and other cruel names. Plus, everyone, even our parents, as well as our Aunt and Biological Father, cared and loved her more. The only people that have ever cared about me was Sheila Bennett, who I called Grams, and Katherine."Elena explained as tears formed in her eyes at the thought of Sheila."Katherine is my only real friend who has cared about me ever since Grams died."Elena said in a wobbly voice and she couldn't hold back her tears any longer."And Elijah already gave me his word not to hurt her. Please, can you support at me this?"
Liah listened to Elena silently and couldn't bare to watch her like this. Liah pulled the young Immortal into a loving and warm hug, one like when a mother would hug their child, and Liah rested her chin on top of Elena's head as the webby veins pulsed to life under her eyes.
"Of course, I will not harm Katherine and I swear to whatever god that is up there that I won't allow anyone to ever hurt you again. Hell, I won't even let Kol or Nik hurt you."Liah promised Elena before she started pondering over their options for a moment and then a plan started to form in her mind."We'll be quite for now. Let's see what Gloria will say to Niklaus. If Gloria fails, we'll tell my Brother that your bitch of a Sister is alive."
After calming down, the duo headed to Gloria's Bar."What took you two so long?"Rebekah asked from her spot on the bar table, raising an eyebrow at the brunettes. Klaus glanced at them from his seat next to where Rebekah was sitting on the bar, pursing his lips.
"I said I needed to cool off, Bekah."Liah said, rolling her eyes at her Baby Sister before looking at Gloria, who was sitting at table, surrounded by candles."Hiya, Gloria, my, don't you still look young, sugar. I see that the ingredients to make that did good for you."
"Why thank you, darling."Gloria said, smiling at the female Hybrid. She always did love hanging around the Witchpire Hybrid Mikaelson."And who's this sweet thing?"
"This is Elena, our Baby Sister." Liah said as she dragged Elena over to where her Siblings were while Gloria raised an eyebrow at Elena.
"I didn't know you had another Sister."Gloria said, eyeing Elena curiously.
"Oh, not by blood."Klaus quickly explained."No, she's Elijah's intended Mate. You see, they have Bond."Gloria nodded in understanding."But that doesn't make her any less then Family. Now, if you don't mind."
"Watch your tone with me, Hybrid."Gloria warned Klaus."We don't need a repeat of what happened last time, now do we?"Klaus stayed silent at that but gave her a dark look.
"You left us."Rebekah said the moment Stefan came into the bar.
"Yeah, sorry."Elena rolled her eyes. She knew that tone. Stefan wasn't sorry at all."Retail therapy was making my head explode."
"Tell me about it."Klaus grumbled and Liah slapped him up the head as Stefan glanced at Gloria curiously.
"What's she doing?"Stefan asked, trying to seem causal. Elena's eyes narrowed while Liah pursed her lips into a thin line as they shared a look.
"She's failing."Klaus stated.
"She is not."Liah retorted.
"It's hard to find something when you don't have anything to go on."Gloria added her input.
"So use me."Rebekah pipped up."I only wore it for a thousand years."She added, glancing at Klaus before she got off the bar and headed over to Gloria.
"See? Now this one offers a solution."Gloria said, pleased, as she gestured to Rebekah as the blonde sat on the table."All right, give me your hand, sweetheart."Gloria said, holding out her hand for Rebekah to take.
Rebekah placed her hand in Gloria's and the Witch placed her other hand over Rebekah's."She's, uh, she's looking for the necklace, huh?"Stefan asked and both brunettes, without anyone noticing rolled their eyes.
"No duh."Elena said and Stefan glanced at her and Liah.
"You're a Witch and a Vampire, right? Why don't you look for it?"Stefan asked, looking at Liah with a raised eyebrow.
Liah's eyes widened and her jaw dropped slightly."I've been dead for ninety years."Liah stated and glared at Stefan."My Magic needs time to build up."Liah lied before she turned to glare at Klaus."Besides, what little Magic I had as soon as Nik Undaggered me, I used to call out to Elena and guide her to the warehouse."Liah explained.
"I can sense something."Gloria suddenly said, causing everyone to look at her and Stefan stepped forward, looking a bit concerned that went unnoticed by all except Elena and Liah."Anta Cotis Syrum, Anta Cotis Syrum."Gloria started chanting. While Elena watched as Gloria tried to find the necklace with a Locator Spell, a thought came to her.
