Professor McGonagall had been the only teacher I trusted fully. She knew about my homelessness. She even knew what happened to me in the four months before I had met Scott. She blamed Dumbledore more than she blamed the Dursley's.

She could forgive the Dursley's easy enough because she knew their actions and habits. She knew they hated me from the start. But she expected better from the headmaster.

So McGonagall did everything in her power to help me. She even helped me find Scott. And have Scott apologize to me. And because I had the mutant power telepathy, I stayed at Xavier's institute when I wasn't at Hogwarts.

Professor McGonagall was the one one I could not lie to in Hogwarts. She saw right through them.

Years had passed since Harry and Scott had met. Since the last time Harry was hit. In that time, Scott had come into his mutant powers. Lasers shot out of Scott's eyes and he could not control them.

Only Scott closing his eyes everything was fine. Harry had learned to control his own powers. Harry had learned Scott's last name was Summers.

One day when Harry had went to get something to eat from the nearby McDonald's, Scott had been approached by some people. They said that they were from a mutant school. And having no choice but to go, Scott left behind a note to Harry saying he was better off. And not giving anything about where he was going.

Inside Scott hoped that professor Xavier would come back for Harry. Seeing as Harry had telepathy. But when Scott asked, Charles said that cerebro had said Harry had different powers then what he could help with. So Charles contacted his cousin Minerva.

What Charles didn't know was Scott knew everything. Scott knew that Harry's magic was confusing Cerebro. He tried talking to Harry mentally with the connection, but he discovered that Harry had blocked him out. Blocked him from entering his mind and talking. And Scott understood that. But that didn't stop Scott from trying everyday.

Both Jean and Charles both heard Scott talking in his mind. They also saw that Scott had a connection with a telepath that was not either of them. This made Charles think. Maybe Harry does have a mutant power.

..

..

Soon after reading the note, Harry closed his mind off to Scott. Not talking to him for a long time. Harry felt a probing in his mind after a while. Harry knew it was Scott. He was still mad at the sixteen year old for abandoning him like that.

Harry thought Scott was different from the others. One morning, about a week after Scott had left, Harry felt someone poke at his shoulder. Harry woke up to tell the person where to shove it.

"Are you Harry Potter?" A woman with a Scottish accent asked when Harry woke up

"Yeah, I am. Who the hell are you?" Harry asked groggily

Harry had picked up some bad language from his time on the streets. He also dropped his British accent opting for an American one. He claimed that he needed to fit in with his surroundings. Harry still felt that probing in the back of his mind from Scott but he ignored it.

He was tempted to open the connection up to tell Scott to F* off and to get out of his head. But he loved that Scott still cared about him and tried to talk.

"I'm Professor Minerva McGonagall. I am here to show you magic and take you school shopping." McGonagall said

She was not bothered by Harry's new vocabulary after all Minerva had been a teacher for some time. She had heard it all. Even from James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew when they were younger. Sirius and James thought it was cool to curse in front of the guys.

Harry woken up fully. He looked to the teacher in front of him. He had already known of magic. One day while Scott and Harry were thinking of how to get a couple of cheeseburgers with little money a wizard recognized Harry and explained everything to him and Scott.

Harry and Scott both got laptops. They had done online school. Both boys excelled at English class. Scott wanted to be a English teacher one day. Harry just liked the writing.

Harry even got a tent that was bigger on the inside but looked normal outside that day. That's where he was now with the professor. And she was impressed with the tent. She asked about it. Harry explained everything to the woman in front of him.

"Professor, I already know of magic. A American wizard explained everything." Harry said

"Well that makes my job whole lot easier." McGonagall said

She helped Harry take down his tent fully. Professor McGonagall took Harry back to England. She explained that England's wizard community was very different from America's wizard community. That if Dumbledore or anybody in his circle saw his laptop, the thing would be taken away an destroyed.

Harry knew what to do. He knew what to do to protect his possessions. To keep his Netflix and music. When Harry got his trunk, he also got a briefcase with a workshop inside.

(A/N: think of Newt Scamander's case in the fantastic beasts movie.)

When Harry gotten all of his supplies Minerva left him, saying that she will pick him up in a weeks time so he could get to the train. Now Harry's plan was in action. Minerva had said that she didn't really conformable shopping in the muggle world. Walking around in it was one thing.

So Harry had to do that by himself. From the muggle world, Harry needed sharpie pens, highlighters, erasers, pencil sharpener, lots of pencils, ballpoint pens, a pencil pouch, notebooks, a calculator, graph paper, normal paper, folders, a protractor, and posted notes.

And some of the items Minerva said would help with Hogwarts. Like the notebooks and pencils for note taking. She said most of the teachers will allow muggle stuff for note taking and that type of thing. Just not Snape. He is a traditionalist.

When Harry returned to the Leaky Cauldron he was tired. He went to his room and went to sleep. Harry had decided to put all his things away in the morning.

..

..

"I'm so sorry." Harry said

He had just bumped into someone. While here Harry was trying not to get a British accent again. It had brought memories that were not all that good.

"It's fine. I'm Hermione Granger." Hermione said

"I'm Harry Potter." Harry said

"Oh I'm reading about you now." Hermione said

"That book is full of lies Hermione. You should burn it now." Harry said

Harry had read it that morning and was disgusted with it. He couldn't believe all the lies that were in it.

"Why do you say it's full of lies?" Hermione asked

"It says I lived well. Had everything served to me on a silver platter. Had servants that did everything that I told. Well I didn't live like that. I was treated like a slave at my aunt and uncles house. And I ran away from it. I lived on the streets for years with the only person I ever trusted." Harry explained

Hermione was shocked. The boy the book described did not exist. The boy that did exist was cold hearted and knew how bad the world was. She saw in Harry's eyes that he had been betrayed many times before he was even ten years old.

She saw in his eyes a boy who wanted isolation. A boy who just wanted people to love him. She saw in Harry's eyes that he was just like her.

Hermione threw the book in the trash. She knew now not to believe everything that she read.

In the Leaky Cauldron Harry noticed that Professor McGonagall, when she came with the Grangers, had said that the phone Hermione's parents purchased for her wouldn't work. But she directed them to Harry who had a book on electronics charms.

Harry happily charmed the phone for Hermione.

After a week, Harry was finally ready. He done all of his research. He even illegally brought in the banned Hogwarts: A History book America sells. It's was banned in Britain because of how much information was in it.

Harry liked this one because it was written by a Slytherin who explained all of the rules and how not to get caught. Harry also bought Ilvermorny: A History too. And unlike Britain, America doesn't ban books because they have more information then normal. They actually try and get kids to buy the books with more info.

Hermione became a good friend. She kept the fact that Harry was homeless to herself. Not even telling her parents. She was told that Professor McGonagall was doing something about it.
