IRREVOCABLE
(adj.) not able to be revoked, changed, or undone; unalterable

The next few days were touch and go, but thankfully Jason's condition started to stabilize. Elizabeth spent very little time away from his bedside, leaving only when absolutely necessary, refusing to not be there when he wakes up. The Quartermaines have reached out to her through Emily, assuring her that they will honor Jason's wishes, but thankful that Emily will be able to update them whenever possible. Being the chief of staff at the hospital, Alan took it a step further by placing security outside of Jason's room, ensuring that only those authorized would be able to get into the room. Even if it meant that they couldn't. Though she knows that his relationship with his family is strained at best, it was heart warming to see them rally around him like this, wishing that her family could be so loving as they have proven themselves to be.

"Elizabeth..." the soft whisper of her name pulls her attention to her husband as he tries to open his eyes, feeling her hand in his.

"Hey," she says softly, letting out a breath of relief when his eyes open to focus on her. "I'm right here."

"You came back," he voices as his eyes meet hers, realizing that she came all this way to be by his side. "You're not safe here..."

"I've been well guarded, trust me," she assures him. "Besides, it's kind of your fault that I'm here, you know? No one told you to run into a burning building and put your life at risk."

"Sonny was stuck inside," he explains. "I couldn't leave him there to die."

"I know," she whispers, showing that she truly understood. "Just like I couldn't stay in Italy knowing you're hurt and your condition was undetermined. We both did what needed to be done. Are you mad?"

"No," he replies with a slight shake of his head. "I'm not mad."

"Good because if anyone should be mad it's me," Elizabeth says seriously. "You scared the life out of me. You're not supposed to get hurt when we're that far apart, Jason."

"I'm sorry," he whispers, seeing just how scared she truly was. "I never wanted you scared."

"It's okay," she replies after a long moment. "You're okay and that's all that matters."

"Did you get my letter?" he questions, wanting to get off the topic of the fire, knowing the pain that topic holds for her. "I sent it about a week ago."

"I got it right before I got the news about the fire," Elizabeth explains, carefully pulling it out of her pocket to show it to him. "It's not fair, you know, saying it like that. You were supposed to wait."

"I couldn't wait anymore," Jason says honestly, meeting her eyes, trying to show her just how deeply he feels for her. "I needed you to know. Even if it was only in writing."

"Yeah, well, now you can tell me out loud," she says as she takes his hand back in hers. "Now that we're finally together."

"Come here," he says as he moves to the side, making room for her on the bed, reaching up one hand to hold the side of her neck once she's within reaching distance. "I love you, Elizabeth Morgan."

"I love you, Jason Morgan," Elizabeth replies with her whole heart. "With all that I am. Today, tomorrow, forever."

Using his hold on her, Jason pulls her into a deep, sensual kiss, pouring his entire heart into this loving embrace. The day he came up with this plan to marry Elizabeth, he never could have imagined this is where they'd end up, never once believing that they'd end up in love. Being there with her right then, feeling all that he's feeling in that moment, he couldn't be more thankful. Whatever brought them to this moment, however they found their way to each other like this, Jason will not take it for granted.

"Marry me," he whispers as they pull away, catching her by surprise.

"Um..." Elizabeth looks at him confusedly. "We're already married."

"I know," he laughs softly with a shake of his head. "I was there."

"Okay, rude," Elizabeth nudges him slightly. "What did you mean then?"

"I mean, I love you," Jason explains as best as he can. "And I want us to be married for what's real...so, will you, Elizabeth Morgan, marry me again?"

"Of course," she whispers, tears welling up in her eyes as she realizes just what he's getting at. "Anytime. Anywhere. Name it and I'm there."

"Here, now," Jason says after some thought. "Just us."

"Okay," she whispers with a soft smile upon her face. "But not just yet."

"Where are you going?" Jason questions her as she starts walking to the door.

"Trust me?"

"Always."

"Trust me now," Elizabeth says softly with a smile on her lips. "I'll be right back."

