Chapter 5:
A/N: Sorry everyone that it has taken me so long to update. I have had a lot going on in my life. With the passing of my dad couple of months ago, trying to get everything ready for me and my husband so we can move. I have not forgot about all of you. I just had to get my life back on track. Which trust me I have. Please remember I don't own Sailor Moon or any of the character's or any of the song's I have used in this chapter and precise one's. All I own is the story line. So without further ado here is the next chapter. Enjoy...
Walking into her room over to her closet to find something to wear. Looking threw everything she pulls out a white summer dress. Then looking for a pair of shoes to go with it. She finds wbpwir of sandles that are white that straps over the top and around the heel of her feet. Happy with what she has chosen she lets her hair down to get in the shower. Once she's done. Walk's back into her room to find a neckless to where. " I would wear this one. If it was me." Not hearing Ryi come in her room. Serena looked at the one Ryi was holding. It was a white choker with a cresent Moon with a red rose. " Thank you, Ryi. Would you mind helping me out it on?" Serena asked.
"Sure." Ryi answered. " Would you like some help with brushing and putting up your hair." Asked Ryi.
"Sure." She answered with a smile. " And we don't have to put it up in my normal hair style. You can do something different today. If you like." Serena told her. As Ryi helped brush outbher hair. Trying to figure out what she was going to so with her hair. " How long has it been since someone has frensh braided you hair, Serena? " Asked Ryi.
"When I was about 13. My mom was the last one too. Why?" Asked Serena.
"Was thinking about putting your hair up that way. And maybe even adding some ribbon with it. Do you have a hair pin that would go with your neckless?" Asked Ryi.
"Yes. My mom found a hair pin that goes with it. What color of ribbon are you thinking about using?" Answered Serena.
"I was thinking white. To go with the color of your dress and neckless. And it will also stand out in your golden hair. Do you have any by chance?" Answered Ryi.
"Yes. In my sewing kit I'm the living room next to my entertainment center. I could go and get it for you." Asked Serena.
"No. I'll be right back." She told Serena. As she walked out to the living room right where Serena had told her where it would be. Getting weird looks from the girls as she pulled out the white ribbon. " I'm going to use some in Serena's hair." Answering the girls unasked question. " Do you need any help? Asked Mina.
"I don't think so. But you can hang out while I work on Serena's you want to." Ryi told her.
"OK." She said as she got up and walked behind Ryi to Serena's room. As they walked into Serena's room. "What do you plan on doing with the ribbon and Serena's hair." Mina asked. As Ryi measured out three long pieces of the ribbon. "I plan on frensh braiding her hair with the ribbon in it. Serena, Do you have a lighter? So I can melt one end of the three pieces together. So your hair pin can hold it in place while I braid you hair." Asked Ryi.
Serena started to open her vanity drawer and pulled out her lighter she uses to lighter candles with. Handing it to Ryi. Watching her threw her mirrior on the vanity melt the three pieces together. Handing the lighter back to her. Ryi asked for the hair pin and started working on pining the ribbon's with Serena's hair pin. Them Ryi started working her hair into a frensh braid. About 20 minutes later Ryi finished and asked for a a hair tie. Serena handed her a white one. After putting it in her hair. Ryi pulled the end of the braid over Serena's shoulder so she could see it looked like.
"Thank you, Ryi. I love it." Serena told her.
"Your welcome. It was nothing really." Ryi told her as they walked out of her room into the living room where the other two girl's had been waiting for them. Lita and Ami looked up and seen them walking in.
"Are we ready?" Asked Lita.
"Yeah. I just have to grab my purse first." Serena said to them.
"OK." Lita answered as they all head to the door.
As they started walking to the mall. That was only couple of blocks from Serena's place. Serena wonder what Darien was doing. So she pulled her phone out of her purse. And opened the text between her and Darien. 'What are you doing?' Sent him. Them put her phone back in her purse. Listening to what the girl's where talking about what they where going to do when they got to the mall. Serena heard her phone ring. Pulling out out her phone seeing that she had a new text from Darien.
'Nothing much. Just got done getting cleaned up. Thinking about heading to the book store to pick up a new book to read. And maybe stopping by to see Andrew. Yourself?'
'Just heading to the mall with the girl's. I may pick up a new dress. But I am not sure yet. Lol. I did want to tell you, I had fun last night.' She answered back. Then putting her phone back in her purse. Noticing that the girl's had stopped talking and where giggling.
"What?" She asked.
"Nothing. But we have a good idea who is texting you. Answered Lita with a big smile on her face.
Serena started to blush. "And who do you think it is?" She asked with a small smile herself.
"Well, it's not one of us. So the other person it could be is maybe Andrew or its Darien..." Mina said all girly.
