The Hunter and The Huntress
Ice Kingdom
Following the demise of the Cadaver by Simon's hands a fragile time of peace returned to Ooo. Simon met his son Cloud for the first time and reunited with Betty. The two held each other and their son for some time with no words needing to be spoken. Ice Finn and Simone both healed their wounds then met up with Lumen who used his powers to free them from their crowns maddening influence. Although this time it was different for Lumen as the entities instead of demanding a deal or fighting him they gladly surrendered to him and the two were restored to their own mindset. Ice Finn had a hard time after remembering everything he had lost in his insanity and that he had left behind his family to a world ruled by the darkness. Simone instantly thanked Lumen but rushed off to meet with Benny.
The two disappeared for the evening and when they returned Benny already had a crown of power changing his form to one similar to Simon. The couple decided to head back to Aaa and look after their world as Faith had delivered disturbing news that in their champions absence and the confusion of it all Flame Queen had launched an attack on the Candy Kingdom which had tried to hold up against it's might and might have failed without Bubba their if the demon's of the Nightosphere hadn't intervened following orders Marshall had put in place should he ever not be able to be there himself. The Ice couple decided that they should restore their world back to normal and live their lives. It was a sad farewell for Marshall and Simone who had only just reunited but they could always meet or talk through portals and magic.
Shortly after his birth Cloud had three jewels of power show up on his body filling him with powers that the baby was unable to control. Simon and Betty decided to quarantine the Ice Kingdom from outside influence to allow the kingdom to develop and give an environment where Cloud could grow and learn to control his powers without hurting anyone. Ice Finn chose to stay by and offered to be Cloud's mentor given that he had the best control over his powers. The rest of the group decided it was for the best that they sat out of the coming fight as nearly all of them had been without or lost their parents so knew the burden it carried and no one wanted Cloud to grow up without his parents.
Fire Kingdom
Firenze Flame returned with Lumen to the Fire Kingdom. There they bumped into Phoebe and Finn who had emerged from underground looking drained and confused. Flare ran to hold her daughter who did the same. The two elementals flame grew brightly and a rainbow of different coloured flames circled around them. Running to see what the commotion was Flame King, Lily and Light interrupted the reunion. Flame King put Lily in her fathers arms and ran over to his wife lifting her up and holding her tightly.
She held him tightly back understanding that although it had been only days for her... for him it had been years. Phoebe introduced Flare to Finn and their children trying to explain rapidly what had happened but stumbling over their words. Flare let it go on for a while then calmed the pair by telling them she already knew most of it thanks to Lumen. Flame King stood in front of Lumen and for a moment Phoebe was worried what her dad might do but he suddenly got on his knees and bowed to Lumen and thanked him for saving his wife and child all those years ago. Lumen decided to leave the Fire family and Ice family to be with each other.
Marceline's Cave
He shadow morphed back to Marceline's cave where Marshall and Fionna welcomed him back and they headed out of the cave to give them space.
Marceline and Hope were sitting indoors waiting for him. Lumen had been cautious to head in as ever since she'd seen him again all she'd done is hit him. He headed in and was pounced on by the two girls. He looked down and saw Hope holding onto him covering her face with his shirt but he could feel her crying. He started to stroke her head to comfort her. Marceline just smiled and floated back to the sofa. The three caught up with Lumen telling the other two the stories of his travels through time, Marceline catching him up with whats been going on and Hope got to introduce herself to her dad.
Candy Kingdom
In the Candy Kingdom Belle was conked out on a makeshift bed that Bubba and Bonnie had installed in the lab while the two scientists kept working in union. Both understood each others minds perfectly and the machine they were working on so they powered on in silence. A few hours later after tightening the last few bolts, dotting the i's and crossing the t's the two stood back and looked at the chamber that they had built. The chamber with the capability to revive Phoenix.
Over the course of a few days the three gum people traveled to the fire kingdom, Marceline's cave and also to deaths realm. They collected DNA from Phoebe, Flare and the Flame King letting them get a total DNA match. They got Lumen to use his white flames to light a candle that would never go out so it was filled with Life energy and finally the trio headed to Death's realm. They went into his castle to find him and Phoenix sitting playing chess.
