Kagome woke up feeling warm. As she tried to sit up she found that she could not. Looking down she saw that there were two arms thrown across her waist and a body over her feet. Following one arm she smiled when she saw that Rhodey was snuggled into her right side. Turning to her left she saw that the owner of the other arm was Loki, who was also snuggled in to her left side. Looking down as best she could she stifled a laugh as she saw Hades hugging her feet. With a sigh, she slowly began her struggle of trying to get out of the dog plie that she was in without waking the three men up.

As she walked into the kitchen she noticed the time and sighed it was barely even three am. Walking over to the coffee pot, she turned it on and begun waiting for the coffee to brew. After a few moments of waiting she had her coffee. She sat down on one of bar stools and hunched over the island and wrapped her hands around her cup and breathed in the scent of fresh coffee.

She was so wrapped up in her thoughts that she did not even notice that someone else had entered the room.

Tony drowsily made his way out of this lab and to the kitchen cursing Jarvis for turning off his coffee pot and sicking Dum-E on him every time he neared the machine to turn it on. As he stumbled into the kitchen he noticed that Kagome was there. As he walked to the machine he noted that it was cold and sighed. Glancing at her out of the corner of his eye he noticed that she had not realized that he was even in the room. Shaking his head, he turned on the coffee pot and waited.

It was just as he poured himself a cup and was leaning against the counter breathing in the scent, that Pepper stormed in. Her face was full of fury and he wondered what he had done this time to make her so mad. He shot a quick look over to Kagome and noticed that she was still in her own world and did not seem to scene that there was going to be a fight near her.

Pepper is so focused on Tony that she never noticed Kagome.

As Pepper neared Tony, he got a feeling that this was going to be a very different kind of fight.

Pepper stormed up to Tony and ripped the cup out of his hands and slammed it down on the counter. Tony brought his hands up in surrender and his eyebrows creased in confusion.

"Whoa, there Pep, what's wrong?"

Pepper's eyes narrowed at Tony "What's wrong? What do you think is wrong?"

"Ummm, I didn't show up for a board meeting?"

Pepper snorted at Tony and moved closer to him, and slapped him. Tony's eyes widened as his head whipped to the side. He brought his hand up to his cheek and slowly moved to looked at her. Pepper had tears in her eyes he noticed for the first time. And that confused him even more. He had no idea what he had done wrong.

"Pep. I honestly have no idea what's wrong."

"You know I believed you when you said that you loved me but I never thought that you would do this to me.!"

"Do what Pepper? I never have never lied about loving you."

"So why are you so jealous about James's and Kagome's relationship. I'm not stupid Tony. I thought, you were just being over protective of her like you always are. But after seeing Clint punching you this morning for the look on your face. I can't take it. Am I just a replacement for her because you knew deep down that she has been with James all along?"

Tony's eyes widened and moved to touch her, she slapped his hand away and backed away from him. "No Pepper, I've always loved you. I'm just being over protective I swear to you that's all."

Pepper shook her head at him. Her tears falling down her face "We are done Tony. I'll see you in the morning. I'm going to the guest floor. I'll still be CEO of the company and in time I think that we can still befriends but right now. Right now, I want to be as far away from you as possible. "

With that she left for the elevator.

When the doors closed Tony sunk to the floor. His head in his hands as he felt himself begin to cry.

The sound of Pepper slapping Tony had brought Kagome out of her thoughts, she was quite as she watched Pepper and Tony. Her eyes were wide as she watched the figtht. She never thought that Pepper would end things with Tony like this. If anything, she thought the woman would have ended things because she could not handle Tony going out to save the world.

As Pepper left she turned her head back to Tony and hopped that Pepper had not seen her in the room. She did not want to have Pepper come yelling at her next for being in the room. After a few moments Kagome got up and walked over to Tony. And sat down beside him, she wrapped her arms around him and pulled him into her. He did not seem to realize that it was her, he sifted for a moment before relaxing and grabbing on to her arms and held her for dear life, while he cried.

Kagome slowly rocked him back and forth while humming a soft tune. After a while she noticed that he stopped shacking, she closed her eyes for a moment before opening them.

"Tony, come on,"

With that she pulled his hands off of her and stood up. Standing in front of him she grabbed his hands and pulled him up. "Jarvis can you please in from the two bed hogs that they are either to make the bed larger, leave the room or sleep on the floor."

Tony realizing that she was pulling him to her room, tried to pull away, her grip tightened around his wrist.

"Mr. Loki and Mr. Hades have informed me to tell you that your room now has two beds and that they clam the second one Miss. Higurashi"

Kagome smiled up at the camera that was on the celling. "Thank you, Jarvis."

With that Kagome pulled the reluctant man with her to her room.

