Chapter 93
Oh dear, Meiko
Questions.
For Meiko Mochizuki, those were the things currently on her mind at the moment. It was stuff like:
Why did TK have guns?
When did Kari (well, she thought that was Kari) become a furry on top of a lesbian of all things?
Why was there some black-haired girl that kind of looked like her but didn't?
But the biggest question of all of them...
Who was that blue-haired kid that looked ready to have a nervous breakdown?
Oh. And Meicoomon was here as well. Because of course she was.
"Mei!" the cat digimon announced, trying their best to cheer up the skittish girl. Considering what was to come for our questionable feline digimon thing, it didn't work so well. Meiko did appreciate the gesture though.
So for the moment, she decided to just sit down and take in the sights. While the snow hadn't quite fallen on this supposed 'summer camp', it was still something to behold.
"Let's get to the bottom of this." the chosen told herself and carefully picked Meicoomon up, getting back on her feet. But who to start with, exactly?
On one hand, there was checking in with Tai. He was bound to have some answers. But judging by the fact that she couldn't find Tai and that nearly everyone she asked had no clue what she was talking.
There was also that black-haired girl. In between loitering around Kari, she was going about talking to people. There was a sense of royalty to her. The sort you expect out of a princess or maybe even, a queen. Add in that violet lolita dress with all those petticoats, how was she supposed to even fight? Maybe very carefully? That had to be it.
"To answer your question, the dress is a part of my body." a voice explained and our heroine fell down on her bum. Which was the perfect opportunity to look her visitor over.
Having made reference to her, it was the black-haired girl. True to form, she was dressed in her violet lolita dress. Two lavender-colored petticoats poked their poof out to provide some level of contrast. Stockings had snaked up her legs and led into a pair of violet high heels. She had forgone gloves for this occasion, which made her butterfly swords even more clear.
The paired blades had seen better days, but were more than ready to finish what was started.
Which brings us to the face.
Those same pair of violet eyes, those same violet lips. All of it leading into what looked to be a ponytail. If you threw some ornamentation, she could easily pass herself off as a queen of some small island nation.
"Not a chance." the girl remarked and gazed up towards the sky, sheathing her butterfly swords. After, her gaze returned to Meiko. "I'm sorry that you have to be trapped in the middle of this."
Meiko understood every word in that sentence. But why did they sound like complete and utter gibberish when put together. A bit of context would help here. But she doubted that would come any time soon.
"I wished there was an easier explanation." her visitor joked and let out a chuckle. "As long as you work with all of us, things will go well."
That got her a double take. But considering how confused Meiko was in this moment, kind of expected.
"How rude of me," the girl continues and clears her throat. "My name is Victoria. You must be Meiko."
Meicoomon didn't approve of this interaction, jumping out of their master's arms and going in for a swipe. That probably wasn't the best move to pull on Victoria, but what do we know?
What follows, is the cat digimon being spiked into orbit. Well, it seemed like orbit. But that was mostly because Victoria had gone for a kick when Meicoomon bounced back up.
"Serves them right." Victoria remarked as she returned her attention to Meiko. "Uh... Sorry about yo-"
Before she got a chance to finish her sentence, 'furry' Kari decided now of all times was good to come running up to the duo. Okay, calling her a furry was probably the wrong term here. For starters, she was a catgirl. And a hot pink one at that. Secondly, that isn't the best way to think of a priestess for the forces of darkness.
"Wait, what?" Meiko mumbled and got a chuckle from 'Kari'.
"I'm sorry about this, nya." 'Kari' greeted and pulled Victoria off to the side. Just barely, our unlucky chosen could make out parts of the conversation. Except she could quite make out what language they were speaking in.
But eventually, the pair came back. They were now holding hands and stuff.
"This is my wife," Victoria explained, letting go so that 'Kari' could introduce herself.
"I'm Kuro Neko, nice to meet you... again. Maybe, nya" the catgirl explained as Meiko took her in as well. While she didn't resemble any cat Meiko had ever seen, her fur at least looked quite cuddly. Not that a certain someone was willing to share. Even then, most of that wonderful fur had clothes over it for some reason. More specifically, a set of gray priestess robes. They had no marking of her god, but when you consider that it's her mom or something (it's a very long story), I guess she can make her out from her cat features alone. Of note was her more purple cat eyes on full display, while a cute button nose was constantly sniffing the air in search of fish or any other tasty treats.
Of course, the traditional wedding ring had been forgone for a violet cat tag and purple collar. Which was quite tacky, but got the point across nicely. Especially since it had her as the proud owner of herself. I guess Victoria has one too, perhaps?
Victoria shot the sky a look, only to fish a pink collar and matching tag out. That settles it then.
Finishing off our cat priestess was a flatbow. Kind of like the ones Angemon and Angewomon had. Oh wait. She probably got it off one of them.
"Here's your cat back, by the way."
Somehow, she pulled Meicoomon out from... somewhere. Kind of makes you feel a tiny bit bad for the kitty. Not really, maybe for you.
"There she is!"
Before Meiko had a chance to really thank this kind woman child, something or other, a net was cast over her.
"Those is the girl that laid ruin to it all." a new voice announced, as Sam Ichijoui of all people walked on over. Talk about a dead man walking. Of course, Ken was there as well. Can't forget about him.