"Phoenix!" Bonnie yelled happily. She ran over to him to hug him but stopped awkwardly not sure if she was allowed to so he stood up and hugged her to make it clear all the bad stuff was in the past.
"How you been Bonnibel?" He asked cheerfully, as much as Phoenix had surprisingly enjoyed his time with Death and the other ancestral Flame royals who had offered him both lessons in combat and in education leaving him feeling much more confident as a person.
"I've been... I've been fine what about you?"
"Well truth be told I've been feeling DEAD tired lately" he had hoped it would be a funny joke since he had been planning it for a while but the colour drained from Bonnie's face as she stared at him. Bubba leaned forward and patted his shoulder commenting that it was too soon while Belle found the joke hilarious.
"ANYWAY... moving on... what brings you guys to Deaths place? Not that I'm not happy to see you because frankly I am"
"We came to bring you back"
"You found a way to bring me back?"
"Yes... but there is something you will need to know about it..."
"Whats that Bonnibel?" He had imagined that Death was keeping his soul's body intact for a reason but couldn't believe it was so he could be revived.
"You will come back not as your age but as a child with no memories of your past... over time the memories may come back to you but you will be a baby again... you will literally have to live your life again..." Bonnie hadn't been able to find a way to restore Phoenix's body back to what it had been.
"So I'd get to have a second chance in a way?... who would care for me as if you couldn't have guessed my mother didn't really want to?"
"It's down to you but I talked to the Flame King and Queen and they have said they would love to take the chance to raise you... as their son and Phoebe's younger brother..."
"Flame Queen? As in Phoebe's mother, she's alive?"
"Yes... it's a long story to be honest with you Phoenix."
"I'm sure it can wait but... to reply to your question... It sounds great" Phoenix smiled at the Princess. The idea of redoing everything and being raised by his genderbender's parents was a bit strange sounding but the thought of being raised in a family with love and care... sounded perfect.
"Then when your ready, lets get going"
"Wait Bonnibel... My elemental matrix is still unstable, until Lumen is back I won't be able to go anywhere." Bonnie smiled at Bubba who pulled out a smaller candle that was also lit with a white flame. He put the flame into Phoenix's body which burned white and very bright before settling down.
"That... was way too easy..." Phoenix stared down at his body in disbelief.
"That's science Phoenix, sometimes it makes everything easy" Bonnie chuckled. The two carried on chatting for a little while before deciding it was time. Death compressed Phoenix's soul into an orb which he handed to the royals. They headed back towards the Candy kingdom where they combined all they had gathered and started their machine. It caused a major blackout in the Candy Kingdom but it had worked and inside the machine was a little baby boy who Bonnie personally carried over to the Fire Kingdom. Flare and Flame King happily accepted Phoenix, their new baby boy.
Elsewhere
Meanwhile Bella had disappeared during Simon and Betty's reunion. Some of the others had wanted to go and find her but Lumen asked them to give her some space. Her and BMO2 had headed to the MO factory in order to see if BMO* could be restored. Unfortunately there was no repairing him anymore as BMO was meant to be one of a kind it was just not possible. However Moe set up his memory and golden heart to a device that allowed BMO* to experience memories of the best life he possibly could before his little heart stopped working giving him a good send off. BMO2 had forgiven Bella but could not forget so the two had gone off on a mission that would make up for what Bella had done. Nobody had heard from them since.
Meanwhile in a wild-wood somewhere in Ooo
It was a dark night with a thousand stars twinkling above in the sky. The wind rustled the leaves in the trees and made the blades of grass that covered the forest's clearing dance in the moonlight. The sounds of the wild animals could be heard sometimes but mainly it was quiet and tranquil. Suddenly a yellow light shot down into the forest and out stepped a young boy aged 16. He had light gray skin, short raven coloured hair with a streak of blonde, he wore a blue flannel shirt and black shorts with black boots. He had a red demon sword on his back ready for battle. The light disappeared leaving him standing there once again in the tranquil moonlight.