When they entered her room, Tony was tense and ready to be bombarded with questions but he was surprised to find that no one bothered to look at them. The three that occupied the room were engaged in what looked like a deep conversation. But after listening to them for a moment Tony realized that It was just Hades that was talking and that Rhodey and Loki were trying to get the man to shut up.

Kagome smiled at the fact that the three did not move to stare at them. And shook her head remembering a time when each of them had needed her like Tony did. And she knew without a doubt that they were going to try and make him feel safe and calm. Throwing a looking over her shoulder at Tony she shot him a smile and pulled him towards the bed.

Loki gave a brief look over at her and Tony before smiling softly when he saw how gentile she was being with the man and remembered when she was like that with him, and how sometimes she still was. Realizing that Tony was wearing clothes that were covered in grease and oil Loki waved his hands and smiled when Tony yelped.

"Thanks Loki," Kagome said as she pushed Tony on the bed and motioned for him to move up the bed and lie down. Loki nodded his head at her before he moved to turn the lights off.

Rhodey looked over at Tony when the man lied down next to him and sighed when he took notice of his red swollen eyes. He shot a look over a Kagome who was starting to lie down on the other side of Tony. Kagome shook her head and gave him a look that told him she'd explain in the morning. And with that Rhodey rolled over to face Tony and wrapped an arm around the man's waist knowing that, when he was like this he needed to be grounded by being touched. He felt Kagome's arm brush his and he could not help but smile.

When Tony woke up he froze, he was face to face with Rhodey. Which normally would not bother him but it was the fact that he felt another arm on him that was too small to be Rhodey's. it was also the fact that he could not remember how he ended up with Rhodey that bothered him. Rolling over he came face to face with Kagome. This caused him to shoot upright and look around the room. As he looked around he spotted another bed that housed a sleeping Hades and an amused looking Loki.

"She brought you in here last night if your confused" Loki said softly which startled Tony. He had not expected Loki be gentile towards him. Brining a hand to his forehead when he felt his head start to pound. Closing his eyes, he thought back to the last thing he remembered. His eyes shot open when he did. He felt a hand on his back. Turning his head to look behind him he saw that it was Kagome who was touching him.

Turning his head back around to look at the wall that was in front of him he closed his eyes. Not caring that there were two other people in the room. He only cared about the face that he was with Kagome and Rhodey.

"So, I'm guessing you heard then?"

Kagome sat up and placed her hand on the cheek that Pepper had slapped. He winched, the cheek was still tender. It was not bruised that much he could tell. Kagome's hand turned pink and he could feel his cheek hurt less and less and his head hurt less and less. He opened his eyes and looked into Kagome's who gave him a sad smile.

"Not all of it, if that's what you're asking. I heard from when she slapped you to when she walked out though."

Tony nodded his head and closed his eyes again. He could feel the stares of the other three people in the room. Rhodey sat up and placed his hand on Tony's shoulder. "Is Kag's talking about Pepper?"

Tony did not have the voice to say yes so, he nodded his head. He felt Rhodey's hand on his shoulder tighten and he leaned in to the touch. Not caring that his mind was screaming at him to pull away and go find Pepper to fight for her.

"What happened Tony?" He could not tell if it was Kagome or Rhodey who spoke, for one the words reached him they became muffed with all the thoughts that were going around in his head.

"I don't fully know. I came up from the lab for coffee around three. Jarvis had locked the coffee in the lab from me. Then Pepper came into the kitchen, and she started yelling at me for lying to her, then she slapped me told me we were over because she felt that is wasn't really in love with her. And that she was a replacement for Kagome. Which isn't true."

The room was silent after he explained which concerned Tony. He was worried that Rhodey and Kagome were going to leave him to. His eyes shot open when the thought crossed his mind and he looked at the full of worry. "You two aren't going to leave me to, right?"

His eyes shot back and forth between the two.

Kagome reached out and grabbed his face with both her hands and forced him to look her in the eyes.

"No Tony. Rhodey and I are not going to leave you to. You are stuck with us. You'll never be rid of us. Now let's get you dressed and I'll make us all some breakfast. How does that sound."

Kagome said with a soothing tone. Tony nodded and moved to stand up.

"That's all well and good Kagome but, it's now lunch time." Hades stated

"So, Pancakes?" Loki asked with a hopeful gleam in his eyes which made Kagome laugh.

"Yes pancakes, and Hades it's never too late for pancakes. So why don't we all get dressed. Rhodey take Tony to his room so he can change okay I'll meet you all in the kitchen."

Kagome could feel the stares of the two God's on her as she came out of her closet, wearing a black wife beater on and blue skinny jeans.

"So, Pepper broke up with him, because she thought she was a replacement for you?"

Hade's asked as he laid back in the bed, looking at his nails. Trying not to seem to interested.

"Yes"

"So, what are you and Rhodey going to do about this? I say that you should both go after him, and see what happens."