She slightly tilted her head towards Liah."Hey, would it be ok with you to be my Mentor. You know like teach me some new Spells?"Elena asked hopefully.
Liah smiles friendly at Elena."Sure sweetheart."Elena smiled happily at that.
"I found it."Gloria stated when everyone looked at her curiously and Stefan glanced down at his feet for a brief second.
"So where is it?"Rebekah demanded, leaning forward.
"It doesn't work like that, doll."Gloria said, looking back at Rebekah."I get images. There's a girl with her friends-Yes, a dead girl with dead friends, if I don't get my necklace back."Rebekah cut Gloria off.
"Well, I'll have to dive back in to get the details."Gloria explained.
"So dive."Klaus said, walking towards Gloria.
"I need more time."Gloria looked at Liah when she said that."And space."She added irritated when Klaus got in her personal space."You're harshing my ju-ju."
"We can wait."Klaus answered, seeming unaffected by what Gloria was asking of him.
"I'm sure you can."Gloria nodded."But that's not what I asked."
"Nik, leave."Liah said, stepping forward and Klaus looked at her."NOW!"She added sharply.
"Hey."Stefan walked over to Stefan and Gloria."Hey, you know,"He patted Klaus on the back."why don't we just come back later. I'm hungry anyway."He looked over at Rebekah, who looked back at him."I'll let you pick who we eat."He added and Klaus smirked and glanced at Rebekah.
"Liah? Coming sweetheart?"Klaus asked Liah without looking at her.
Liah went to answer him when Elena suddenly grabbed her wrist, causing the Witchpire to look at her questionably, only to be given a 'I need to talk to you in private' look.
"Nah, I'm going to show Elena some of my favourite places in Chicago, meet back here later?"Klaus and Rebekah nodded before everyone followed Stefan outside, only to part ways.
"Ok, what is it?"Liah asked once they were out of ear shot.
"I know why Stefan is so concerned about this necklace."Liah gave her a look that says go on."Stefan gave a necklace to Emily, it looks very old and unique, plus it has a little gem on it."
"That's Rebekah's necklace."Liah breathed out, eyes wide."She is going to be so pissed that your Sister is wearing her necklace."The hazel green eyed Hybrid stated, frowning."I've known Gloria for a long time and if there's anything she has ever learned from me, it is to have ulterior motives."
"You think she has a secret agenda?"Elena asked, eyes narrowed.
"I don't think. I know."Liah corrected Elena.
"Should we head back to Gloria's?"Liah nodded and the two headed back to the bar, only to find the place empty.
"Bloody hell."Liah muttered as they looked around, thinking that Gloria might still be around.
Elena caught sight of a note on the table and picked it up, reading it."Liah."Elena said and Liah came over to her at Vamp-Sped."It's from Katherine."
"Dark Witch wasn't planning on helping you. She's Dead. Don't tell Klaus I did it. Your welcome."Liah read out loud and looked at Elena with narrowed eyes and pursed lips."She's up to something."
"Question is what?"Elena wondered, frowning.
"Oh well, we'll find out later. For now, let's go back to the Warehouse."Liah said and walked away with Elena following her.
"Do you think you'll ever love anyone like you loved that girl?"They heard Rebekah say as they rounded the corner and found them pressed up against each other.
"One day, maybe."Stefan lied and Rebekah smiled, caressing the side of Stefan's face before her hand dropped to her side.
"I can always tell when you're lying, Stefan."Rebekah reminded him as her face went blank.
"What? I'm not-Don't bother. Your kiss already gave you away."Rebekah cut him off.
"Gloria's gone. She's cleared out. We need to find a new witch immediately or use Liah and Elena."Klaus said as he entered the room, only to pause when he saw Elena shaking her head, Liah glaring coldly at Stefan, and the look on Rebekah's face told him that something wasn't right."What's going on?"He asked, glanced from one person to the other.
"Something's wrong. He was asking about Mikael."Klaus's and Liah's eyes widened at this before their glares became murderous."He's not with us, Nik. I can sense it."Rebekah stated.
"He was never with us from the start."Liah added, crossing her arms over her chest.
"They're wrong. Klaus."Before Stefan could say anything else, Klaus rushed over to him and snapped his neck before turning to Elena.
"Well, now that he's out of the way, we have something to tell you."Elena said coolly.
"And what would that be?"Klaus asked, looking at Elena suspiciously.
"Emily's alive."