"Sooo this is Ooo back in the day huh... Cloud wasn't too clear if things had got ugly when he vanished but Belle's efforts to stabilize the time line for a new person to come back was a great idea... well I guess since she doesn't yet know I exist I guess she wouldn't really have been able to predict me" The young boy laughed to himself and then froze, the air around him had gotten tense, he could taste the suspense that lingered. He waited and then felt killing intent behind him as two arrows fired at him from the bushes. He cut them down with his sword and then dodged the two that followed.
"Who is it that disturbs my forest home?" came a voice from the dark. A girl stepped out of the bushes and in the moonlight her appearance was visible. She had leaf hair and tree branch antlers coming out of her tanned hood. She had a black eye mask but her light green eyes were visible underneath. Her skin was turquoise and she wore a purple shirt, tan pants, a black belt, black cape and long black/purple boots. On her back she sported a quiver of arrows but held no bow. The last notable part of her appearance was that she wore a tanned glove on one hand. The boy looked at her and thought that she was a strange but oddly captivating girl.
"When one asks for another's name isn't it common practice to present your own name first?"
"You've been raised in a royal environment?"
"You could tell that from one sentence?"
"When one lives in a world where they are treated soft they tend to gain a set of rules for the wild world that only match to those who are like them. They become less than ordinary people with their own tongue" She retorted not with malice but with intent to understand.
"You're kind of a weird lady but I dig it, I may be of royal blood but it doesn't make me soft, I probably feel as at home in these woods as you do so may I ask lady of the forest what is your name?"
"Huntress Wizard" She was fascinated with the boy outside the forest. He seemed to understand her ways.
"Well Huntress it's a pleasure to meet you, oddly enough, My name is Hunter-Lee Abadeer but you can call me Hunter" He chuckled at the similarity in there names.
"Hunter... I like it... but Lee Abadeer... are you related to the Vampire King that resides within the Cave of Marceline?"
"Yeah, crazy as it sounds but I'm his son from the future from a different time line that is being shaped due to the present being changed... sounds insane doesn't it"
"Crazy is as Crazy does, Being insane doesn't mean one is not sane but they are in a state where the sane is not the insane to them... You aren't lying, if you were the forest wouldn't accept you so but Hunter what are you doing here?"
"Well Huntress I came to help like my friends from the future who are children of Ooo's current champions however I also came to tell everyone what's changed so far in the future... but I've just arrived here and to be honest I haven't yet decided what direction to head in to meet up with my Dad."
"Well your more exceptional than not quite ordinary but I have a feeling that we are meant to go together so allow me to take to you to your father Hunter, I have a feeling you will keep me strong." She drew closer to him and seemed to inspect him.
"Well... you're more talking to yourself there than me Huntress but lead the way, lets go meet my Dad." Huntress began to run through the trees. Hunter smiled and looked at his hands and feet. He watched them turn into claws that were great for gripping and let a tail grow out behind him before jumping up and swinging through the trees. He's demon blood had let him collect a few powers from evil demon's he'd slayed including a semi-morphing skill that wasn't quite on the level of Hope, Marcy or Marshall but still had it's perks.
Finn, Lumen and Bonnie - Candy Kingdom
Finn and Bonnie sat in silence as Lumen told them the events of the past. He apologised to Bonnie for leading her to Immortality in such a harsh way but she told him not to mind as it was the right thing to do. Lumen then told Finn about meeting his father, Finn's past and the truth about his mother. After letting the pair know all of the details about he's travels Lumen decided to head home. He wanted to talk with Marcy and Hope more.
The pair saw Lumen off before heading back to the room to talk more.
"So... my Dad's not a bad guy and I come from space?"
"Well I think it's more likely that whatever humans were left decided to escape the destruction of earth and developed a community on a compatible planet somewhere out there. I don't know where Martin was heading but you landing here is more of fate than anything. Fionna ended up in Aaa so we know this was your destination" Bonnie was trying to be comforting but even she had a hard time accepting what Lumen had said. Finn's father wasn't a jerk criminal but a doting Dad who was willing to sacrifice everything he loved for his son.