"It's not the first one." Serena told them as her phone rang again. Pulling it out again reading,
'That makes two of us. I hope this doesn't scare you. But I do have to be honest with you about something.'
'Ok?' She replied. Them out her phone back in her purse.
"So... What are you two talking about?" Asked Ami.
"Oh on. Not you to Ami." Serena said.
"Yes. We have not see you like this since high school. And all we want is for you to be happy. And trust me when I say as us girl's have already told him if he breaks your heart. That we will break him." Answered Ami. As Lita was cracking her nuckles.
"I see." She said as her phone rang again.
Reading Darien's text, ' I enjoyed waking up next to you this morning. I kinda hope there are more morning's like that to come. You are beautiful while you sleep. Even more when you are awake. You remind me of an angel when you are asleep. And even more when you awake. I really hope this doesn't scare you away.'
'Not at all. It's been a long time since someone as anything so sweet to me. It feels good to know that I am still attractive. I agree with you about this morning. I really enjoyed waking up to such a handsome gentlemen. But I don't want to move things to fast. If that's ok? ' She answered back as her and the girl's walked into the mall.
Darien desided he was going to stop by the arcade for a bit to kill some time. And also to see his best friend Andrew.
"Hey, Andrew." Darien said as he walked in and sat on one of the stool's at the counter.
" Hey Dar. Normal?" He asked.
"Yes, please. You know me to well." He said as Andrew put his cip in front of him.
"We have been friends for to long. How have you been these last couple of days? Since I have not seen much of you." Andrew asked.
"Good. Been spending a lot of time getting to know Serena more." Darien answered as his phone rang. Reading what she said. 'Your welcome, beautiful. And any man that cannot see how beautiful an attractive women you are, is blind. We will move as fast as you want too. I understand on taking it slow. I don't ever want to make you feel uncomfortable with me. And if things do start making you feel uncomfortable. Please let me know. So I don't let it happen again. Cause I don't want to scare you away. Because I have to be honest I like you alot.' He set his phone next to his cup. Then looking up to see Andrew watching him and that he has a big grin on his face.
"What?" Asked Darien.
"Oh, nothing. I'm taking it that's Serena texting you?" He asked.
"Yes. If you must know." He said with a smile.
"I see." Andrew said. Walking over to help another customer. As Darien's phone rang.
'Thank you. And I will let know. From what the girl's have said we should be at the park around one for lunch. Then we can figure what to do from there.'
'Ok. I'll be there. Where in the park are we all meeting up at?' He answered her.
"So... What are you plans for thisafternoon?" Asked Andrew.
"We are all meeting up at the park for lunch. After lunch I am not to sure of yet." Answered Darien.
" I see." Andrew said as Darien's phone went off again.
Darien picked his phone.
'At the ziebo next to the lake. I pick you up something. I seen it and thought of you. I hope you don't mind that I did.'
'Ok. I will be there. You didn't have to. O cannot wait to see you this afternoon.' He replyed to her. Placing his phone back on the counter next to his cup of coffee.
Back at the mall the girls walked into Deb's. Serena seen couple of dress and swimsuits she wanted to try on. Asbshebstarted walking back of the store to the dressing rooms. The girl's noticed that Serena had the samebglow whem they where back in high school when she was with Seiya. Knowing it had nothing to do with him. It's all because of Darien. The girl's hoped she can open her heart completely to him. And he could heal Serena's broken heart.
"So... Serena. How are things going with you and Darien?" Asked Ryi.
"Good. I'm still alittle scared to let him completely in my heart. I don't think I could handle my heart being broken again." Answered Serena as her phone went off again.
'I know. And that makes two of us.' She answered. Putting her phone away again. Looked up to see her beat friend's watching her with grins on their faces.
"What? She asked them again.
" Serena, sweetheart. We have not seen you this happy and flowing like you are in a long time. Are you sure you are not starting to fall for Darien already?" Asked Mina.
"No." She answered Mina.
"Are you sure sure, honey?" Asked Lita.
"Yes." Shebasnwered as she started to walk into one of the dressing rooms to try on some idea's she picked up. Softly singing to herself,
"If there is a prize for rotten judgment,
I guess I've already won that,
No man is worth the aggravation,
That's ancient history- been there, done that!"
Walking back out to see if there is anything else shewants to try on in this store. The girl's softly singing while watching Serena look around,
"Who'd'ya think you're kiddin,
He's the earth and heaven to you,
Try to keep it hidden,
Honey, we can see right through you."
Finding a couple more items, then heading back to the dressing room's Serena, "Oh, no"
"Girl, you can't concel it,
We know how ya feel and,
Who're your thinking of."