Meeting her eyes for a long moment, Jason gives her a single nod before relaxing back into the bed as she makes her way out of the room. As much as he hates hospitals, he can't help but be thankful to be laying in one now as opposed to the alternative. From the moment the warehouse started to collapse around them, Jason's only prayer was to get out of there in one piece and back to his wife. He just couldn't bare the thought of her losing someone else to a fire. Not after what happened when she thought she lost Lucky to the bike shop fire. He just couldn't bare to do that to her. So he prayed and he prayed to whoever was listening, begging for them to get him out of that place in one piece. Now, laying in that hospital bed, he's never been more thankful.

Elizabeth waits patiently as Francis makes his way to the SUV, bringing up her luggage as requested, needing this moment to be perfect. Thanking him for making the venture, Elizabeth sifts through her luggage to get her wedding dress before making her way into the closest bathroom to get changed. Staring at her face in the mirror, she takes a deep breath, doing her best to make herself look as good as she can manage with what little she has on her. Stepping out of the bathroom, she can't help the smile on her face when Francis holds out a small bouquet of flowers, obviously realizing what was happening.

"Its not much, but it's all I could get from the gift shop," Francis explains, handing over the flowers to her. "You look beautiful."

"Thank you," Elizabeth says, leaning in to hug him for a long moment before pulling away. "These are perfect."

Taking in a couple deep breaths, Elizabeth holds her head up high as she makes her way back to her husband, her heart aflutter knowing that this wasn't going to be like last time. Though their wedding had meant a lot to her, she knows that this will be much more to both of them, that this was real and that it truly is forever this time. The moment she stepped foot into the room, Elizabeth couldn't help the tears that welled up in her eyes at the sight of Jason standing up waiting for her, the lights dimmed around them.

"You dress up nice," Elizabeth says softly, seeing that he had the nurse detach the monitors and IV long enough for him to get his jacket on. "Jacket's a nice touch."

"You're so beautiful," he replies as he takes her free hand into both of his. "Ready?"

"More than you know," she admits, placing the flowers down on the bed before sliding her hand into his. "I love you."

"I love you," he whispers, kissing her gently before taking a deep breath. "Elizabeth Imogene Morgan, you are my entire world, the only person whose existence directly affects mine. For as long as I've been alive, I have never felt anything like what I feel for you, I have never known the meaning of becoming one with someone until you. Today, I stand before you, not knowing where I end and where you begin. You are as much a part of me as I am of myself. And in a world where nothing is certain, I promise you now, I swear to you, that I will always be your home. With me, you will never have to wonder where you stand because you will always know. You are my partner in life and in all things that truly matter. For better or worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, now and forever."

"Jason Morgan, you are my god given solace, my safe haven in this crazy world," Elizabeth says as the tears begin to fall down her cheeks, her heart so filled with love that it's bursting at the seams. "Standing here before you now, it feels as if I have spent my whole life in daze, searching for something just out of reach, and then you walked into my life and everything fell right into place. My whole world has come into focus. Words just don't seem to truly amount to the love I feel for you. I could stand here and tell you a million different ways, but it would never truly feel like enough because there's just no way to measure it. No way to describe it. And in a world where nothing is certain, I promise you now, I swear to you, that I will always be your home. With me, you will never have to wonder where you stand because you will always know. You are my partner in life and in all things that truly matter. For better or worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, forsaking all others. Now. Forever. I love you."

"I love you," he says with his whole heart. "God, how I love you."

It was slow, but it was deep, holding the full force of emotions behind this moment, in a sweet, sensual kiss. As they hold each other close, they make a resounding statement to each other against all others, it is them above all others. No one comes above their family. From this moment on, they are a family and they will do whatever it takes to protect each other no matter what comes their way. Pulling away, Elizabeth helps him back into bed, climbing in right beside him, allowing them to let the moment truly settle over them. This is where they truly begin. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan. Now and forever.