"Yeah... but that means that the darkness has been messing with all of our lives before we were even born and like... where my Dad Bonnie...?"
"I'm not sure but I could try finding him.." Bonnie went over to the computer that was in the room and began to type away.
"How can you find him?"
"Well if he's ships as advanced as it sounds I'll be able to contact it hopefully or at least detect it."
"Do you really think that'll work?"
"...It already has..." Bonnie replied stunned, she leant over to a radio that was near by and began to speak into the microphone.
"Martin Mertens, Calling Martin Mertens"
The radio went silent and the two waited for a response. The suspense was building. All that went through Finn's mind is what Lumen had said. It made sense to him, how could his Dad be a bad guy after all he was his Dad. Roselinen had even said that Martin was important.
The two continued to listen to the static of the radio hoping for the reply.
"Martin Mertens, Calling Martin Mertens"
Still radio silence.
Finn had grown restless waiting with no response so he asked Bonnie to hand him the microphone.
"Martin... Dad it's your boy Finn here, I know that I've been hard on you and that it must of been hard but Lumen... Ivel told me the truth about you... I know everything and listen to me please... you don't have to do this... I don't need nor want a sacrifice I just want my Dad who loves me and wants to watch me as I grow... I need a Dad..." Finn sighed heavily and then put the Mic down. It had been a bit too much to handle and so Finn went to step out of the room quick but as soon as his hand reached the handle he heard the static.
"...bzt...bzt...Finn...bzt...bad...bzt...bzt...sig-...bzt...-nal...bzt...bzt...bzt...fixing...now...Over." Bonnie jumped onto the radio and began to tune the dials trying to fix the signal while Finn stood speechless.
"Finn are you there? It's Martin here, your Dad... Finn? Are you there? Over." Martin's voice rang out from the radio.
"Yes Dad, I'm here... Over."
"Finn I'ma need you to listen to me ma'boy and listen carefully okay? Over."
"...Ermm.. Affirmative...Over.?"
"I know that I was never there for you like both of us wanted and I know that I should have fought to find a way for us to stay together but I did what I had to do... I don't expect you to forgive me."
(Song begins to play in the background coming through the Radio)

"Finn... I'ma about to give you my first and last piece of fatherly advice... Ivel told me about your kids from the future which means one day I'ma be a granddad which you have no idea how proud that makes me and how happy it would have made your mother... but You will learn that there's no distance... no limit and nothing that will stop you from protecting those children... Family means everything and you have one with those kids ready and waiting for you... but me... I'm an old man whose only positive note is what I'm about to accomplish... so please don't count what you don't have but count what you do..."

"Speak to me Dad?"...
"...please" Finn fell to the floor letting the microphone roll away. He started to sob and felt his body weaken, if it weren't for Bonnie holding him as he cried he would probably have been flat on the ground lost of reason.
Bonnie looked up at the monitor and saw a satellite image of Ooo an saw that a weird bubble now surrounded the whole planet. She theorised that this must have been the fabric tear in reality what Martin meant... it wouldn't last long maybe a few months from what she could tell but it would slow the darkness none the less... Martin Mertens... Space Pirate... Dad... a man who gave his life so he's son could be that little bit more prepared to fight the darkness that loomed. Deep within Bonnie respect for the human dad welled up. She held Finn as tighter her arms shaking from his uncontrollable sobbing. This would be a wound that would not heal easily for the Human Hero Prince.
Edge of the Wild-wood
Two individuals burst from the woods at a frightening pace before settling to a stop in the grasslands. Huntress Wizard turned to look at Hunter who was morphing he's body back to normal.
"How is it possible to change your form like you do?" Hunter looked up to see Huntress looking at him curiously.
"I'm part Demon on my fathers side and he has the ability to absorb the power of demons he killed... well he did before he became a vampire but since I'm not a vampire I still have the ability. If i kill a demon or something else i suppose I pick up it's ability's"
"So you have slain a beast with this power before?"