"Hades- "

"Enough let them figure it out by themselves Hades." Loki said as he smacked the god upside the head. Kagome looked at the two and shook her head. Before leaving for the kitchen.

Jarvis must have informed the rest of the Avengers that she was making food, or they had a superhuman sense of smell, she decided. As she made another batch of pancakes. Because once she got the first batch out for the five of them the rest showed up. Wanting food.

Everyone noticed how quite Tony was but no one brought it up which Kagome was thankful for. And she knew that Tony was as well. After a few hours, they had finished and were all seated at the table still. They were tossing stories back and forth, and laughing with each other.

That was when Pepper walked in. Tony stiffened when saw her and reached under the table to grab Kagome's knee. When she felt his hand on her knee she looked up at him, and followed his glaze and saw Pepper. The other's noticed the Tony had stopped talking and looked over at him, and looked over to Pepper who was walking towards them.

Kagome noticed that Pepper looked better then Tony did and could not help but wonder if the woman was less broken up about the break up that happened less than twenty-four hours ago, than Tony was.

Pepper walked towards the group with a stack of papers in her arms and placed them in front of Tony. Seeming to Ignore the look that she was getting from Rhodey. Which caused the others to question what had happened the night before. Because as far as they knew Pepper, Rhodey and Tony had no falling out what so ever. In fact, the only one out of the normally happy bunch to see Pepper was Kagome. Who had gotten up after Pepper had placed the papers in front of Tony, and hugged the woman.

Pepper froze for a moment before hugging Kagome back. "I'm sorry" Kagome whispered in her ear which caused Pepper to tighten her grip on Kagome. After a brief moment, she pulled back and smiled at Kagome.

Turning to Tony she offered him a small smile. "I'll be back for those tomorrow all you need to do is sign them." And with that she left.

The room was silent once again. After a while Tony stood up and rushed from the room. Kagome looked over at Rhodey and motioned for him to follow Tony. Kagome sat back down and sighed.

"So, I take it that Pepper and Tony are no longer together then?" Steve asked.

"Yes, it happened early this morning."

Everyone nodded before the all decided to help Kagome clean up.

When Rhodey caught up to Tony, it was just outside the man's room. He placed his hand on Tony's shoulder and frowned when he shrugged it off. Following in Tony into the room he watched as the man paced around the a few minutes Rhodey got tired of watching him where a hole in the floor and moved to stand in front of him.

"Tone's,"

At the sound of Rhodey's voice Tony stopped and looked Rhodey in the eye. Giving his best friend a chance to see how venerable he was.

"What if she was right? What if she was a replacement?"

Rhodey's heart pounded against his chest at Tony's confession. He felt his mouth dry and pleaded to whoever was listening that the man before him would not be able to see how hopeful he was that it was true. When Tony continued without notice how Rhodey tensed for that brief moment he thanked whoever it was that listened.

"My head says that I should go after her and fight her on this, but my heart won't let me." Tony muttered. Before freezing and looked at Rhodey more intensely.. Rhodey felt himself freeze in place as he saw something that he could not place flash through Tony's eyes.

Then as if he was dreaming Tony's lips landed on his. He did not give the other man time to realize what he was doing. He moved his from Tony's shoulder to cup his face, and returned the kiss. His heart was souring when he felt the man respond. But as soon as it started, it ended. Rhodey quickly pushed away from Tony and backed away.

The look of shock on Tony's face made his chest hurt and his lungs shrink.

Tony stared at Rhodey before moving forward to reach out to him. His mouth open and closing as he tried to find something to say to calm his best friend. Seeing the look in Rhodey's eyes, made him hurt. His friend looked so hopeful but when he did not say anything. Tony noticed that the look turned to fear. And before he could reassure the man that it was okay. Rhodey ran from the room.

Tony screamed in frustration and punched the wall. Before he moved over to his dresser and pushed everything to the floor. He had ruined a friendship because he was being impulsive and stupid. He had probably ruined Rhodey's relationship with Kagome to. At this realization Tony punched the glass mirror that was in front of him before he sunk the floor. Not caring that his hand was bleeding.

Rhodey ran to the only place that he knew he was safe from being seen by the Avengers. He ran right passed them not noticed that he did so. Not hearing their calls of concern. He ran right into Kagome's room to hide.

Kagome and the other's started at Rhodey's back as he ran passed them. Kagome turned to look at Clint and Natasha before running towards Tony's room. Clint and Natasha looked at each other, both taking Kagome's look at them as a sign to go to Rhodey. And both of them walked down to Kagome's room. Leaving the others to question what was going on.

"Should we— "

Steve was cut off by Loki who was leaning on the counter staring down the hall where Kagome went.

"No leave them, Kagome has it covered."

"What about— "

Steve was again cut off by Hades this time, as he was leaning against a walk staring down the hall that Clint and Natasha had disappeared into.

