"This is where you lived?"Elena asked, looking at the house, no, the Mansion, with an impressed look in her eyes as she got out of the car that Liah had brought for her through compulsion.
Currently, she and Liah were in New York City. They had told Klaus and Rebekah how Emily was alive and that they couldn't tell them with Stefan around, in case he tried something. Elena also asked Klaus if he could make Stefan forget that she and Emily were Werewolves. Klaus agreed to it, after learning how Elena's Family and friends treated her.
Liah then told her Siblings and Elena that she and Elena were going to go to New York and that they'd meet them in Mystic Falls."Yep."Liah said, popping the p."Although, it's not as impressive as the Mansions Nik has built, he designs them himself after all."Liah paused for a minute and looked thoughtful."Then again, Nik is all about being a show off and what not."Liah shrugged.
"Did you have this house designed and built then?"Elena asked as she followed the older Hybrid up the steps.
"Nope. Elijah did, for my Birthday, of course."Liah said, glancing at Elena over her shoulder."It was also an I'm sorry present."Elena raised an eyebrow at her."Did Elijah tell you that I'm Kol's twin?"
"He did."Elena said, confused as to where this was going.
"Nik and Elijah Daggered Kol, about nearly a hundred years ago, on our own Birthday, which Nik turned into a Christmas Party."Elena looked at Liah in pure shock as Liah let them inside the Mansion."After that, I left. I was furious, so of course I had a right to leave."Liah defended herself as they headed towards the living room."Two years later, I ran into Elijah, who was supposedly on a business trip, and a week before my Birthday, he brought me here, saying that this was mine, as a gift."Liah flopped gracefully onto the couch, stretching out while Elena sat down in the arm chair."That this was my safe haven if I ever felt the need to get away from my Siblings. But of course I just had go and find them years later after what happened."
"What happened exactly?"Elena asked curiously.
"Mikael happened."Liah spat and Elena grimaced.
Liah had told her all she needed to know about Mikael and how he had chased his children for a thousand years, all because Klaus wasn't his Son but was the Son of a Werewolf who belonged to the same Pack that killed his youngest son.
"What did he do?"Elena asked, although she was afraid to actually ask.
"He found my Siblings and chased them out of the City we had built centuries ago."Liah answered."He even went so far as to burn down the Opera House."Liah said, annoyed and Elena blinked rapidly."Anyway, this isn't why we're in New York. We here to find some stones that I know I stashed here somewhere."Elena raised an eyebrow at Liah as the Witchpire got up.
"What's so important about these stones?"Elena asked in confusion as she got up and followed the other brunette upstairs.
"These stones are Black Kyanite Gemstones."Liah stated but Elena was still confused."My Mother, from what I gathered from her Grimoire, used a Black Kyanite Gemstone to create a Moonlight Ring for Nik's Biological Father, so that he could turn at will."Elena's eyes widened in surprised."And since you're Family, and we don't really know if a Werewitch can turn at will or not, I think it's best that you have a Moonlight Ring so that you can turn whenever the hell you want."Liah explained to Elena who looked at her in awe."However, your first transformation will be the only one that you'll need to turn into a Werewolf, a right of passage or something like that."Liah shrugged and Elena nodded in understanding.
"So where was the last place you put these stones?"Elena asked as they entered one of the many rooms, which was a study.
"Somewhere in here."Liah stated, gesturing around them and Elena grimaced at the state the study was in. It was a complete mess."Don't touch anything."Liah added, noticing the look in Elena's eyes, and rolled her own eyes when Elena put her hands up in mock surrender."I know that look. It's the same look Elijah gets on his face when he sees the state my room is in and wants to try and clean up. He's a complete clean freak."Liah stated and Elena blushed."Found them!"Liah suddenly exclaimed after a few more minutes of looking through her mess and held up a jar filled with Black Kyanite Gemstones.
"Now what?"Elena asked, eager to have a Moonlight Ring so that she could stop turning into a Werewolf after her first transformation.
"Now we do the Spell that makes this ring active."Liah said while opening the jar and picked up one of the stones before setting the jar down and walked over to where a jewellery box was."Normally to do this Spell to activate it's power,"Opening the box, Liah picked up a ring and put the Black Kyanite Gemstone in the Ring."I'd need to to do it under a Full Moon, however, I learned a little trick from when I was in Africa, with Kol, in the 14th Century. The tribal Witches taught me how to use objects that have connections to the Moon, like the water or a Moonstone."Liah explained as she walked over to her desk and put the ring down before walking around the desk and opened one of the draws."And while this Moonstone"Liah picked up said Moonstone and closed the draw, before showing it to the wide eyed Werewitch."isn't as big as the Moonstone that bound Klaus' Werewolf side, it's just as effective."Liah explained as she put the two objects on the table in front of her before letting her hands hover above the items."Matere et lunare tua virtus."Liah chanted as Elena came over to watch and learn, in case she ever needed to do it herself."Matere et lunare tua virtus."The Moonstone started to glow dimly, as did the Moonlight ring before it all faded and Elena looked at her questionably."All done."Liah chirped as she picked up the ring and held it out to Elena, who took it and placed it on her index finger."Just don't wear it on your first transformation, ok?"Elena just nodded."Now, I'm just gonna start packing some stuff that I'd need to take with me back to Mystic Falls. You can go explore if you want. There's a Library at the end of the left hallway and down the right hallway is an indoor garden."Elena's eyes lit up and before Liah could say anything else, the Immortal Werewitch was gone."If I didn't know any better, I would have thought she was a Vampire."Liah muttered, amused."Kol will just adore her."She mused out loud.