"Yeah, it was trying to eat children from the Rose Kingdom by transforming into their parents and leading them to the woods. It tried to do the same to me when I was visiting Prince Ivy but it wasn't expecting a half demon half human raised by a Hero and a vampire king."
"Rose Kingdom?"
"Oh you don't know about it yet... I guess it is pretty knew but I think you'd like it... I think now i know where we are it's on the way how about we check it out?" Hunter asked the ever curious wizard.
"I uh... I worry that I may not be the best of company but yes I would like to go check it out, this Kingdom of Roses that you speak of" She tried to return he's smile but she got embarrassed and gestured for him to lead the way. He decided it would be more fun to travel any other way than by foot so he let wings grow from his back. They were large, beautiful white wings that had a large span.
"Hold on tight" He said to Huntress before she could respond and grabbed her before taking off. She held onto his neck careful not to let go while watching the ground fly past below. She felt the wind hit her as they flew and looked up at the night sky so close to the stars. She reached out as if she could touch them but pulled back when she noticed Hunter smiling at her. Unbeknownst to him she blushed below her mask.
"Here we are" Said Hunter as he landed gently onto the ground and withdrew his wings. He's clothes self repaired from he's transformations so there was no damage otherwise he'd end up having to bring a lot of spares. The two walked through the moonlit kingdom taking in the fresh natural air it gave out. The whole kingdom was formed through Prince Ivy's powers and made of natural flowers, plants and tree's. Every home was a slightly hollow tree like Finn and Jakes but more designed and decorated with an array of coloured flowers. In the centre of the Kingdom was a giant rose bush and a memorial to someone called Fiolee from their last world. The two walked up to the giant rose and stood beneath it.
"This Kingdom... everything about this place is so beautiful... I can't begin to describe it..." Huntress Wizard said amazed. Her body was swelling with power from the nature that surrounded them.
"My Dad sings a lot and he use to sing a little rhyme he made after he and my Mum visited her for a get away... would you like to listen?"
"I would like to very much..." Hunter smiled at her response.
"Flowers in the garden,
Dancing in the night,
Growing for the daytime,
Dancing in the light,
Flowers in the garden,
Red, Blue and white,
Showing off your colours,
Dazzling, Dark and Bright,
Flowers in the garden,

Hunter stopped the rhyme and continued to stare at the flower. Huntress had been listening to every word knowing that the one who had made that rhyme had made in thinking of both the Rose Kingdom and of the one they love. She felt herself getting warm inside as she stood beside Hunter and she couldn't help but smile. The thoughts and feelings that came with the wizards powers that would ravish her mind whenever she showed even the slightest gap in inner strength never came to her when she was with him. She didn't know what caused it but beside this boy there was no weakness it was like he was a strength to her like if she was a flower, he'd be the stalk that held her up.
"Come on I'm sure there's loads more to see" Hunter said smiling. He grabbed hold of her hand and began to run. The two spent hours running around the Kingdom exploring it's different collection of herbs and flowers, weird shaped bushes and strange plants like one that would apply lip gloss to you if you kissed the leaf. Hunter had thought it would be funny so tried it but decided to wash it off after the usually composed Huntress burst into a fit of laughter at the sight of him. By the time they had done exploring the Kingdom and picking fruit to eat the sun had started rising on the horizon.
"That's a beautiful sunset don't you think Huntress?" Hunter asked as he bit into his 7 flavored fruit (Banana, Apple, Peach, Pair, Plum, Orange and Mango. It changed depending on what part you bit into.)
"I have never witnessed a sunset quite like the one I see now. It is like the sun is trying to ask the world to surrender to it's light and let its rays pierce their hearts"
"You have a way with words Huntress you know that right?" Huntress didn't respond to his comment as she was too captivated with the sunlight and the many flowers opening in the Rose Kingdom showing a beauty that the night before could not reveal.
