A few days later Skye had literally begged Kayla to go to Ward to found out what he knew about the alien writing that Coulson had started drawing, and seeing how worried Skye was she agreed. Ward stood up the moment she walked down the stairs, his face lighting up as usual.

"I need information" Kayla announced, holding up the alien writing on her tablet.

"Garrett started etching that into glass once his was given the formula" Ward replied.

"Garrett was carving this?" Kayla questioned, as Ward nodded.

"Did he say what it was? Why he was drawing it?" Kayla inquired.

"No, but he wasn't making much sense after he was injected with the GH Formula…who's writing is this? Is it Skye's?" Ward asked.

"No, it's Coulson's" Kayla informed him.

"Good, you're not close to him…because once Garrett started he couldn't stop. The writing was anywhere he could carve it, on the walls, on the floor" He explained.

"I was relieved when S.H.I.E.L.D put him down. The Garrett I knew was long gone once the writing started and whatever took his place…I don't think it was meant to survive…You should stay away from Coulson" Ward warned her.

"You think he could be dangerous?" Kayla queried.

"Very" Ward answered.

"I can take care of myself" Kayla insisted, as she walked out of the room, eager to tell Skye what she had found out.

Not soon after they got a call from Raina who wanted to make some sort of deal about urgent information. They had decided to meet her in a restaurant, May and Skye in the kitchen, Hunter and Kayla on a nearby table while Coulson was the one who would actually speak to her.

"Still nothing" Hunter announced, as Raina was late.

"Copy that…Incoming at 4:00" May said, into their earpieces, as she spotted Raina.

"The tiny girl in the flower dress? That's who everyone's making such a fuss about?" Hunter asked.

"Trust me, she's a lot more dangerous than she looks" Kayla informed him.

"It's good to see you, Agent Coulson" Raina smiled.

"Raina" Coulson nodded, as they sat down.

"I was worried you weren't going to accept my invitation...but perhaps I wasn't the only one looking forward to our next meeting" Raina stated, raising an eyebrow.

"Is she hitting on him?" Hunter questioned.

"Yep. That's what she does" May told him.

"You implied there was something urgent to discuss, so here I am. Either way, you're gonna give me what I want" Coulson explained.

"You've changed, Agent Coulson" Raina exclaimed.

"Might just be circumstance, considering last time, you had me strapped into your little memory machine. I was only trying to help. You want to help? Tell me where to find the Obelisk" Coulson offered.

"I'm afraid it's out of my hands" Raina shrugged.

"That really doesn't work for me. I've seen what that thing can do. It's too dangerous to be out in the real world" Coulson insisted.

"You've only seen the beginning. Just because something's powerful doesn't make it dangerous" Raina argued.

"In this case, it's more the death and destruction" Coulson retorted.

"You must believe me, Agent Coulson...we want the same thing" Raina stated.

"Unless it's an end to this conversation, I'm pretty sure we don't" Coulson pressed.

"You really know how to make a girl feel special" Raina mocked.

"Only when I suspect she has something up her sleeve" Coulson implied.

"It's in my purse, actually. Right now, HYDRA's looking for a spy within their ranks. I wonder what would happen to Agent Simmons...if this were to fall into the wrong hands" Raina questioned, showing Coulson a picture of her sending information to S.H.I.E.L.D.

"I don't like being threatened" Coulson glared.

"This isn't a threat. It's a gesture of goodwill. I would like nothing more than to delete that photo" Raina suggested.

"And in return, what do you want?" Coulson asked.

"From you? Nothing. But I will need to take Skye with me…oh, and Kayla" Raina announced, confusing Kayla.

"Excuse me? What in the hell is this really about? And why, also why in the hell, do you think I would ever let that happen?" Coulson inquired.

"To prevent every HYDRA employee from receiving an automated e-mail with that photo. You have two minutes, after which, there's nothing I can do" Raina stated, setting a timer.

"Where are you planning to take them?" Coulson queried.

"Somewhere Skye always wanted to go...to meet her dad" Raina informed him, peaking Kayla's attention.

"So you're what...working for Skye's father now?" Coulson asked.

"I'm just trying to make the best out of a difficult situation" Raina replied.

"By threatening the life of two of my agents?" Coulson argued.

"By allowing them to find out who she really is. That's what Skye's been searching for her whole life. Ask her yourself, Agent Coulson. She's here, isn't she...listening? Skye needs to know that her father loves her very much, that she was taken from him against his will, that he's spent her entire life searching for her. No matter how much you've changed, Agent Coulson, deep down, you're still a good man. No good man would intentionally keep a daughter from her father...especially when so much is at stake. And Kayla too…he knows her parents, he can help her find them" Raina offered.

"You're running out of time. Give Skye what she's always wanted...or else Agent Simmons dies" Raina smirked.

"No deal" Coulson said, pushing the phone towards her.

Kayla had, had enough and stood up to walk towards the pair, angrily.

"What the hell are you doing?! I'll happily go with her right now" Kayla insisted.

"See, she wants to" Raina stated.

"I said, no deal. You will stand by my orders" Coulson told Kayla.

"The hell will I. Simmons is going to die!" Kayla exclaimed.

"Look, it's not too late. We can fix this. No one needs to get hurt" Raina explained, as the timer got lower.

"Please" Raina begged, as Coulson smirked at her, the timer finishing.

"Unbelievable" Kayla sighed, finding it hard to stomach that her 'boss' would put Simmons in so much danger

Coulson insisted that he had an extraction plan for Simmons and then injected Raina with a tracker so that when Whitehall came after her, they would be able to find him. They also forced Raina to give them the address of Skye's father. As soon as Skye and Kayla got this information they made a silent agreement to go find him, and sneaked off without being seen.