Two hours passed by before Liah, who had just finished packing, came out into the indoor garden, which was still alive after all these years because Liah had used a Spell to make it so, and found Elena sitting on the bench that was under the big oak tree, reading a book.
Liah silently walked over to the younger Immortal."You'll never guess what I found."Liah chirped, startling Elena.
"Liah!"Elena exclaimed as she turned slightly to face the older Immortal, who smirked at her as she closed the book she was reading.
"Guess what I found."Elena shrugged, eyeing Liah suspiciously as she noticed that her hands were behind her back."Ta-da!"Liah exclaimed as she showed Elena what she was hiding behind her back.
"It's a Grimoire."Elena stated after a second of carefully looking at the book.
"It's not just any Grimoire."Liah said, scoffing in mock outrage."It's my Grimoire that Kol made for me."Elena's eyebrow shot up questionably."It's filled with Spells that he and I had learned from when we were in Africa and in Haiti."Liah stated, her smirk becoming dark."And now it's yours."
"You're gonna give it to me? Why?"Elena asked as she gently took the delicate book from Liah, who looked at her encouragingly to open the book.
"Because this books, while not necessarily dark, has borderline Dark and Black Magic Spells that I think can be useful for you to use against your Sister and her friends, and to protect yourself."Liah explained as she turned the page."Oh, this one you can use against Stefan and his Brother. It disables Daylight Rings for twenty four hours, so they'd either have to wait or get a Witch to make them another one."Liah explained what the Spell did."Then there's one where you can enter peoples dreams and torture them."Liah stated."Although, if you torture them to the point of death in their dreams, some of the wounds might become real in reality."She added cautiously and Elena nodded."There's also one were you can turn a Werewolf, or a group of Wolfs, into their Wolf Form for an entire month, save the Full Moon, where they turn back into Humans, along with a Counter Spell... Oh, there's also one very important Spell that I recommend that you don't do without Kol or I to be there to guide you through. It's a Spell that can create Dark Objects."
"Ok..."Elena trailed off thoughtfully."Thank you."She added gratefully and Liah smiled.
"Your welcome."Liah said coolly."Now, since we're in New York, why don't we go shopping? If I know Nik, he's likely making Mystic Falls his home and sooner or later, there will be a party."
"I can't go drinking with Katherine and now, I can't even go shopping with you."Elena exclaimed as she dropped all of her bags, that were filled with clothes, by the couch so that she could flop down on said couch, kicking her shoes off."Katherine gets me drunk and you make my feet hurt."Elena whined."What's next? Is Rebekah the same as you? Is Klaus gonna make me sit still while he does a portrait of me?"
"Rebekah will most likely only make you model your clothes so she can see if what you're wearing will go perfectly with whatever tie Elijah will be wearing."Liah said, laughing."As for Nik? Most likely, yes. But don't worry. He'd do a portrait of you by yourself, followed by one of you and Elijah together, and then you, me, and Rebekah, and finally a Family one."Elena groaned in misery.
"Elena, get up!"Liah said later that night as she flipped the light switch on and Elena groaned."We gotta go. Now!"Liah practically barked out as she grabbed Elena's bags and started throwing them into the duffel bags.
"What? Why?"Elena asked as she sat up, looking at Liah with sleepy eyes and picked up her phone, peering down at the time on it."It's one in the morning."
"I just got off the phone with Rebekah."Liah said sharply, which snapped Elena awake and caused her to jump out of bed."She texted me, saying that it was urgent and she's right. It is urgent."
"What's happened?"
"Klaus left Rebekah in Mystic Falls. I tried locating him but obviously he had a Witch cloak him from me."Liah stated.
"Why would he leave her? It doesn't make sense."Elena asked as she started packing.
"Apparently Damon name-dropped Mikael. They're digging into things they shouldn't be digging into."Liah hissed darkly."Wanna know what's worse. I just saw my Ex Lover, Caspian, who Klaus killed."
"Wait, killed, like, Klaus turned Caspian?"Elena wondered and Liah shook her head in negative response.
"The other killed. As in dead dead."Liah stated and Elena looked at her, eyes wide."But the worse part was, I could touch him, feel him. Someone's messing with the veil of Other Side and now Spirits have become material, which mean's they're now able to mess with the Living Realm."Elena grimaced at this new piece of information.
"Bloody hell."Elena said grimly.