"Come on Huntress... It's time to see my Dad" He took out his wings again and picked the girl up again. This time she held onto him tightly and held herself against his body. She could hear his heart beating in his chest and began to question why it was that hearing that made hers beat harder.
The sun was well into the sky by the time they had arrived at Marceline Cave. They walked right in and stood in front of the house. Almost immediately two figures appeared from the shadows behind them. Two turned visible either side of them and in front of them stood a blonde girl pointing her sword at them.
"What are you doing here Huntress Wizard?" asked Marceline
"I am but a guide to a person who wishes to be here. Nature is life's guide and I am nature therefore I am the guide to life" She replied in her usual fashion.
"Okay then? Rewording that... Dude who are you and what you want with us?" Marshall asked indicating to Hunter. Hunter smiled at him and then thought of something fun.
"Before I answer that I wanna check something out, Marshall and Fionna would you care to have a 2 on 1 fight with me quickly... if you beat me I'll tell you everything you want to know?"
"2 on 1? Think a bit too much of yourself don't ya' kid, I am big and bad enough for you so sorry Fi I'ma be taking this one" Marshall said with confidence. He stood in front of the boy and then swung his axe at him which Hunter easily deflected with his sword. Marshall then ran at him swinging and kicking to test how quick Hunter could react. He dodged and deflected each and every hit Marshall tried to make and then used he's sword to disarm Marshall.
"Not bad Kiddo but lets see you deal with this..." Marshall threw his axe to Marcy who easily caught it. He began to transform into a large bat form and went to hit Hunter with a giant claw but Hunter easily dodged everything again shocking Marshall. He looked closer and realised the boy had grown ears, he's eyes had turned from blue to yellow and he's iris's matched that of a wolf. He ran up Marshall's arm and using the claws that had replaced his usual fists he began to claw at the Vampire King who was trying to catch up to him.
After a few minutes Marshall was on the ground covering his face which was covered in a variety of cuts. Fionna then stepped forward with her Angel Sword and readied a stance.
"You're going to regret hurting my boyfriend" She said with a smile which unnerved Huntress a little.
The human girl dove into the fight slashing her sword in a way only someone who had handled a-many-a weapon could. She deflected all the hits Hunter aimed but he also deflected hers. The two seemed evenly matched so she turned the sword into her wings and banged her wrists together causing her bracelets to turn into two blades. She flew and Hunter who dodged by back flipping out of the way. She was waiting to slash him when he landed but he never did so she looked up to see him with his white wings out. Irritation set in as she flew up and began to fight him in the air. Like with Marshall the fight didn't last too long and Fionna landed beside Marshall breathing deeply. Hunter raised his hands and sheathed his sword before Marceline and Hope felt the need to jump in.
"Who... Who taught you to fight like that?" Fionna managed to ask through her breathing.
"Yeah... Who are ya' kid?"
"It's a long story but to keep it short... It was you two that taught me to fight like that... and my name is Hunter-Lee Abadeer and I'm your son from the future." The two of them looked at him confused and shocked.

Cloud asked me to come back as when he was forced back he said it was a bad timing deal." Everyone but Huntress was taken back... the future had changed and Marshall and Fionna now had a son.
"Wait... Your how old?" Marceline managed to ask.
"I'm 16 why?"
"That's not possible... Cloud turned 16 and he went back to his own time just a few weeks ago... you'd have to be born now in order to exist... which is impossible."
"True but I'm 16 and from 16 years and 8 months into the future. Cloud and Me were working on a way for me to stay in this time even after I'm born"
"...Wait... 8 months... wouldn't that mean?" Everyone looked over at Fionna. Hope flew over and held her hand to her stomach and then gasped loudly.
"Its true... Fionna.. you're pregnant". Marshall and Fionna looked at Hunter.
"Nice to meet you Mum and Dad" He said smiling at them.
Chapter 32 and the introduction of Hunter :) I've been wanting to add Huntress Wizard into the story for a while but could never seem to find the right time but with seeing more of her in 'Flute Spell' I just felt like I had to and I thought it'd be a bit of fun to pair up Hunter and the Huntress.
