Adamglambertlover- I honestly forgot about Nico! *goes off and cries in the corner* Hmm… I will have to add him in the story somehow
MeganAnnabethJackson- A Psychologist is a person who studies the human brain and behavior, and helps people with mental problems and offers therapy. In this story's case, he is like a therapist. Also, thank you for all your wonderful ideas! I might use a couple if that's ok We shall see!

Chapter 3
Annabeth POV
After thanking Dr. Wright for his hospitality, I pulled Percy into "my" room. It was a simple hospital room. A bed, a dresser, a bathroom. There was also a window on the far wall, which I was happily surprised by. One more escape route in an emergency. Percy and I sat down on the bed, and I leaned my head on his shoulder.
"Well, wasn't that bad, was it?" I sighed.
Percy grunted. "I don't like it. How do we know we can trust that guy? He doesn't seem like a monster or a weird psycho person that will want to rip us to shreds. But that's another thing. I don't want to drag another mortal into all this. I don't want anyone else to get hurt…"
He trailed off, and I looked up at him. His eyes were sad. His eyebrows were scrunched and his lips pulled into a frown. I understood his reasoning though. Percy feels like he has too many people to protect already.
"Percy, the god's know what they are doing. They trust this man, so we can trust him too. I hope. Let's just play this by ear. We have to come up with a story though. No doubt we have to tell him something soon."
"Fine." Percy flopped down and laid down on the bed, almost squashing my arm. "Uhh… we can tell him that we got lost when we were kids, ran all over the world and saw some scary stuff?" He grinned that wonderful, adorable, contagious lopsided grin of his.
I laughed. "No, Seaweed Brain. That's just… stupid. Plain stupid. We'll say that we were caught up with some violent gang, or drafted in the military or something. That we saw a lot of violence, experienced pain… and watched a lot of brothers and sisters die…"
My voiced cracked, and I couldn't speak for a moment. "I-I don't know… I will think of something by the next session. Just let me talk, you're gonna mess it up" I tried to laugh, but it came out more like 'ha. Ha ha.' Kinda like when a –you know what, nevermind. Stupid ADHD.
Percy sat up suddenly, and grabbed my hand. "C'mon, let's get out of here and explore."
We walked out of the room and looked around the wing. There was a small living-room like area, furnished with couches, bookshelves, an air-hockey table and some toys for small children. A few 10-13 year olds were playing cards on a couch. One kid had an oxygen tank, and another was in a wheelchair. We didn't feel like talking to them, so we didn't. I guess this hospital deals with mental illnesses as well as physical. At the other end of the floor was a small cafeteria. Like a school lunch room, but smaller. Not much activity going on there. As we walked down the halls, Percy kept pointing to silly paintings on the walls, and commenting on how 'boring' everything looked and how they should paint all the walls blue. I guess after living at Camp for such a long time, being on a giant warship and fighting in ancient coliseums, everything else would seem extremely mundane. I, on the other hand, was thinking about our 'session' with Dr. Wright. He was younger, around his 30s, and seemed very nice. He asked typical questions and I liked that he didn't push us to tell everything. Standard procedure, I guess. Can't wait until our next session to size him up some more. After seeing every door, window and potted plant on our floor, we headed back to my room and slept on my bed until dinner.

Dinner was announced over the loud speaker, effectively waking me and Percy up and in defensive positions. Percy with Riptide poised over his ever present bed head, and me with my bone dagger in hand. You think they could took our weapons? Ha. Not a chance. Ugh. No need to be so jumpy Annabeth. I mentally scolded myself. I sheathed my weapon by my side, and Percy sheepishly recapped Riptide.
"Uh, you hungry?" He asked.
"Let's go."
Dinner was okay for hospital food. Lasagna tonight. Percy, as always, ate like a Crommyonian Sow, while I only ate half on mine. I guess my stomach shrunk from the scarce food in Tartarus. I was stuffed.
"C'mon Annabeth." Percy whined. "You have to eat more than that." He smiled mischievously with a twinkle in his eye. He put some food on my fork and brought it towards my mouth. "Say ah! Airplane's coming in for a landing!" He said in a babyish voice.
I laughed and pushed his hand away. "Percy! Not funny!" I punched him in the arm. He winced in fake agony. "Seriously, Perce, I'm full. Promise."
He shrugged. "Only if you say so." He took my remaining food off my plate and scarfed it down.
"Gross. How are you not fat?"
"Practice. Lots and lots of practice." He smiled and came close of a kiss. Unfortunately for him, he had sauce on his chin, so no kiss for him this time!
"C'mon Percy, I am not even holding your hand until you clean up. Let's go to your room this time."

Percy's room was the same. Bed. Dresser. Bathroom. Window. The best part was that it was only across the hall from mine. While Percy went to the bathroom, I plopped on the bed and stared out the window. There was a big oak tree right in front of it, so I couldn't really see anything interesting. Boredom easily conquering my patience, I started pacing the room. How long can he take in there? My mind started wandering without my permission. What if there was a monster in there? Is he okay? Maybe I should check. Suddenly I snapped out of it my banging my head against the wall… which I walked into. The bathroom door flung open, and Percy barreled out.
"You okay? Sounded like a Hippo just crashed through the wall?"
I turned around and rubbed my head "I'm fine. Wait, did you just call me a hippo?"
His face turned red, "N-no! Nope! You are not a hippo, you are a beautiful, skinny-"
I grinned, "I'm kidding. Although please, you may continue."
"Gorgeous, talented, smart-"
He was interrupted by a knock on the door. A nurse popped her head in, "Lights out, please. Please go to your own rooms now."
Percy grabbed my hands and squeezed them. "Don't go Annabeth. Please."
I hugged him. "It's just for the night. Like at camp. It will be fine. Besides, we are less than 20 feet away. If anything happens to either of us, we'll know."
"I know. I love you Wise Girl."
"Love you too."
We kissed for a moment, and I breathed in his wonderful fresh ocean scent. He walked me to my door, and we said goodnight.
Author's note:
Well, kinda lame chapter this time. I originally had more planned for this chapter, but that seemed like a good ending point, so there we go. Sorry if it feels like a filler.
I might not update this in a while. Spring Break is here and I am the lead director for a Horseback Riding Camp! So excited! But I will be extremely exhausted all week and will not be able to write much. Hopefully I will get a chapter done soon after Spring Break though. So have a happy Spring Break and St. Patrick's Day!
Song of the Chapter!
This chapter's song is "We are Brave" by Shawn McDonald. I really like the lyrics of this one, I think it applies to our demigod's so well! Please go check it out and watch a lyric video!
(I do not own this song!)
Thanks once again for all the follows, favorites and reviews! You guys are awesome