"No, they have it covered."

"Okay."

When Kagome entered Tony's room she was greeted by what looked to be a war zone. Every trinket and toy that Tony had covered his dresser with was on the floor, along with broken glass, And the mirror was shattered. Staring at the mirror for a bit longer Kagome noticed blood on some of the shards which made her worry for the man.

"Tony?"

Kagome call softly in to the room as she closed the door behind her. As she crept further into the room she could hear a muffled sound of Tony sniffling. Moving closer she payed close attention to the floor to make sure she did not step on any glass. Once she was in front of him her heart broke.

Tony's hands were covering his face, but she could clearly tell that he had been crying. His hand was bleeding. Kneeling down she reached out slowly.

"Tony, what happened?"

Tony pulled his hands away from his face when he heard Kagome as him what happened. He did not have the heart to tell her. He flinched as she grabbed his hand and pulled him to his feet before moving him to the bed and pushing him to sit. She went to his on- suit bathroom to grab the first aid kit she made sure he kept there.

The two of them sat in silence as Kagome sat in between his legs as she bandaged his hand. Tony started at his hand for a moment before he spoke.

"I kissed Rhodey" His voice was quite barely above a whisper." His voice was quite barely above a whisper. If Kagome was not paying attention to him she never would have heard it.

She paused in wrapping his hand and placed it in her lap, before looking Tony in the eyes. She noted that Tony was close to crying once again, he was letting down his was, and it was killing her to know that he thought that she would hate him for kissing Rhodey.

Before Tony could speak again he was engulfed in a hug. He buried his face into Kagome's neck trying not to cry.

"Shh, Tony I don't hate you for Kissing Rhodey."

Tony pulled away from Kagome to look at her in confusion. Not understanding how his best friend could not hate him for kissing her boyfriend.

Seeing the confusion on Tony's face she could not help but give him a small smile. Tony shook off his confusion before speaking once more.

"But I'm pretty sure he hates me now. He ran away before I could say anything. I kissed him. And I caused him to run away."

Tony fell the tears in his eyes and cursed himself. He did not want to cry felt Kagome's hands on his face and he focused his eyes on her.

"Rhodey doesn't hate you for kissing him Tony. If anything, he's afraid that you hate him now. I don't hate you for kissing Rhodey if anything I'm a little upset that he got to kiss you and I didn't. We don't hate you. We could never hate you Tony."

Tony nodded at her. Before freezing. "What…you…me…kiss."

Kagome laughed at him before leaning in to kiss him as. Not giving time for the man to respond before she pulled at and smiled at him. "There now it's fair. You kissed him. I kissed you. Now no more kissing anyone until you talk to Rhodey, and work out your feeling's alright?"

Tony tried to answer but every time he tried he could not find the words. Instead he nodded and pulled her into a hug.

When Natasha and Clint entered Kagome's room the noticed Rhodey sitting in the middle of the couch. With his head in his hands. Clint moved to the man while Natasha closed the door and moved to look through Kagome's closet. A plan already forming in her mind on how to get the three together. Smirking she knew that Clint and Hades would help, and she knew that Loki help to.

Clint started at Natasha for a brief moment before he caught her eye. Seeing her eyes sparking with mischief, he shook his head knowing that he was going to be pulled into whatever it was that she was plaining.

Clint sat beside the man and placed a hand on his shoulder casing the man to look at him. "What happened?"

Rhodey gave a sigh before answering. "he kissed me."

He heard something drop behind him. Turning to look he saw Natasha with an amused look on her face. Turning around to face Clint he raised a brow at the man, who just shrugged in return. Knowing that the news that Tony had kissed Rhodey, made her plan a little easier for everyone. It also meant that she was less likely to lock them in a broom closet until they all kissed.

"And that's why you ran?" Clint wondered, part of him fishing for information to help Natasha with her plan the other half concerned for his new-found friend. Rhodey shook his head. "No, I ran because I kissed him back and, when I pulled away he didn't say or do anything other than looking shocked. So, I ran…. Kagome's with him, now isn't she?"

Rhodey looked over at Clint who nodded his head. Before turning to look at Natasha who was digging through Kagome's closet like she was digging for gold. "Natasha what are you doing?"

"It's Nat and Kagome mentioned that I could borrow one of her dresses so I'm looking through them."

Rhodey nodded before looking back around and staring at the ground. Clint sat there silent for moment amused that Rhodey took Natasha's excuse did not question it. "So, what are you going to do."

"Avoid him for now."

Clint flinched and looked back over at Natasha who was staring over at them which a sly grin on her face. Clint sighed and felt bad for Rhodey. Natasha was so going to lock Tony and him in a broom closet then throw Kagome in there when they made up.

Rhodey who was still starting at the ground missed the look that Natasha and Clint were giving him.