Serena choosing what she wanted and walked up to the front of the store to pay for them.
"Oh, no"
"No chance, no way
I won't say it, no, no"
Then she walked over to Hot Topic to see what they have ii nn the store. The girl's followed her in.
"You swoon, you sign
Why demy it, uh-oh!"
Waking around the store Serena looked couple of shirt's.
"It's to cliche
I won't say I'm in love"
Picking them up walking over to pay for them. The girl's "ooo". As she walked out to just walk around the mall alittle more. Looking and watching other couples;
" I thought my heart had learned its lesson
It feels so good when you start out
My head is screaming get a grib, girl
Unless your dying to cry your heart out, Oh"
Ryi and Mina linked their arms with Serena's as they walked around the mall. To see if there is any other stores they want to visit. Ryi pulled them into a flower shop to look at all the flowers. The shop owner handed all four of the girl's a white rose. But he handed Serena a red one. She looked at the rose and the first person that came to her mind was Darien. And all she could think of was him standing there smiling at her.
"You keep on denying
Who you are and how your feeling
Baby, we're not buying
Hon, we saw ya hit the ceiling"
Serena "Oh, no" Smiles at the shop owner. As she runs the rose petals across her lips and remembering her's and Darien's first kiss they shared. How his lips where as soft as the rose petals.
"Face it like a grown up
When are you going to own up
That you got, got, got it bad"
Serena "Oh. No chance, no way
I won't say it, no, no"
As they walked out of the flower shop.
"Give up, give in"
"Check the grin you're in love" Ami said to her from behind.
Walking into the next store together. To find a place to get something else. Walked into a clock shop. And Serena see a star shape watch that deiplaced a sense with a Moon and stars. Then the sence chaced to sun and clouds. And it played a soft melody. She looked at it and the first person she thought of when she seen it was Darien.
"This scene won't play
I won't say I'm in love"
Girl's, "You're doin flips
Read our lips
You're in love
No, she won't say it"
As the girl's looked at her them to each other. As Serena unlinked her arms with Ryi and Mina. Started to walk few steps in front of the group.
"You're way off base
I won't say it
Get off my case
I won't say it"
Looking at herself in one of the windows at a store. Seeing an older couple enjoying some time together.
"Girl, don't be proud
It's ok, you're in love"
Walking out of the mall with everything they bought and stuff they need for lunch and head for the park. Where they are meeting with the guys. And get things set up. Serena sat down softly after helping the girl's with everything. On one of the benches watching Darien and the guys coming.
"Oh...
At least out loud
I won't say I'm in love" Serena signed as she seen Darien coming up the path.
"Sha la la la la, Ahhh."
"How was shopping?" Darien asked as he sat down next to Serena and handing her a single red rose. Taking the rose after she pulled out a gold box to hand to Darien.
"Good." She answered him. Watching him open the box to see the star locket watch she picked up for him. He opened it and seem the moon and stars. Then as the melody played and watched the time tick the sence changed to a sun and clouds.
"I love it. Thank you." He told her as he kissed her on the check.
"Your welcome." She said as she blushed.
Everyone was sitting down enjoying lunch together. Ryi pulled her portable speaker and her mp3 out turned them on and just let her play list play. Listening to the music and humming or singing little part at time. Serena got up to throw away her plate. She started to walk back to where her and Darien had been sitting. Noticing that 'Cupid Shuffle' has come on. And she slowly started to dance her the rest of the way to Darien. Just when she was about to him. He had gotin up to throw his own plate way. Then taking her hand and move out of the ziebo so they had more room to move. They start doing the dance together. They both slowly seen the rest of the group and se other people that where close by dancing with them. Darien could not but help watch Serena dance so care free to the song out of the corner of his eye. When he was not behind her. Enjoying dancing with her and all of their friends. They had been listening to the lyrics and getting into the music. They didn't notice that they had people taking pictures and videos of the big group danximg and just having fun being out side with friends and love ones.
As the song came to an end the ones that had just be standing and watching the big group. Started to clap. Everyone that had been dancing had taken a bow. The group of five couples had walked back to where they had been waiting their lunch.
As Serena sat back down where her and Darien had been sitting before. "That was fun." She said with a big smile and little giggles.
"That it was" Darien said to her. "We will have to do that more often." He said smiling and laughing himseld.
Everyone else was watching Darien and Serena talk and laugh with each other. Noticing how comfortable they have come with each other. They all noticed how Darien has been holding himself. Expertly around Serena. It's like they where seeing the old Darien again. Which they all missed. Everyone also started to notice an different side to the couple that was not there before. They have never seen they so relaxed. Like they are now. Everyone wishes they had introduced them to each other sooner them they did.
